FRIENDS
Arthur is a studious, often serious young man who pursues his academics with as much passion as his Quincy training. He has a strong bout of "Quincy pride" and believes that the Quincy represent the best opportunity for Humanity to reach the heights of its power. Accordingly, he will have difficulty maintaining positive relationships with Shinigami or those opposed to the Quincy cause. He has a soft spot for well-spoken, intelligent types, but also makes quick connections with those in need of mentoring or protection.
Some relationships I'd like to find:
- A few fellow Quincies, so that he has some comrades-in-arms. Since he only came to Japan a few years ago, he doesn't have a long history with the local Quincy population.
- A human friend who is only beginning to become spiritually aware, for whom Arthur can act as a guide/mentor/guardian figure.
- Friendly rivals / training buddies.
ENEMIES
Well, he's a Quincy, so Shinigami in general aren't going to score many points with him. Maybe he would begrudgingly cooperate with one if it was a really, REALLY dire situation, but most relationships with Shinigami are going to be antagonistic. Also, as someone who highly prides himself as a Human / Quincy, those who hold a low opinion of humanity's potential or support the subordination of humans to the authority of the Shinigami or other spiritual powers.
A few things I'd particularly like:
- An antagonistic pure-blooded Quincy to act as a rival figure who looks down on Arthur's mixed heritage.
- A Shinigami foil character, who can end up in some of the same plots/battles... Kind of a situation where they cross paths and have similar goals, but dislike cooperating.
- Any old character of whatever race with a strong desire to kill him.. Having a hated enemy is fun ^.^
ROMANCE
Romantic relationships aren't really on Arthur's radar at the moment, but let's face it -- he's a 20 year-old guy, and stern-faced Quincy or not, he does like girls. That said, barring some exceptional plot twisting, he would only ever have a serious romantic interest in a Human, be they ordinary, Fullbringer, or Quincy. That kind of relationship with a non-human would be unthinkable for his mindset.
