Plot details: Okay, so anyone that knows about Gage knows that he works for Polarity. The have assigned him to a R/D grou[p that is looking for a set of Hol;low masks that are kind of scattered around the world. The next clue to finding the next mask is somewhere in a small village in the Rokugankai place...the outter edges of Soul Society. Gage and Elan [his traveling companion] head there to find this contact that may know where the next mask is but get caught up in some kind of plague. This plague turns normal pluses into hollows or kills them outright so the Soul Society responds. Gage and Elan both have to pretend to be shinigami students looking for extra credit so they are able to stick around until chaos begins. Elan is killed or kidnaped and Gage ends up defending the town as best he can but is mortally wounded and infected by the disease that converts humans into hollows. One of the shinigami turn to him nd try to dispatch him out of respect but in stabbing him through the chest he converts Gage into a sub shinigami while accidentally killing himself from the sudden loss of strength. Then Gage takes one day to take care of the hollow problem before he will raid every mountain cave within a hundred miles to find Elan. Now Gage has learned his shikai name. Bam, totes bro.
