Headhunting

The Gotei 13 have opened their doors to those who wish to join them in the fight against the Wandenreich... There are some however, that the officers of the armies in the Seireitei actively sought out. Enemies of the Seireitei who had also fought the Quincy. One, a defector from the second division, the daughter of the infamous Kisho Haruoe; Emilia. The other, her ally and general, Theocelese, who had nonetheless attempted to broker peace before. The first step was to get to Theocelese. During the attack on Karakura town, Theocelese had taken an interest in Blodeuwen; he hadn't been actively hostile against her in any regard either. She was one of the few Shinigami in the Seireitei who seemed relatively safe to attempt to send, and as such in Oh The Possibilities, she found him in the human world, and invited him to come and join in the fight against the Wandenreich. To her surprise, he accepted there and then and was whisked away back to the Seireitei.

This set the stage for Sui-Feng, who had been monitoring Olympus' activities in the human world, to move in. She found Emilia on her mountain in Change of Heart, and offered her the opportunity to return and parley, along with the revelation that one of her best generals had defected, as well as playing the dangerous gambit of putting the double agent Arashi Byakurai's life on the line. Emilia consulted with her oracle in Decisions, ultimately deciding to, at the very least, return and negotiate.

Meanwhile, the effort of arranging a meeting of captains during wartime meant that Theo was confined to hanging around with Blodeuwen's family, the Hirashis, for a few days. This would be his first opportunity to glimpse life in the Seireitei, to go and meet the people; all while chaperoned by the Soshi of course. The family warmed to him, and he cooked them a veritable feast in At The Dinner Table, providing a brief glimpse into Theo's time with the Hirashi family.

In a stroke of Serendipity, Emilia returned to parlay on the day of the meeting. Expecting her arrival, Taicho Shunsui Kyoraku went to greet her in Welcome 'Home', his old comrade's daughter having showed up at the gates with the potential for peaceable relations between them something he couldn't pass up- as well as being deemed skilled enough to be able to handle her.

This culminated in Armistice, where the relevant parties all came together around a meeting table. The Ryoka laid out their terms and demands and the Captain-Commander compromised with them, willing to allow them freedom, as long as they worked together as allies. In Post-Meeting, the two old allies, once re-united under a new banner find themselves at odds, and have to settle into their new positions. Now Theocelese and Emilia are in Nibantai, and living in the Seireitei...
