Ah~ What a beautiful sunset~ The sky was a brilliant rainbow of golds and reds and deep orange! It was a time for lovers to be together, for old men to sit out on their porches and reflect on their life, for people to enjoy the peace and serenity of all existence.
Moriko hated it…
No, no, that’s not right. She was just… in a mood. A meeting she had with one of her contacts on a certain project of hers had been… disappointing and now she was heading back to Seireitei through the Rukongai.
Of course, it simply wouldn’t do for her to let her vitriolic, all consuming rage show though! She kept a tight rein on over her face. The only sign someone might see of the tempest brewing below the surface was a certain predatory gait to her Peaceful Stroll.tm
There was a food stand. Mori hadn’t been there before herself, but it had a good reputation among the other Shinigami.
Plus, hey, anything to wash the smell of cheap cigars that the fat bastard her honorable and respected contact favored out of her noses.
The smell of spices and cooking meat was simply heavenly on her nostrils as she pushed aside the candy cane striped curtain. Business seemed to be going well. There were a handful of customers, including a couple shinigami, already sitting on the stools and either eating or waiting for their meal.
Mori nodded in greeting to one such shinigami as she took the stool next him and placed her order.

"Stupid squad and thier stupid rules and stupid chain of deligation" He said these last three words with a high pitched mocking voice. Some squad 11s got to go to the human world, some to the fun districts, the party districts, the ones where things actually happen. What did he get? The do gooders from the liberatche town of privilege. Fan-fecking-tastic.
It was one mistake, one small mistake with that train, a few people almost died and suddenly he is "too irisponsible for duty" what a load of crap. He slouched through into the restaurant, spirits low and temper high. All he wanted was some action, just...something. How was he meant to prove he could fight in a team again unless he got the oppertunity, it felt like what he had heard teenagers in the human world complain about. How was he meant to get experiance with a job if all the jobs require experiance to apply.
It was not the shinigami's fault, it was not Yorishou's fault. Thats what he told himself in any case, the man was just sitting in the wrong place at the wrong time. Grabbing the back of his kimono, he threw the man backwards and out the door. It was done so smoothly, effortlessly and clean, barely anyone even noticed what happened. The guy was 11th, and if he knew any better he would not come back in, Yorishou was rarely in this bad a mood and could be someone not to mess with at the best of times.
Taking the mans seat, he placed his head face down with his hands interlocked on his neck. Breathing out slowly and waiting for someone to offer to take his order. It was a small victory over the establishment to make them work for his order but he felt like being petty was the way forwards. The girl next to him was barely registered in his temper, he did not know her and had little intention of getting to know her. He was not hungry but he was feeling emotional, and eating was one way to deal with that.

Hmmmmmmmmmm~? Well, this could be fun: dinner and some entertainment.
“Wow~ That was some entrance,” Moriko drawled lazily waving her chopsticks in Yorishou’s direction. After a moment the chef brought out her order. It was a mixture of meat, veggies and rice covered in a glistening sauce spicy enough that even from a couple feet away it was enough to burn out the nostrils.
The heat was heavenly~ Just one bite was enough to send bright waves of fire coursing through her body. She needed a moment to savor it before continuing to address her dinner-mate, “So what division are you from? Wait! Wait! Don’t tell me! I know your face! Ummm… Now where was it again?”
Did she know him from the first division? No, no, she’d have an easier time remembering him if that was the case?
Some noble event?
…
Noooooooooooooo, one glance at him was more than enough for her to disregard that notion. =_=
AHA! That was it!
“Right!” Moriko said snapping her fingers in realization, “You’re Yorishou Kiyoshi from the 11th! I saw your disciplinary report. Nasty business that,”
Even though each of the divisions saw to their own internal business a lot of that ended up filtering up to the 1st as part of their duties in keeping the Gotei 13 running as a cohesive whole. This was especially true for the 11th division since the average 11th division member was lucky to be literate, never mind willing to sit down and do paperwork. As a result, it often fell on the first division when something needed to be down with the 11th that required some semblance of formality.
Yorishou’s report past by Moriko’s desk, was signed, stamped and promptly filed away to never again see the light of day. What a lucky break that she ended up running across the man.

The mass of ruffled kimono and dirty, untamed hair that was currently Yorishou let out a muffled grunt at the entrance comment. But made no move other than that, silence was golden right now but it was his own fault for going somewhere public. Not that he wanted to go back to the barracks, the chances of silence there is about the same as seeing the captain entering an ice skating competition dressed in a pink mankini and a Frozen tiara. Not an image any sane man would recover from.
Making no more comment, but arching his eyebrow, not that the girl would see that. Just his luck that when he is slumped, tired and miserable, someone there would know just the thing to make him fully depressed. Confidential he had been told, need to know basis and no one, needed to know. But here she is, the one person, he hoped anyway, that had processed it and had to mention it when he was already on the edge. Fan-fecking-tastic.
The spicy scent of food hit his nose, lifting his head and coming face to face with a notepad held by the waitress. She looked down with a suppressed amusement and readied her pen to show she was ready. Yorishou licked his lips quickly, and murmed something about chicken noodles that the waitress seemed to catch. She booped his nose with the pad and walked away, too tired to object, his head fell back on the table facing the girl.
A little higher in spirits now with the prospect of food, he said tiredly. "And you must be bob from division 7. I purchased your gardening book and was simply delighted with how my orchids have turned out." There was no trace of rudeness or sarcasm in his voice. Simply offsetting his bad mood with an attempt at humour, the man before him just happened to be sitting in his seat, but there was no reason to be purposefully rude to her.

“Hey! That’s great to hear! Orchids are important after all,” Moriko cheered clapping her hands together, “Not like something so tres~ mundane as having a friendly face in the administrative wing of Division 1 who know just what forms to fill out to file a psych exam at the fourth, a performance exam to ensure that you’re physically capable of serving or to appeal a disciplinary punishment. That would be so-”
That was when the screaming started.
It came with a noxious rush of hollow reiatsu. One moment there was nothing. The next they were submerged in a dark sea of foul energy. More screams joined the first along with the decidedly inhuman roars of the dark beasts. Wood snapped. Houses were destroyed. Blood gurgled.
“Iaccepthardcash, luxuryfoodstuffandrealworldswagasbribes,” Moriko finished in one hurried rush before immediately stepping out and up into the dark night sky. The sun had set.
It was a scene of a massacre. A course, festering wound in reality stood open in the sky disgorging a stream of hollow black and white like- like- like some guy vomit after drinking too much! Hey, they can’t all be winners!
”BLEED! SHI DAFU!”
Her first strike fell down on the horde, razor sharp ink cutting a bleeding swath through the foremost hollows chasing after the fleeing civilians.
{Spoiler}{Techs Used} Name: Ink Shadow Class: Zan Spirit Tier: II Type: Passive Range: 10m Description: Shi Dafu's ink blade isn't completely solid. As Mori fights the ink shadows it, tracing across space like the stroke of a brush or rushing ahead like modern day splatter art. This ink is still a part of the blade and basically increases the reach of the weapon to 10m, though the ink is limited to 10m and cero speed.
Name: Surge (Tier 4) Class: Zan Spirit Tier: II-IV Type: Offensive Range: 100m Description: An extension of Ink Shadow, for an attack it causes the Ink Shadow to extend out to a full 100m. The exact form this takes can vary depending on what sort of attack launches it. For example a thrust might lead to a simple blast of ink while a slash might lead to a flying slash. In either case it deals tier damage and how fast it goes depends on tier.

Too many words. Far too many words, from what streamed out of the girls mouth he assumed she worked in administration and was hinting at something. But was far too tired, and his right ear was throwing off his hearing as it was pressed against the table. Yorishou was sure it was nothing important, the word diciplinery had been thrown around him so much lately that he had grown numb to it. In fact, he tended to zone out when it was mentioned so tha-food! Steaming chicken noodles with large chunks were slid next to his face and he perked up, snatching up the chopsticks he prepared to dig in.
Its probably a sadistic 11th division thing if you get happy when you hear screaming, the plane smothered with a reiatsu so melevolent that it took him a moment to realise it was not a dream. But it was more a relief of stress and energy, finally something to do, hopefully. It depending on how many others were going to stick thier noses in. He looked down sadly at his food, taunting him with its scents but could not now enjoy it.
At this point he noticed two things. One, was that the girl had already gone, a soft stepping noise over the anarchy and he was on his own. The patrons staring at him as if to beg him to do something about the slaughter going on. And two, there was a fight going on, and he took a second before the thought struck him that he could miss it if he did not get a move on. It worried him how calm he was, standing up and walking outside as the ink was carving through the hollow ranks. She seemed to have this under control his brain assured itself, you can go back in and eat his stomach said. "You are a blithering imbecile" his zan threw in.
Sigh, she was right. He stepped back inside, making the waitress faint with shock, grabbed the bowl and stepped back outside. It was not an overestimation of his powers, merely what he deemed logical. He was hungry and needed food, there was murder that needed stopping. Why not do both at the same time?
Tipping the bowl back as he ran past the girl towards the deathly doom chasm in the air. He pulled it away from his mouth, spun/threw it up into the air and presented his first card. His body turning blacker than the hole itself in a way not unlike his colleagues ink as it rippled over him, he triple punched a row of weaker hollow, thier bodies turning to the same marble he was before violently shattering. His body returning to normal, catching the bowl neatly in his left hand and continued eating.
Techniques used:
Name: Abyss armour Class: Hand-To-Hand Tier: III Type: Defensive Range: Self Description: The user body is covered in a flawless pitch black marble look, that spreads over him from the hands at half-bala speed. When the user strikes or is striked by an object of equal or lower tier, it turns to black marble, and shatters into a natural form of it, not harming the user. The objects include but are not limited to walls, techs, and rolling boulders. Effect does not work against race items(zans, sealed dolls, quincy crosses etc), NPCs or OCs without OOC permission. Tech can be used as a base defensive(just blocks damage up to the tier) against melee, long ranged and h2h attacks. Lasts three posts.
