Mitsuoki had noticed Shiro's reaction when she thought about people she failed to protect, it was the same reaction that Mitsuoki had whenever he thought about the day he unsealed his blade for the first time. She had seemed to have the wrong idea when it came to what Mitsuoki had meant by a common foe, thinking that he was referring to the one that humans and shinigami faced. He had actually expected that Theoclese would have at least explained his own origins to her to help her understand him better, but it seemed such expectations were met with disappointment. It wasn't imperative to training, so, in hindsight, maybe he shouldn't have expected that.
"Yes, take you there. But the foe I speak of is not the hollows. I had intended on saving any knowledge sharing for later, but it seems that would leave you ignorant of the individual that trains you." he said bluntly. "To reiterate that which you should already know, hollows are made from human souls that fail to enter the soul society. There are various way that this may happen. A soul could linger in this world for far too long and succumb to the loneliness of their existence. This method is dependent on the soul's individual mental strength. The next method is for them to skip being a soul and, upon separation from their physical body, already be a hollow. This normally occurs when an individual commits suicide, since they are dying with significant grief in their hearts already. The third, main method, is that an even more powerful hollow can capture the soul, corrupt it, and make it a hollow." Mitsuoki had paused to take a sip of the water that the waitress had given him with his shake.
"The hole in their chest is where their heart used to be, and that heart becomes their mask. This hole creates a separation from their human morals and their emotional dilemma, which in turn, creates a void. They spend their entire lives consuming anything that can be eaten in a vain attempt to fill that void. When these hollows begin banding together and consuming each other, rather than hunting human souls, this feeding frenzy causes them all to combine into a single, mindless entity that all races call a Menos Grande. This first stage --called a Gillian-- is the weakest, as you can imagine, and is massive, slow moving, and completely mindless. They are also the most abundant." Another pause was given while Mitsuoki looked up to make sure other weren't listening in. Their area was fairly uninhabited since it was the slow part of the day, so it wasn't really anything he should be concerned about.
"When a Gillian becomes self aware once more, it takes over the entire consciousness of its form, overpowering the other thousand or so hollow minds that it merged with in the beginning. There can be one million royal bloods in the castle, but there can only be one king. This Gillian begins consuming the others around it, merging with those ones soon after. It then erupts from below the surface of Las Noches onto the sand clad surface as an Adjuchas. They are smaller and considerably more powerful, and often times have unique abilities. A single Adjuchas has the power to control hundreds of Gillian with a single thought. In this state, they are no longer grieved by the pain of their former life. They are consumed by something even worse... Fear. They fear reverting to a Gillian and losing their individuality again, even more afraid that they may never regain that individuality should it happen, and more afraid still that they would be consumed by another Adjuchas and be made part of its being. So, the Adjuchas eat and gorge themselves as much as possible in hopes of entering a state where they are too great to be attacked, and too advanced to ever revert." Another pause for him to take a drink.
"This final stage is roughly the size of a human. Their spiritual pressure is unmistakable. To summarize it... Take my spiritual pressure... Now imagine a force so great, my spiritual pressure is choked out and extinguished entirely by it. That which you are imagining does not even come close to the spiritual pressure of the Vasto Lordes. Were it as easy as eat until you evolve, there would be many more of them present in Hueco Mundo; but, such is not the case. Most Adjuchas will never reach this point."
Mitsuoki gave it a moment to sink in before moving on. "To finish the hollows, there is a final step to their potential evolution. With the power of a very specific device, with the aid of a very specific individual whom I am completely and undeniably not associated with in any way, shape, or form... A hollow of Gillian rank or above may evolve into an Arrancar. You see, no matter what your race is, there is a definite cap at how strong you can get. The only way to overcome this maximum is to cross the divide between spiritual beings. In your case, you can reach your maximum as a human and then cross to either a hollow or a soul reaper to get even stronger. After that, you could cross from one of those into the other. This is that which your trainer has accomplished, abandoning being a pure hollow in favor of tip-toeing the line between Hollow and Shinigami. Of course... he can't use kido, but if you have ever been impacted directly by a bala, you know that those are just as good as any offensive spell I can cast." If Shiro had asked about Soul Reapers crossing the divide and becoming hollows, Mitsuoki would reply "We do not speak of them. Not without the appropriate rank." If she had asked about who or where he would be taking her, Mitsuoki would simply say "Consider it to be a surprise." Around this point in their conversation, the ramen would hit the table, smelling amazing.

"Well I kind of understood where Mr. Rose came from... I'm still not sure how he managed to get a video feed of the event as it was happening or why they would have been recording anything in such a chaotic battle as it was but he did show me the moment in which he became a Hollow himself..." Shiro recalled the moment of watching that video and the effect it'd had on Theocelese even though he'd experienced the event first hand...
Shiro listened to Mitsuoki's explanations about the Hollow. Some of the information she'd already known, other bits she was surprised to find out. She couldn't recall Mr. Rose specifically talking about Hollow classifications before or what they meant in terms of individual strengths. And to think that some hollows were even a mass of many hollow warped together... It sent a small chill down her back but at the same time piqued her interest. She kind of wanted to know what these massive Hollow looked like... Thought about it but wasn't altogether sure she should attempt such a thing. Putting herself into harm's way on purpose was something she'd promised Theoceles she wouldn't do.
"Shinigami can become hollows?" Shiro's expression became perplexed and she looked to Mitsuoki for an answer, to which he stated that he did not have the appropriate rank to detail that information... Which meant he had the information but wouldn't give it to her... Figures, Shiro thought. A small degree of annoyance revealing itself on her face.
"So are you saying that there's only so much I can do as a human before getting even stronger begs the question of whether or not I want to die in order to obtain that power...?" If that were true then this would make things depressing. She could tell she'd gotten stronger recently, a lot stronger at that. But if what Mitsuoki was saying were true didn't that mean she'd never be able to match Theocelese's strength if she remained human? Shiro shook her head. There was no way she'd want to give up her life to seek even more power. Just the notion sounded counter productive to the entire reason she'd decided to become stronger in the first place. Strength to survive. This was what she'd wanted. Going beyond the logic of that just wouldn't make any sense. Then again the decision would eventually be on her table if she ever did die... Shiro shoved the thought to the back of her mind. She wouldn't trade her life for more power... She'd get as strong as she could as the person she was, surely it would be enough if she didn't go actively looking for trouble...
Mitsuoki had paused when Shiro had asked her question. It was as though she thought she had a choice in the matter... sadly, it didn't work that way. "No." Mitsuoki said in a blunt tone. "What you wanted was the power to protect. This power can be obtained through hard work, dedication, and a heart with enough hope to forever push onwards. You have something that I lack, which is why you are destined to surpass me, even without dying. You have likely already surpassed me. If you seek the power to go beyond that, to go beyond everyone... You must be willing to die, betray your original desire to protect, and be willing to kill everyone you lay your eyes on." Mitsuoki looked Shiro in the eyes with a very cold expression, remembering the soul reaper who betrayed the soul society and the rumors of how powerful he was. "Remember that which I said, regarding the Gillian, Shiro... There can be one million royal bloods in any single castle... but there can only be one, single king." Mitsuoki looked at ramen and pulled some with his chop sticks. "Such is the curse of being the strongest." he then put the bite in his mouth and began eating.
Mitsuoki would continue eating until addressed. If Shiro had asked what she had that Mitsuoki lacked, he would say "Hope." and continue eating. It was true. Mitsuoki had lost everything he ever had. His memories of when he was human were scattered across time an space. His love had died right before his eyes. His best friend had died not long after. His sparring partners had all been killed in action. He lived alone for years after that, without anyone to lift him up and tell him he could be more, without anyone to be anything more than just another face in the crowd. He had no hope at all, and only continued training to pass the time and forget everything that had happened. Of course, he would never tell Shiro why he lacked hope. He would simply expect her to understand that everyone had their own personal scars.
The waitress had returned after some time with the rest of their order and asked if there was anything else they'd like to order, to which Mitsuoki told her that he was content. He had quickly eaten the dongo and taiyaki before returning to the ramen. "What do you know of the Quincy, Shiro?" he asked before taking another bite.

"I'd never betray myself for something as base as that..." Shiro let her eyes fall away from Mitsuoki's and down to the meal in front of her. Picking up her chopsticks she stuck them into the ramen and stirred its contents in an effort to help it cool. "If I had to killed everyone I laid eyes on... Then it just wouldn't be right... I wouldn't be me anymore if I did that..." This conversation was quickly becoming dark. Shiro didn't like the direction this talk about getting stronger seemed to be taking. "Besides the king thing only applies to hollows right? They eat each other, absorb them and become stronger because of it. A method like that has nothing to do with me."
"And what could I possibly have that you don't already have?" Once she'd wrapped a good chunk of ramen around her chopsticks, Shiro pulled it out along with several conveniently balanced pieces of chicken and stuck it into her mouth to eat.
"Hope...?" Shiro's chopsticks stopped halfway into scooping up her second helping of ramen. Hope? Did she have hope? What exactly was it she hoped for? Shiro looked to Mitsuoki, who was busy working on consuming his own food. "And why exactly don't you have hope? It's not like you just lose it...right?" Was she kidding herself? What hope had she back when she'd first seen the destruction of her house... The monster that'd taken her parents away... Been struck by the bone shattering pain that'd kept her from helping her parents in any way that she could. Hope wasn't something gained through one's own measure... It relied on an outside assistance... Where would she even be right now if Theocelese hadn't come to her and given her the hope and determination to make herself stronger in the first place?
"I think I get it now... You're all alone... aren't you..." Shiro didn't look at Mitsuoki when she said the words. Lifting her chopsticks to her mouth she took another bite of her ramen. It all made sense now. Mitsuoki hadn't been distant and purposefully refusing her answers simply because she was human and he was a Shinigami... He was afraid... Afraid to rely on something like hope. "I don't know what happened to make you lose hope and I won't ask..." Shiro swirled her ramen and pulled out another batch of noodles and chicken. "I know hope can be painful if you rely on it too much... But you shouldn't abandon something and stop caring just because it hurts you..." Shiro ate in silence after her statements. She didn't really feel like talking about depressing things anymore.
"Quincy? Well I know that their methods for taking care of hollow differs from Shinigami and that the two are are at odds with each other because of it... Can't say I really know much more than that though. Why do you ask?" She'd finished her ramen and after setting the bowl aside she cast Mitsuoki a quizzical look.
Shiro had asked why Mitsuoki had inquired about her knowledge of the Quincy's, and he said "Whether you like it or not, we are both at war with them. The Quincies oppose the hollows and Soul Reapers equally. You see, your decision to stand by your trainer's side makes you an ally to the hollows- even if he is a civil hollow. As much as I refused to kill a Quincy, I wear the same outfit that my peers do. They will be the first that we discuss; however, I will not be the first to tell their tale." Mitsuoki would finish drinking the broth to his ramen and put the bowl down before wiping his mouth.
"There are three sides to this conflict. There is the beginning from the standpoint of the Quincies, the beginning from the standpoint of the Soul Reapers, and the beginning as it truly occurred. I do not wish to give you just one, single, biased story to base your judgement on. So, we will venture to speak with a Quincy. You will hear both sides and decide for yourself who is right, and who is wrong. Just so you know my opinion, both sides are fools. Perhaps at the end you will agree." Mitsuoki had asked for his taiyaki to be boxed to go, as well as his dongo. He had even paid for Shiro's meal, since he had enough human money left over from their last meeting to do so. When he got out the door of the establishment, Mitsuoki would say "From now until we come in contact with the Quincy, hide your spiritual pressure. Bear in mind, as far as she is concerned, we are enemies. If she attacks either of us, do not move a muscle. I am more than capable of subduing a single enemy. In your case, I would not wish risking the Quincies considering humans an enemy as well. It will be far less consequential if I fought her in your stead, just this once." He then pulled out a small, orange candy and put it in his mouth, ejecting his soul from his body. "Thirty seven, you heard where we are going. I want you to follow behind." The mod soul nodded in agreement.
While walking, Mitsuoki had said "Hmmm..." as if he were thinking deeply. "Shiro, I had thought back to what you had said... I do not feel lonely. Or... I... do not think I feel lonely. As long as I can remember I have always had a difficult time finding hope. It is not a matter of feeling depressed, I do not have access to such an emotion. I just simply... do not feel hopeful. It is most difficult to explain..." he would say in a tone that implied that he was having a hard time even explaining that much. He wasn't sad at all, just... confused.
"...War?" Shiro shot a worried, questioning look at Mitsuoki. Was their conflict really that bad that something like war would actually happen? And to include her in that as well simply because she affiliated with Theocelese...? Shiro's own ramen was nearing its end and she did likewise, taking in the broth of the bowl now void of noodles or chicken.
After their meal was complete, Shiro thanked the waitress. She also thanked Mitsuoki for his kindness in paying for her meal as well, though she'd wanted to insist on paying for both of them. He'd been swift and hadn't afforded her the opportunity to do so.
Hiding was no problem... It'd been a means of practice for her. To control the energy she released so that she wouldn't become an obvious target for those seeking to go after her. She nodded her understanding to Mitsuoki. If what he was telling her were true then it could mean some form of danger was involved. If this Quincy would see them as an enemy couldn't this be considered a bad idea? "Are you sure it's alright to just waltz right in and demand information like that?" Shiro asked, trying to guess at Mitsuoki's intentions.
"Well... you took in a fox cub even though you said you were forbidden from taking living things with you into Soul Society... I highly suspect you were lonely if you went to such great lengths for Akane." Shiro mentioned the name Mitsuoki had given the fox. It was mostly a tease, but if the Shinigami thought about it he might find a deeper meaning to the girl's words.
Shiro had asked if it was fine to just walk right into enemy territory and ask for info, to which Mitsu had no reply. It was a valid question, be he always worked things out. She had commented about how Mitsuoki had gone through considerable trouble for the fox, even ignored certain laws. "Ignoring the laws of the Soul Society, I will admit to. However, Akane is quite small, so it was as easy as hiding her in my kimono." at the moment, the small fox poked its head out from inside the folds and let out a sharp bark. Mitsuoki gently petted her head, making her tail wag under the cloth. "One of my roommates has taken quite nicely to her, as well. He has assisted me in acquiring the appropriate nutrition."
After a good while of walking, they would reach a house with a garage with multiple doors open, and a woman inside. Thirty seven would nonchalantly walk right up to the bell inside the shop, ring it, and shout "YO!" as though the woman would find that less irritating than the soul reaper right behind him. Mitsuoki would rest his head on his palm while releasing a sigh at how childish his soul candy was, sometimes. The gigai looked at the woman and said "Heeeey! You're kind of cute! Mitsu didn't tell me we'd be visiting a goddess!" Mitsuoki immediately slapped thirty seven up the back of his head. "Would you please refrain from acting in a strange manner while inhabiting my body?" to which the gigai would say "Oh, lighten up Mitsu! I doubt she minds getting a compliment."

Having been leaning over the engine of a customer's car she was currently engaged in, Tanya stood up from her current work to wipe some of the sweat from her face. She glanced over towards the road, having noticed a group of three people approaching. Two of them appeared to be rather normal but she could feel her blood begin to boil at the third visitor. Unlike the other two, this one clearly wasn't physical as he wore the standard Shinigami garbs along with a Zanpakuto at his waist. What the hell is a Shinigami doing here. Tanya thought as she watched with disinterested eyes while the one walked up into her garage and rang the notice bell before boisterously addressing her.
Tanya wore her standard working outfit. A white tee with faded yellow cargo pants and work boots. As for the gloves, she took them off and left them sitting on a bench nearby the vehicle she'd been working on after the one shouted out and tried to. To what? compliment her? What rubbish was this?
"I saw you coming, you really didn't need to do that." She retorted, releasing the hood of the vehicle and allowing it to slam shut. Tanya turned to the three. The two males appeared to be the same person with the exception that the one not being a Shinigami seemed to have a physical body. And the girl? It was small but the girl felt human... And yet she appeared to be accompanying this Shinigami and his apparent body double... Strange.
"Not available. If you're just here to try and hit on me then you can leave." Tanya spoke bluntly in response to Thirty Seven's flirt, a tone of irritation in her voice as she turned to the day's next set of repair jobs. She opted to ignore the Shinigami and the antics playing out in front of her. It fit her character more if she continued on as normal and pretended not to see the spiritual being who was so obviously invading her place. Even if the Shinigami had detected her somehow he shouldn't readily be aware of her Quincy powers. After all, if he sensed anything from her he would think she was human anyway. A logical excuse for ignoring his otherwise phantasmal appearance.
"Woah-ho, Ice Goddess..." thirty seven commented with a light smile. Mitsuoki had chimed in saying "Considering the excess of metal, I believe 'Steel Goddess' would be more appropriate. It is equally cold, given the correct conditions." Thirty seven had shrugged and went to stand next to Shiro while he let Mitsuoki do the talking. "My apologies for him, thirty seven is considerably more playful than he should be. Anyhow, I have business with you." Mitsuoki said the last part quite bluntly.
If Tanya had continued ignoring him, Mitsuoki would say "You cannot continue ignoring me, Nameless Quincy. I have very little to do, so I am perfectly content lingering here." Mitsuoki would say calmly. If she still ignored him, Mitsuoki would then fully enter the shop and begin toying with some of the tools and say "I have seen you training, Nameless Quincy. I also know of your human comrade." The tone would imply a degree of malicious intent when mentioning her human colleague, but, in all reality, he had no intentions of harming anyone at all.
Meanwhile, Mitsuoki continued turning some of the tools while wondering what they were used for. Obviously they were for working with human machines, otherwise, they wouldn't be here; but, he wanted to understand them on a deeper level than just the basics.
Post by Tanya Wyrdhaven on Oct 1, 2018 9:47:16 GMT
What was this exactly? Were they trying to taunt her? If so, they obviously didn't know her very well if they thought these petty phrases would sway her into revealing herself to them... Whatever... Let them try. Not like they were doing anything special to obstruct her right now anyway. Popping open the hood of the next vehicle, Tanya opened a set of tools and placed them over her work zone.
Tanya continued to ignore the Shinigami even as he approached to tell her he had something to discuss with her, his other half retreating back to the girl. This shinigami... she really wanted to know why he'd even come to bother her but asking that would blow her cover completely. She'd have to continue feigning ignorance until he gave up and left of his own accord.
At the mention of her training and the comrade, Tanya paused ever so slightly in her work. Her training? Did he seriously know about it or was he just goading her with a common line used to try and get Quincy to expose themselves? Well that bit might be easily explained away but mentioning a comrade of hers? Did he mean Sasha? No... even that could be a common poke at getting a rise out of her. It was still too vague to tell whether or not he actually knew anything about her...
Lifting her head from her work, Tanya looked over to the other two. They still stood there... Did they want to talk to her too or something?
"Look, if you want to stand around and talk that's fine. But I have work to do right now. If all you want to do is talk with me then come back when the shop is closed." Tanya stood looking at Shiro and Thirty Seven. One arm bent with her hand on hip while the other, holding her current tool, pointed to a sign that indicated the shop's hours of operation.
The girl continued to play dumb. The thing is, Mitsuoki had seen the girls together from afar several times, they had to be closer than acquaintences like him and Shiro. Thirty Seven looked at Tanya with a confused look. "Sorry, Ice Goddess, but Mitsu's the one who wants to talk to ya. I'm just here to keep this adorable little human from lookin' like she's talkin' to herself." the gigai used his thumb to gesture towards Shiro. Mitsuoki had looked in the gigai's direction and said "Thirty Seven, you followed that girl home like I asked before, right?" he asked, to which the gigai said "Uhhh... Yeah. A few times after that, too. Ya thinkin' of payin' her a visit?"
Mitsuoki had originally planned on stopping at just mentioning that he knew where she lived, but he wanted to get the quincy in a corner that she would be forced to push her way out of. "Indeed. This Quincy insists on pretending she is ignorant, so I have little choice but to ask her human friend. Do you suppose I should bring a housewarming gift?" The gigai had caught onto what his shinigami was doing and played along. "It's only polite." he said calmly.
Mitsuoki and the gigai would be nearly impossible to figure. The gigai was calm, cool and collected. He wasn't trying to sound intimidating or suggestive at all, so the speech flowed naturally. At the same time, Mitsuoki had constantly spoken in a calm, cold, and harsh tone that carried the same arrogance as a noble's would. It didn't waver, his eyes didn't flicker, his voice didn't crack, he never got twitchy- it was a perfect facade.
Post by Tanya Wyrdhaven on Oct 1, 2018 10:44:34 GMT
So this Shinigami really did know what she was up to!? What the Hell! Tanya tried to trace her steps to see if there was anything she could have done that might have made her slip up and reveal herself by mistake... She'd even changed around where she'd held Sasha's training sessions at least once every week just to be safe. How the hell did this Shinigami know then? Was he part of their covert ops she'd heard about? Had he used some method of detecting her that bypassed her Godly Veil's ability to cloak her presence? Whatever the problem was she needed to correct it quickly...
Irritation played across Tanya's face as she walked towards Thirty Seven and the girl. Irritation that would have been faked had it not actually been real. Placing a hand on a shoulder of each individual, Tanya guided the two to the outside of her garage. "I've got work I need to finish so if you two would please excuse me..." With the two physical bodies safely outside the shop, Tanya pulled the large garage doors shut with practiced motions.
As soon as the third and final door was shut, Tanya reached up to her neck and pulled the tire-iron shaped trinket off of her neck. Turning on her feet to face the Shinigami, Tanya now stood facing Mitsuoki. Her X shaped Quincy bow now out in the open and fully manifested, drawn, and ready with a Quincy arrow formed and waiting to to be launched. "Tell me why it is I shouldn't kill you right where you stand. Shinigami!" Tanya spat, clear and determined anger rising in her voice.
Mitsuoki had heard Tanya kicking Shiro and thirty seven out of the garage, as well as the sound of her weapon being released. He didn't even flinch at the sound. He didn't hesitate, he didn't even look like he was considering her a threat. Mitsuoki continued to look over the various tools in the workshop with slight interest as to their purposes. She had asked him for a reason for her to not shoot him right then and there, implying that she were going to. To be completely honest, Mitsuoki knew that she wouldn't be able to hit him. The distance was ridiculously short between them, but, Mitsuoki was one of the best at using shunpo in the kido corps and he had an incredible reaction time to boot. However, the reason he stated was not nearly as arrogant as that would sound. He simply said "Barring the fact that releasing that arrow would destroy this structure?" for a reason for her to not shoot. The tone, of course, carried not a single shred of fear of being shot.
If Tanya was still insistent on holding Mitsuoki at bow point and demanding a reason, he would say to her "I would be more inclined to not waste your time, if you were not attempting to threaten a man who is neither afraid nor hostile."
If Tanya had mentioned anything about his people, reminding him of the tension between their two species, Mitsuoki would say in a blunt tone "I am a Soul Reaper, yes. But I am not the Soul Society. Set down that weapon and your grudge for this instance, Nameless Quincy. You shall find no threat coming from me."
Post by Tanya Wyrdhaven on Oct 2, 2018 0:24:58 GMT
"Answer my question...!" Tanya's eyes narrowed, glaring at the Shinigami. She wanted to engage, wanted to be rid of this threat and continue on with her own affairs. But fighting here meant exposing herself, not to mention what collateral damage would be caused to her shop and her home as a result of battling... This truly was a worst case scenario... The Quincy still couldn't quite grasp what had lead up to this moment...
"I've no reason to tolerate your kind! So tell me why I aught to treat you any differently from the rest!" Tanya held her bow steady. Trusting reapers was against her policies. She had plenty of reasons to assume he'd attack the moment she lowered her guard. If her operations had been exposed then all the more reason she should make a stand and eliminate the threat. More importantly though, a contingent of Soul Reapers would have been dispatched to deal with her if she'd already been exposed... So what exactly was this reaper doing here confronting her by himself?
"Bullshit! All reapers work for the Soul Society, and it is that same Soul Society which came into our otherwise peaceful lives and murdered my people!" Claiming to not be the entity to which he himself represented!? What kind of crap was that!? The arrow in Tanya's bow remained in place but grew with intensity as did the rage reflected within the woman's eyes as she continued to face down the Shinigami.
As Tanya had said her last jab at Mitsuoki, the air began filling with a sense of anger from his spiritual pressure increasing. It wouldn't be directed at Tanya, so she wouldn't feel like he were trying to suppress her. His eyes would fill with anger, changing his expression to a scowl. He grabbed his blade and slowly drew it but then immediately turned it to the ground and slammed it down, creating a hole that Tanya would later have to repair. "I am not my kind! I am not some DOG that Yamamoto can sick on whomever, whenever, and whatever he desires! I am my own self! This zanpakuto has killed hundreds of enemies; but, it has never once killed a non-hollow. Never once a bount, nor a human, nor a mod soul, and never once a Quincy. I refuse to take away lives over such petty issues- things that could have been resolved without bloodshed and genocide. I would tear the soul society asunder or die trying before I follow such an order! As my gigai said..." the zanpakuto was lifted and slowly placed back in its sheath "...I came to talk with you- without hostilities."
Outside the garage, thirty seven looked up and around when the black and white lines began raining from above and rising from the ground, as well as the feeling of undirected anger. "Hmmm... She must have struck a nerve. Been a while since he got ticked off..." he would say in a slightly impressed tone.
If Tanya had accused him of threatening to harm her human friend, Mitsuoki would say "I never said I would harm her, I said I would visit her. It is also rude to visit another's home for the first time without bringing a gift. As for thirty seven following her home- it was dark and she was alone. I had recognized her and decided it would be the best way to ensure she arrived safely. Should I be forced to seek her out, I would respectfully ask her the same query I wish to ask you."
"Indeed..." Shiro agreed with Thirty Seven's statement. She hadn't much appreciated getting shoved outside with the doors shut in her face but, whatever was going on inside did not appear to be going well... At first Shiro had sensed an odd presence from inside. It hadn't been Mitsuoki's and it clearly wasn't anything she was familiar with. Was it perhaps the spiritual pressure of this Quincy woman he wanted to talk to? It still felt faint but at the same time it seemed as if something were concealing it somehow... On the other hand, Mitsuoki's spiritual pressure seemed to dwarf the other presence, both visually and on a mental capacity. "I wonder what could be happening in there... was it supposed to be a shouting match?" Shiro pointed to the doors while looking to Thirty Seven. She could faintly hear the voices of the two people behind the closed garage doors. "I mean... doesn't he know any other Quincy who might, I dunno, be more willing to talk to us about this thing he wanted explained or something?" Shiro pondered for a moment before a ludicrous thought came into her head. "Ah! I get it now! Mitsuoki's a M isn't he!" Shiro announced her thought process to Thirty Seven.

An intense rise in spiritual pressure! Tanya backed away from Mitsuoki, though not more than a single step in order to brace herself in case he approached. Her Archery style was far more suited to open areas than this cramped machine shop... Why was it she had chosen to close all the doors knowing this fact... Tanya kept her bow and arrow trained on Mitsuoki, even as he burst out at her in anger.
Tanya's eyes narrowed and become cross, remaining full of anger even after Mitsuoki's words.
"If you honestly say you come in peace then tell me shinigami... Why did you make threats against the people in my life. If all you wanted to do was talk then leave Sasha out of this or so help me..." The Quincy's grip on her bow tightened, yet the intensity of her arrow shrank in her uncertainty regarding Mitsuoki's intents.
After alluding to the fact that he had no harmful intents towards Tanya's comrade she lowered her bow, still manifested but no longer readily aimed at the Shinigami. Irritation still shone on her features but she at least was willing to hear this Shinigami out before making any final decisions.
"What is it that you want from me." Tanya demanded. The question, or demand as it seemed, was void of any pleasantries.
The bow was finally lowered and Mitsuoki was told to tell her what he came here for. While his spiritual pressure had gone down significantly after his loud talking had finished, it had been slightly elevated after. Now that his words had finally gotten through to her and she had been given reason to not attack him, that spiritual pressure had returned to normal once more. Mitsuoki took a seat on a nearby stool and said "That human outside has recently become aware of the true world around her. She is getting physically stronger but is ignorant. I have tasked myself with educating her, teaching her of the world and the beings which she shares it with. However, I have never been so foolish as to think my view of other races, especially the ones that the Gotei have wronged, is correct. I wish for you to tell the human of your people. How did they get their beginning? How did this the conflict between our people begin, from your point of view? Then, I shall do the same from the Soul Reaper's perspective. This will allow her greater understanding. Whether she chooses to fight for you, band with us, or watch from the hills is of no concern to me."
IF Tanya would comment that she'd rather Shiro was uninvolved, Mitsuoki would say "Unfortunately for us all, she is already involved in this conflict, and she never even wanted to be." By then, Tanya would have likely already told Mitsuoki when to come back, which was a couple hours away. Mitsuoki would say "Nameless Quincy, you have my gratitude for helping her. I am Kumagai, Mitsuoki of the kidoshu. Might I have your name?" Once her name was given, if it was given at all, Mitsuoki would say "It is an honor to meet you, Tanya." while giving a respectful bow. He would wait for her to open the door for him so he could leave her before reporting the results to the other two.
37 & Shiro
"To be completely honest, I'm surprised they're bein' as civil as this... Granted, Mitsu's such a strange guy that not many folks would be able to attack him without tryin' ta understand his logic. Still... no fancy s'plosions or arrows flyin' is a sorta good sign, I guess." thirty seven commented after Shiro had asked if it was supposed to be a shouting match.
She had then asked if there was a different Quincy that he could go to, to ask questions and thirty seven gave a light chuckle. "Kinda hard ta make friends with people that're as likely to shoot ya in the face as they are to shoot ya in the chest. Catchin' em off guard like he did's about the only way to keep things from escalating too quickly. Though, normally, they would escalate, regardless."
Not long after that, seconds really, Shiro had asked if Mitsuoki was an 'M' that thirty seven assumed was asking if he liked punishment. Thirty Seven had snickered before saying "I actually think he's more of an 'S' but it wouldn't surprise me if he swung both ways." he then paused and looked down at Shiro with an oddly suggestive expression. "Come ta think of it... He don't talk to no one for more than a couple words. Been gettin' real chummy wicha, ya'know? May wanna keep a pair of pins ready for when the furry handcuffs come out." Which was around the time when the garage door would rise and Mitsuoki would inform them. "We'll need to return at seven, but she has kindly agreed to provision information." Thirty Seven was looking at him with the same look he gave Shiro not long ago and Mitsuoki would say "I apologize, but have I interrupted something?"

Tanya let out a sigh, allowing her own spiritual pressure to return to a level where her Godly Veil could actually conceal it without issue once again. Was that seriously all he wanted from her? To educate an ignorant human on the history of the Quincy and their continued conflict with Soul Society? "She'd be better off not getting involved if she knows what's good for her. But if she really wants to know about us that badly then I suppose I can spare a few moments. But not until after my shop closes at seven. I still have work to do." Tanya's bow was gone now, the trinket lay in her right hand as she lifted it up to point at the Shinigami, indicating that she wouldn't accept any exceptions to her terms. If the Shinigami truly meant what he said and intended no harm, then Tanya suspected he wouldn't press the issue any further as long as she agreed to educate the girl.
"That is unfortunate. Humans have no real purpose getting involved..." So Tanya stated as she reattached her trinket around her neck. The honest truth was that she herself had been recruiting other Quincy and Humans to join the cause for nearly two centuries now. These were thoughts better kept to herself though. The last thing she needed was to risk further confrontation while still conducting covert operations.
"The name's Tanya. And remember. No earlier than seven O'clock." Tanya emphasized the time restriction again before grabbing the handles on the first door and lifting it up.
Once the Shinigami was completely on the other side of the door Tanya let it close again, not caring for the antics that appeared to be playing out in front of her on the drive, though she gave the girl who was with the Shinigami another once over before returning to her work.
"I'm glad I requested a transfer away from this stupid charade..." Tanya muttered to herself after the door was shut again. The shop's doors would remain closed until the security cameras revealed the two physical bodies had moved on, indicating the Shinigami had left as well. Once reopened, the doors wouldn't come down again until closing time.
"Do you really think it should have gone that badly?" Shiro listened closely, trying to pick up any indications on how the conversation inside was going. "I guess surprising someone by showing up at their home would keep them from wanting to cause a big commotion..." The girl commented, noting that this Shop appeared to be structurally attached to the adjacent house.
"I suppose you're right..." Shiro sighed. She was beginning to have doubts about whether she really wanted to know more if all the methods of learning would be like this and result in similar such confrontations. And judging from how this meeting seemed to be going, Mitsuoki obviously didn't appear to know the Quincy personally...
"Fluffy... Handcuffs?" Shiro's eyes moved to intercept Thirty Sevens to confirm whether or not he were serious. Shocked disgust pasted itself over the girl's features in reaction to his suggestive mannerisms. Was he serious? Was Mitsuoki really into that kind of kinky stuff? She couldn't really tell but Thirty Seven's face suggested it!
The doors opened. Shiro started, assuming a wary defensive stance while holding up her hands in front of herself as Mitsuoki's form appeared from behind the opening door. " No way! No how! Not Happening!" Shiro shouted at Mitsuoki. He spouted off a return time and then asked what he'd interrupted. "Nothing!" Shiro quickly stood up properly, whipping her hands to her sides in startled embarrassment. For some reason she started wondering if Mitsuoki had been looking at her or her wrists. Was he trying to gauge what size of fluffy handcuffs to get so that he could use them on her? Shiro's skin began to crawl at the thought and she tried to push it out of her mind but the imagination was already running wild...
