Ishida vs. Hasch half:

"Oh? But look at THIS! My powers are basically exactly the same as yours but explained differently!"
"Oh no! But mine still work too! I feel a pattern coming on here!"

P. obvious that Isshin is probably going to step in in Ichigo's fight and Ryuken is gonna step in in Ishida's fight and probably both go like "Go, I can buy you a few seconds against this guy so you can go do some nonsense plot thing to get a virtually unexplained power up and own them for two pages before they gain the upper hand again."

You know, like Isshin did for Ichigo with Aizen. Just now it will happen twice, and without the Dangai to make a few seconds into like a year or whatever.

I have to agree with Hidane on both parts honestly... I can't honestly say that it even surprised me with the Ishida vs Ryuken fight, I kinda expected Ishida to go "Oh hey look at this!" and then Ishida go "Congrats on that, but mine still trumps yours". That's how Yhwach and Ryuken seem to work, Able to instantly and completely counter everything the two 'main' characters can do without so much as a half-assed real explanation.

...is it just me or did absolutely nothing happen in this week's chap?

Kubo is stalling for time until he can think of a way to write himself out of the hole he's gotten into.

calling it now, the reason we've seen tsukishima's cameo in the soul society is for this moment right here since juha has the ability to fuck up the future they're gonna use his power to somehow alter that.
