Eisuke Inoue

Human Life
In his human years, Eisuke lived a lavish life and attended the most renowned schools in Japan. After graduating and moving onto college, his career path brought him to an internship with a hospital. Studying medicine for three years, he was soon engaged to his high-scool sweetheart. At age twenty-one they broke the news to their family; they had a child on the way.

Unbeknownst to them, however, Eisuke was to pass away before the child could be brought into the world. After a late night at the hospital, Eisuke was driving home and was struck head-on by a drunk driver. Killed on impact, it was not long before he became a plus soul.

Plus Soul
For two nights and days, Eisuke watched as the teethed chains devoured their own, the loss of each chain bringing great grief and frustration upon Eisuke; not to mention pain. Soon enough, as the chains lingered closer to his heart Eisuke let out a feral scream, clawing at the ground around him which caused his hands to grow bloodied. Another scream followed soon after...

A masked behemoth manifested before Eisuke, though as it did, so too did a black-robed silhouette. Within that moment he witnessed a bright flash, and the shower of blood erupting from the monster's severed mask. Before he could utter a word, Eisuke watched as the figure turned to him, extending the pommel of their sword and stamping him on the head. Another flash followed, though what came after was to be yet another surprise...

Rukongai Life
Life in the Rukongai was rough, but thanks to his experience as a pseudo-doctor (medical intern), Eisuke was able to find his place. However, he grew intolerant of the ruffians, and soon began practicing swordsmanship with a man he knew after having treated their daughter. After a time, he was finally able to put some of them to the sword; but not without consequence. He knew of them already; the Shinigami, but not what they had in store for him.

One morning after the day Eisuke finally put an end to the lives of the ruffians whom sought to steal and plunder from his district, he awoke to the same black-robed figure on the day of his conception into Seireitei. Yet again speechless, they drew their sword and demanded the same of Eisuke; she demanded he accept her challenge.

Caught off-guard, and held at sword-point, Eisuke furiously tuck-and-rolled out of his bed, grabbing the katana at the side of his bed as he took a kneel. Unsheathing the blade, Eisuke rose to his feet and brought the edge of his sword in a horizontal motion towards his...attacker, was it now?

For a prolonged duration, the two of them clashed swords and found themselves at a stalemate; however the lady soon employed a means of magic. "Bakudou", if he recalled, as his limbs were soon tied up, leaving Eisuke helpless and at her mercy.

Without much conversation, she relayed the information that Eisuke has killed her brother. Concurring on the fact he was admittedly immoral and displayed ill intentions, she then went on to speak of the Shinigami academy. Being low on promising students, she went on to explain that her assignment was testing Eisuke's skill with a sword, but most of all the resolve behind his every swing.

"You fight well.", she noted. "Genuine talent should never go to waste..." Further she went, pausing for a moment, wondering how Eisuke felt about it all. "You should join the academy and become a Shinigami." Listening to her words, Eisuke was gratified to concur that she held no ill will against him; but as for the offer? Eisuke shook his head, mentioning that he'd keep the gesture in mind, but wasn't all that sure of himself in terms of being trained and deployed as some sort of soldier.

As she left, Eisuke noticed a defeated look contorting her face, realizing the predicament he was in. Having killed her brother, and then barely being able to consider her offer? He could have been taken to a prison cell, of all things, but she wanted to see him...at her side?

Ridden with grief as he contemplated taking up arms to harm rather than heal, Eisuke was granted no sleep that following night. The only things he could think of were the chains eating away at themselves when he died, and the monster that had showed up...it was thanks to her that Eisuke had not suffered a more dire fate. Rising at sunrise with no sleep, Eisuke headed straight to the academy and found himself registering to become a Shinigami.

Academy Life

It took several years of training, but after all of it Eisuke witnessed this potential of his that seemed to be of some manner of importance. Having taken to studying Kidou (demon arts), along with the art of Hoho and Shunpo, he excelled in the top portion of his class. Graduating at a normal rate at his own discretion, Eisuke was soon inducted into the Goteijuusantai (Thirteen Court Guard Squads).

Shinigami Life
For the last decade Eisuke has taken to refining his studies, namely with his Zanpakuto and the art of Hoho/Shunpo. Upon graduating the academy and being placed in the Yonbantai (Fourth Division), he has since discovered his very own Shikai; which produces a secondary blade from his Zanpakuto's sheathe. Having realized it's name, Eisuke has now taken upon himself the task of mastering his Zanpakuto so that he may gain acknowledgment and thus enlightenment from it's spirit to attain his Bankai.
