Every single day now seemed like a burden. Out in the open wilderness of Karakura, not very far from the suburban scene, Abel finished striking down a meager Hollow with his Quincy Cross' sword. Right through it's head and mask, his sword dissipated at command once the Hollow did as well. "Boring..." It wasn't enough to keep him entertained for long, and it was because of fights like these that he felt he couldn't get any stronger.
Perhaps he should let the weak ones live, so that they may grow stronger put up more of a challenge? But at what expense would that be? Abel couldn't very well let innocent humans be consumed in the name of sport. He'd just have to find another way...
Walking along the edge of the city, Abel instead let his reiatsu leak out in an unchecked manner, hoping for anything of minute interest to show itself to him. Whether it was a fight or a simple chat, Abel craved do be doing something right now other than walking on his lonesome, waiting for the next pitiful Hollow to find itself an early grave.
'So what will it be?' The quincy continued his pace forward...
Notes: Veil of Unsightly Flesh is active along with Blue Vene and LC System. Two Seele are on her person along with Armor and Sword Unto Myself.
Tales untold wrapped within darkness, vile creatures loomed over their pitiable sacrifices. Creatures of Decay crawled about, hidden within alleyways where those hungry and cruel roamed. Within darkened skies light flickered loudly and the ones who ran did through the cold air, chill and sharp as a razor. Across crafted stone, between a maze of structures of stone and refine iron, the fog coming from their mouths was like the ominous breath of the hungry ghosts that followed.
The men who were running weren't decent people, they had taken lives like the beasts who followed behind. Life was normally good for them. In a way, they were Humans without hearts. They hungered for the finer things in life. Women, money, power, but as one of the two fired his gun he found it still bounced off the white mask of the beasts For any normal Human, even those who could harness just a small fragment of their spiritual power, against those creatures it meant little.
Of course, there were those who could crush Creatures of Decay. Julia walked with her Dark Hero armor dawned. She had her Armor Unto Myself on her left wrist, hidden underneath the gauntlet. With spiritual pressure suppressed, along with Skin of Unsightly Flesh further hiding her, she casually walked and didn't worry about the Hollow closing in on her direction. The two men trying to pass by Julia had both their faces grabbed by her hands and smashed into the wall, crushing their skulls.
"Filth." She spoke in a cold stoic tone, her expression calm and reserved just as her posture regal. "The Shinigami around here were slain by weaklings like you? Pathetic." Julia remarked as she formed Crystal Crescendo, sword form, in her left hand and slashed upwards to slice a Hollow in half. The second Hollow was meet in a similar manner as she bashed it with the side of her sword, crushing it's head.
Keeping his wits about him, Abel could identify a group of Hollow not far off from where he currently walked. With a few swift and thorough applications of his Hirenkyaku technique, the young male quincy happened upon a group consisting of two dead humans, two dead hollow, and...a girl with a bloodied sword that he had never seen before. 'Interesting...' His right hand flexed, the Quincy Cross fastened on the wrist dangling just below the confines of his sleeved trench coat.
"Hello there..." Walking at a slow pace once within twenty (20) meters, Abel kept a distance of roughly ten (10) meters from the girl as he moved in for a closer look. She gave off nothing, not a single trace of reiatsu. Yet he knew that must have been a lie, for she could see the hollow, and even cut them down. Nothing was ordinary about her.
Pointing towards the two dead humans up against the wall, Abel decided to inquire about it beyond speculations. "This your doing?" Of course, knowing all too well that she was not obliged to answer, he anticipated some sort of retaliation instead. Abel even went as far as to ponder how she would.
Mankind feared what it didn't understand then reacted stupidly based off mere assumptions. Not every Human fell into confusion and dismay when faced with the unknown, Julia being one of those very few. She also didn't care much for politics nor what scum littered the streets with vile acts. When one died another popped up, much like a hydra's heads. The two corpses behind were just an example of the filth that scuttled around. They were similar to Hollow but both Beast and Trash simply fed themselves to sate a never ending desire, but both were disgusting.
"A few hours ago they took a man hostage because he refused to pay them protection money." Julia replied to the man's question. His presence didn't set her off beforehand when he began approaching. His Reiatsu wasn't aggressive nor did he appear as if he would attack when she turned so her right side faced him. Her blade was brought to rest on her right shoulder. A cold expression carried with it an air of authority, calm and collected. "So I simply took out the trash, and the extra that followed."
Julia was referencing the Hollow that gave chase. She wasn't irritated and simply walked and talked like killing was an everyday occurrence. But while Hollow and criminals were everyday, she was curious about him having a Quincy Cross, and even partly pointed towards it with her left pointer finger and took a single step forwards so to face him. "Quincy are a rare thing these days." She spoke as if there wasn't much meaning behind it, or change her tone from before.
"Well, we don't exactly live forever, y'know." It would have been pleasing to say he could tell, but generally speaking Abel wasn't capable of telling anything about the girl based off her non-existent reiatsu. The lack of a Hollow mask or hole made it pretty convincing she wasn't an Arrancar or something of that nature, although Fryst was able to conceal that about herself...so this girl could too.
"If you don't mind me asking, what does that make you? Perhaps another of my kind, by chance?" He wondered if that was the significance the moment was to her when she mentioned the rarity of Quincy these days. It would be a lot more reassuring than his last encounter, where he was talking to an Arrancar that could have easily taken his head.
"Or should I be worried you're something else entirely?" The possibility was definitely there, although to think that he couldn't sense them...Quincy were known to have a technique that made them appear completely human. If that were the case, he could let his guard down, although until Abel heard the words he readied himself for a quick escape.
