The aftermath had not yet settled. With two weeks passing citizens remained confused after a massive explosion from an unknown source took many lives. Some called government conspiracy while others terrorism, however, for others they knew truth. While limited, Justin tried doing his best to push back Hollow who occasionally came following Karakura Town’s trouble. A large section of the city, some residential and stores nearby where he lived had gone poof. With hardly even rubble remaining Justin couldn’t bare staying near Karakura Town, choosing to, instead, live outside.
A good friend, Natsumi, stayed with him. The news had yet fully grasped how many people perished but Natsumi was thought one of them. Refusing to leave his side, Justin occasionally slipped away while she slept in a cave he used for training. But she couldn’t stay like that forever and neither could he. Justin, disgusted with himself, slicked away towards Karakura Town once again to gather food. Hollow didn’t come around to much now, but those that did were strong enough to be a challenge for even Shinigami. Despite helping much as he could, Justin’s stern face hid his internal tears.
Along the streets he walked, avoding the now mass construction zone where people were pulled from the debree; Those who survived, barely at that. With hands in pockets Justin sighed heavily, sneaking past the rope to the destroyed teashop where he walked around. He found a destroyed teacup, one often used by Natsumi’s parents. He picked it up but the handle broke off. The male who bore much guilt and the little girl's family who he could not protect, the hundreds of lives lost; Justin fell and cried loud. The night sky was quiet. Though none were around, Justin's fingers dug into his skull as he cried out.
Gage was burned, both physically and mentally. He was scarred by the interactions of the Soul Society and the Hollows that plagued his world. They came here, to his home to play their petty war games and cost human lives. Hundreds at that, just so that they could show face and get their name out. Soul Society had more, more people and soldiers alike to fight against this incursion but they did nothing. All they wanted was to 'maintain' what balance that they thought that they had so they sent just enough fire power to shoo off the hollows that destroyed the lives of hundreds. Perhaps he was wrong, perhaps Soul Society was weaker than that. Either way he could only come to one conclusion. This kind of wanton destruction had to come to an end. If there were really that many nuclear bombs walking about in the spiritual worlds he would have to do something to keep it from happening again. But what?...
Gage did not leave his home, although many did, choosing to wander the streets cleaning up what hollow that he can. It was not a lot, their numbers being out of control since the 'fall' but nothing that he couldn't handle in a one on one situation as long as he didn't get out numbered. He never really noticed but the route that he took to get from location to location happened to be his favorite places, deserted and dusty after the attack. Ramen house, grocery store, food district, library, arcade then finally the tea shop. Walking up to his final stop on his laps he hears the yells, a cry of pain and anguish. Gage trots forward, his left leg still sore but healing, his right arm in a cast up to the base of the shoulder.
"Justin? Justin is that you?" Gage starts forward faster, his left leg aching but not getting too bad. The thing that got him was the deep breaths, his lungs aching from the healing broken ribs.

Tears moistened once strong facial features, like moist stone eroding away emotion cracked underneath great pressure. A proud heart wavered with flames as a mental picture now forever burned inside his mind. The great disaster that Justin did not and could not prevent burdened him; Acting as a heavy bolder that even, for all his strength, he could shoulder. No words or thoughts came, only echoing screams and the memory of fire smoke debris and burning flesh filling his lungs. Fingers dug deep into his cranium as though trying to rip out his own brain, ridding himself of a memory where he bashed his forehead against scorched metal.
Despite all his efforts Justin could not rid himself of the memory, one he both wished to remember and forget. Remnants of strong spiritual forces still lingered, as though licking Justin's frame and aura that began glowing green. Purple red and yellow demonic energies of a soul hungry race began clinging to Justin, attracted to his distraught Fullbring reiatsu. Now in silence Justin did not respond when hearing Gage's voice. Jaw opened with empty dark gray eyes starring, lost in the images from two weeks ago. With arms at sides, hanging down and knees on ground with head tilted back he looked towards the sky. And a single tear ran down his face onto flames that igniting due to the reiatsu trying to consume Justin.
Energy without a will, only instinct like a hungry beast that had yet to exist trying to take form. For those who would touch Justin, like a Hollow's acid touch they would find themselves stung. Yet for those close....those his heart was attached to---
Stopping a bit short he makes out Justin's blank stare, his eyes lost in his mind. Another one lost to the terrors of their life, the damage to Karakuratown being more than just physical. The town as a whole was suffering, spiritually and mentally. The walls could be rebuilt in months, the streets repaved and the buildings repainted but there were scars in there that would never heal, always to be lingering in the backs of everyone's minds. Gage had his own, the giant ape of a man descending down on the town like a beast from hell, extinguishing lives all over the city with both his own weight and the rubble that he sends flying. A small pang of pain in his elbow pulls him back to reality. "Justin, are you alright?" Gage had not seen Justin since before the attack but now that he was here he felt a small surge of joy. There were more of him. Fullbringers were not all gone. Perhaps he would help, perhaps they would be able to do what is needed to get rid of this nightmare.
Taking a knee in front of him Gage almost lays a hand on his shoulder when he spots it, the energy inside him tearing its way to the surface. Justin was in a war with himself for control and he was losing. The demon inside him was slowly bubbling to the surface and it was about to take over. A surge of energy billows off the young Fullbringer like wind, blowing Gages hair back and kicking his necklace over his shoulder so that it was behind his back. It was a small trinket but it was important. This small vial on a chain held his own Fullbring bond, gathered from his lost Fullbring. Reaching behind himself he takes the necklace and pulls it around to in front of himself to tuck back into his shirt once more.

Close proximity from Gage caused an intense upsurge of Fullbring aura, specifically Justin's. The vibrant dark green hue pushed aside darkness and light, thereby coating everything around in the color of his own reiatsu. A burst that lasted for only a few seconds then sucked back inside Justin. With power seemingly suppressed, compressing inside, the young man's body began smoldering spiritual energy from all joints; That licked Gage's being and linked to his own reiatsu due to their connection. The surrounding Hollow reiatsu remnants had seeped inside Justin, causing his mental and emotional state to go wild.
Like an doll, Justin's eyes were blank and he lost control over himself. Sending a quick uppercut to Gage's jaw he then arose his body from the ground to strike again, this time with a downwards, curved, left hook to Gage's face. His expression blank, just as his eyes, the Hollow energy had fed off Gage's own remnants that he produced; Syncing with the bond the two Fullbringers shared. Thus causing a semi-controlled, yet near mindless, rage state. Yet like a martial artist, Justin moved back to gather some distance with a standard boxing stance from American style boxing mixed with Muy Thai.
The world changed colors, shifting as if there were a colored film placed over his eyes as Justin's energy splashed out in a wave of unrelenting energy. He was cracking, just as Vee had and just as he himself had. This was because of the attack on Karakura Town, it had to be. Justins psyche was folding under the pressure of dealing with what ever loss he felt and it was getting the better of him. As quickly as it was expulsed the color sucks itself back in, vanishing into Justins body like he was the drain in the world of energy. Gage reactivly takes a step back, in this state where he was deaf to the world Justin was dangerous, he may not be as strong as Gage but he was like a blind dog. He may lash out at the first thing he can get his hands on.
Then it flurried, the energy finally surfacing from Justin's body as it had with Gage. Hollow energ was finally forcing its way into the real world and was about to make its face shown. Reaching its peak the flames lick at Gage's own energy, the Reiatsu licking at his own and intertwining as if Gage's energy was trying to pull in the hollowfied energy. Worry picks at Gages mind making him hop backwards to put some distance between them. Gage had finally gotten rid of that energy, the hollow side of him finally supressed into submision. In a flurry of motion Justin attacks, launching himself inwards, a blinding uppercut flying at his chin. Gage wasnt really expecting the blow, rolling his head to the side at the last second, just fast enough to roll his head to the left and have Justins fist graze against his right cheek. Wrapping up Gage throws a quick kick to Justin's front ankle in an attempt to get him down to one knee. Jumping back to get some distance incase he doubles up on his attack. "Justin. Are you in there? Can you even hear me anymore?"

Mad beast, an attack at Justin's left ankle brought him down, however, adjusting right foot he pushed off. Propelled forwards with right arm extended, Justin tried slamming his entire arm or shoulder into Gage's lower abdominal area. If successful, he would plant his left foot heavily into the ground, with arm directed upwards, to send Gage into the sky. Despite the bruised ankle, pain didn't wholly register. Nor was Gage, Gage. Inside Justin's mind he was fighting something else, himself. An image of a deranged beast, his own weakness. His lack of pride in himself, his cowardice; Justin's attacks right now, or hardly ever, had much pride.
"Coward!" Justin's bellow stretched far as his shaking vocal cords could function. "Empty, you're always empty. No belief in yourself. Stand up for yourself for once!" Rather the previous actions successful or not, Justin's words still came directed at the image he saw of himself in Gage. "Neither man nor warrior nor beast, worthless creature!" With body going low, falling left onto knee, teeth clinched hard. Like a vice he bit down on his own left forearm with blood drawing from the sides of his limps flowing down his chin. He grinned devilishly.
Gage remembers that blind rage, that empty look of anger and fight. It's gaze was upon him, not an unfamiliar one, having spent months of his life trying to push it down but he could remember it. To suppress it into the smallest mote of light that he could then smother it with the best pile of conscious effort that he could muster. It drove Justin farther forward, making him behave in a manner more fitting of a hollow than of a human. No...not you too. Gage could see the monster in Justin starting to well to the surface, beginning to dig its way up until it was eye to eye with him. With a swing of his arm, Justin does something that Gage would not have expected that he was capable of. That anyone in a long time was capable of. Justin shoulders into Gage's stomach and uses his entire forearm and shoulder to fling him skyward. He felt the wind leave him the instant that contact was made, the force of the blow far superior to what Justin's spiritual pressure was normally capable of.
Then he spoke, Gages body face down in the air, almost suspended as he gazed upon Justin in his lost hollow self. Insults, slander and scorn poured out of his mouth as he takes a bite out of his own arm. He was fighting his own inner demons, not Gage himself but a monster that was itching to wiggle its way out. A bite that draws blood is the last thing it does before it turns its attention back on him, the blood on his face now dripping down the sides of his mouth. Gage was beyond words, he was aware that Justin was losing himself in his fullbring but he had absolutely nothing that he could do. Nothing but draw its attention on to himself and break its energy reserves in the hopes that its grasp on him with fall. What else did this thing have in its body to do?

The enemy, himself, fell slowly. Perhaps through Soul Communication but Justin's current state of mind prevent coherent thought. This fight was the same thing Justin went through every day; A lack of confidence in himself, barely brave when friends needed him, feeling empty inside and all around unmotivated. He lived by nearly emotion alone. But everything from depression joy and anger eventually burned out in Justin. His constant requirement for approval from others, wanting to know he did a good job, was a lack in belief in himself; He just needed one inch of pride in himself but every time he gained one inch he was pushed onto his back.
Focusing on the ground below, he pulled at charred soil and stone to propel himself upwards. Arms at side, right knee somewhat strait with left brought up, he was making his body aerodynamic. Right arm drawn back, he seemingly tried for a powerful right uppercut into Gage's stomach, however, it was just a feint as he quickly spun his body leftward; Striking with a right kick to Gage's side. "Why don't you fight back!? Fight me, bite me, give me a hug!" At least Justin's weird sense in humor was still intact.
Through feats of advanced skill and speed, Justin had learned things that would not have been normally possible at his level of strength. Using Soul Communication he drew the ground up in a burst, launching himself skyward like a dart. Descending slowly towards the seemingly blurred dart of a human Gage's eyes were at least able to track the movements, his left hand going to to grab the incoming fist of Justin's upper cut. With a resounding 'pop' the hit lands home but is quickly followed by a round-house kick to Gage's side, the blow landing a solid hit to his ribs but Gage has been kicked before, so many times in fact that he did the first thing that he his instincts told him to do.
Wrapping his arm about the leg Gage uses the spinning momentum pf Justin's kick to spin himself, helicoptering Justin with the speed of a roller coaster straight down into the ground, enough energy there to crack the asphalt with the impact. "You want me to bite then I will bite!" Gage launches himself straight down Justin's body, the air above him detonating like a cannon to launch himself at impossible speeds. If he hit or not the impact would crater the ground around his feet out to two feet, cracks appearing like spiderwebs. "Well go on! Get up! Bite Back! Fight Back! Give me a reason not to hate myself for KILLING YOU!!!" Gage was losing it too, everyone was losing it, the whole town crumbling inside as wel as outside. He was simply taking out his anger on Justin, picking at his hollow side, pressing buttons in the hopes of getting a rise.

Launched downwards like a falling meteor Justin's body clashed against concrete; A thunderous sound. Gage followed with lightning speed, like a bolt he too came down. The resulting calamity from their battle compared only as a scratch to the power used by the giant monkey Hollow from weeks ago. Even though time passed their spiritual presence still remained. Never before Justin experienced such an event personally, only stories from tales long ago. His teeth grit as Gage came down and arms crossed to protect himself. Ground caved in from the force, but Justin's tensed muscles acted like makeshift knight armor.
"Don't, underestimate me!" Justin snapped, seeing a faint image of Gage rather than himself for a moment. In that moment, his right leg jolted upwards with him 'pulling' at the ground to aid in lifting up his foot with force. His knee to strike the back of Gage's left knee, to make him loose balance to fall left [Justin's right]; Justin then tried rolling his body left with Gage's lack of balance. Quickly getting onto his hands Justin spread out his legs to spin around like a helecoptor to try and hit Gage multiple times with a barrage of spiral kicks.
And so the impact was terrifying, for a moment Gage actually came out of his rage and anguish of the loss and realized that he may have just killed one of the few surviving friends that he had left in this god forsaken town. But this is not the case, Justin's surge of power and spiritual energy gave his body an increased resistance to rival his own. The ground cratered under Justin's stone like skin before Justin responds with his own counter attack, a quick knee to the back of Gages left leg, knocking him off balance so that he is forced to roll to his left of face falling straight to the ground.
By the time that Gage is back up on his feet he is barely able to get his hands up in time to block a barrage of kicks that would have landed against the side of his own head, blow after blow of the jack hammer like attack sliding Gage farther away before he leaps back to make some distance. "I'm NOT!!!" With that Gage draws his fist back into a punch, five meters away from Justin. With his drawing fist Gage pulls on the concrete, forming a fist behind Justin that would pile drive [Tier III]him forward so that Gage's fist would reach for a blow across the face.
Post by JUSTIN ARCHER on Sept 16, 2016 3:38:10 GMT
With a shift Justin's body turned upright following several, mildly, successful strikes. Right fist drawn back he stepped forwards only for Gage's fist to make contact first. In that brief moment when Gage's reiatsu meet Justin's body a strong beat pulsed through Justin. The Hollow and Fullbring reiatsu mixed along with Gage's own, stronger, Fullbring reiatsu. With the minor, forced, contracted made through a connection at the start of their meeting slightly stabilized Justin. His entire body felt itself cramping, feeling the force standing taller than himself. Teeth grit with a strange smirk of sheer joy.
The blow sent Justin spiraling backwards, for a moment his mind lost consciousness before snapping back. "Burst!" Justin spoke loudly to himself, using the single word as if it were an aria for a magic spell to utilize pull on the air around him. However, his control wasn't strong enough yet to solidify air for that amount of pressure. Body leaned forwards, right hand digging into ground, he used the earth to send himself dashing forwards, however, rather than moving in a stright line he zigzagged left and right before coming to Gage's left with his own left fist pulled back ready to strike at shoulder height.
However, rather than doing that Justin exploded the earth beneath his right foot to send it flying into Gage's chest.
The contact was solid, the flash of Reiatsu detonating int he area like a bomb. It was tremendous and if another person were nearby to watch this fight it would seem like each of their blows were connecting with the force of a granade. Gage's own punch lands on Justin's left cheek bone before Justin's has a chance to make contact with his own blow. The force of the contact would have been enough to make Gage take a knee, the ground cracking beneath the demonic Fullbringers feet With the contact and the flash of Reiatsu Gage's own necklace cracks a little, small spider web thin cracks spreading through the glass forboding that it is on the verge of shattering.
Then Justin was on the offensive again, ducking himself into an agressive stance, speaking a 'command' word Gage watches him do something that he had taught Justin. Using both the earth beneath his feet and the air to speed himself up Justin launches himself into a charge, darting side to side with each step. With each step the ground cracked where his foot made contact, the force of the step making the asphault give way. Just like that he was upon Gage, a left blow to the shoulder being all that he could muster with that high speed advance. Putting up his right arm to block the blow Gage reinforces his arm by holding it with his left hand, compleatly missing the boulder now bolting at his chest. With a crack the boulder slams home, exploding with the force of the impact. Launching him backwards Gage skids to a stop on his back, his eyes blurry and his lungs compleatly out of air. It was a smart move, attacking at shoulder level so many times before finally launching one from a different direction.

The final blow should be nigh however Gage couldn't fall from just a few powerful strikes; But neither did Justin. One solid collision after another hurt Justin's limbs but Justin held means to clash against hardened bodies and armors without worry. With foot withdrawing his right arm changed form. Black fabric tattered, dancing around as Justin's energy crackled in green and black. The energy, however, was much more tame compared to before during his rage state. And with Fullbring now activated, Justin used the enhanced speed strength and weight of his arm to slam against Gage's chest after withdrawing his foot; Aiming to make contact before his foot even came back to the ground.
Forearm crooked, like a snake it moved at a right angle then changed direction at the midway point. A Sholin style called Snake, Justin aimed to simply try clipping Gage's chest with his knuckles and sent a black explosion [Tier III] from his Fullbring - Night Break. The explosion was powerful enough to send an unrooted Justin backwards alongside Gage, granting both distance from one another. Justin turned his body, right arm causing a weak explosion expelling from the elbow to cause him to stop twenty feet from Gage.
Justin had never used that tactic near Gage before, not in the manner of sending an explosion out to increase or halt movements. He had only shown Gage the explosion from his fist alone.
Gage's body was resilient, built for punishment and tested through the storm of battle. Even so, Justin in his out-right blood fury was still able to test him. The boulder had broken his defense, leaving him winded and staggered only to feel the strength of a Full Bring flourish in front of him. The surge of energy unmistakable, Gage recognizing his own in it, something he had once had. Blocking his face Gage covers up, knowing that the blow was coming he covered what he felt would be the most damaged from a direct hit from a fresh Fullbring. He was wrong.
The blow landed in the middle of his chest, the glass of his necklace shattering from the force of Justin's fist against Gage's own torso. While Gage was tough he did not have the protection of his Fullbring so the Glass mixed with the force of the punch broke Gage's skin, driving the fluid kept neatly tucked away straight into his blood. It was all made worse with the explosion of power, a surge of Justin's attack blowing the fluid into his torso, the back splash from the fluid coating his right fist.
It was similar to a nightmare, the feeling of having his Fullbring wash over him again before it suddenly floods him with the energy that he so longed for. Starting in his chest he felt as if his body were suddenly exploding with water, the cool feeling spreading throughout his body before it spread into two locations. Settling into his hip Gage feels the energy enter his blade, his custom swords that he created what feels like years ago. The other end of that flood though was his face, washing up and pouring out his eyes in a layer of grey energy until it covers his whole face in the shape vaguely reminiscent of a mask. He felt better though, as if a weight was lifted off his shoulders and he was back into the world again.

Notes: The beasts mentioned below look like this. They are each ML.
How far their battle could go wasn't something Justin thought much about. Most thought that was previously not present slowly returned throughout their engagement, however, Justin's attention drifted between the green aura now surrounding his left hand and Gage. Somehow, and Justin wasn't completely sure about his idea, their connection mixed with whatever Gage sealed inside that necklace. Justin's stance shifted into a standard boxing stance. Green lines traveled along his left arm up to the shoulder causing muscles to relax then twitch. Much of the pain previously inside his body, as well anger, started subsiding. He felt calmer, his body cooler and mind clear.
The lines seeped deep into Justin's being, down into his soul where upon reaching his brain the mixture between his previous rage state and calmness set in. Despite feeling pain still to some degree it wasn't bad. He felt a second wind come early, like he could start up round two. But his energy reserves were dwindling. Unlike Gage, who had much more in his tank, Justin would give out far before even if his body lasted. One way or another Gage would always outlast Justin, however, the energy inside Justin had thickened. Despite remaining the same level it had calmed while the density of his spiritual pressure increased modestly.
A multitude of beasts began forming from spiraling Hollow and Fullbring reiatsu around the area. They spawned quickly, bodies not totally solid and being tar-like but smooth. Their reiatsu was like a very Hollowed Fullbringer, darker than Justin's raged state by far. Justin, who'd counted their number at over a dozen, froze at their sudden appearance.
Then it was gone, pulling away from his face in a stringy mess before it suddenly 'pops' sends out his energy in all directions, mixing with the air and the traces of the hollow energy in the air until the blob onto the ground. Slowly standing and taking form they all move like fluid, no sudden jerking or twitching. Standing slowly until they are all upright Gage slowly looks around their ranks, nearly a dozen of them all staring at him and Justin. "Uhhh. Justin? Is this you? This isn't me I don't think." Sitting up and standing slowly he looks about him, each of the beings armed in some way with a couple of them not at all armed.
Scooting closer to Justin he moves until his back touches his newly conscious friend. Reaching behind his back Gage pulls out his carving knife, the length of his forearm, shaped like a Kukri. Patting Justin with the blade he offers it while he pulls his own Break Blade buckle off, the blade 'pouring' out the top and solidifying. "I think your going to need this." Gage slowly dips down, settling into a fighting stance, his sword in his left hand forward of him, separating him from the energy constructs. He could vaguely recognize the energy, the feeling of a hollow mixed with his own energy being the majority of their being. "I hope you know how to use that thing."

"No, I think. I don't have that kind of power." The young warrior took Gage's blade without hesitation into his left hand. Thankfully Justin practiced using more than his right arm with combat, however, a knife was far different than using fists. Even so, Justin was mildly confident in himself and couldn't think about what might happen given they were surrounding. Despite Justin able to block strikes with Utopia Breaker attacks from multiple sides was an issue he faced, but that's why he developed his dexterity to be ambidextrous. "A sword's one thing, but I'll have some fun with this thingy." Justin meant the knife.
The creatures attention was directed purely towards Gage and Justin, multiple leaping towards them at varying intervals. Blades, axes, and halberds lifted lowered and pulled back, Justin pulled himself into a South Paw boxing stance, however, he kept the knife a bit lower and horizontal, partly, with his body. "Back to back!" Justin responded quickly, shifting himself so he was at Gage's back. Three beasts coming at Justin, one from straight ahead and in the air, two from the ground coming from left and right.
Justin, blocking the largest weapon, a halberd, at his left with his knife, shifted his body so the energy was directed into his right foot. With right hand on bottom of handle to help with strength, Justin moved his right elbow to intercept the right sword, and the frontal axe. However, part of the axe's blade sliced into his right shoulder; Or tried. his right shoulder was part of Utoipa Breaker.
"No, of course not. That would make this make too much sense." A storm of thoughts flash through his mind, scouring his conscious with possible situations that would explain this situation. The best that he was able to come up with is that the Fullbring energy that the two of the use has reacted with both the Full bring Extract that was in his necklace and the hollow energy in the air, left over from several agressive hollows including the odd Holers that have been appearing all over town. The overly powerful energy that they put off must have reacted with both of their energies and somehow given them 'sentient' traits, manifesting in human like hollow energy life forms. Justin at least in this situation is confident that he has the training to make the most of wielding the Kukri like knife.
Four of the beast charge Gage, two going bare handed, one with a great sword and the last with some kind of knife, the blade twisted, looking like it was more for maiming than killing. Sliding his right foot out to meet the two hand to hand fighters he sends a burst of soul Communication energy to blow them back, giving him some distance to fight the two armed hollows. A wide swing from the great sword makes Gage reach back and duck while pushing Justin down, the blade floating above their heads. The Scythe, going the nail Gage in a straight down strike is sidestepped, his own sword whipping out to hack off the hand holding they weapon.
