Snapping his eyes open Alrich stared into the dark as he sat sprawled on his bed. Looking over to his bedside table a grimace seen by no one appeared on his face as he realized it was only three on the morning. Sleeping through the night had been a rare commodity these days for the brown haired Bount. He could never find out why, but he would always wake up in a cold sweat, as if he had a nightmare. But for the longest time he could never even remember if he still dreamed. Life was so weird now. Sometimes, it was even scarce to think what he lived now could even be considered a real life. His family was gone. All killed more than five hundred years ago.
Five hundred years ago ...
That was definitely not something any normal person could say about events within their life. Ever since he was turned into what he is today, life had been hard. Thankfully he got over what seemed like the worst of it, the mass murdering of what Soul Society deemed as evil and dangerous. Even though it was they who created him and the others like him. It just made no sense whenever he thought about it. Why did they never give the Bount a chance to continue on their lives? They just made a split second decision it seemed just to keep them from becoming some sort of, misguided idea of a problem. And they could do nothing or say nothing on the matter, they were just cast out and deemed appropriately helpless.
Sitting up from his laying position, Alrich took a moment for a yawn to escape before getting up to go make himself a pot of coffee. Switching on the light in his kitchenette once he made his way down to the second floor of his apartment, he looked around and sighed. He tried at least. To continue his human existence. It never lasted long though, as it seemed every time he got settled in and used to everything, he had to leave because the Soul Society caught on to what he was. Thankfully for the longest time he had not been seen by anyone within their ranks. At least he had that going for him. These thoughts and others like it, continued to fill his head as he started his coffee and went back to his room upstairs, to throw on a shirt as he got ready to live out the rest of the night awake.
Unaware that he was being monitored the entire time.
