Tatsuya is rather tall and gangly-limbed for someone his age, standing at 5 foot 7 and weighing somewhere in the ballpark of 130 pounds. He has a rather skinny build, but beneath the clothes has a surprising amount of muscle tone from regular martial arts training. That said, his sloping shoulders and delicate frame don't make for a very imposing figure. His hair is black, and his eyes are a fairly light brown.
Upon comparing him with a Japanese native, Tatsuya's mixed heritage becomes obvious. Aside from his diminished epicanthic folds and lighter skin, his facial structure has an unmistakably caucasian bent to it, with a sharply angled jawline and distinctive roman nose.

PERSONALITY

    Outwardly, Tatsuya seems to be a fairly normal young man, a bit too serious for his own good, but otherwise pretty easygoing. However, one can't shake the feeling that there's something off about him. Whether he's hanging out with his friends, participating in club activities, or just relaxing at home, everything he does seems forced somehow. Like he has to really try just to function. When looking deeper, it becomes clear that Tatsuya is an individual who doesn't like letting other people know how he really feels. Ever since he was little, he's had a volatile temper and is prone to violent outbursts that always get him in trouble. As a way of dealing with his anger issues, he has taken to simply bottling up his emotions and refusing to show them to anybody. While this has allowed him to function more normally, this practice is ultimately very unhealthy for Tatsuya, and although he has eliminated his day-to-day problems, one cannot repress their emotions forever. Occasionally Tatsuya becomes unable to restrain himself any longer, and is forced to decompress all at once. Sometimes violently. These outbursts are few and far between, however, and Tatsuya is mostly happy with repressing as much as he can for as long as he can, as he hasn't been able to find any better alternatives.
    Tatsuya's interests are fairly limited, he really only focuses on school and his one hobby, martial arts. He considers martial arts (specifically Judo) his only outlet, where he can channel his aggression safely and constructively. He also shows a great appreciation for nature, and likes to spend large chunks of his free time simply lounging around in the wilderness, and feels that nature is the only place where he is truly at peace.
    Tatsuya speaks both English and Japanese fluently, though English is his first language, and his newness to the language and Japan itself shows itself on occasion through mistakes with honorifics or forgetting to introduce himself surname-first. (He introduces himself "Tatsuya Ueda", as in America, but this sometimes causes confusion now that he's in Japan.)

HISTORY

Tatsuya is not a Japanese native, in fact he was born in Alaska. His father was from Alaska, a tall, redheaded man descended from Danish immigrants to the US. He worked as a pilot for the US postal service and was often away. His mother was a second-generation Japanese immigrant, and was in fact the one who taught Tatsuya to speak Japanese. Tatsuya took his mother's name at her wishes, and their life was fairly unremarkable until Tatsuya entered primary school. There his temper became more evident, and he was always getting into fights and arguments with his fellow classmates. This ended up escalating to a point where he was being regularly suspended from school. Although he was pretty bright and always did well in his classes, his abysmal disciplinary record halted his progress repeatedly throughout his pre-highschool career. It wasn't until he began highschool that he started to manage his temper the way he does now, but by then it was a case of too little, too late. His family, at his mother's insistence, decided to make their way to Japan to make a fresh start for their son. Sure enough, since arriving in Japan and starting school, Tatsuya has maintained a spotless disciplinary record, and has thus far been doing exceptionally well for himself.

Description: Judo is Ju-jitsu's father in the martial arts tree, acting as a more offensive-based locking and breaking martial arts. While Ju-jitsu and Sambo both have forms that one follows to utilize the martial arts, Judo is a completely freeform style and actually lacks a style of any sort, no matter what part of Judo you look to. Judo's main focal point as a martial art is it's violent power behind it, which Ju-jitsu tends to shy away from, in no way is Judo overly offensive, but rather, it lacks defensive catagories outside of disarming and locking people.

Training Judo is much like Ju-jitsu, meaning it requires a partner or a humanoid body to properly train. Commonly, Judo will utilize anything from throws and punches in sparring, often times sparring in Judo is considered a fight all it's own, proving the emphasis on the power of this style.

Finding a place to train Judo isn't hard, but it isn't a universal or sport martial arts. If you go to learn Judo, you're out there to learn self-defense, not to learn how to do it within a sport.

Description: Nage-Waza are the throwing techniques of Judo, and are many different. From completely tossing people, to throwing them off you, there would be too many throwing techniques to list without needing more space to put other things. This ability works off the fundamentals of all throwing Techniques, in which the practitioner of Judo, if given the chance that they have both hands clasped onto an opponents arm, can invoke the use of their spiritual energy to instantaneously cause a throw of intense power.

Description: Katame Waza are the grappling techniques of Judo, but they all fall down to the basic fundamental of grappling something or someone, and that is to grab and lock them. The use of this as a technique is simple, upon utilizing any grapple, the user can increase the power on the grapple itself and then proceed to twist the arm brutally, causing immense pain and then an eventual fracture in such a way that the arm is forced to stay pointed to where-ever the user had it pointed in the first place.

Name: Atemi-Waza [Striking Techniques]
Class: Hand to Hand Technique

Description: Atemi-Waza are the striking techniques of Judo, but rather then Karate in which they have many variants, the most unique a Striking technique gets is how much emphasis you put into it. This is focused on by any Judo user who is in the situation in which they can land a punch, making them able to enhance it with their own power to increase their strength and deal an immense amount of damage in a single punch or graze, causing things from broken jaws to broken noses.
