Name: Transposition
Class: Hand to Hand
Tier: III
Type: Fighting Style
Range: Self
Description: Commonly known as “Painting” and inspired by a book series that Kvothe read as a child, the act of transposition is caused by the ability to Fullbring. By communicating with the soul of light and using a prism, or another means to split light, as a catalyst the user of this tech may split light into various tangible colors imbued with reiatsu that each have their own unique effect and properties. The colors that one can “paint” are dictated by their personality and when one paints a color that trait takes to the forefront of their mind. One could learn to paint all of the colors with enough time and practice. It’s difficult, however as it would involve adjusting your mindset to match the color you wanted to paint and specializing in Soul Communication.
{Spoiler}{Colors}Superviolet- Made of wavelengths shorter than most human eyes can see, superviolet light is invisible except to superviolet painters and even then it can be seen only when they concentrate. Solid, but not as strong as blue or green, superviolet is the subtlest. Used for creating things such as invisible walls and traps, and marking targets on the battlefield, superviolets tend to have a removed outlook. They appreciate irony and sarcasm and are sometimes cold. Think Glass
Blue- Blue is hard, strong, and smooth. It is usually regarded as the strongest form of light as it is so widely used and versatile. Blues are orderly, inquisitive, and unfailingly rational. Structure, rules, and hierarchy are important to blues. Think Iron
Green- This would be the same type of light that can be seen when using the “Bringer’s Light”. Green is springy and flexible. The uses are as varied as the painter is creative Greens are wild and free. They don't so much disrespect authority as not even recognize it.
Yellow- Yellow is most often a liquid that releases its energy back into normal light quickly, allowing it to be used for things like triggers for explosions or more commonly, flashlights. Yellow can be used to coat tools and structures of other colors, extending the durability by about 2 posts. If a person with Specialized soul communication paints yellow it can become even harder than blue. Yellows tend to be clear thinkers, intellect and emotion in perfect balance. Think water or Titanium
Orange- Orange is slick and heavy, almost a mix of tar and motor oil over a sheet of ice. It’s usually used to create traps or keep machines running. Oranges are often artists, brilliant in understanding other people’s emotions and motivations. Some use this to defy or exceed expectations. Others become master manipulators.
Red- Red is sticky extremely flammable. When used in tandem with Sub-Red or combined with enough heat, red can be used to make firebombs that stick to their targets. It also has the property to burn away, leaving the user unharmed if they’re coated in it. Similar to how alcohol will burn away before your skin does. Reds are quick tempered, impulsive, lusty, and love destruction.
SubRed- Sub-Red painters can see and manipulate a color that is, at it’s core heat. This gives them access to a variety of strategies. By allowing their reiatsu to reach out and touch their surroundings, they can paint with heat rather than just light. Sub-reds are passionate in all ways, the most purely emotional of all.

Is this just the base ability from which other abilities will be made? Because if not its denied under having one technique that does way too much.

Yeah, this is ,for lack of a better term, a "fighting style". On it's own all it would do is give you the knowledge contained in the spoiler. Once other techniques are obtained, then the properties of the colors and such come into play. It was just easier to explain in this post.

Supplementary are specifically for augments/ buffage, if this is just a style what exactly are you buffering?

Initially I had it mislabeled, but I've edited it. From what I could see all "fighting styles" were listed as supplementary so I labeled it as such. Is there a more appropriate label that i might have overlooked?

apologies for that, the supplementary thing is being worked on for the time being.
only other issue would be if it is a fighting style then you would need to change the class to hand to hand since that governs fighting styles. and this would need a tier (I-III if you really dont want CD's)

I think it's all fixed up now! Thanks for clarifying for me.
