IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Kaiyo was no stranger to random meetings without background checks. She was a busy girl with a company to run and a life to live. So seeing a coffee meeting first thing in the morning was not a surprise or much trouble for her. However as a CEO she was a bit to careless from the view of most people. Firstly she never cared about people’s backgrounds or track records, the second, she only did face to face meetings, and the third was she never went somewhere with bodyguards. Dark orchid hair swaying slowly in the morning breeze as Kaiyo enjoyed the flowers as she approach the spot to meet.
She was a bit early, having no meetings to attend before this one, or any directly after she did not feel all that pressured to rush things and could fully relax. She felt the cold stones under her bare feet as she approached in her everyday dress, a pair of shorts under it to avoid any inappropriate moment with the wind and the fact it was cut to her waist on the outsides of her legs. Red eyes scanned the area as she sat down on a bench with a willow tree behind her. The branches hiding her face from the light as she yawned and waited for anyone that seemed to be looking for someone despite the rather scarce area.
Gage was not new to this world, his eyes always scanning for something fresh or interesting. It was only by chance that he happened across the client that he was next hoping to woo into work. It has been over two months of quiet mayhem after the 'Fall of Karakuratown' and his funds were beginning to run dry. He needed the money, the work to tide him over so that maybe he could make some progress in his most recent failures in the R/D side of his life. Since the 'Fall' he has refused to go to work for his old company of simple pay for hire merc group and has instead started peddling his name as a high end, extremely skilled 'get the job done' employee. He lacked book keeping skills, as shown from his failure of his repair shop, or any other real 'office' skills but he was not above attempting of the work if the money was good.
For the first show of face Gage was punctual, walking up on the bench where she was sitting at with a full ten seconds to spare. Her face, hidden by the gently billowing branches of a willow tree, popped into view every few seconds with the vibrant red eyes catching his attention almost immediately. "Mam, Nice to finally meet you." Gage walks through the branches, a small gust of wind catching the branches in just the right way to let him through without being touched.

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Kaiyo looked over to the side when she heard a voice. Her mouth staying closed for the moment as her nose slightly twitched as she took in the scent. ”Punctual, yet at the same time your aura is offsetting me. You seem to have the aura of both beast and human. Bad childhood?” Kaiyo’s fangs lonely shown when she spoke the word ‘beast’ but after a small smile as she offer the seat beside her. Her focus was left to watch the branches of the willow tree more than the person beside her. It was not hard to get a read on her aura. She gave of that ‘Im out of your league’ vibe while mixing in a small amount of ‘my time is precise don’t waste it.’ And ‘I don’t do touching.’ Mostly the last if he tried to sit to close to her on the bench.
”I’ll get to the point sir, what reason did you call for a meeting with me?” Her voice was rather cold, but at the same time held that slight curiosity. The back of her mind trying to find out why she smelled hollow on this male, yet he looked nothing like the beast she grew to know over her centuries on this earth. ”Maybe the hollows have evolved to blend in with the livestock they seem to hunt. It would be a wise evolution choice since their hunters also look human. But that scent gives them away in a crowd.” Kaiyo moved her hand to her nose, the hollow scent still not something he liked to smell.
For the most part, the only scents others would smell was the flowers, freshly brewing coffee, and a light lavender coming off Kaiyo’s hair. Shifting her focus to the coffee stand for a moment as she looked at the time they would be opening. ”I’m also curious, as to why you would call someone that looks younger then you mam.” Kaiyo’s voice held hostility, her cheeks puffing up like a child, while at the same time her eyes said she was happy to get some respect on a first meeting for once. Her last meeting went south as the investor laughed and said this was not preschool with fake money. A flash of his corpse in her mind dragger her back to a slight relaxed stare as she watched the willow some more.
”Punctual, yet at the same time your aura is offsetting me. You seem to have the aura of both beast and human. Bad childhood?”
Gage was not one to talk about his past but he was professional and if the client wants to know then you tell them. Regardless of whether or not it was a bit inconvenient. There were only two things that you keep from a client, one being things that would put them in jeopardy and the other being personal information. No use getting attached to someone in this kind of work. Money was money and pay made sure that everyone went home happy. Emotions would only play a bad role in that life style.
"You could say that. I can't recall the last time that I was referred to as a beast though," Gage's outfit was well fit, a black suit with a plain black tie. His jacket and pants matched perfectly, his shoes shined to a mirrors image. Even over his eyes he has a pair of thin rimmed sunglasses that were dark enough to hide his eyes from this woman's piercing red stare. Gage quietly took the seat beside her while keeping a respectable half arms distance away. She was young, too young to be a human that inherited her place in the company, along with the sweet scent of a hollow on her body half mixed with her lavender perfume.
”I’ll get to the point sir, what reason did you call for a meeting with me?” Gage takes off his glasses, slipping them into his breast pocket on the inside of his jacket. "I’m also curious, as to why you would call someone that looks younger then you mam." His eyes were brown, his stare cold and emotionless, a calculating look always aware of the surroundings. "Where I am from Mam is a sign of respect. Age should have no indecation of that, just behavior and stature," Gage was telling the truth, his life out in the 'wild west' of Texas had taught him the rights and wrongs of meeting someone in person and how you are supposed to treat them. "I have a business offer for you. From what I have learned of your company you have room in your ranks for someone who has been up and down the streets of the spiritual worlds and have met the being from both our worlds and theirs," leaving the 'theirs' vague enough to imply that he was talking about Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. His offer didn't really imply what his role in the Company would be but he was confident enough to go out right and state that he was more than just another black tie member of the world.

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
If the male wanted Kaiyo’s attention his last reply to her question got it hooked quickly. Eyes moved to focus on him now as her mind tried to pick at this new information. ”In all my years living, not once have I heard the term of other worlds and spiritual in close company to each other.” She showed a fang in her smile as she leaned back in her seat and moved her hand away from her nose, now slightly used to the hollow scent on the male. Legs kept beside each other as she moved her hands to rest on her lap. ”What type of position are you looking for sir … Forgive me.” Kaiyo slowly rose out of her seat before doing the age old tradition that accompanied any proper introduction change she got.
Right arm folded at her waist, left leg slightly sliding back as she bowed her head. Her left arm kept at her side while right slightly knelt down. ”My name is Kaiyo S. Noah. CEO of Noah arc Inc. pleasure to meet you sir.” With her introduction spoken in her best adult voice and proper tone she raised her head and moved to sit back down. Red eyes glowing with a bit of excitement that she managed to do the introduction without falling on her face for once. If Gage wanted to call her out on anything it would have been the slight squeak in her voice when she said Inc. and how she held her ‘eas in Pleasure’ a bit to long.
Her right hand clicking against the armrest, the sharp nails leaving a slight mark from her clicking as she was excited and had trouble not doing such action when this sort of thing happen. ”It would happen a few spots have been opened in the company as of recently. An odd event seemed to have made a few people quit or retire on short notice.” Kaiyo did not know the full story, but a few of her employs had been killed in a spiritual incident in karakura and she did not want to admit such just yet. But she knew she was going to take part in funding the rebuild so she had a spot in the spiritual center city of japan.
”In all my years living, not once have I heard the term of other worlds and spiritual in close company to each other.” Gage could feel her gaze shift and turn on him but he did not look. It was getting close to that moment where he would have to hook her or lose her as a client. Her hand moved away from her nose, either the sneeze that she was holding in fading or her acute sense of smell adjusting to his 'beast' like scent. A soft buzzing in his pocket notifies him that his phone has a message, most likely from his last client, confirming the payment of his prior job. ”What type of position are you looking for sir … Forgive me.”
"Mechanic. My name is mechanic." Gage only really over introduced himself by his last name for business and when he does it tends to make his employers realise that he likes his privacy, even though it happens to be his real name, only misspelled slightly.
”It would happen a few spots have been opened in the company as of recently. An odd event seemed to have made a few people quit or retire on short notice.”
"I am not looking for a full time position, my line of work tends to be a bit more sporadic than most people would like for a full time income." Gage pulls a black card out of his breast pocket and hands it over to her, the sharp and hard as steel nails that she was using to leave little divots in the bench taking the card. On the front of the card a single gear with twelve cogs is set, the word Mechanic set in gold lettering. The only other thing on this card would happen to be on the back, a phrase in italicised gold lettering. 'Problem Solver' "I have a wide array of skills, the most common one in use currently being retrieval but I do delivery and protection when the time arises."

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Kaiyo took the card slowly before placing it in her left sleeve. Her ears moving slightly as she heard the sound of metal gate rising around the area of the coffee stand and her focus quickly moved to see if her hearing was not fooling her. As the metal arm of the owner pushing a wooden window frame out was enough for Kaiyo to jump off her seat and start walking over to get coffee it seemed. However Kaiyo knew this coffee shop much better than most, mostly because she was hell bent on buying it. Tip toes tapping on tiles as she walked over to get there first in line.
Hands placed to the counter so she could pull herself up a bit to see eye to eye with the owner of the shop. His right arm sending a few dull sparks before he hit it with a metal coffee pot and seemed to fix the problem. Gray eyes looked downward, his head almost at the top of the stand at six feet as he grinned lightly. ”Well if it ain’t Kaiyo, I’ll tell you again, ain’t selling my shop to you, but I’ll sell you coffee like always.” His deep voice had a hint of defining trait like an old soldier long since retired. Kaiyo puffed her cheeks up before letting herself lightly fall back to the ground.
Her left hand pulling out her credit card from her right sleeve and handing it to the old man who swiped it across his arm before handing a large cup of coffee to Kaiyo with his human arm. ”Try not to throw it at a customer today please Kaiyo.” The tone was dead serious as Kaiyo moved to a seat near the shop and sat down happily. A moment later a tray would spin out from the stand landing at the table for Kaiyo, a jar of sugar and half a gallon of creamer. A smile crossing her face as she began trying to open her coffee cup.
As if he didn't say anything she abruptly stands, not responding or acknowledging his comment in any way. Walking away she starts for some coffee stand opening its doors to the world. It was not too different from any coffee stand that he has seen save for the one armed man inside that had a hint of discipline in his behavior. He had served somewhere at some point, his eyes happy and welcoming to the business but not overly joyed as he has seen or done some things in his life that he either regrets or he is still in some kind of pain, physical or mental. The young woman walked away, her toes skirting across the ground clicking on the stone floor. Standing he straightens his jacket with a snap and waits by the bench. Caffeine was not his thing, the feelings of an artificial high being more of a detriment than a boon.
Well I suppose she was less interested than I thought she would be. Writing his phone number down to his disposable cell he tosses it on the bench while she orders her coffee and pays. Taking a single Bringers Light step he vanishes, faster than she would have been able to hope to see and farther than her senses would have been able to track. He was gone in a flash, perhaps if she got some work for him she would give him a buzz, letting him know what she wanted.

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
It was only a few hours after she had picked up the phone number that she called up the male. ”Rather rude to leave a little girl alone and not even buy her coffee. I have a job for you, in the garden where we meet there is a graveyard you can find me there.” A simple spoken message to voicemail or towards the male before she hung up without giving him much chance to say anything. If he did arrive quickly he would find Kaiyo happily sipping her coffee while sitting on a grim reaper statues extend arm. Her dress neatly folded to hide her shorts for the most part as she kept looking at all the graves.
A slight turn of her head when he got passed the gate and into her scent range, it was only a few feet from her seat but it should give the picture she was rather alert from her coffee now. ”Have you ever walked through a graveyard, just to read the names of the dead? See who recently left them anything for the afterlife? I had one day I walked through this graveyard and found something truly rude.” Kaiyo slowly slide off the statue, some sort of wire letting her slowly reach the ground so she could feel the grass between her toes as she giggled lightly before coughing and looking serious again.
”A grave wrote ‘Here rest a dumbass, wait you’re not resting here never mind.’ It was truly rude. After a bit of searching, I found out the grave was a cover entrance to a lab working on a sort of hollow powered weapon. Would you, with your skill set be able to get in and destroy everything dealing with the blueprint? Without being noticed?” Kaiyo took the last sip of her coffee before walking towards the exit gate. ”If not then guess I don’t need you today, and your skill set will need to looked over when I have time in my schedule.” Kaiyo walked past the male before meeting with a man in a gray suit and top hat and turning to dust along with the man.
Gage slides his call button over on his phone, closing the screen to his angry birds game and answering the call,"Rather rude to leave a little girl alone and not even buy her coffee. I have a job for you, in the garden where we meet there is a graveyard you can find me there.” Closing the phone call when she is done speaking Gage grins slightly. Work is work. Walking over to his chair and grabbing his clean jacket out of his closet he slips it on, popping the collar when it is all the way on. He looked sharp, like a man that spent his time protecting senators or working for some government agency. The trip to the graveyard that she called from was short, only taking a couple of minuets by stepping distance.
Appearing in front of the front gate of the graveyard with a green circle of Soul Communication energy emanating from his feet he starts forward, his face still covered with the thin framed glasses. Pulling them off he looks around. He couldn't remember for the life of him when the last time was that he was in a graveyard, probably when his father died, the funeral being the last normal thing that he has done in a long time. Far ahead the Mam was sitting, her red eyes staring ever so intently, another cup of coffee in her hands. It was where she was sitting though that was most disconcerting, a large grim reaper statue looming over her with one arm extended.
”Have you ever walked through a graveyard, just to read the names of the dead? See who recently left them anything for the afterlife? I had one day I walked through this graveyard and found something truly rude." Hoping off the statue she lands on the ground with an unearthly slow speed, her feet digging into the soil of the graveyard grass. ”A grave wrote ‘Here rest a dumb-ass, wait you’re not resting here never mind.’ It was truly rude. After a bit of searching, I found out the grave was a cover entrance to a lab working on a sort of hollow powered weapon. Would you, with your skill set be able to get in and destroy everything dealing with the blueprint? Without being noticed?” Drinking more coffee and heading towards the gate she leaves, heading out the exit gate the way any normal would have walked. ”If not then guess I don’t need you today, and your skill set will need to looked over when I have time in my schedule.” Crossing paths with another man, a grey suit with a top hat being his outfit, she vanishes in a twirl of dust, the wind carrying away the last evidence that they were there.
"Right. Odd one that girl," She was more than meets the eye, her behavior and speech pushing her towards being a Bount but he has not seen a Bount that was so young, each one being a bit older and more physically developed. But what did he know? He was not a Bount expert and his opinion was just that, an opinion and it was his job to keep them quiet until it was necessary to share. Raising one foot Gage taps it on the ground, a green circle of energy emanating from the contact, spreading through the ground in all directions like a 'sonar ping'.

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Kaiyo would reappear a few blocks away on the upper floor of a building. Her toes lightly tapping across the granite floors as a few guards rose to attention when the say the man following her. A set of armor sentinels moving to open the only door down the hallway revealing a main offices with a window overlooking the graveyard. The sides of the room set up with a portable tech team with security feed of the lab Kaiyo already had her sights on. ”Well then Mechanic, Let’s see just how far you can get shall we?” Her voice much colder as she grinned lightly and sat in the large chair behind the desk before spinning to face out the window.
The graveyard looked normal, and the grave Kaiyo had mentioned was not exactly ‘hidden’ among the other graves. Seven rows forward, three graves to the left was the clean silver stone in question. Outside being the cleanest grave the area had no offerings on the ground, and looked more like a metal slap then stone. As for what might be sensed underground was a steel ladder six feet under that went down another ten feet through a black cement tube. From there it was a tight spiral staircase down forty feet before a cast iron door with a keypad beside the door.
But the most focus from Kaiyo was just how the male would enter the lab below. She assumed he might be a brute and just try to slam through the ground at the foot of the grave only to meet metal under the grass and some dirt. If he looked closer at the writing in the grave, a slight chance to notice the pen tip sized button was set in the ‘I’ of ‘resting’. If he chose to take that route and go down the stairs the keypad was a different story. Or he could just dig down anywhere else a good fifty feet before entering the maze below. Kaiyo waited for his next action.
His 'eyes' saw all, the metal wiring leading up the middle of the headstone a small button poking its way out the top of a letter I. He saw the metal plating underneath his feet, the earth covering the metal plates with perfect discretion. It was what was underneath that though that caught his attention. A maze of a building seemed to stretch on under the floor. Well this is a test if I have ever seen on in my life. Walking over to a mildly clean grave, free of flowers or even other decorative offerings he stops, his hands clasped in front of his body, his eyes scanning the grass of the grave. Tapping his toe on the ground a small surge of electricity flows into the soil surging forward to the headstone.
Flowing up through the stone it hits the button, activating the door that would lead into the ground. Gage was not a baby to this world and she would see that soon. He was dangerous in ways that no one of his 'caliber' could comprehend. Perhaps if they had the same amount of experience and training as him they would know but that was unlikely. Hopping down the hole Gage lands at the base of this thin concrete tube and descends a narrow spiraling staircase into what looks like a maze, spinning its way around until finally coming to a stop at the base floor. Snapping his fingers he creates a small spark, flaring its way into a large single torch, illuminating the entire place where he landed. "Well well well, what do we have here?"

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Someone truly interesting had found their way to Kaiyo this time around. Her seat spinning as she watched a screen rise from the desk giving her sight of the male she tasked with the job. If he could tell where signals went small black circles seemed to lead to a building aboveground, while another system seemed to lead deeper underground. But that was just a small matter if he had the time, footsteps slowly approached his location. A set of three, two fairly lightly then the third set. A group of guards, two lightweight armor, while the third was set up heavy, each armed with stun guns and flashlights drawn.
Kaiyo made it easier for Gage, having one of her men take out the main building power so they only could divert power to the more vital things, aka not the lighting of the hallways. Gage had two paths already open to him, going around the corner to meet the group, or the door to his left side. Inside he would find it just a simple janitor closest, with a uniform but no sort of keycard or keys. Kaiyo was generous, but not that nice. A small smile crossed her face as she waited for his choice. Now if he was like a brute, he could just go right down to the bottom level that seemed to be repelling any type of detection of the floor, but it was all his choice in the end.
__--__
Back top side however Kaiyo was not going to be able to fully focus on the male as her phone started to ring. ”I thought I told you not to call me professor …” – "I know that miss Noah but we have a big problem … They noticed something was wrong with the machine…” Kaiyo rubbed the bridge of her nose slowly. It seemed her plan to buy time was not as much as she would have hoped for. It was also only a matter of time before things went south more. She needed to move fast.
Looking up and down the hallway Gage looks around, tapping the toe of his right foot on the ground once more to get a second look of the maze, a green 'ping' laying out his immediate surroundings. A group of tree approach, snuffing out his torch so as not to draw too much attention he heads to a small closet just off to the side. A test is a test and it was his job to follow the directions. Dipping into the closet he touches the handle behind himself, locking to door from anyone's access to the room. The feet get closer when someone's hand tries the handle, jiggling it to see if they can get in. Gage couldn't hear the voices clearly but someone out there most definitely said the word 'key'. Frowning Gage holds the handle, waiting for the sound of a key in the lock.
Flicking the doors lock with one finger he sends a small spark of green electricity out to snap the key off at the grip. It was a small move, something simple enough to get them annoyed and ready to leave. Curses and complaints outside about how someone was 'constantly breaking things' is all he can make out before they head off, presumably to let someone know that they broke the key in the door handle. Looking around the room he finds himself a single outfit, a janitor's outfit, plain enough for him to walk around unnoticed. Slipping the onesie on he grabs a cart, safety yellow all over.
"Just do what the job entails." Stepping out into the hallway again Gage pushes the cart, pulling his necklace out of his pocket and putting it on. It was a simple invention that he made, based on the terrify ability that Hollows seemed to have. It put off Gage's energy in such a way that if anyone were to see him they would not be able to look directly at him as they feel 'uneasy' with looking at something that their instincts tell them to avoid. Down the hall he goes.

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Kaiyo truly had her hands tied now that she got that call from her one man inside the building. If she made one wrong step everything was going to go to hell and her progress would be lost. Chair sliding back as Kaiyo stood up and began walking towards the door, dust surrounding her as she appeared inside the lab near Gage. The man who got her in vanishing as Kaiyo sighed and moved forward. ”Change of plans, I need you to find a man in a lab coat and keep him safe. He stands out like a sore thumb among middle fingers.” Kaiyo’s tone was tense as she moved forward into the view of a group of security.
”Oh no I got found out!” The monotone anti-climactic reveal as the guards began chasing her down a different hall and giving Gage a clear shot for a bit. The place did not seem to have any type of stairs all the way down or elevator. Just narrow halls and no doors. It was the best security the man in charge of the place could get without sending red flags to most but Kaiyo never trusted people who talked back to her at a meeting. To the far side of the floor from the entry was the stairwell down to the next floor, and with it more security and cameras.
__--__
Kaiyo was enjoying herself with the task of drawing attention away from the fast route through the first floor. Toes tapping across the cold time floors or the walls at some points as Kaiyo moved to get all the guards on her tail for the floor. She could not help but laugh as one tried to use a stun gun on her only to hit their fellow guard. Then bad news rose throughout the building, the sound of generators roaring back to life. Why did everything have to go to hell at once?
Gage stands still in the darkly lit room, a single candle light from his finger in the form of a small flame lighting the doorway and nothing more. A 'pop of spiritual energy forces Gage to turn, a small poof of dust settling in the air surrounding Miss Kaiyo's body, her escort vanishing as fast as he appeared. Closing the distance to him quickly she seems hurried,”Change of plans, I need you to find a man in a lab coat and keep him safe. He stands out like a sore thumb among middle fingers.” Gage's impression of the situation changes quickly. At first, he was thinking that maybe this was all one big set up, that perhaps she had put together a big elaborate hoax to make him try his best to impress her but it seemed that she was giving him a field test.
Normally he didn't work for free, his first job normally being cheaper than his regular rate but it was a little late to discuss numbers. He would just have to bite the bullet on this one. Stepping out into the hallway she takes the attention of another group of security guards, gasping in surprise when she is spotted, albeit a bit of a fake response altogether.
Pushing out a yellow mop bucket Gage hits the hallway at a fast walk, one wheel on his bucket wiggling and squeaking as he walked. Tapping the bucket with one foot he sends a small pop of energy into the wheel bearings, cleaning them up and making them as quiet as a mouse. Whistling as he walked Gage tries his best to appear nonchalant, his eyes on the hallways and the people in them. Twice he passes a group of security guards, their eyes all falling to the ground the instant that he comes into view. Nothing but security guards so far but if he finds anything out of the ordenary he would grab them and find his way out, the vauge description that the Mam had left him with being diconcerting to him.

IT'S THE COFFEE TALKING
"If this is another stalker or kidnapper I swear..."
Unfortunately Gage would not be finding the scientist he needed to find for some time. Most the upper floors only had security guards or supply rooms. The place was designed to make people lose interest in finding anything of value on the four floors that just had more and more security guards. His trick working wonders as well as having a threat appear elsewhere, that being Kaiyo. Soon however he would encounter the first non-security figure, a female with long blonde hair and a lab coat. She seemed unworried as the guards moved around her with a slight bow of their heads out of respect before moving to catch the intruder.
If gage tried to do anything to harm or bind the women he would find out she was not someone easily dealt with by simple tricks. If he got in front of her he would see a white horn to her left side and the hollow reiatsu only present when he got a few feet from her. But should he stay just far enough away from her she would lead him through the maze without much trouble. It was Gage choice how he proceeded but as power turned back on the alarms began to go off all around him, time was ticking.
__--__
Kaiyo enjoyed playing tag or die when she was still being trained to be a killer over seven hundred years ago. But she was not trying to kill people she tagged, just jumping over them as they got hit by a stun gun for her actions. Her right hand moving out as she snapped her fingers and spoke for the first time since she started running around. ”Zeige dich!” Black smoke rose from her back as her doll appeared with a loud yawn. ”I’m not running around like a coward.” Annoyed tone and spunk, her doll never changed as the girl rushed forward, her head sliding left slightly to avoid getting shocked before she picked up the first heavy guard she approached and threw him at the others like a rag doll. The alarms going off made Kaiyo stop running, now it was time to try and hold off the security.
Gage had no luck on the first floor, the walls and rooms all blending together. He whistled to himself and smiled at the men as they walked by, the guards themselves all avoiding eye contact to the absolute best of their ability. Then he found her, the first of the residents of this underground nightmare that was more than a regular human. He could feel it in the air, the hollow energy that either she or someone nearby was emanating. From so far away it was hard to make out exactly what kind of energy she was putting off but he knew that distance was the best corse of action. Staying away and keeping himself at a maximum distance of ten meters he walks slowly behind her, letting her lead him through the maze-like basement.
It was like he was walking in circles, the walls all painted the same with the same dagnabit security camera on the corners of each turn but he was making some distance as the room numbers he changed from the hundreds to the six hundred. Finally, with Gage in a loose tow she finds an elevator, the ring of a bell marking her exit from the floor. Gage looks about the hallway, letting her down first, the hydraulic doors closing with a hiss. Checking once more he leans out and makes sure that he is in the clear.
Backing up to the elevator door Gage taps it with his heel, a small spark of soul communication opening the door into a large elevator shaft that leads deeper. Hopping backwards he pulls his mop bucket and mop in with him, landing on a cushion of air that would be quiet enough that a mouse wouldn't have stirred from his touch down. Base floor here he comes.
