Desolation. Isolation. The coldness that tickled at her shivering flesh made her remember the horrid times of winter, the darkness that loomed with a single sphere enabling her crimson hues to picture her pale world, didn’t ease the questionable feelings she was forced to reflect on. Casting aside a severed limb, the detached forearm of someone she had to discard, a small group sent to take her back and with her refusal, she had to commit to their disposal, but for some reason, that didn’t faze her, as she found herself killing them with ease of heart and mind; the one that healed her being the easiest to discard. In truth, their deaths eased her to some degree. How weird. She was not quite sure to how or to why she was able to manage that far, but considering the live bait she used, it was a possible opening for her safety. Nonetheless, departing the oppressive forest, graced beneath the luminous sphere within the atramentous sky, she walked the pale plain, the white desert within what seemed to be night.
As a lone mind left to wander, the endless desert offered her two things, the lack of cover and with that, allowed her to be more aware of what lingered around. She’d rather be in the vast open, then hindered by the fact she couldn’t see what lingered in the darkness of the forest… Possibly, at least know what was killing her before it did. Ah, she didn’t care so far on that regard. It was more the circling questions within her own mind.
Step by step, feet by feet and finally to a mile. She stopped. She simply stopped upon a sandy white hill that allowed a slightly significant view into whatever was beyond what she could see, and it was nothing but desert. That was fine. Moving to sit upon this hilltop of sand, she sat down with her arms moving around her legs to curl into a ball as her sword, Suiren, the needle like blade, was stabbed into the ground in front of her and as such, she used the reflective surface to peer beyond her, much like a mirror. Lowering her book bag to her side, she pulled a jacket from her bag and simply used it as a cover to keep herself warm for the moment, it was a simple black jacket with white lines running as some type of design, possibly something from a school sport. Had it been a good idea to rest here? No, but resting here was more ideal than resting in a lower ground and at worst, she could slide down the hill. Which was an idea.
Escaping her mouth, the gentlest and yet, deepest breath allowed her to ease something inside and for once, it actually felt like she was breathing, like she had her own life… And that made it all the more harder and heavier. “What am I going to do?” She almost felt the cold nails of desolation sink themselves, “It cannot be helped forever.” Her listless voice dared to murmur.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
The dunes were lackluster at best. Hardly a soul dared dwell upon its surface, lest they were strong enough or fool enough to hope they could survive. Hunters, mostly the stronger and more versed of the Hollow, often traversed its winding and waving sandy waves in search of an appealing meal. The old hollow must have crossed and skimmed the desert hundreds of times in his long life, searching for the sustenance to maintain his form, his sense of self. There were times when oddities popped up on occasion. Struggling to survive, yet not even alighted to the true dangers of inhabiting the sands.
Maintaining his form, the illusion of a human girl. The Hollow had discovered long ago that by masquerading as a human and hiding his presence within Hueco Mundo, he could lure in many of the weaker, less intelligent Hollow. Ones desperately seeking to sate their curse-like hunger. Desperately they would approach, in search of an easy meal. Prey such as this served the old Hollow well, in that his need to chase his quarry fell to merely wandering aimlessly while waiting for them to take his bait. One such soul had befallen this trick not long before. The old Hollow's hunger effectively sated for the moment. It would kick in soon but he'd hold off on sating the hunger again. Long had he discovered that his need to feed could be reduced to but a single meal each day. So long as he maintained it, there would be no fear of regression for him.
He'd no real need to maintain his illusion for the time, but a fondness for the familiarity the illusion's appearance brought him could not be avoided. He'd grown so accustomed to the appearance as to opt into maintaining it as much as he possibly could, which by now he could retain effortlessly and indefinitely.
Looking to the horizon, the hollow noticed something small peeking above the otherwise smooth curve of the far hills of sand. It didn't move. Likely a new soul... Those with experience, especially ones of the weaker variety, knew better than to take up positions in such obvious places. Many of the prey he sought were known to hide beneath the sands to avoid proprietorial dangers such as himself. Had he not already obtained his fill for the day he might very well have dashed over and gobbled up the soul before it knew its life had ended. As this was not the case, he merely became curious.
His curiosity grew ever more as he approached, observing a seemingly human form resting atop the sandy dunes. At first wary, then simply more curious. The creature felt hollow yet bore no mask to speak of. Even Arrancar maintained some semblance of their former Hollow identifier. Without a mask this creature could be neither Hollow nor Arrancar.
While rare, such instances were not entirely uncommon. Though weak and often clueless, such humans the old Hollow had seen before would enter Hueco Mundo. Either by choice or by some twist of fate, they would seem to end up here somehow. A weapon lay buried blade first into the sands next to her. Curious. The human even possessed a satchel of sorts...
If she were awake, the old Hollow would approach, quicker than the human could react. His arms both setting to rest upon the blade's hilt. Not to wield it or steal it, but simply to object to its removal from the sands it currently found its blade buried within. Observe her reactions. Gauge her purpose. She felt Hollow, but all physical indications suggested otherwise. The old hollow hadn't yet partaken of human souls and he felt no inclination to begin such a thing now. "What, might I be so bold as to ask, brings a human child such as yourself into this world?" Were the girl awake he'd address her, even if she were not awake, the soothing feminine tones of his illusion drifting out from an illusory mouth. With his mask hidden by the illusion, all indications pointed to he himself being human, save for the unusual lack of human ears and a robust, wolfish tail protruding from his posterior.

It always starts then S T O P S .
Had her attention kept strong? Had her determination kept true? At first glaze at a distance, she seemed aware and attentive as she sat upon her sandy white hill, and yes, it could’ve been foolish to sit within the open at a such a height, however, she’d rather be in the open and on a height than too low without proper vision. Thus, she seemed to be the type with a plan in the worst case, or in any worst case. Nonetheless, this was the appearance for the moment, as with the distance broken, the mirage seemed to shatter like glass.
Curled into a ball with her knees to her chest, her arms rested in wrap of her legs as her fingers merely revealed themselves as they clung to the jacket she used as cover. Canted with a slight, her jaw rested atop of her knees and those crimson hues had fled… She had fell asleep. The gentlest of noises could barely, even at all, be heard escaping her shivering lips. She looked tranquil, outside of the icy temperature nibbling upon her ivory flesh.
Silvery with a glisten beneath the false moon, the starless void of a sky held to this realm all on its own, the sword that the girl had stabbed into the sand as a mirror to reflect that behind her, was touched upon and with such a gentle-faint touch, the solid sword melted. Transforming into a solid to a liquid, the silver ran and dropped like water to the ground, in a puddle and it did not stick at all to the creature. Simultaneous to this, it had seemed like the slightest of breezes had pushed the girl over, causing her to fall in a curled ball on her side and it was the liquid that had dragged itself, transforming into something like a pillow to soften her grace upon the ground without waking her.
Ultimately, the girl was, indeed, asleep in peace and upon an interesting weapon that could range in shape, size and form. To this, it was safe to assume that she did not hear a single word the creature had said to her. It could’ve been impressive to manage her weapon within her subconscious state, but it seemed it couldn’t be used in hostility, and not quite defensive measures. Losing some bit of danger she could pose.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
"Hmm... Did I break it...?" The human girl tilted, then slumped to her side in peaceful dreams. The Hollow observed the sword as it melted into a puddle, shifting to reform into a sort of pillow beneath the girl's head. Watching with curiosity, the hollow took in the facts. "She's actually asleep up here in such a place?" Glancing down the dune, the old hollow observed one who was hungry but extremely hesitant to approach upon noticing the old hollow's presence. "It seems this is somehow fated then. Had I arrived any later young one, I fear your existence would have ceased to be..." Reverting to his wolf-like Hollow form, his eyes flashed towards the wavering Hollow below, halting it in its tracks. Slow as its approach had been to begin with. After some time the Hollow became freed from the old Hollow's gaze, choosing to evacuate the area instead of tangoing with another hollow who was clearly leagues above it in terms of strength. "This is no place for a human child to rest their eyes... What possibly could have compelled you to cross over into this plain..." Turning his gaze back to the human he sighed inwardly. With his day's hunt out of the way, and no other purpose left to him. The Hollow curled his large body around the girl. At the very least he could keep the child warm with his fur until she awoke. Questions could wait until she was properly rested.
Range: 0-100 Description: In fights garnering more than one opponent, Nadezhda has found it far easier to deal with enemies by completely restricting the actions of those extra targets, enabling him to deal with threats in turn rather than all at once. Nadezhda's eyes flash with a brilliant purple glow as he focuses his Reiatsu into a target opponent at Cero speed. The opponent becomes Stunned for up to 5 rounds based on rank and advantages. Tier strength of the bind is based on how close the target was upon activation of this ability, maintaining Tier IV up to a distance of 30 meters and diminishing by I every 10 meters thereafter to a minimum strength of Tier I.
Suffocating on the cold, the pure and simple memory of the blizzard painted her mind, the crimson that trickled from the icy bodies and rusty iron walls were nothing more than a gentle reminder of her childhood. Isolation within a crafted cage held to pitch nothingness with the eerie darkness singing a gentle lullaby of madness that she long since forgot. Without the slightest stir from the girl, the creature reverting back into its beastly appearance had not issue curling around the sleeping female. Offering another source of warmth, the soft fur tickled at her flesh and despite that, she didn’t seem to notice or move to curl in direction to it, almost rejecting it or simply too cold to move. With a bit more time, being surrounded by the massive creature, she shifted just slight as some point to warm of the creature and accepted needing warmth, to this point, she moved not anymore and slept. Despite how dark her dreams turned to turn, even with the reply of the last few hours and her grim childhood.
Seconds to minutes, minutes into hours and for the passage of less than two or three hours, she stirred once again, the light breaking just slightly over the distance with the disappearing moon. Within the passage of time, the interesting weapon held like a pillow, rendered back into a simple chopstick, pink and with a small bud of a lily; it was handcrafted and quite pretty. Tickling her face, the tender ray of light signaled a reminder to her and for a moment, and only for a moment, she recalled how horrible her situation was. On few moments, she did shiver and sweat a little, but that was not due to the cold.
“What?” Her gentle vocals dared to try and utter a word in listlessness, which was not easily heard as that word was more so mouthed than said. Uncurling with a straight shot upward, her body sat up as her moved to crawl in another direction with a sense of on guard or confusion. However, her back simply pressed into the side of the beast that curled around her in a protective manner. When? She questioned, when did she fall asleep and why wasn’t she dead? Tilting her head upward to the creature’s torso side that her back leaned into, those gentle waking pink hues revealed the perplexity that tainted her face. It was no fear more than confusion, or simply not understanding.
“...” She didn’t say anything else, she simply stared. She had already assumed two things, protecting and interest or simply, it wanted a conversation before eating her. With the light, it was easy to tell she had seem some for of combat or some form of a welcome with the slight bruising to her arms and legs, a little tearing on the clothes. It didn’t show on her face, but there was a quite a bit of pain within her body too. Though, thankfully… a sweet business partner repaired most of the damage. “...” She didn’t seem very talkative. Was the girl a mute? Maybe.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
He felt the human's movements before she woke, choosing not to lift his head suddenly for fear of startling the young girl into choosing unnecessarily aggressive actions. When the human child made no distinctive move intent on seeking harm to the old Hollow, he raised his head to where she lay upon his form. "You are awake I see. I daresay you chose a peculiar location to rest yourself young one." Though he held back his voice as much as feasibly possible, The Hollow's deep rumbling tones shook the air around them. He spoke, yet his maw merely opened and remained still so long as he spoke. His words formed yet the only movement from his jaws were the wisps of bright blue and purple hues as if a ghostly entity were slowly escaping its confinement. The hollow's eyes shared in these bizarre colors, swirling in sockets that seemed to have no end to their depth. The mask upon the Hollow's face, covered less of his face than most, though it still extended from his nose and up the full length of his forehead. The mask itself, peculiar and ancient looking, engraved with symbols of a long lost origin.
"Tell me child, what brings you here. Surely it needen't be a suicidal endeavor." The hollow asked not for praise or thanks in safeguarding the child's existence. Such was not his interest. Expectations of that sort were reserved for his master, one who was now lost to herself. Instead he inquired as to the girl's purpose. Though they were long vacated, many a lesser Hollow had passed since he'd enveloped the girl. The beasts had seen not the child for the old Hollow hid her presence in among his own, far more vastly permeated one. Among the rarities, even Adjuchas Hollows were not typically ones most others would wish to disturb, for fear of prematurely ending their own existences.
Mm. That would’ve been oppressing to her, but compared to her formal situation and the redline she danced, she did not feel herself consumed in fright or fear. Had it been anything, it was just a bit of a shake to her core to wake up to such a beast curled around her and almost seeming… To be safeguarding. Granted, she did have quite the choice in location to collect her snooze with a mixture of restoration from exhaustion. Her fatigue lingered a slight with the paleness to her flesh, a gentle shade below her eyes and granted, she did not sleep to long, but long enough to easily been dead if it wasn’t for the aid of an outside interference, such as this creature.
Fading from her face, the perplexity that once painted her such a slight piece confused, transformed into a lethargic, in every inch of the word, expression with those soft pink hues warming up into a deeper tone. Such tones from pink to almost a shade of red and without a doubt, a sign for how aware she was. Nonetheless, as the creature spoke to her with some consideration and curiousness, she did not shake or stir in any sense of fear. Either she was adjusted or had been a bit too scarred to be bothered at this point, or maybe, the creature wasn’t a threat to her. Its appearance was something, an example being its abyssal twilight hues and mask.
Narrowing her hues for a moment, her head lowered to look on level with the sand and the encased space she had, as the creature seemed to keep her in a tight circle, with enough room to wiggle and move, of course. Naturally, she would have replied on the spot, but as of lately and with some realization… Her words… Her ability to communicate was quite shit, in all truth and every inch of it. So, she was debating on what to say without seeming so… Heartless? To the creature, she must’ve been a mute at this point. Well.. How was she supposed to talk to much a creature? She didn’t have much luck with most people when she thought about it and there wasn’t quite any laws or rules out here in the sandy hell she was in. For once, she wasn’t trying to be difficult, but everything that left her mouth wasn’t quite what she thought in mind…
With a second or five, her right arm extended to the place her head once found rest, where the chopstick laid and in truth, her weapon that was currently dormant as well. Her movements weren’t quite slow, but weren’t rushed and were just a bit sluggish due to waking up, nothing threatening and that was easily seen. With her chopstick in hand, she took it like a stick in hand and poked it into the sand before her, writing a word. “Kidnapped.” the single word said, to the side, she wrote more. “Two days. Three, maybe.” She added, the days she had been here. She didn’t want to explain how she managed to keep herself feed, she really, didn’t want to go there.
“Thank you.” After writing these words, she moved to grab her jacket and folded it with a good shake out, grabbing her back and placing it in there nice and neat, there was quite a few interesting things in her bag too, those didn’t matter much in the sand though. Once done with that, she took her hands to her hair and shook out the sand.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
Whether it were natural or not, The fact this being didn't seem overly disturbed by the old Hollow's appearance, presence, nor voice told him mountains more than any single phrase or sentence ever could. She'd either been witness to greater disturbances than himself, or the child simply had more experience with this world than he'd originally figured. Even with the tones of his voice the girl didn't cower in fear, much like other mortals he addressed in his past. Such were the fated to fall before those stronger than themselves. In times where he sought camaraderie, his voice and even appearance often caused lesser races to cower or flee in fear.
The girl spoke not, but chose instead to make use of the tool she seemed to carry with her. In times like this the old Hollow could be glad he'd spent a portion of his time studying the etchings of the humans and what they meant when compared to their verbal counterparts. Allowing her additional room to scar out what it was she wrote within the sands, the Hollow observed, reading when she finished.
He saw and read with disdain, the first word she spelled out. No surprises there. Many a Hollow would abduct humans for their own nefarious purposes. Either consuming the helpless creatures once their purpose was served, or releasing them to the sands to suffer. Most would be fated to die, lost, alone, hungry, and frightened. Left to the only fate the desert sands could offer. A life renewed as mindless beasts. Though new hollows formed within the deserts often shared little of the benefits. Life was sparse, far more dangerous for the unpracticed who would quickly fall prey to the more experienced predators of this desolate wasteland. He recalled his own time in the past. Fortunate enough to have maintained dominance over a large amalgamation of souls. A previous life of predatory instinct served him well in ruling over those unfortunate enough to become a part of his current existence.
"You need not shower gratitude upon me child. Were I as I was before, no better fate would have sealed you than any of the countless others who aimlessly wander this land. They are my sustenance. Just as they now see you in the potential to be their own." The old hollow's head shifted, observing another unwise Hollow yet to approach. Though it halted abruptly in its steps with the old Hollow's gaze upon it. Placing his legs beneath him, the Hollow stood. At first glance, one might see him as something akin to a large black wolf. Standing eight feet tall at the shoulder, with a body length far larger still. "Fear not young one. While I do exist within this plain. Even now, old as I may be, I've no stomach for creatures such as yourself whom resemble my former master as you do..." He assured the girl. Though his appearance would do little to benefit his words.
The old Hollow watched as the girl shed herself of the sands that lay upon her person. "Tell me child. What be thy name if I be so bold as to ask." Understanding one's origins possibly being one of the best things he could do to shed any concerns the girl might retain as to his countenance towards her existence.

It always starts then S T O P S .
Skepticism had always been an element to her existence, much like hesitation and reluctance, it had nothing to do with being race as a hollow to this point in her life. At least one could be true to their nature. As the creature held to a form of a massive wolf spoke reason and even attempted to reassure her of its intentions, she was not quite in the position to show such skepticism, however, she was quite hesitate in nature and that much was easily seen… However, it was not fear. So, what could it be? Who could tell at this point.
Compared to this hollow, this massive beast in the frame of a canine and its features being more as a dire wolf, she was quite small, quite tiny and insignificant… And that annoyed her somewhat. To be so weak, allowing herself to be this pitiful and pathetic rubbed her soul the wrong way. All to which, these feelings, she buried deep within her frame.
Reflecting on her past choices and what they led to, her strawberry hues directed themselves to her hands that flipped, revealing her palms with her chopstick in her left hand. Lissa had a point… That.. Man.. The baker had a point too. She refused to be a sheep any longer, but she also refused to let people, anything and everything in, even if it was a benefit to her… So.. Was it possible to… No. The greatest things often happened when she slipped, when she couldn't control herself. But. Shifting her hues from her palms to the hollow in the distance, a hollow that seemed quite stunned in place as if fearing for its life. She counted her options.
Planting her feet into the pale sand, she stood up with her hands dropping to her sides as her head turned and canted, looking up to the creature that asked for her name.. Or just something to call her. As to normal, there was some hesitation in her answering, but instead of using the sand. “Sae.” She said with an apathy to her gentle vocals. Despite the lack of emotions within her tone, her voice was rather soft and as those words escaped her mouth, she simply knelt back down to write. “For now.” she wrote. One side of her was fishing for a reaction to how she spoke, while the other side of her was trying to make sure she didn’t break a possible friendship or bond. “You?”
One thought could be using the creature to advance herself, but she was never so heartless to do that… The other side didn’t want to be alone… Combining those together. She just… She perished the thought for the moment. The last thing she needed was attachments, especially being like this. It’ll be best to go with whatever flow she was offered by life at this point, but to her own volition… She needed to learn that. “There was a forest, how far am I?” Upon writing those words, she moved to stand back up and pointed in the direction that she remembered she came from. She couldn’t even see the forest from here, but she must’ve walked miles.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
The old hollow observed the girl's actions, watched her considering inwardly. Then heard the solitary word she spoke to him in response to his inquiry. "Sae is it. Quite a unique name." Longer names, ones containing more than but a single syllable were normal. Though on occasion he came across those with short, simple names like hers. "Very well. I shall remember this name of yours Sae." Turning himself to address the girl, the Hollow dipped his head slightly in respect to her granting him a name to speak. Even if it were not a complete name, it remained as one she'd offered up for him to use and call her by.
Staring at her, the hollow drew a blank. She'd requested to hear his name. Though he'd been verbally assigned names in passing... he rather decided to be truthful with the human girl. "I fear I've long forgotten the name my master once called me by. Though I've received many names in passing, none ring true enough to recite as my own..." Turning his eyes to the Hollow below, the old Hollow watched as the other regained its ability to move. Looking to him once more before darting off and away into the distance. "I've no name that I know of young one. Should you determine one to be suitable, I will permit you pardon to call me by it henceforth."
He observed once more as the child drew yet more words within the sand. "I know not how far you've come, but the forest which you seek lies half a day's travel in that direction." Motioning, the girl would find her sense of direction within the sands had somehow been switched for the way the old Hollow pointed his head indicated a nearly hundred degree turn of correction to her own. "This will hold true if you travel as you are now." He noted, subtly indicating her stature by comparison to his own. "If it be the forests you seek to return to then perhaps I may be of assistance. While I will not question your reason for choosing not return to the human world, I may obtain my own sustenance upon entering this forest." The old Hollow watched the girl. Should she indicate an interest to return to the forest, he could offer her a faster rout sitting upon his back. Suitably matching their destination, perhaps for different reasons. "Should you desire it, we may return to the forest. Though should you not be familiar, I would suggest in hiding your presence to its best, lest you threaten to disturb the Menos which reside within the forest. I'm afraid they are to be truly unruly bodies one cannot hope to reason with."

It always starts then S T O P S .
“Mm.” Sharp with her exhaling breath that escaped her nose, there was a gentle titter or a giggle locked within her throat, she could’ve smile just a bit to, however she controlled herself not to. It could’ve been written as ‘say’, but the correct would’ve been ‘sae’, as it lost the ‘e’ would combined with ‘yuri’. Creative language courses were fun to her, she enjoyed them and… Her thoughts began to become bitter again. The dark cloud with its icy reach flicked the gentle thoughts she wanted to use as comfort. It was funny, she didn’t know what she liked until it was always gone and left with regret for one thing or another. “Sayuri. I prefer Sae.” She wrote. Deciding to be more honest, a little more open and a little more friendly. The creature didn’t react to bad and seemed to be humoring her at this point. To which made her a little more comfortable.
Truly, she had become reluctant and skeptical of the wrong things… Humans were the worst sometimes. Ah. Where was her brain going now? Tilting her head upward to the creature with a bit of perplexity returning to her facial features, those soft hues narrowed themselves up to the creature with a little thought to her mind. He didn’t have a name? He didn’t remember his name? She assumed that hollows found their identity with their awareness and sense of self… The wolf had more sense of self than she did, but she had a name. It was quite insulting to some degree… She almost felt like she was about to name a pet.
Closing her hues for a moment, she exhaled with a gentleness and with her sigh, she opened her hues to look at the degree. What could she name a creature such as this? Where it spoke to explain the distance, she must have truly booked quite the distance from that forest. With the flee of the perplexity on her face, those hues kept themselves directed to the forest direction. It was true, at this moment, in her mind and as herself, she had no desire to go back to the human world, not after what they’ve done or what she had done. However, the creature didn’t seem to want to question her reasons, which was nice and a bit weird.
“I know” She wrote, once again, “Cannibalize themselves and are colossal.” she added. Oh yes, she saw quite a few of them and despite their beast-like nature, they held no interest in her for some reason and not like it matter, she had fled as quickly as she saw them. As she spoke about them, she didn’t seem fazed on their existence, but something completely different. It had been safe to stay within the forest with the Menos, however, it wasn’t just the Menos in that forest. In truth, she didn’t want to go back, but when the creature spoke about something on food… There was possibly a corpse left that she could eat and she could also help the wolf find a soul to eat.. Considering it helped her.
Grabbing her bag by the strip, she pulled it on her shoulder and turned her gaze back to the creature. “Na-dyezh-duh.” She said slowly with pronunciation, without her Russian accent. “Nadežda.” She said, including her Russian accent, which made her sound quite harsh in tone, all the while, somehow, being soft in voice too. Taking her foot, she began to write it to help too. “Nadezhda”. It no mean was she being rude as if he couldn’t understand, but it was a tricky name, due to her language. And she didn’t put consideration into the name too.
It was ‘Hope’. With her bag on arm and her hues directed towards the creature, she had a cant to her head with expectation, she didn’t seem to mind going back to the forest, but in truth. It was something completely different and now that she was calm, rested and a bit more.. Collected? She could reflect on what she did.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
"Nn..." The Hollow hummed at the girl's correction for her name. He fancied her honesty, revealing the full length of her name to him. "Then if it please you, I shall continue to address you as Sae." Though his voice echoed and rumbled, within it there hung an air of appreciation for the human child. She seemed capable of speech but perhaps she, like him, required some form of nutrient in order to regain her body's full functionality. It'd been some time since he'd concerned himself with the livelihood of any human before, sparing himself the time to observe, rather than interact. Admittedly, this could be counted as one of his few encounters with their kind inside the realm of Hueco Mundo itself. Thinking on this encounter, and back on the one he'd recently had at Las Noches with yet another human girl, it would seem the best method for neutral interaction with the humans was indeed to avoid gaining attentions through the use of hostilities.
He chuckled, a deep rolling essence pouring from his being. "Indeed. Though for them it is but the beginning or perhaps even the end. I myself was once a part of that chain, though I've long since conquered, and through the efforts, gained my own individuality. All Hollows are inherently cannibals by the sheer drive of our nature. Such is our curse." Glancing down at the girl, the Hollow's voice held hints of sadness to it with the last part of his statement. More than a millennia passed and yet he still hadn't obtained a level satisfactory to permanently sating his own hungers...
Watching the girl, the Hollow observed once more, her writings. Nadežda, spelled out in the language she knew best. "Ohoh...! This I find quite suitable." He stated, noting she deemed this to be the name by which she desired to call him. He stated it out loud, to himself, to her. "It is a worthy name, from a worthy source. I thank you child. I shall remember and use this name you've bestowed upon me well." The old Hollow, Nadezhda, thanked the girl. He'd gone long without a true name for lack of remembrance. While it might not have been the first name granted to him in his history, it was by far a name which sought to signify his existence with a meaning.
Nadezhda lowered himself to Sae's level. "The forests are quite some distance. While I may have been a short distance hunter in my life, this form you see before you is rather tireless. Come Sae. Ride upon my back and we shall make haste towards our destination." He offered his back to ride on, partly to keep her safe from the harms of the desert, partly to preserve her rested state, but mostly to offer the human girl a gesture of trust in his presence before her.
Yes, it was like adopting a puppy that had the abilities to converse and intellectually interact with the world, with vast powers of being a threat too. It was a little cute to her, just cute enough to where she smiled inwardly to her situation and seemed horridly grim.. Which was how she always felt until she truly was placed in it. With a list of regrets to match this feeling, there was a few things she wanted to go back on and felt the need to change, to adjust them. So for now, she’ll enjoy things as they come with the inch of sugar and salt, while she tried to find something.. Was it something? It was scary when she thought about it, but she didn’t know what to do or where to begin. So, she agreed with herself to start with the fragments and find what called her in this desert, it didn’t hurt to look beyond her own world for an answer. If hollows can do it, couldn’t she?
Apart from the slight sorrow within the creature’s words, the abyssal gleam within its mouth and hues beamed with a bit of excitement to her suggestion in name. Well, it wasn’t really a suggestion, it was a strong believe that the name would match and stick, which to her own little glee… It did. Hm. Socializing wasn’t that difficult… If she just opened a little and tried, but who opens to a hollow? Her. She could feel the isolation and possibly lonesome heart the creature had, and at first, she wasn’t sure, but now she could feel something on that line. Even if not, who was she to deny any form of help right now? Everything was so far out of her hands, beyond her hands and even her power.
Internally, she shook the clouding thoughts from her mind. With a gentle nod of her head to the suggestion from the now, named and tilted Nadežda, a massive wolf held to ebony, she stared for a moment with it lowering itself for her to mount him… She actually hadn’t learned to really ride a horse, let alone a hollow, but if she could ride a bike.. Then maybe..? With as much gentleness as possible, she moved over to Nadežda and hopped right onto his back, more so towards the shoulders. As soon as she got on, it felt like a fluffy cushion of sorts with a solid frame, of course, but it was comfortable compared to what she thought. ‘Spite of the comfort, her body throbbed with the blossoming pain within her frame, a pain that she simply choked on quietly.
“...” Should she admit the condition of her body? It shouldn’t hindered her too much… fractures or not. “The smaller creatures were why I fled.” She said.

"Ah yes. The smaller sorts can indeed be quite frightful." Nadežda worded understanding. Carefully observing the disturbances within the young girl's movements as she climbed up onto his broad back. "Smaller, faster, often times smarter than the Menos themselves..." Once the girl was properly situated, Nadežda carefully rose to his feet once more. Taking a couple paces over the dune, the Hollow descended. "I shall start slowly. Gather yourself and do hold on tightly now, lest you fall off." The old hollow courteously noted, subtly hinting his knowledge of her injuries. Though he could not be certain what exactly those injuries entailed, her movements had given him enough hint to keep things well paced and build up to a steady rate that she could contend with.
Nadežda kept to a steady pace, speeding up as the girl situated herself and became comfortable. Though he did not run full tilt in consideration for the girl's physical condition, his speed for now would easily be comparable to three times that of a normal human's run. Fast enough to feel the cold desert winds and chill one's soul with enough exposure, though the girl would find riding low, keeping close to the fur upon Nadežda's back, would stave off much of the stinging cold which passed them by as they traveled.
Two, maybe three hours passed before the distinct line of the Menos Forests crossed over the horizon before them. "I've not been here for quite some time. Perhaps thrice your lifetimes." Nadežda commented to the girl on his back. It'd been nearly fifty years since he'd last visited this forest. Though the forests provided much in the way of sustenance, their population stifled upon their weakened states. Masses of misaligned creatures lurking in dark shadows. One would find no rest within this place without significant knowledge of the forests themselves. Competition drew upon hiding, traveling. Never staying in the same place for more than a little while. Long time hunters, former prey, knew well the hiding places of this dark and dreary forest. To maintain one's safety required constant relocation to avoid would be predators. Even more so to avoid the Menos, commonly lurking, always present but constantly shrouded by the forest itself.
Nadežda stopped, not more than three hundred meters from the forest's edge. "We are here young Sae. I do believe it best for you to disembark. My responses are far superior whilst I remain unhindered by passengers." He commented, suggesting she dismount. Should they be assailed Nadežda did not feel a need to further injure his passenger by throwing her.

It was quite awkward. She had no experience when riding an animal, she didn’t know where to grab or how to sit, and when she thought about it, it was nowhere near like riding a bike. This was a living creature that could quite literally kick her off, the creature was not what she was afraid of, it was misplacing a hand or hurting him… Was it a him..? Did hollows have a gender? Nadežda had been a neutral name, thus that wouldn’t be an issue for later. With much thought and consideration, the girl decided to coil her around the creature’s neck area with her torso resting upon the back of the creature and with a gentle hug combined with a firm grip to its fur. Much sureness was placed into not pulling upon it or tugging it.
Echoing from her arm into her torso, the excruciating ache sung volumes and she chose not to bat an eye to it, simply using her muscle and body as if it was not hindered in the slightest. Something she was well versed in, however, Nadežda seemed to place much consideration into this as well, as it seemed to case its pace. Within the passage of a few minutes, Sayuri had drifted a bit into a light sleep or a gentle nap to rest her overly exhausted and slow to hunger body. It was quite humorous in some degree, she wasn’t trying to eat Nadežda… Maybe.. It was unappealing to her. In truth, all hollows have been unappealing when she thought about it. She almost wondered why…
Awakening to the Nadežda speaking, her head rose a slight from the creature as her hues narrowed to the horizon and a slight angst or affliction danced within her frame, such did not paint her face. “Three hundred years ago..?” she questioned with a softness, a listless that was not too strong, “Those like towers have no interest in the small. Those on the same size will strike in opportune moments, even random or unthought moments.” She murmured those words, almost recalling how she had to deal with them or what she witnessed when trying to exit the forest. Despite how weak Sayuri had seemed, she managed to exist still for some reason and without food was a question that couldn’t be asked with all the other questions on the table. It was all uneven math.
Upon stopping, she listened to Nadežda recommendation and slid from its side, her feet planting gently into the sand and those gentle red hues stared to the forest. It was easily seen that it was no the forest that scared her and not even the cast creatures, but one thing she didn’t feel the need to share. With a slight counter to the dreary thoughts, it was almost cute being called a child or young, which was something she didn’t seem to mind or let bother her. As the creature was dealing with her more than she to it. “Are you able to smell the scent from here?” She questioned with the cant of her head to Nadežda. The scent was something simple, it was human and in mass, was three, there wasn’t quite decay considering how this realm was. It was within the depth of the forest were the creatures lingered.
“The hide of these creatures are not easily damaged, but I have managed to hurt one.” She said, almost saying that one would become problematic in possibility for her hurting it. “Nonetheless. That is not to why I am here.” She began to walk towards the forest with the pink chopstick in hand.

"Mmm... Perhaps I worded it incorrectly. It would be more like fifty years in your time. Or are you perchance a longer lived human? A hundred years of time seems quite long for one of your appearance..." A slight hint of curiosity rung within Nadežda's voice. By lifetimes he'd intended the statement as three lengths of her current age, but if she were indeed one hundred years old then he would be quite impressed at her ability to maintain such a young appearance. "Even so, best not to disturb them. Even those that tower over the rest can be aggravated into pursuit if one is not careful. I should know, I once chanced a Menos. I would say it was not exactly my most intelligent moment in time..." A glint of gloom threaded through the old hollow's being. Remembering the encounter, though it happened long ago, reminded Nadežda of that some interactions simply were not ones to pursue...
"You speak as if a wolf has never smelled out its prey." Nadežda chuckled. His tone felt neither harsh nor insulted, but rather it contained a hint of humor upon it's rumblings. In truth, Nadežda smelled much coming from the forests. Smells were nearly overwhelming here. Hollows of all sorts stayed, remained hidden within this darkened portion of Hueco Mundo. "Indeed. If what I believe you to smell is that." Nadežda looked to Sayuri, noting the tool she carried. Upon it's blade, and from the forest, a lingering odor. A creature injured, perhaps now dead.
"Such a creature would do well to hide within this place. Smell alone is oft not an effective method for finding one's prey once lost." The hollow, seeing the girl moving forward, made to follow at her side. "If sustenance is not what young Sae seeks then what, might I inquire, would be your desire in coming here?" The forest was an easy place to obtain food. But it was an equally dangerous place to live in continuously. Nadežda's absence from the forest had been out of a desire for stronger prey, to improve his existence and go beyond the limits of an unclassified hollow. The place hardly seemed fitting for a human girl like Sae.

It always starts then S T O P S .
“...” Her thought paused, along with any assumption, for a moment. Nadežda must’ve not meant the longevity of a human, but the current age that was her and doing its math off that. Shifting to a grim thought, if she had been asked how long she desired to life, she would’ve revealed her expectation to dead as quick as possible and as soon as possible… She hadn’t ever, nor dared, to look at her own future, because she never had one in mind. Wasn’t that a scary thought? There was quite a few scary thoughts she had, there was so much she didn’t think of or see through with a habit of keeping to a puppet, a shell of a human being. Her thoughts were no longer on topic and it was easily painted on her face that she had no idea what to say for a moment. Even with the topic of hollows coming back up, there was a small knot in her chest developing… Was she scared?
Lowering her hues to the sand with each step, the once gentle steps seemed so heavy and it was all in her mind, and there was a boil in her blood… Was that a boil? It annoyed her, she annoyed her and the lack of answers to who or what she was and could be… Was driving her insane. It scared her, but it equally added to her madness and for a moment, she felt herself suffocating on these realizations. She was always choking, for the years since the death of her brother, but she never realized the barrier she sat in was slowly having its oxygen drained. It was with a slight realization, that she didn’t want to go back to the human world, with two reasons, if she was strong enough to become her own person, she was indeed worth the space and if she was worth the space.. She could go ba—Oh.
“Oh.” She snapped back into her reality. Tilted a slight, her hues lifted themselves and redirected themselves to Nadežda. “It is for sustenance.” She admitted, did that mean she could devour hollows, “I have not consumed a form nourishment for ten hours.” She stated with quite the awareness in the fact, even keeping track of the time. “I do well to bury my appetite, but if I do not find something to eat, I…” She started to open a little a bit, the listlessness within her voice became a bit softer with a hint of consideration and concern, however, she cut herself off, ceasing her words. Oh yes, she knew and understood the hunger of the hollow way, that was something she knew.
“There is two human corpses and a half.” She started anew, her listless voice coming in true, “I hid them within the sand with a wrap too.” Ah, yes. She had no issue cannibalizing those of her own race and sadly, it had become a common practice at one point to her, and she didn’t want to reveal her desperation, but she was quite desperate. She preferred not cannibalizing anything, as it was quite unhealthy, but what must be done, had to be done. She didn’t feel the need to explain why she didn’t bring any with her, but she brung enough to escape the first time, and she didn’t expect to come back, but she felt the need to collect something too.
“There is something else, but I do not think it is wise to seek it out.” She turned her head back to the forest, to which, they were only a few feet from entering within the darkness. “However, I…” She found struggle once again to express her feelings. “Thought to help with finding you food.” She whispered that bit, as low as possible.
“Even if I am weaker. Is it not best to stay within a pack?” She questioned.
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
"I see... You do quite well indeed for a human then young Sae. I have observed in time. It appears Humans often consume nutrients throughout the day's passing. Oft have I observed, and I conclude that most of your kind seem to take in food at least three times in a single day." Nadežda spoke in regards to his visits to the Human world. Time spent watching humans. Often times watching a single human through an entire day's light. Besides their regular activities he'd noticed humans of this age tended to eat unusually often, possibly due to the incredible abundance of nutrients readily available to them.
Humans cannibalizing humans... Nadežda thought back upon his master from when he still retained life. Had the ones seeking to harm his master intended to cannibalize her? He didn't know. He hadn't let them get that far were it their intent... "It is as fated...Were there sustenance abound, Hueco Mundo might not have to be such a perilous place to live." The old hollow lowered his tones, saddened at the girl's need to cannibalize though she still remained human. Her desperation was not lost on Nadežda... Hueco Mundo was no place for a Human to live. Food. Whatever could be obtained within this place required one to hunt, endlessly. A sinister and cruel way to exist throughout one's time in this world.
"Should there be something Sae wishes to retrieve, I hold no qualms with aiding in it's recovery." Nadežda made statement. An offer to help the girl should she wish his aid in doing so. Upon the girl offering to help in his own search for food, Nadežda's gaze fell upon her in curiosity. "I see not any reason to endanger yourself for my sake young Sae." Aversion to her assistance. Nadežda knew well the limits placed upon human strengths... The old hollow thought better of his words to be upon recalling the earlier young girl he'd encountered. "Though perhaps I underestimate your strength more than I aught. You may do as you will. If your wish is to aid then I shall allow it. Though I caution care should you choose this path. Not all prey is weak, and not all who are weak are without cunning."
"Yes indeed it is, to remain together can improve one's chances in a dangerous situation. It can aid doubly for those who hunt together in cornering and outmaneuvering their prey. Come, let us first find the quarry you seek, then we shall see to mine own needs." Nadežda's voice carried with it an air of happiness. In some ways Nadežda's gestures seemed almost... tamed, yet the old hollow had been without master for more than a millennia.
Amused only slightly, she fell silent with a mixture of bitterness and sweetness. She could’ve swore, casting curses under her breathe to the humans that actually had delightful food to consume, but she’ll have to openly complain about it, and in truth, she had walked this road before. This was nothing quite new to her, however, her appetite had turned into something quite different with passage of a few days. Naturally, within this state of desperation, she would’ve did everything in her power to consume Nadežda… Even if she wasn’t within it, she would’ve still tried to consume the wolf, her instinctive would’ve easily got the better of her. Painting her face for a moment, she seemed perplexed to her own situation, the last week had been something truly different to her, it seemed when changed became forth, it chose to shake and destroy quite a few things… It was always like this.
Without much thought, she lifted her hand with her arm extending to Nadežda and with her palm, she gladly pat the top of its hand, even applying a gentle rub to its ear too. “Hueco Mundo?” She questioned the name, with a slight shake of her head, “Hueco Mundo isn’t too perilous to me.” She stated with quite a boldness in statement. Hollows. Monsters. All those lovely things. Yes, she had been placed in quite a few near death experiences, with one being almost an actual death, but she didn’t think of it too much outside of how the way of life is.
“It is a bit humorous to me.” She did sound a little tickled within her listless tone, choking on bitterness almost too, “I had the chance to leave, but my first reaction to those sent to recuse me.. Was to kill them as quickly as possible.” She admitted, but there was a lot more to it. With the hand that petted the wolf, it found itself being placed upon her forehead with some pressure. “Everything for me was so simple for me when medication was my influence, when my life was watched and controlled, but at some point..” She shook her head, ceasing her words.
“Do not worry, I don’t have intentions or reason to hurt you.” She tried to ease over the fact she just admitted to killing her ‘allies’. “Just, my relationships with them.. Are really complicated.”
It is my life, as the sand, that T R I C K L E S out.
The old hollow remained silent, rather than attempting to correct Sae's misjudgement. Indeed if one were to keep themselves from careless or dangerous actions, Hueco Mundo could very well be a rather livable place. But in the hours he'd found her asleep, Nadežda counted nearly a dozen Hollows fended off. Perhaps his presence around the girl had drawn them in, perhaps not. There could be no way to identify such notions with certainty lest he removed himself from the scene and observed. But had he done such a thing and hunters did in fact show to feast upon the girl, the old hollow would not have gained this opportunity to interact with the girl.
The tones of Nadežda's eyes darkened at Sae's words. "I find little humor within a need to kill one's own, though I believe I can understand it to some extent... I do not fancy to claim I know of your circumstances, but what I know is of my master in her former life. She once cherished others of her kind but in time her trust and faith in them was betrayed. They sought to harm my master and through me, we managed to escape her oppression together. For a time we lived in peace, day to day without worry. Those days of peaceful existence ended when her people destroyed what remained of her faith in them..." Nadežda winced, recalling the events leading up to his master's death. "What fate befell my master... I would not ask such a thing upon any enemy of mine. But if it can be testament to anything, it is that each of us, Humans, Shinigami, Hollows, we all harbor the capacity for great evil. Just as we all carry the same potential to do good within the worlds."
Nadežda embraced Sae's touch, allowing the human girl freedom to pet as she pleased. Whether it be to sooth him, or to quell some of the darker thoughts from Sae's own mind, he did not know. Strangely though, this moment reminded him much of the master he'd lost. Always thoughtful, constantly wondering what worth her own existence held. Petting and holding him for the warm comforts of his fur.
"It seems our quarry comes to greet us." Nadežda spoke, disturbing Sae's touch to look up and upon the forest. Though he couldn't see the Hollow in question, he could sense it. This one, unlike the others, did not appear to fear the old hollow's own presence. "Take care young Sae. I chance that this one is not like the others we've seen thus far." A word of caution spared for the girl. He could protect himself, but the creature might still be aiming for lesser creatures to consume. If so, then Nadežda suspected Sae might actually be this beast's chosen target.
