It was a morning like any other: The sun was rising, the Shinigami were starting to rise and get to their work and activities...
Just another work day. One Shinigami in particular was doing her usual job like anyone else: Sweeping the walkways and footpaths. Few paid attention to this Shinigami, even though everyone knew her name. They greeted her in passing: A good morning that would always earn a returning "Good Morning" back. A formality that one performs as a force of habit and as general courtesy and display of respect for a fellow co-worker.
This young Shinigami looked like a teenager, with auburn hair tied into twin braids and a broom in her hands that moved back and forth, clearing away dirt and obstruction to the passing of the other Shinigami making their way towards their various duties.
Nobody would even think this girl was actually the Twentieth Seat in the division, but she was. It was a low-ranking seat that could also be shared with a few others, but those were all doing more important jobs, probably relating to paperwork.
As the girl continued to sweep, she felt the spiritual pressure of someone approaching. Looking up, she got ready to greet that person. Who was this approaching person? Well, it could be anybody.

Eisuke wasn't really sure what he was doing. That being, his assignment today was to help clean the Seventh Division's barracks and their general grounds. After working just a little into his morning, however, he noticed a much smaller girl working hard at sweeping the walkways. She even cleaned better than Eisuke, moving at a much faster rate and somehow only he seemed to break a sweat while also leaving a trail of dust behind him. It was almost frustrating. Almost... Leaning his broom against the wall, Eisuke walked over to her, and coincidentally enough she turned to face him. Eisuke hadn't much to say but a question. "So why are you sweeping? I don't recognize you from the Yonbantai." Perhaps this was a little rude or sudden, though that was usually how Eisuke acted. Especially when tasked with something so menial...he was an actual doctor before, after all. It was almost hard to believe she was a Shinigami, though. She didn't look like much...but that didn't speak for the difficulty Eisuke had now in reading any spiritual presence from her. An anomaly of sorts, or so it would seem for the moment being. A man with blonde hair showed up and before she could greet him, he immediately fired a question about why she was sweeping. She didn't remember about the arrangement with the Fourth Division until now (after all, she definitely did not make that arrangement), so she just bowed and explained:
"That's because I'm part of the Nanabantai. This is more or less my job and I wouldn't have much else to do otherwise."
Well, Ichika supposed she could make a meal for the division, but that required a lot of prep work and other tasks, to the point where a last minute change in duty wouldn't be possible or fair.
"Speaking of jobs, why did the Yonbantai send you guys to do this, anyway? I'm sure the hospital could use the whole janitor job more, considering there's a large emphasis on providing safe and clean environments to get one's wounds treated."
The man kind of had the look that said that he didn't want to be here, either, but Ichika figured it was a bit too early to judge him, so she decided to remain passive and neutral.
"You don't have to speak of it if you don't want to." Ichika quickly added in case it happened to be some sort of punishment.
