Mitsuoki had been planning to wait till he came across the human in the world of the living, but then came to the issue that he wouldn't be going back there for an unknown amount of time. He didn't get the luxury of going there regularly since he wasn't with the thirteen court guard squads, so his only option was to use some of his time after his daily duties to seek her out. This meant that he would be going to Las Noches for the first time. Much to his fortune, there were maps of small segments of the massive castle where others had gone that he could use for a point of reference. He didn't really know if his kind was welcome there, and Shiro had told Mitsuoki to not refer to Theoclese by his actual name outside of that place, so he didn't have a reason to think that he would be allowed in by the other arrancar...
A plan had been devised by Mitsuoki to enter and use his 'Shallow Grave' kido to hide his presence, but first, he would need to enter a part of the castle where his intended target frequently moved. He had spent several days narrowing viable locations down as well as devising a means of getting an audience with the human. His plan was simple. He would hide in plain sight and take her somewhere else the moment she came in sight. As for locations that were viable, Mitsuoki had ruled out the destroyed parts of the castle, as well as the places that were in the old castle. He had also ruled out the part that belonged to the privarone espada.
The day of his plan's execution had come and Mitsuoki had made his way into the castle undetected. He was using his Shallow Grave while kneeling down inside it to completely mask his spiritual pressure and scent. The kido also made it so light particles went directly through it, so Mitsuoki was completely invisible to the naked eye. Of course, thermal, infrared, and spirit vision would be its own issue, but that was a trick normally not seen in hollows or arrancar, so he wasn't worried. He did come across a random fraccion that he had to wipe the memories from, but that wasn't too terribly bad. He'd visited all the viable areas before coming to a place that was strong with Shiro's spiritual pressure, and he waited inside his little invisibility box. He would wait as long as he needed and, once Shiro had gotten in the hallway, she would hear the words "Teleport Gatestone, Crater!" loud and clear before the world changed drastically for her.
Shiro would find herself in the middle of a crater that was fifty meters in all directions, one hundred meters in diameter. The walls of the crater rose for thirty meters above her and formed a bowl shape. On the farthest end of the crater would be a meteorite that had clearly taken quite a few hits from an attack, and below her feet, a glowing symbol would be present. Within a few moments, Mitsuoki would appear next to her and say "Hello, Shiro. I apologize for the suddenness, but I have a request I wish to make."
She'd heard the words, right before everything around changed into that of an unfamiliar place. Shiro stood, dumbfounded and confused at the scenery that now lay before her. What was going on here? She'd been returning to her room after getting in some morning practice and now... Now she was here. Wherever here happened to be... Shiro heard the familiar voice before she saw the person behind it. She turned and came face to face with Mitsuoki. "You...!?" How did I get here...?" Seeing him here told her all she needed to know about this place and why she was there. Whatever this place was it appeared to be located in Hueco Mundo... somewhere. "How did you move me like that? I didn't know there were abilities that could forcibly move someone other than yourself... You could have asked me before you did that you know. You scared me for a second there..." Shiro narrowed her eyes at Mitsuoki. Being scared wasn't really the word for it, more like startled. Either way Shiro was glad to see it'd been Mitsuoki's doing and not the act of someone trying to capture her or something.
"A request? What kind of request?" Shiro's eyes became curious, glancing at Mitsuoki before continuing to look around at the strangely man-made looking structure they were standing inside of.
"I suppose before I ask, I should explain a few things..." Mitsuoki admitted, seeing as he just randomly abducted Shiro. "This is a crater I found while looking for a suitable place to train outside the eyes of my peers. I have used kido to place several barriers around it that prevents others from entering through standard means. These barriers also prevent spiritual pressure and scent from escaping, which makes it so any hollows in the area are not alerted to my presence." If Shiro had looked around, she would notice that no barriers were actually visible. This was because Kyomon and Shallow Grave were both completely invisible. "I have been using that meteorite over there to train my techniques to a point where I may fire them quickly with relatively little effort; but, there are some techniques that require an assistant. As for how I moved you so far... The Kido Corps is responsible for transporting Shinigami between worlds, as well as a few other responsibilities that are unrelated. Moving a single target sixty or seventy kilometers while staying in the same world is rather simple- especially when that target is not expecting it."
Mitsuoki sat down on the metallic ground of the crater and reached into his kimono to withdraw several scrolls. Laying them on the ground would reveal them to be his study notes, showing several decently drawn images of a generic human figure with energy around them. Another had notes written on it, and another had images that looked more like an molecule composition chart. "I have created this technique that allows a degree of defensive superiority when combatting energy based attacks. I require someone to constantly fire attacks at me in order to finish its creation. This is the request I have of you." If Shiro had expressed concern for his well being, Mitsuoki would say "I will be fine."
"And just how long did it take for you to prepare this training area?" Shiro asked in wonderment, noticing how large the area was. Even if Mitsuoki hadn't dug out the entirety of the crater itself, blocking it with barriers must have taken a long time considering he'd been working on it by himself the whole time. "The barriers are invisible and they hide your presence and smell from escaping outside?" Shiro was rather impressed with this feat. Even she hadn't dedicated any real time to barriers. Partly because she'd only ever been thinking about the combat effectiveness of what she could produce at a moment's notice. Thinking about the practical applications of her abilities had never even occurred to her as something she could possibly use her power for. Shiro played around with the funny idea of blocking Theocelese inside his room by placing barriers on all of the exits, a thought that brought a momentary glimmer of mischief to the girl's eyes. It was quickly gone in passing. Pranks like that simply didn't fit her personality so she'd likely never employ her abilities for such a purpose.
"Using the meteorite? How exactly are you using a meteorite to train your abilities?" Shio walked over to the rock to examine it. Using it to train was one thing, but what really confused her was how exactly a meteorite got into Hueco Mundo in the first place... Looking up, sure this place had a sky but... Wasn't this a spirit world of sorts? Did it really apply the same physics that the living world did? Did this mean there were other planets in this dimension besides the one they were on right now....?
"I'm seriously going to have to see if I can learn some of your skills... Massive invisible barriers and instantaneous transportation over tens of kilometers!? She was starting to notice how different each person's individual skills were. Mr. Rose was focused on combat, She was focused on combat too. Mitsuoki? He seemed to have a lot of capability with skills that provided more utility rather than just a usefulness in combat.
Noticing the scrolls he pulled out, Shiro went back over to where the Shinigami sat. "Notes...?" She listened to Mitsuoki's explanation. So he'd brought her here to test out a defensive technique then? But to have her personally fire off attacks at him seemed a bit extreme... Shiro recalled all her bouts with Theocelese. Training her speed, reaction to ranged attacks almost too fast to even see with eyes alone. "Are you sure you want me to attack you? You could get hurt... Badly..."
"I suppose it's fine, if you say you'll be alright..." Once Mitsuoki determined he was ready to begin and had assumed a proper position to face off against her attacks, Shiro let out a sigh to calm her nerves. She knew Theocelese could take her attacks no problem, but he was also a hell of a lot stronger than she was. Given their current differences in spiritual pressure, Shiro was almost certain she was on even footing with Mitsuoki when it came to strength. In fact in this moment she might even be so bold as to say she were a little bit stronger than him...
"I hope you're ready for this... I've never had the opportunity or need to hold back my full strength in a fight before..." She said fight but this would be more like a game of endure the pitcher's throws. Putting herself a reasonable distance from Mitsuoki Shiro placed both hands in front of her. Energy could be seen visibly gathering between Shiro's hands. If Mitsuoki hadn't known better he might even think the human girl was charging up a Cero blast, with the way the energy gathered and grew before she actually launched it at him by extending her arms forward. Obviously this was no Cero. When the girl let it go forth from her, it expanded into a large beam of blueish white energy and electricity. The beam extended much in the same manner as a Cero would but with a clearly noticeable difference in speed as the energy attack flew towards Mitsuoki as fast as a Bala.
She'd noticed one thing. This ability was one of the strongest ones she could use and actually fire off continuously. And from what she could tell, it massively outweighed a normal Bala's destructive capabilities. Stronger attacks were possible, but throwing such attacks off at a consistent rate was not exactly possible as gathering energy for them took a lot longer.
Shiro watched her attack fly. She didn't launch another one simply for the fact she was worried and wanted to know Mitsuoki could handle her attacks effectively before deciding it would be okay to form a continuous barrage.
Mitsuoki knew that he would need some time to adapt to Shiro's attack, so, when she stepped back, he flashstepped even further. She was relatively close to the middle of the training crater, and he was at the very back of it. His spiritual pressure extended out far enough for him to still feel her, so he would be able to adapt to her attack. It was something that Mitsuoki didn't tell anyone, that his spiritual pressure had no direct effect on combat. It didn't make people weaker, it didn't make them slower, it didn't shut down other's abilitys... No, his spiritual pressure was an extremely advanced form of radar. He kept this a secret so no one would know, not even thirty seven. He turned his back to her and reinforced the wall as a precaution. He then turned to face her and took his own defensive stance. He had a foot back to help him adjust to the force of an incoming attack, a foot forward to balance himself. One hand was extended towards Shiro, showing that he was going to block the attack without his zanpakuto.
He watched Shiro forming the attack and began feeling the energy of it. While she was forming it, Mitsuoki had paid attention to the density of the spirit energy contained within it. It felt like a Cero and looked like one, too, with how much energy she was packing and how long it took to fire it. When the attack left her hand, he immediately noticed how fast it was, as fast as a bala, and quickly put up a kyomon in front him to absorb some of the impact. He had sent a pulse of energy up his arm that had the same energy signature as the attack, but was flowing in the opposite direction. The attack hit his kyomon and his hand almost immediately after, only getting reduced a little bit, but still hitting him. Mitsuoki took the rest of the attack and was sent flying back, hitting the multiple layers of kyomon he set up and cracking three of them.
He slid down and landed on one knee, hunched over with his hand on the ground to stabilize him. It was a lot harder than any cero he'd taken before, even after being slightly weakened twice, and left him panting. He began talking under his breath, saying "Not fast enough, energy spiral was lacking, and the second burst was delayed due to hesitance." He closed his eyes for a second while he visualized the attack, viewing himself in third person to get a better idea of how it looked. "My arm was too rigid, unable to transfer the remaining energy. I'm lucking it's not broken. Stance was too wide, so I was thrown off. I'll have to adjust." He opened his eyes and stood up, taking another defensive stance and adjusting his stance to bring his defending arm back a little and tightening his feet. "Shiro! Again!" he hollered from across the expanse.
Again!? Was he serious? It'd taken everything she had not to rush over and see if Mitsuoki was okay. But she understood all the same. This was training, something he had to press himself in order to overcome. And to develop whatever technique it was he put into practice with defending against her attacks.
A form of seriousness took over Shiro. This should be a challenge and to keep things challenging, variation would be key. He would expect another similar attack from her and with his barrier in place he would eventually figure out how to efficiently guard against her at range. But something of the sort would not be enough. Predicting your opponent was never enough. One needed to understand that there could be no right or wrong in a true fight. She'd also been interested in testing a tactic she hadn't yet used on her teacher....
If he wasn't already close enough. Shiro would Spark step closer until her distance from Mitsuoki was a total of forty Meters away. Unfortunately for Mitsuoki he would expect her to attack from the front. He was in for a rude awakening. She had a barrier of her own to play, and advantages to using it within this distance.
With a large release of energy, a large half dome of electrified Reiatsu engulfed Shiro, and Mitsuoki too. Spreading out to form a fifty meter radius barrier centered around Shiro. This gave Mitsuoki only a ten meter distance from the closest section of the barrier. She held all the advantages for the Shinigami had never sparred with her before, though neither had she with him. Both held cards the other could only guess at but within their enclosed space Shiro need not worry exposing her abilities to potential enemies. Mitsuoki was no enemy, but he would take surprise just as if he were an enemy facing off against Shiro for the first time. So many unknowns, so many ways to approach this training session of his.
Shiro gave Mitsuoki a second to notice and realize the barrier's potential before raising an arm and pointing it at him. The barrier's own energy would mask the source of her actual attack to come. Though Normally this next attack only had a maximum range of thirty meters, Thanks to the barrier's effects, it's range as well as which direction it came from would become virtually impossible to detect.
Shiro contemplated verbally warning Mitsuoki about this next ability, but dismissed the idea. He was observant, she knew this. Albeit a bit lacking in the human's culture department... But if his notes were anything to go by then Shiro was fairly confident this wouldn't hurt him too much... if he managed to block it... Dodging with flash steps would be out of the question due to the barrier's mutually blocking both of them while inside the it's effect.
Though the gesture wasn't necessary, it would serve as her cautionary warning to Mitsuoki. Shiro pulled her outstretched hand directly towards herself. Mitsuoki would see it and likely be confused. But if he were focusing he might be able to detect the slight increase in spiritual density in the barrier's wall right behind himself at a distance of ten meters, and react to it accordingly. She would contain this attack, limiting it to half-bala speed as it arced forth from the wall, straight at Mitsuoki's back.
A bala moved at twenty time the speed of cero, and fast enough to break the sound barrier multiple times. Half of that speed was still enough to break the sound barrier, and reacting to it from short range was challenging. Mitsuoki had raised an eyebrow when the barrier was erected since he hadn't any idea why she was using a seemingly defensive technique. However, when he felt the density of reishi increasing behind him, the hairs on the back of his neck began standing on end. On instinct, he turned, removing one foot from the ground as the world began to slow. He saw the energy coming towards him and his left hand, the hand that was originally held back and not used for blocking due to having a marginally slower reiryoku transition rate, had gone up with the energy beginning to shift from his right side back to his left.
He was expecting Shiro to use a sensible attack, one that came from the front, where he could physically see it and have enough time to react to reduce the power if needed. Shiro had not done this, she had instead sent an attack to a part of him that had a slower channel of reiryoku, and had no reiryoku at all due to it being on the other side. Because of that, when the attack moved towards Mitsuoki at faster than the speed of sound, he had only enough time to begin channeling the energy. The attack shot past his finger tips, tearing through his forearm before hitting his upper arm and the wave of his own reiryoku that was traveling down it. The result was severely cut fingers and a large gash down the length of his arm that was already bleading profusely. Since he was in the process of turning, the attack sent him flying backwards off balance and sliding on the ground. As Mitsuoki let out a cry of pain so incredibly loud that his vocal chords couldn't vibrate fast enough to produce any sound at all, Shiro would feel an overwhelming spiritual pressure crushing down on her. Within that pressure, she would feel the absolute strongest amount of rage and despair, equivalent to what the man she just wounded had been feeling.
Mitsuoki had writhed in pain on the floor, curling his toes and shutting his eyes as tight as possible while gritting his teeth. His other hand was shakily trying to make its was to his zanpakuto and had gone so far as to touch the hilt before he passed out from the pain. His eyes were dull as the dead, and he wasn't breathing. It was only after a matter of seconds that his zanpakuto completely disappeared, leaving an empty sheath. "Hmmm... Mitsy really should have told the human what to do." a female voice said in a cutesy tone, the source of which was kneeling over Mitsuoki. "It was not expected that she would use an attack that he could never possibly block." a much deeper, masculine voice called just before the spirit had manifested himself behind the girl.
The male spirit was clad in black armor with a samurai sword at his waist, one that looked exactly like the one that Mitsuoki normally had. The girl wore a very frilly dress and had blonde hair. She began poking Mitsuoki's cheek while saying "Poke... Poke... Poke... Poke... Poke..." and stopping after the fifth, each poke creating an eclipse shaped tattoo. The bleeding from his now wounded left arm had stopped immediately. Tasogare crossed his arms over his chest while looking down at Mitsuoki. "Wake up, soul reaper." he commanded. Mitsuoki hadn't moved. Akatsuki had then said "Smack!" and slapped Mitsuoki hard enough to produce a very loud sound that echoed through the training crater, he still didn't wake up. Akatsuki puffed her cheeks while pouting. "Stupid Mitsy! It doesn't hurt that muuuuch!" she shouted. "Fine! I take the ouchies away!" she added. Akatsuki stood up and crossed her arms under her chest while keeping her cheeks puffed. The five tattoos on Mitsuoki's cheek glowed and the soul reaper opened his eyes. "Akatsuki, Tasogare... Please inform me that I have not been kissed by either of you." he said, clearly joking. "The human has damaged you." Tasogare stated in a blank tone. "YEEESH!!! She made a foul play and sent an attack from behind! You should kill her! Cut her heart out and paint Las Noches with her blood!" Akatsuki shouted while pointing her finger at Shiro. Mitsuoki had sat up and rubbed his head before looking at his arm. "The wound is not worthy of a death penalty, Akatsuki. It was my fault for not providing instruction and expecting her to know better." he said in his standardly cold tone. "It would seem that my brachial plexus has been disabled." he added upon realizing that his entire arm was paralyzed.
The tattoos on Mitsuoki's cheek glowed once more and Mitsuoki had altered his nervous system so the chemo-electrical signals would circumvent his right side brachial plexus. It would result in slower arm movement, but he would still be able to move it. At the same time, he increased his own metabolism to aid in repairing the damaged nerve faster. Shiro would see Mitsuoki's fingers begin moving, immediately reopening the wounds. A couple of drops of blood would come out before it had reclotted. "Shiro, that was an incredibly terrible idea." he said in a tone that lacked any emotion for her to gauge Mitsuoki's level of anger off of. At the same time, his spiritual pressure had leveled out and reflected no emotions either. "I am attempting to create a technique that no other individual in existence, that I may consult, currently knows. I was barely able to reduce the damage of your first attack from over fifty meters away, and you decided to fire an attack that is half as fast, coming at me from less than a quarter of the distance, in a direction that I was not prepared to block. Had your attack been any stronger, I would not have an arm and I would be obligated to stop being a Soul Reaper. I would essentially lose the only thing I have left- my identity. Please bear the repercussions of your actions in mind for the future. That lightning attack is best reserved for after I am able to use my technique."
Tasogare had let Mitsuoki explain the dangers of what Shiro had done, rather than him doing it on his own. "Mitsuoki, you will rest and let your arm recover. I have increased your rate of healing by two hundred fold, it will only take an hour. If you leave this place before mastering that technique, you will have failed me." The armored spirit said. Mitsuoki would simply say "Acknowledged." and nothing more. Mitsuoki had then spoke up again, saying "These two are my zanpakuto spirits, Akatsuki and Tasogare. My weapon has numerous effects. The ones being used at the moment are completely disabling my pain receptors, rerouting the channels that my nerves send mobility signals through, increasing my natural healing rate, and forcing blood clots. Normally these effects are random, but at times I may consciously invoke them." Akatsuki had turned away from Shiro, letting out a "Humph!" while turning her nose up. "I still say you should at least remove her arms!" to which Mitsuoki said "No."

What had she done...? The simple fact was Shiro had no one other than Theocelese to compare her own strength to up until now. She'd seen Mitsuoki fight before and figured his strength to be comparable to her own. She'd never even considered the fact that her move might have been unfair, both in execution as well as the level of surprise it boasted with Mitsuoki having never seen her use it before. Theocelese's words to her played back in the recesses of her memories. The anger he'd shown her after attempting a cheap shot from behind. For some reason she hadn't considered this too, could be considered a cheap shot. Attacking from places where one was not aware had been a lesson her father etched into her practices. In a fair and proper fight such actions might be considered cowardly. She was quickly regretting going all out against Mitsuoki.
She watched, helpless to do anything about her attack's trajectory once it had been launched at the Shinigami. Saw the damage it inflicted to Mitsuoki's arm. His collapse! He'd turned around just as she'd figured he might, but the results of his defense were far from what Shiro expected. Reapers who constantly battled Hollow. For her who'd only seen battle recently, and with her training under Theocelese, she'd suspected Mitsuoki's battle experiences to be greater than her own. It hadn't occurred to her that this training was for something aimed at a goal far more specific than combat awareness.
The Spiritual pressure released and felt by Shiro only served to help increase the girl's distress at what she'd done to Mitsuoki. Worry, fear, despair, even sadness mixed together in Shiro's emotions even as the barrier broke, dissipating into nothingness as quickly as it had appeared. To Shiro, Mitsuoki was a friend. Recently it seemed she might even consider him to be more than a friend... But now wasn't the time for embarrassing thoughts. She'd never intentionally hurt or injured a friend before. Her confidence in the Shinigami's confidence had blinded her to the particulars and she'd made him suffer as a result with her attack. "Mitsuoki!!!" Shiro screamed, sprinting as fast as her Spark Steps would allow her. She needed to confirm his condition. To know that he would be okay. That he wouldn't die because of her careless and recklessly miscalculated destructive attack.
She stopped short, not more than a couple meters from Mitsuoki, realizing there were now two others standing around the collapsed Shinigami. They seemed to care about Mitsuoki, whoever they were but at the same time the girl almost seemed to be playing with the Shinigami, poking him several times and even slapping him. Shiro wanted to help, but she didn't have any medical expertise, nor did she know how to assist him in this situation. He didn't appear to have brought any medical supplies with him and with how she'd been summoned to this place, Shiro herself hadn't had any time to prepare anything or bring supplies outside of what was on her person in the moment. Which was limited to the armor she wore and her sword...
The first thing Mitsuoki did after regaining consciousness? To ask the two peculiar individuals and confirm that they hadn't kissed him while he'd been passed out. They talked, Shiro listened to their conversation, lowering her gaze from Mitsuoki's injured body, down to the floor beneath her. Shiro was shaking... Shaking from the fear that she might have easily caused something irreversible to happen. That if anything were to happen to Mitsuoki because of her, she wouldn't be able to forgive herself. "I'm sorry!" Shiro cried, tears flowing from her cheeks and falling onto her hands. If Mitsuoki saw fit to punish her at this point for her actions against him she would not argue with that decision... Though she was glad he wasn't taking the advice of this Akatsuki person... A death penalty sounded a bit extreme...
"I'm sorry..." Shiro repeated softly once Mitsuoki confirmed her attack to have been a terrible idea. She knew this now. She probably would have thought better of using such a thing against Mitsuoki to begin with had she not been lost to the training mode she'd gotten used to during her bouts with Mr. Rose. What made things worse was not knowing just how angry Mitsuoki was. She couldn't gauge anything with the level of emotional detachment in his voice. For some reason it made her heart curl in pain not knowing if the injuries she'd inflicted upon him extended beyond the physical level...
Shiro's eyes went blank, the tears refreshing in intensity at the idea that Mitsuoki may have been forced to stop doing the only thing he saw himself fit to be. A Shinigami. And it would have been all thanks to her. Shiro's body shook violently at the thought that she could have torn his future away from him, just as the Hollow had taken her own parents away from her, voiding any future she could have spent with them. "I'm really... sorry." Shiro sobbed. Everything he explained to her made sense. It'd been her execution that'd caused this predicament. Her lack of understanding Mitsuoki's training method that'd resulted in an unfortunate mishap and the damage to his arm.
Shiro wanted to help. Perhaps there was something she could do to assist Mitsuoki with his recovery. She desperately wanted to make things up to him but couldn't bring herself to ask. She felt distant from the situation now. Like she belonged in a cage, separated from the events unfolding before her. She couldn't blame Mitsuoki for bringing her here. It'd been her own naive interpretations and actions that'd caused the issues, not his. Even as he saw fit to introduce his Zanpakutou spirits to her, Shiro felt as if her intrusion into this place had been a mistake and she needed to apologize for it. Shiro even half agreed with Mitsuoki's Zanpakutou spirits... If punishment would suffice in righting her wrong, then she would accept it. As long as it wasn't anything as extreme or permanent like cutting off her arms like they were suggesting...
"Shiro." Mitsuoki said to try and get her attention. He would turn to look at her with a cold expression, the same as always, and say "I am to remain out of training for an hour, so your punishment shall be allowing me to use your being as I please." in a completely serious tone. He would pat the ground next to him and say "Sit, please." in a fairly calm tone. Assuming that Shiro had sat with him, Mitsuoki would shift away from her just a little bit before letting gravity take him and dropping his head on her lap with his eyes closed. He would then turn so he was facing up and open one of his eyes. In a calm tone he would say "This is your punishment." before closing the eye again.
While laying there, Mitsuoki would say "Shiro." once more to get the human's attention. "I wished to ask this previously, and am still curious. Why is it that you wish to visit the Soul Society? I do not believe visiting to thank someone while still depending on another to be truly the reason. If you were fully independent, I would be able to accept it, but such is not the case. So, the truth, please." his tone would imply that he fully believed it were a lie, but also that he wasn't made about it.
Mitsuoki called her name and Shiro lifted her head, making eye contact. Normally such a demand as what followed would be met with utter embarrassment from the girl, but given the circumstances of what'd happened it was a grossly smaller punishment than she'd expected. Mostly... "O-okay... I understand." Her hesitance less about the punishment and more about why Mitsuoki had chosen as he had. Shiro couldn't help but be embarrassed with the way he worded the intentions. How exactly would he use her being? Shiro's embarrassment grew when what she'd expected was met with a simple demand for her to be nothing more than Mitsuoki's lap pillow. "H-hai...!" Shiro acknowledged, averting her eyes from Mitsuoki's, her face turning crimson. What exactly had she expected!? This was a far more normal demand or punishment than her mind had lead her to believe. She felt foolish that her inner expectations had expected something more sinful than this.
"Uhm... Well..." She'd been using excuses for why she wanted to go to Soul Society. While thanking a Shinigami did happen to be a small part of the goal, it was more of a side-quest from Shiro's primary interests in making passage. "I'm just curious I guess... It's one thing to hear about a place but I've never really been to a spirit world before. I just feel like I want to be able to experience it with my own eyes. Hearing others talk about it only makes me more interested in wanting to know more about it on a personal level... Besides it sounds like it is full of life, more than Hueco Mundo at least... Unlife?" Shiro explained, adding the confusion about life at the end of her statement since Soul Society was technically not a place for the living. With her admittance, Shiro wiped away the watery evidence of her earlier emotional outbreak, giving Mitsuoki a weak smile if he were looking at her.
The girl was curious about the Soul Society. She had heard of what others said for the place, but never actually laid eyes on it herself. Mitsuoki had nodded in agreeance when she said that it sounded like it was full of life, or what one could equate to the Soul Society's variant of it. The story she told him this time was more believable than the last. If someone had required a life saving, they would only seek out their savior when they were strong enough to stand on their own feet. Naturally, if they had crossed their savior on their path to becoming that strong, they would normally thank them, but rarely did anyone make it a goal to find them. "It is a most interesting place when compared to Hueco Mundo. However, it is not as impressive as the world of the living, in my opinion."
Mitsuoki hadn't elaborated on the statement, as usual. The Soul Society was largely divided amongst itself. The Soul Reapers were their own organization, the Kidoshu were their own organization, the souls in the Rukon Districts were left to govern themselves, the nobility in the first set of districts were a completely different system... Everyone was trying to survive but no one worked together. The humans had at least some form of unity when in times of need, but those in the Soul Society didn't have that. Mitsuoki would quickly fall asleep and his zanpakuto spirits would vanish, returning to his inner world. Shiro would be able to see that the wound was indeed healing rapidly, far faster than it would without kido, which would prove that what Tasogare said about making him heal faster was true. After an hour, there wouldn't even be a scar. Mitsuoki would wake up after that time and sit up before asking "Are you ready for another try?"

"I would hope it is from the sounds of it..." Shiro retorted, recalling how desolate the areas of Hueco Mundo she'd seen were. The only thing that seemed to stand out among the barren sands of this Hollow infested spiritual world was Las Noches itself. The structure stood out like a sore thumb, towering over an otherwise desolate looking landscape. This of course being the extent of her exploration. She'd heard of the forests but from the sounds of how dangerous it was she'd never dared make passage in order to take a look by herself. "I'd rather be the judge of my own opinions. You may not think it very impressive but then you've lived there how long now? There are places I've seen in pictures of sites on Earth that look impressive even just from the images taken of them. I imagine those places would be even more impressive up close to someone who's never experienced the sight before." Shiro commented to the second part of Mitsuoki's statement, indicating that she might find impressive, something that he took for granted simply because he'd been around it for such a long time.
Shiro was a bit surprised when the two others disappeared, but looking to Mitsuoki suggested to her that maybe they had something to do with his consciousness. Were these spirits something that didn't manifest themselves while their owner was unconscious? Her cheeks flushed a dim shade of red, realizing this was the first time she'd ever seen Mitsuoki's sleeping expression. It was somehow calmer and more relaxed than the usual cold and stoic expression he held on his face.
The rate at which the injuries healed was an object of Shiro's fascination. She'd never seen anything like it except in sci-fi or fantasy shows and movies. To think that something like this were even possible, it made Shiro feel a little more relieved that her actions hadn't caused Mitsuoki an even greater deal of injury. Still, she wondered just how strong was she now if she'd been able to do this to him? She'd made a terrible prediction and it'd ended badly. Holding back her strength was clearly not one of her strongest traits... Not with the training she'd faced when sparring with Theocelese. He'd kept up with her every step of the way so perhaps he was holding back for her sake? But if that were the case then just how much stronger was Mr. Rose? And how much stronger did this mean she could become? Shiro's thoughts wandered and her eyes fell back to Mitsuoki's dreaming face, gradually closing her own eyes. "I guess I never fathomed before, just how possible it was to gain this kind of strength... I'm sorry..." Shiro muttered to herself, leaning her face and shoulders over Mitsuoki's. She didn't think there'd ever be a time she could apologize enough for how stupid she'd been. It really was true what they said about making assumptions, and right now the girl really did feel like such an ass for it.
It hadn't occurred to her just how close she'd drawn herself to Mitsuoki until she felt the warmth of his breath on her face. Shiro opened her eyes to find she'd relaxed so much in her position that her face rested mere inches above Mitsuoki. Shiro abruptly straightened her back, pulling herself into a proper sitting position once again. She breathed a sigh, cheeks flushed, her heart pounding. "T-that was close..." Shiro exhaled, looking back to Mitsuoki who continued to lay resting in her lap. His expression dipped into a strange smile which prompted Shiro to gently poke his dimpled cheeks with two fingers. "How come you don't smile like this when you're awake..." Shiro thought to herself. Just then Mitsuoki opened his eyes, causing Shiro to rebound and quickly hide her fingers. Oh god! She hoped he hadn't noticed what she'd been doing...!
"I... I'm not sure..." Uncertainty plagued the girl. After what she'd done before rendered Mitsuoki severely injured. Her nerves shook at the possibility of it happening again if she weren't careful. In some regards Shiro hoped the training would be over, that she wouldn't need to be the one involved in charging and firing projectiles at him... She was dreading it now more than she had before. Shiro wasn't certain if she could handle another incident if she unintentionally ended up hurting Mitsuoki again...
Shiro had said that she wasn't sure if she was ready to keep going. Mitsuoki hardened his gaze, giving her a firm, but not judgemental, and certainly not cruel look. "Shiro." he said to call her attention to him and away from her nerves. "Fear is a natural reaction to have. It is because of fear that we make decisions resulting in our survival. However, we cannot let fear rule us. I am not afraid of you or your power." Mitsuoki held his hand out to help Shiro get up. "So long as you stick to using attacks that I can see coming, you have nothing to fear."
Mitsuoki had actually analyzed Shiro's attack when it hit him. The fact that it originated from the barrier meant that it required that barrier to fire. It wasn't particularly strong since all it did was create a cut rather than completely destroying his arm. In theory, he could create a field of kido around him that causes the attack to begin breaking down to its base components. But first, he would need to get this first technique out of the way. Afterwards, he could expand it to create an entire kido. If Shiro had agreed to keep going, then Mitsuoki would have her go back to the middle of the training crater and assume his defensive stance. If she hadn't agreed to keep going, he would let out a sigh while also not looking her in the eye, but rather, closing his eyes and trying to think of an alternative.
Was it fear? Not the kind of fear she would feel if someone were trying to attack and kill her but a fear for what she thought her abilities might actually do to Mitsuoki? Though he seemed confident in his own ability to stand up to her strength, she was still wary. Even if she went back to using the original attack again, she was very glad she hadn't used any stronger abilities against Mitsuoki. She dreaded to think what would have happened had she done so...
Accepting his hand, Shiro returned to her feet. "R-right..." She blushed. He hadn't had time to react to her second attack so of course he'd been injured as a result. She should have figured from the start that this was no ordinary kind of training. Ordinary training could likely have been done within the Soul Society Mitsuoki originated from, not this large pit hidden within the sands of another world.
Stepping back to their original distance, Shiro prepared herself. Calming down was the first thing she needed to do if she wanted to avoid mishaps. Ever since he'd mentioned continuing the training, Shiro couldn't help but feel uneasy about it. Hurting Mitsuoki was not something She was interested in doing but this training would inadvertently do so regardless. What mattered most was the outcome. Mitsuoki's desire to master a technique, though she still didn't understand why it required or needed live testing to complete...
Once Mitsuoki signaled to her that he was ready, Shiro placed her hands in front of herself, gathering the energy for the attack. She might have let off a little lightly with this one... preventing the attack from growing as strong as it had the first time she fired it at Mitsuoki. Even with his reassurance, she didn't want to have anymore of his blood on her conscience.
He saw that the attack was being prepared and could feel the reishi composition of it. It would seem that Shiro was hesitating to fire, no, the pause was too long. She was waiting for Mitsuoki to be ready, this time. Mitsuoki inhaled and let out his breath slowly while adjusting his stance and focusing on the attack. "Fire!" he shouted, letting Shiro know he was ready. Once she released the attack, he could feel the reishi becoming less dense than before to create a watered down version. Normally he would have issues with someone holding back against him, but in this case, it was welcome since his technique didn't work much if at all against the first.
This time, when the attack hit Mitsuoki's hand, it did the usual explosion that caused the upper half of his sleeve to completely torn off. However, as Mitsuoki was resting on one knee, panting from the adrenaline rush that normally came with staring down such a powerful attack before taking it head on, he noticed something on the ground that Shiro would also see. There was a very thin trail of crystal-like shards leading from Mitsuoki to Shiro, following the path of her attack. "We're making progress." he said under his breath. Mitsuoki stood up again with a few bruises on his face and right arm, taking his defensive stance again and shouting "Again!" with a more determined, but still partially cold, expression.

He still wanted to keep going after that? Shiro'd been quite shocked when she saw what remained of Mitsuoki's sleeve, or lack thereof... Whatever he'd done to her energy attack had caused a thin trail of crystalline fragments to be produced. Were they something permanent or would they disappear after a little while? She was curious but didn't think much on it since deciphering Mitsuoki's method for dispersing her attack wasn't really the focus of this little event. Still, even holding off like she did, she'd done some damage to Mitsuoki. It was concerning and she figured holding off a bit more might not hurt the situation. If she could keep from sending him into another hour long recovery by drawing back the power of her attacks then she would do so, as long as Mitsuoki made no complaints about it...
She drew her hands into the same position as before, calling up the energy and gathering it between them. She focused on forming the energy and then dispersing enough of it to be slightly less potent than her first two similar attacks. She'd continue this method until she found a state in which she could send forth an attack that didn't obviously produce more harm to Mitsuoki whenever he used his newly designed technique to block it.
She'd never thought about it before but firing the same energy attack over and over again from the same position and in the same direction, seemed to have an unusual affect on the surrounding area as minuscule particles of her energy would remain hanging in the air. But then maybe it was due to Mitsuoki's crystallizing ability... She wasn't sure. She'd figure it out later during one of her own private training practices.
Mitsuoki had felt the reishi density of Shiro's attack getting even less powerful. There were different kinds of attacks. There were attacks that once you ran out of energy, you couldn't use it at all. There were ones where you could use it endlessly, at the cost of your own life force. There were ones you could fire a specific amount of times, regardless of energy. Then, there were ones that got weaker with each shot. The hour of rest Shiro had gotten should have reset her timer if her's was the latter type, but they each kept getting weaker, meaning that she was deliberately reducing the power. "Shiro, keep the power the same as last time, please." he would say loud enough to be heard across the expanse of the training crater. If Shiro had expressed concern over it, Mitsuoki would say "If you reduce the power of your attacks every time you fire, then I'm not actually making progress with this technique." at the same volume as before.
This time, when Mitsuoki said "Fire" and Shiro released the attack, its power would be reduced by Mitsuoki's technique even further and more of the crystal shards would be on the ground. He would also take significantly less damage than before. After which, Mitsuoki would shout "Again! With the same power, please." while assuming his defensive stance. When Shiro was ready, Mitsuoki would shout "Fire" to have her release the attack. The attack would be turned into more crystal shards, with the remnants of the last attack vanishing. Once again, Mitsuoki would say "Again! Same power as the last one, please." while preparing himself. He would let her know when he was ready and this time, Shiro would notice the attack wouldn't explode at all. This time, when it touched Mitsuoki, the entire attack would stop in the air before shattering into thousands of those crystals that quickly dissipated. "Okay, let's take a small break." he would call out so Shiro and him could recover some of their energy.

"What!? But I might hurt you again if I do that...!" Shiro shouted back at Mitsuoki's request to maintain the previous level of power she'd used in her attack. Sure it was still a weakened version of what she could unleash of it but even this watered down version had, at the very least, dealt some visible damages to Mitsuoki's clothing. She argued but Mitsuoki's return held it's own sound argument in response. True if she kept reducing the power of her attack then eventually it would be like taking a fountain of water and pouring it on someone instead of tightening a hose so that it could spray high pressured water at someone...
Sighing, Shiro responded to Mitsuoki's request, strengthening the attack back to it's previous level of being watered down. Though she still had qualms about firing off a full powered blast at him, after seeing what the effect of Mitsuoki's defensive technique on her attack, she was now curious to find out how this ability of his stood up to her full strength. She'd save that for later, once Mitsuoki decided he'd mastered his experimental technique enough to warrant trying larger attacks against it.
Firing the attack at equal power to the last one, Shiro was surprised at how much more crystallization occurred. "Wow... this is rather impressive...!" Shiro wondered at the effect Mitsuoki had produced. It hadn't even exploded like normal, which Shiro deemed to be very strange indeed. She was preparing to fire the next attack but stopped when Mitsuoki announced that they would take a break. Was he tired or did he need a rest to recover his energy? She'd been firing off rather low yield attacks so she felt fine, yet at the same time she kind of wanted to see what effects her full strength in this attack would do. She thought about it... even went so far as to build up to full strength, but then decided against it... This wasn't her training ground, plus she would feel bad if the attack held enough power to break any part of the barrier Mitsuoki had worked so diligently to prepare for the select purpose of his own training efforts.
Mitsuoki had sensed that Shiro was charging energy, but she wasn't aiming at him. She was aiming at the ground, something that could break the barrier he put down there and possibly attract hollows to their location. He was getting ready to bind her in place to stop her, but she seemed to have changed her mind on her own, negating the need for such actions. He moved over to a part of the crater that was shaped like a two-person loveseat with an angled back rest where he took a seat before calling to Shiro, saying "Shiro, would you mind coming over here, please?"
When Shiro got over to him, she would find a surprise waiting when he stood up to have her turn around. He would then grab her and pull her to sit on him, turn in the seat so they were both putting their feet up on it, and have her in the same position they were in at the theatre. Just like back then, Mitsuoki would gently tighten his grasp on Shiro to hold her warmly. "This is much better." he would say in a relaxed tone. "I feel much more at ease under the night sky in this world... but a part of me still feels uneasy. Holding you like this puts that part at ease. It is most relaxing." he would explain before relaxing his body more and resting his head on the backrest. If Shiro had been paying attention, she would feel that she was sitting on him.
He would be there for around ten minutes before his arms shifted from holding Shiro's waist to being laced across her shoulders where his head would relax and rest on, cuddling the human while he was taking a nap. He would remain in that position for another twenty minutes before he began waking up, continuing to hug Shiro by her shoulders while looking over her head at the crater with a groggy expression. He then looked down and paused, staring at Shiro for a few seconds while dots began connecting. His arms then released the human and he said "My apologies, I did not mean to hold you in such a restricting position. It must have been quite uncomfortable." in his usual cold tone. "Let us continue where we left off. I'd like you to begin using the full power of that attack from the same distance so I can adjust my technique properly, please."

So it was an official break then. Upon closer inspection, Shiro was glad to see that no further harm had come to Mitsuoki because of her. Holding back was a good answer for the earlier problem. Approaching where Mitsuoki stood, he asked her to turn around... Shiro tilted her head in confusion but did so anyway, figuring it was probably another part of whatever process the Shinigami had in mind.
This turned out not to be the case as she felt his hands pull her into a sitting position on top of his lap. "W-w-what are you doing...!?" Shiro's face turned bright red as she struggled to understand what was happening with the current situation. It was like the movie theater all over again...! Even Mitsuoki's explanation, while varying in its reasoning, was still basically the same as before. This action was calming and relaxing to him? But why? And while that may be true, Shiro still had no idea how to react to this situation at all... What did she mean to him exactly...?
The next few minutes, Shiro attempted to relax, but the more she thought about where she sat, the heavier her heart would thump inside her chest. a Nerve wracking ten minutes passed with Shiro massively failing to calm her flushing cheeks and racing heart. She didn't manage to calm down even a little bit until Mitsuoki rested his arms over her shoulders and started actually napping. "Well now I feel kind of like a body pillow..." Shiro thought, though the notion did little to settle her emotionally wrung nerves.
"I-it's okay...!" Shiro nearly yelped when she heard Mitsuoki's apology, subsequently releasing her from his grasp. "It was relaxing for me too..." A blatant lie. Shiro's heart was only beginning to calm down now that she'd been released from Mitsuoki's emotional torture. What was she doing? Aside from her parents a long time ago, no one else had ever actually held her in such a way... Nope better not to think about it. Shiro shook her head, both to dismiss her thoughts and excuse Mitsuoki's apology. ...Why was she excusing him exactly...?
"Continue... are you sure it's okay to do that?" She didn't ask because she was concerned about herself. Mitsuoki wanted her to fire full strength blasts of energy at him now? First the cuddling, now this? Was he treating her like some sort of Tsundere or something? No. Training. This was training, for him. She needed to stop thinking about everything at once. Stop being embarrassed and focus properly on the main goal. "I... understand but... are you sure it's okay? I mean you got pretty badly hurt the first time, granted it was my mistake for doing what I did but still..." Mitsuoki would obviously insist. From what one of Mitsuoki's spirits had said, this was some sort of trial and not completing it would be a failure...? Shiro sighed, accepting her fate to be the turret that would launch attacks at what was supposed to have been a friend or ally...
She'd distanced herself from Mitsuoki. Same distance, same place as before. But this time she would be firing off a full powered version of her attack at Mitsuoki. Even if he'd figured out his defensive technique enough to where he might be able to minimize the damages, she still feared that she might unintentionally hurt him... Shaking her head again, Shiro dismissed the excuses. The first time had been a foolish mistake. Mitsuoki hadn't even been close to prepared for her attack. This would hopefully be different than before. Holding both hands out front, she gathered the energy for her attack. She'd be able to test it now, though it wasn't at a random bit of terrain like she'd hoped to be able to do...
The energy attack poured forth from Shiro's hands, forming into a fully powered, almost Cero-like appearance as the bluish white electric energy shot out and towards Mitsuoki at Cero Speed.
