As you can see in the Kido Corps Signups there is a position available for a Ryodo-based specialist. Currently they are required to have Mastered Kido and Mastered Healing. Can I make it so that the option to spec. healing is available to this one position? I know it's usually squad 4 exclusive but the Kidoshu as the primary researchers in Kido based things would likely also have a spec. healing person? |

As it stands right now, spec healing is 4th squad only. Until healing gets updated (if that ever ends up happening) this will remain the rules because we've denied everything in the past that would give spec healing outside of squad 4.

A power could theoretically match specialized healing in terms of what it can heal, I'd imagine. But I'm pretty sure if you want to stitch -others'- wounds, you do need to be division 4.
If you wanted to go for the superhealer option on a human or a bount, you'd probably just tie it into your release, since they already get so much leeway.

yaksha Kind of correct. A release can match up to mastered healing, not specialized. The reason is is that a release mastery grants you the equivalent healing of the healing mastery level +1. I.e. Below Average Release lets you do what Average Healing can do. But Advanced is the last point where you can edit techniques on a release, meaning that you can do what a Mastered healer can do. When you mastery-up, you get more advantages but with healing they don't count for anything, it's all in the tech descriptions. I guess maybe I'll accept transfers from Squad 4 then.

As it stand now you can only have spec as a member of squad four. So leaving it will set you back to mastered. Its identical to how creation was in the past, in that the facilities of squad 4 are part of what gives the specialized mastery. |
