Hey there, welcome to BSRP - Bleach Society Role-Play! We are a Beginner to Advanced role play site that offers a full cast of canon characters from the series with a liquid plot.


Since we are a canon site with non-canon elements, it's recommended that you have some prior knowledge about the series. We have supplied some summaries about the different races in our [Bleach Dictionary] (spoilers in there), but any further inquiries can be answered on the [Bleach Wikia] or [Bleach's Wikipedia page] (also has spoilers).

Disclaimer:
This site is not spoiler free. This includes many pictures on guides, and many of our systems use the most up-to-date Bleach information based on the manga, anime and databooks.


First, go read the [Rules] and the [Plot Page]. This supplies your basic know how on how the site is run as well as give you a setting to place your character and make it so they adhere to our open-ended plot.

Also we are a character-per-account site, so you must make an additional account for every character you make. See the Rules for details on filling out your mini-profile!



Role playing (Rping) is the concept of making a character and playing out a story, only on rp forums we do so through the use of story and expression. You're literally 'playing a role'; this is not a game universe. But there is still the freedom of an open world, within which your character can do anything or be anyone that you want them to be within the Bleach universe. Just keep in mind this comes with rules and limitations in order to keep everyone in a fun and fair roleplaying environment.



Firstly, pick which race you want your character to be. We have:

Shinigami (Soul Reaper), Hollow, Arrancar, Quincy, Human, Fullbringer, Bount, Mod Souls, Vizard and Substitute-Shinigami (Substitute-Soul Reaper).

However, Vizards and Sub-Shinigami cannot be selected as a starting race (unless you choose to take a Canon Sub-Shini), as both must be acquired via IC merit. But once you've decided, head to the [Race Guides] for said race, as well as the [Profile Guide]. The race's respective guide has all you need to know about your chosen race and what is allowable, along with links to the systems we use in making one, such as the [Ranking System] and the [Mastery System]. The Profile Guide will provide universal laws and restrictions that we apply throughout the site on every kind of character, so be sure to check that out too.

When you've looked through the Race Guide, it's now time to take a look through the respective [Character Profile Template]. There is a walkthrough on how to complete your template in the respective Race Guide under Section Three.

If you want to take a certain appearance for your character, reserve the claim in the [Face Claim List]. If the face claim isn't reserved and someone asks to use that claim later, you may lose that face claim.

After posting in the [Profile Registry], it may take the staff a day or two to get to it. Please be patient about this!



We refer to certain things on our site as 'canon positions' or 'canon characters'. Canon Characters are characters straight from the Bleach Universe which you can roleplay as if you wish. Canon Positions refer primarily to our Substitute Shinigami.

You may start with a Canon if you want! Just check if they're open in the [Canon List] and that you follow the [Canon Character Guidelines]. 

For Canon Substitute Shinigami, they follow the same rules of activity as normal canon characters. What positions are open are within the [Substitute Shinigami Canon List], but details on what they are and their restrictions are all within the [Substitute Shinigami Race Guide]



Sure, go ahead! You can have as many characters as you can keep active.



Great! The moderator who approved you should automatically the lists. But now you can create a thread in any of the In Character boards and roleplay away! You can also go join or request plots in the [Plot Request] board, you can create and monitor your in-character relationships in the [Relationship Plot] board, if you're a Shinigami you can get a seat in your squad in the [Gotei 13] board if your captain is active, or if you want a thread tracker, create one in the [Character List] board.

Or you can get your character stronger instead. You can do this by using the [Improvement Guide] to post IC training threads of abilities or masteries and then submit them for review in the [Improvement Board]. Or you can submit any in character thread for plot points that can be used to upgrade your techniques or masteries the same way. This is explained in [Plot Point System].



We have a few things that happen on the site! Most prominently are the Of The Months rewards, where the best Member, Character and Thread can get nominated for the spotlight and reward of 100 event points. Anything like these contests and such will be announced [here]

Every two months we have checks: The Face Claim Check and the Canon Check, wherein if you don't post without an away message, you're liable to having them taken from you. And finally every 6-12 months or so, we also hold a tournament, where you can get some pretty sweet prizes! Also general site updates happen semi-frequently (depending on how lazy Kaz is), so check out the [Newsfeed] for anything new going on.
