A swirling black mass of energy materializes into the street, the wind gushing from its insides like a hurricane as a single black toned leg steps out of a newly forming portal to the Dangai. Foot setting itself into the concrete this 6'5" tall beast looms over the pedestrians caught by surprise from its sudden and cinematic appearance. From the head to foot this beast appears like its brethren with a single difference, out of its forearms, the front and rear a pair of blades protrude like scythes but with one facing forward and one backward up the elbow. Looking up and down the street and opening its mouth a deep growl emanates rumbling down the street, complete silence echoing save for the soft gust of wind slowing up the sidewalks.
So many little souls here...such boring hunt. Perhaps a more interesting beast will show itself with time. For now though i will feed The spirit creature looks at a small group of people sitting in some chairs outside of a coffee shop giving a perfect view of the horrors about to unfold. Lunging forward at them it leads with its arms, slashing its way though the patrons and consuming and left over soul remnants. As people scatter left and right down the street The beast leaps with the power of a lower body much stronger than itself. Landing in front of each person and cutting off their escape first it reviles in the joy of filling the humans with fear.
What's a man gotta do to get a decent coffee these days anyways? Like come on!! Its Karakura Town, Japan after all, everyone's got somewhere to be and yet the one small coffee shop that Corvus decides to offer his money to and the service stinks? Its a wonder why he didn't just lounge back at the King's Den and slurp down a whiskey sour to get his day going. If it weren't for the eye crust he'd just wiped out in the bathroom Corvus would've let em have it. The nerve of these teenagers! How does one fuck up a simple white chocolate latte? Its not like he ordered one of those complex beverages filled to the brim with sugar and syrups that they serve over at the big chain coffee shops. Those things get you so hopped up on a sugar high that you even forget about the caffeine working in your blood. What a day! Nine in the morning and already he was on the verge of ruining someone's shift with his slyly malicious tongue. But instead he snatched his coffee up and took a leak. Face as blank as ever; that man in the mirror was either bored beyond belief or too sleepy to even try and nurse his own hangover. And yet that was his resting face staring back at him as he took a sip from his coffee and made his way back out to the main room of the coffee shop.
The hell? Looks like Corvus wasn't the only one pissed about the service. In the brief time it took him to piss the coffee shop's bland decor hit the crapper. The interior designer figured riddled limbs and blood red was a better look for the place. A slight smirk crept on that disinterested mug of his as he laid eyes on the culprit; black and ugly as ever, chomping on a foot like a drumstick. Another sip of the dull-as-dishwater latte before he lightly sat it on the table beside him and Corvus stretched his arms above his head, letting out a roar of a yawn. A lazy grin slid over his lips as he flicked his left wrist upwards and gripped his Quincy Cross that dangled from a bracelet on his wrist. Corvus sure liked that black suit he had chose to wear but he knew his white dress shirt and pencil thin gray tie were about to get messy. Hell, his black loafers were already getting some sanguine stains from just eyeing the ugly bastard that caused the scene.
As Corvus gripped his Quincy Cross his double-edged axe emerged, the brilliant steel reishi shining in the gentle amber sunlight that peeked through the broken windows. He examined the beast and wore that shit-eating grin like a mask before he spoke up, "If ya didn't like the coffee there's a better spot up the way fella. Guess I gotta deal with ya the only way I know how."
Corvus lightly rotated his arm in a small circular motion and stepped forward as he chucked an axe shaped arrow of reishi towards the beast.
And so it went, body after body fell to the beasts maw. The citizens of the city had no idea what to do but run away, the bloodshed being too much to even leave a passing thought about stopping to help anyone caught by massive black humanoid roaming the streets. Taking its time the beast springs upon an unconscious body of a patron in the coffee shop, its sweet meat distracting it from the screams of a nearby woman who just watches as its fangs rend flesh and sinew from bone and swallow it all whole. getting down to the more gritty portion of the leg the beast begins to gnaw on bone and cartilage, enjoying to the fullest its opportunity to attack and prey as it so chooses.
A flicker of energy from a doorway off to the side of the room makes the beast look up just in time to see a blue white bolt of energy flying straight for it. Moving on more instinct than on training the beast lunges to the side just enough to get caught in the shoulder with the blade of what looks like a thrown energy axe. The cutting edge of this axe catches its flesh, severing it a few inches deep, deep black oozing blood pooling onto the wound. Roaring and leaping backward the beast lands in a three point stance and flings what is left of the leg at the source of his attack. So the stronger have arrived. Feeling its shoulder with its free hand it notes the odd feeling, a feeling of pain, something new to it. Perhaps this prey will not be so over fed, that last one was far too fatty to enjoy to its fullest extent. Leaping sideways and watching his target the beast keeps on the move, darting from location to location occasionally flinging a hunk of rubble the size of a table to keep the human on its toes and waits to see what other tricks that this puny human will pull out of its bag.

Only the face a mother could love, and even that was a bit of a reaching statement. What was this thing anyways? Didn't really have the reiatsu signature of a hollow, and didn't look like one in essence either. No mask, no tells as to what the hell this thing was. But it bled, and that was reason enough for Corvus to deduce that it could die as well. As the beast leapt around chucking rubble, Corvus kept note of the distances and angles at which it jumped. As a table came launched at him, he sidestepped and let it crash into the wall before swinging his arm in a wide arc and launching three arrows, one where the beast currently stood aimed for the chest, one where the beast had just leapt from aimed at the ground, and one a few feet in the opposite direction where Corvus guessed the beast would jump to.
A brief spin off his heel and Corvus let off another wide arced swing of his left arm, this time letting his axe fly, spinning at a rapid rotation towards the wall behind Corvus if the beast chose to try and catch him at the blind spot behind his back. Look at Corvus giving off his best impression of a ballerina with those fancy feet! At the end of his spin, he pivoted of the ball of his foot into a jump to his right toward where the beast had originally stood before he took a chunk out of its shoulder. He tugged on the reishi within his axe and pulled it back to him at a high speed curving it off of whatever surface it would hit from his initial toss into an arced rotation paralell to the wall before returning to his hand. Half of the room was met with some form of Corvus's assault leaving only his original position next to the bathroom open. As he waited to see which attacks connected he plucked three daggers from holsters on his belt disguised behind the flap of his dress coat and held them between his knuckles as he held his left arm free above his head to catch his axe.
First move in a fight is data after all right? And Corvus, for all his lazy demeanor and reserved attitude had made quite the flashy play to collect his data on the strange inky black creature.
Three bright blue arrows impact, one behind and another in front of it, with the third arrow nearly impaling the Dangai spirit in the torso. With a raise of its arm the arrow colides with the side of the bladed protrusion and deflects off over its shoulder. This little beastie is fast. The beast looks at the impressive display of confidence that the human shows as it sidesteps a table flung like a friz-bee. With the grace of a trained professional the human leaps to the side and uses energy to pull the axe from its prior location back to his hand held above its head, the axe taking a wide circular path parallel to the wall. Leaping aside dodge the Axe the Dangai beast connects with the Great Dangai, sharing what it has seen, drawing the power from beyond to become this small human...equal.
With that the Dangai spirit stands, holding its arms out wide at its sides and goes into a similar spin to the Axe wielding human. Leaping forward at the human its style has changed, rather than being a bit more primal in its stance it appears to be upright and confident in its attack. Mid jump the beast begins to spin, its double bladed arms acting like the blades of a blender, flashing and whirring in a blur about it as it appears to tornado towards the human. Should the human dodge to the side the Dangai spirit does not stop its charge but follows through, colliding with the wall behind the human in a cloud of dust and rubble.
After either possibility the dangai spirit rolls away, stopping and rolling up to its feet. Holding out one arm it uses energy in the air to wrap around and lift a hunk of rubble(preferably a frizz-being coffee table) behind the human and pull on it in the same manner that the axe was retrieved although this time in the hopes that the rubble will collide with the blind side of the human.

Thing's got thicker skin than meets the eye huh? It bat away an arrow and ate the gash on its shoulder through gritted teeth. As he hopped to the side Corvus let out a weak sigh and...
What the hell? That spin. That pivot. What the hell?! This beast mimicked Corvus's exact motions and ramped up the ferocity. Any inkling of thought that this creature was a hollow before faded in an instant as Corvus's eyes widened from a half-opened sleepy gaze to an indolent fixed stare examining the creature adapt right before his eyes. To watch a creature of this capability-so fixated on primal urges to feast and destroy-shift so easily into a capable fighter able to mimic movements at such a precise detail threw Corvus for a bit of a loop. The smug grin on his face curved modestly yet distinctly into a genuine smile of astonishment. If he weren't determined to destroy the creature he'd have entertained its efforts with a golf-clap of sorts, praising yet oh so condescending in essence.
As the creature came barreling at him through the air like a cyclone, Corvus hopped back a few feet, leaning back as he did so, before pushing off his back foot. He made a winding motion with his left arm and leaned forward as he gathered a large amount of reishi in the environment, sucking out the reishi he'd used in his previous arrows. By the time his arm swung down in a diagonal motion aiming at the creatures right shoulder down to its left hip, a giant burst of energy lashed out from his axe and blasted out at an enormous speed. The beast still cycloning its way towards Corvus would eat a point blank blast of energy (Tier V) and be eradicated if its speed didn't act as a blessing and allow it to evacuate 50 meters behind linear blast.
After the blast, Corvus stood his ground spinning his axe at a mild speed keeping his wits about him as everything in front of him was blown away and he stood in the remnants of a once middle class coffee shop.
The world around it spins at a blindingly fast pace, so fast that even the Dangai spirit which had initiated this attack was not fully in control of its orientation. All it can see is the occasional flash of blue light as some kind of energy charges from the general direction of its target. Just as the rotations reached their peak a blaze of energy impacts the Dangai Spirit's shoulder. All that power and momentum suddenly were reversed and stopped as the energy overwhelmed it. This was not something that was expected, the reiatsu from the human filling the air. In an instant its shoulder and arms are vaporized along with a good portion of its torso and one leg. All that was left of its attack was the possibility that one of the blades would nick the human dealing insignificant damage.
Falling to the ground the Dangai Spirit thuds with the sound of a limp body. This little beastie is full of surprises. Perhaps we should treat it with a bit more respect. Drawing on energy in the ambient air the Dangai spirit gathers particles that had escaped from the gate it had opened when it entered the human world. Drawing on the energy and condensing all of it into its mangled corpse it fills it quickly depleting reserves faster than it would have been able to use it. Its missing arms reform, a black mist solidifying into its arms and leg rebuilding it in a single moment. The blades on its arms are gone, a black sash tied at its hip with an unusually long blade tucked in it. Pushing off the ground and lifting its head it rolls its boneless neck and stands tall once more. The particles in the area that had fulled its regeneration now gone had served its greater purpose. It was stronger and faster than before, a well of energy that had not been there before now giving the spirit new life.
{Spoiler} As there was no offensive technique used by the spirit the Quincies attack deals full damage to the Dangai Spirit.

Just Trying To Stay Alive
Full of surprises. Just brimming with the unexpected. What a day this turned out to be huh? Corvus had always heard tales of hollow like creatures who'd abandoned their masks for more power, perhaps this was one of those fabled warriors. The old Kings of Koenig were renowned for their prowess in battle and Corvus in his reign had seen a bit of a peaceful era. Not by choice of course. The Shinigami scum had forced Corvus and his family into an unforeseen state of complacent hiding, after the Quincy Massacre their entire way of life changed. Gone were the days of old where the King's Den housed thousands of battle-hardened festive Quincies, into the age of some hundred battle-thirsty Quincy aching for their grandeur to return. It was a difficult pill to swallow but it had to go down all the less. And yet here was this strange creature before him, allowing him to give his blood a boil, his temperature a rise in the thrill of combat. Don't let the lazy demeanor fool, Corvus was pleasingly intrigued. It was time to fight like a true King of Koenig.
As the black blob reformed into a new body after half of it'd been blown away, Corvus noticed a few distinctions in this one. A sword. It seemed far more reserved and composed, the rabid features long gone as if he were faced with a completely new adversary. No matter though. Corvus proved it could be destroyed, he just had to do it more thoroughly this time. Corvus bent his elbow outward and began rotating his forearm, slowly, then faster, ramping up the speed in the rotation of his axe until neither blade was distinguishable in the circular whir, still gripping the daggers in his right hand. He stood waiting for the beast to make its first move. Corvus didn't have anywhere to be, its not like he was in a rush to finish the dreary coffee he'd destroyed. He was more interested in what this creature's new form had to offer.
Truly a time to live in the human world. Slowly reaching over and grabbing the handle of the Zanpakto-esk handle of his sword the Dangai spirit slowly draws its blade, energy pouring out like a torrential tidal wave from its body. Blazing with energy the rubble on the ground shakes slightly then begins to roll away as the waves of energy push on the surroundings. With a swing of its arm slashes the blade through the air, perfect control and balance of its edge. The beasts glowing blue eyes slowly grow, slight emotion showing in its face. Its mouth, closed and unused up till now is slowly splitting open to reveal its maw of glinting white fangs covered in the blood of the humans.
A smile. Not a small one where someone tells a joke and some one laughs but a truly horrendous grin, one of true insanity. Letting loose a roar the Dangai spirit leaps forward, blade out to its right side, left hand out at its side to keep balance. Charging forward the beast slashes inwards with its blade, aiming for the humans neck while the left hand darts out to catch the hand filled with the small daggers. Should the attack be blocked or ducked the beast will continue with its onslaught, slashing and cutting as fast as its arm can its long blade reaching out to catch skin.
Birds of a feather flock together is the saying right? Corvus never really cared for such quaint figures of speech and simply made his own up as he went along, and yet ironically enough the fanciful little quote rang true. That eery smile plastered on the beast's face was one Corvus once sported like a crown. To be so enamored in adrenaline's kiss that one abandons all sensibility; this was the face of a monster, in every meaning of the word. Corvus wore this face when he murdered his beloved years ago, and in true irony, the beast he was to slay displayed the same senseless wanton bloodthirst. But rest assured, there was no contempt. Oh on the contrary! The pleased look of contention on Corvus's face knowing that he and this beast were more alike than meets the eye bore no disdain. The sadness attached to his shame simply fueled his fire and drive to want to see this beast eradicated.
After the beast roared out, Corvus began compressing a bit of reishi on his heels and snatched up a small tube of silver into the palm of his hand clutching the daggers. As the beast leapt forward, Corvus lightly tossed the vial in front of him and tossed one of the daggers through it, shattering the vial revealing the liquid within as well as aiming the thin dagger between the beast's eyes. As the liquid splashed freely in the air it convulsed and expanded into a smokescreen. As Corvus pushed off the reishi at his foot, he launched into the air some fifty meters away, careening through the air like a bat out of hell until he'd reached a tall building looking down at the warzone in the distance. Corvus wasn't shy of the creature but the ruptured coffee shop and surrounding area was proving to get a bit cramped and Quincy after all were marksmen by nature.
His landing couldve proved a little cleaner as he came crashing onto the roof of a building. He banged up his shoulder a little but it was nothing he couldnt power through. In any case there was something he'd been wanting to try anyways. Axe still spinning, he noted the sound it made as it whirred at a blinding speed, the double-edged nature indiscernible from the speed of the rotation. It was almost as if the steel was producing sound from simply spinning. Corvus wasn't really one for science but the idea struck him. If his axe could make such a noise casually, then why not use the concept in a more direct application. He gave a flick of the wrist and halted the rotation. He collapsed his axe into a single sided weapon, rotating one blade to be parallel to the other and locking it in static position. He kept his wits about him, unsure if the beast was trailing him and tried to speed up his experiment. He formed an arrow, as easy as breathing, in the shape of the blade and tried rotating the arrow at such a speed that it could also produce sound. A gradual whirring sound began to build up, low and slow, almost in a growl as Corvus anticipated the beast tracking his movement and another inevitable face off. The whirring continued to build up but remained a low thick tone. Corvus fired off the arrow haphazardly into the rubble fifty meters away hoping to attract the beast if not hit it. After all, whats an experiment with no test subject.
The smaller motions of drawing a small vial and filling it with energy is missed by the dangai spirit, its attention drawn to the spinning blade and the humans stance. With a flick of its arm the human throws the blade, a spinning vial in front of it getting shattered and detonating with a massive cloud of smoke hiding the human from view. Darting thru the cloud and erupting with blade mid swing the slash of its Zanpakto like blade cuts through the torso of the human or at least where it was just a moment ago. Stopping on a pin and spinning around the Spirit looks to the roof where the sound of the spinning blade drew his attention. Leaping in a similar fashion to the human the body of the dangai spirit leaps in the same way that a Shinigami uses its flash step in the same direction that the sound is coming from.
The sound, suddenly instead of being far away, is now approaching. The sound, reminiscent of a buzz saw is the bright blue spinning blade of an Axe. With a swipe of its blade the axe is knocked aside the spirit not slowed in its approach. Skidding to a stop on the roof the Spirit rolls to a stop and darts forward, blade swinging fast and widely at the head of the human. Every time the blade hits something solid the doubles back and hits at that same exact spot once more before aiming for a new spot, be that solid spot a parrying blade or the body of the human. The black body is plain, the central focus of its body being the glinting fangs in the mouth as its insane grin grows wider and wider nearly touching its ears at its edges.
Damn!! The speed on this thing, he was planning for it to be nipping at his heels but this was less chihuahua and more pittbull in terms of ferocity. With ferocity comes carelessness. And of course as the beast came darting forward with a wide arced swing, Corvus read through the motions as best he could and reacted swiftly. He hopped back to create more space before leaning back and ducking in a spinning motion, chucking his spinning axe from his hand at point blank range aimed to lop the beast's legs off. No doubt in his mind they'd regenerate since the pesky fuck had demonstrated the capacity prior. Accordingly, Corvus summoned his axe back to hack through the beast's midsection, curving back a few feet after it'd blown past it, hardly loosing any of the momentum from the initial toss.
And it hit him, in the spur of the moment. Sure he had more prominent matters to worry about but it was a stinging thought. He shouldn't have focused on rotating his arrows at high speed. No no, that was a snail's pace compared to what he wanted to achieve. If physics class back in primary school had taught him anything, its that rotations and oscillations can only achieve so much, vibrations were where it was at. Corvus promptly tossed the remaining 2 daggers in his hand with upward force, hoping to lob them into the beast's head before planning a dash past it. As he saw his axe curve backwards, he loosened the bond between him and his weapon so it would fly past him as he compressed some reishi on the roof beneath his foot, pushed off and dashed quickly at a low angle past the beast, trading places with his axe. As he skid back to face the beast and heard his axe pass him by, he pre-emptively shifted the rotation into a violent vibration at such a point that the reishi particles were nearly unstable. He maintained the solidified edges as to maintain the form of his axe and as it passed him by his vision began to blur. A high pitched ringing like a banshee's call pierced the air and as he skid to catch his balance a few feet past the beast he knew the shrill pitch wouldn't just be a slap to his own senses but the shadowy creature's as well.
Corvus formed an arrow from his hand alone as he summoned his axe back to him aiming to slice through the beast once more. The arrow in his hand was standard issue and he hoped to aim it towards the dagger that would fly into the air, had his previous attempt missed, and ricochet the daggers right back down to pierce the beast once more. If his plan were to work out accordingly, the black blob would be looking like diced onions before it had enough time to reform its parts.
Once more the shirring sound approaches from behind, closing distance quickly. Sidestepping the Dangai spirit evades slightly to the right, not so much as to throw his attack off balance or change his trajectory but enough to get the axe that would have been able to hit its legs to make a glancing blow, slashing into its left thigh about an inch. Fast little human thinks that it can out smart us? I will shred you into a thousand tiny pieces and feed on you in a hundred tiny meals. Raising its left arm the small dagger speeding at its head sink into the Dangai Spirit's arm stopping about half way into the arm. Raising the blade straight over head the spirit slashes straight down, the blade impacting the ground just behind the human creating a crevice where the blade crushes through the roofing.
Having past him the axe spins back like a boomerang on a wild head hunt it spins with such speed and vibrates with the Reishi that the human injects into it so quickly that it screeches like an unholy monster. Ignoring the sound the beast slashes, slamming its blade upwards into the flying axe and sending it careening into the sky. With a clock wise spin the Dangai Spirit darts in the direction of the human its right arm using the momentum of the rotation to make the blade whip around faster than mundane eyes would be able to follow.
Armed with what appears to be some kind of small blue energy blade the human appears disoriented, the perfect opening for the Dangai Spirit. Slashing forward the human's mid section is sure to be severed in two unless it darts backwards but even then it seems like there is little hope for it to escape without any wounds. After the slash the Spirit darts backwards, creating a little space so that the human can regain its bearings. While yes it would be best to kill this annoying human in as short a time as possible The Spirit cannot help but feel like it wants to drag this out a little longer. Maybe it was blood lust or perhaps it was the mentality of its mirror self leaking into its fighting style but either way the Spirit watches the human and uses the blade of its psudo-zanpakto to break off the blades of the daggers in its arms.
...but do not fret for soon you will be one of us.

So much for flair. All it got him was a ringing in his ears and another set of issues. As he saw his axe fluttering away into the sunset, he saw the maddened toothy smile of a demon closing in on him. Quincy were never without their tricks though. He sucked a vast amount of reishi from the surroundings and blasted them back into the area until the surroundings were so condensed with reishi that the black beast, clearly not versed in the art of reishi manipulation would be weighed down by the thick veil. This was the beauty of Kujo, the expulsion of reishi. Oh wait! Duh Corvus, use your noggin. You're a king of Koenig for crying out loud. As he expunged the reishi out into the atmosphere, he added a secondary layer of reishi coating to protect his ears from the shrill banshee arrows, he was planning on reusing. Clutch timing considering what he was about to do next.
As the black humanoid tried to slash at his midsection, he would see the beast get hampered down by the dense reishi and slow down enough to leap high into the air and grab his axe. He formed a large barrage of about twenty arrows, each one crying out like a siren, to rain down on the beast.
A wide grin formed on his face as he held the gnashing creature in front of him. The killer inside him was giddy and he matched the primal viciousness of the black beast. To unload such a fierce attack, Corvus rarely saw the opportunity that required it arise. Often times he was too bored with the situation to deem it worthy, yet here was a worthy opponent, worthy of getting sliced and diced. Swiss cheese never looked so good.
Name: Kujo (Expulsion) ** Class: Reishi Technique Type: Defensive Tier: III Range: 25 Meter Radius Description: A simple defensive technique in which a short area around the user has its reishi tampered with for two posts, so that the spirit particles become extremely dense and heavily weigh down anyone else who comes within range, allowing them to make a quick escape or get a free shot in. Opponents suffer a x2 decay in their overall Speed and maneuverability when coming into range of this effect.
A blast of white smoke filled with Reishi gathered from the surrounding atmosphere detonates with enough for to make the beast slow, if just for a fraction of a second. Filling the air it grinds against the Dangai Spirits body, its black muscles straining against the water like smoke. Cutting into the space that the human was just a moment ago its blade finds open air, the white smoke parting for just a moment.
Above the beast more Reishi gathers, the sensation similar to when the human fired off the trio of arrows at it during its previous life. Looking Up the Dangai Spirit see's the outline of the human in the sky, its Axe in hand and blue light forming in one hand it fires off a barrage of arrows down. Leaping upwards the Dangai Spirit slashes left and right, cutting arrow after arrow out of the sky while arrows that it misses drive into its body sticking out like a pin cushion.
Slashing its way through the arrows and now clear of the smoke the beast reaches out to grab the humans leg, connection permitting, it spins around at a blinding pace and hurls the human straight down into the roof of a nearby building. Either way, miss or not, the beast then charges into the assault by closing distance and slashing at a blinding pace, its increased power and speed from its mirrored counter part making it more than enough to out blade play the human in just seconds. Every chance it see's the Dangai Spirit thrusts with its blade tip, each opportunity to skewer its prey not passing by unnoticed. Any time that the human gets close enough the Spirits hand darts out to grab at the humans wrist and hold it close, not letting it get its distance back again.

Geez pal, ya still lookin a bit sluggish there. The Kujo's radius expanded into a dome like shape from where Corvus initially expelled the veil. To watch the beast grit its teeth as it tanked a few arrows was off=putting to say the least. What was this damn thing made of? Corvus was running on reserve strength for the moment and had but a few tricks left up his sleeve. He shot a couple more arrows to try and bait out the beast's chase and right after the arrows, Corvus tugged on the remaining reishi in the surrounding, sucking away the veil that was used for Kujo into another ferocious blast (Tier V). Sucking away the Kujo gave the beast a slight speed boost to close the gap on Corvus but this was according to his plan. As he saw the beast speed up with full intent on offense, Corvus would unleash another point blank ferocious attack, this time in a wide arc to limit escape as well as cover his defensive options. The recoil blowback from the blast would also propel Corvus further away and higher into the air away from the beast. He was growing weary of the creature's resilience although his fighting spirit grew fiercer.
And then it was free, the smoke in the area clearing releasing the Dangai Spirit to move at full speed. Arrow after arrow fly through the air a quick swipe of the blade hacking them away. The human was on the defensive and was now no longer able to defend itself, its options dwindling quickly. Confidence thrives in the Dangai Spirits action, following through with its motions, its behavior getting more and more aggressive. Reaching out the Dangai Spirits hand is nearly on the human, the game over. All around it the world fades, the blue motes of light flashing past it completely outside of its notice.
Just as the hand touches the human, the human counters, a level of ferocity that was unexpected. A blast of blue white energy, hot as the sun engulfs the spirit and burns away its outer layers in an instant. Its form crumbles, the combination of the Axe attacks and the Arrows ripping away at its reserves of energy. Expelling power at this rate was exhausting the Spirit and leaving it unable to stay in combat for long periods of time. This style of fighting, mirroring the Shinigami in its companions fight, should have depleted the spirit long before. Some thing was not as it seems with the shinigami. The Spirits body slowly falls, its grip on the leg of the human releasing as it falls to the earth, turning to black particles of energy to be scattered to the wind.

Just Can't Stay Sober Now
Just Trying To Stay Alive
Finally. A finale worth celebrating. If he could celebrate that is. Corvus was exhausted to say the least and although he felt power welling up deep in his core, he knew he had overexerted himself to say the least. And he should be proud! Who else can kill the same thing twice in one breath. It was like the stereotypical video game final boss, except he was certain there was more of its kind lurking about, waiting to ravage the city.
His lazy crazed smile remained painted on his lips as he lazily plummeted to the ground. A few hundred feet drop? No problem. a flick of the wrist and he formed a few layers of reishi to help slow him down and soften the blow as he hardened his blut to help mitigate some of the damage. Too tired to care about the daredevil freefall. He was too high on adrenaline. And? Boom. A resounding crash like a falling star he landed in more rubble from the part of town he'd blown away in his endeavour with ole tall dark and downright creepy. A slight exhale and he lay there ready to nap as he dissipated his spirit weapon away and clutched the Quincy cross that remained in it stead.
