It had been a long day, while on the surface the heat had beat down and created an undesirable heat, the top of Olympus had remained relatively cool, though some of her soldiers still sought shade during their rest periods from training. Emilia, on the other hand, had retreated to her study in an attempt to decipher some of the writings her father had left behind. There was nothing of great importance, or philosophical knowledge but she had hoped there would be something to help her, to guide her and let her know she was going down the right path. There was nothing but quotes of power, of death, and how to be a strong leader. Some of it useful, but not what she was looking for at the moment. Sighing she placed a book down on the desk and rubbed her temples and forehead, barely noticing the soft knocking on her door. "Athena? I apologize for my interruption." She waved it off and gestured for the Oracle to enter, a woman she had learned to trust and rely on. "It's quite alright. I was just going to take a break anyway." The woman entered and closed the door behind her, smiling and picking up one of the books sprawled out on the desk. "Find anything helpful?" Emi shook her head. "No. My father was... strong but he was no philosopher. Most of his writings are about taking things by force, and with raw power. It might help during war, but not in the planning phase." She smiled but shrugged it off. "Now, is there something I can help you with, Oracle? It is not often you visit me without just cause." The woman smiled softly, and placed the book back down on the desk.
"I found another." Emi looked up at her with a questioning look. "Another?" The Oracle nodded. "Another Olympian. I saw a Hollow by the name of Tyrannus. He holds immense power and would be a great benefit to our cause." Emi perked up now, rising to her feet. "What do we know of him?" The Oracle shook her head. "Only what my vision allows me to see. He is of Vasto Lorde class and does not hold any love for the Shinigami. Although you may hold the appearance of one, I believe with enough convincing, he would gladly join our cause. We cannot pass up this opportunity, Athena." She nodded. "Gather my personal escort."
They had gathered near the twelve thrones of Olympus, Emi with two guards standing at her side, and the Oracle. "Where do we find this Tyrannus?" The Oracle turned and waved her hand, two large pillars descended from the sky, a portal opening between them. "You will find him roaming the desert of Hueco Mundo. It is dangerous, but with your prior experience of it, I'm sure you will have no problem finding him." She nodded and took a step forward. "Or perhaps he will find us." She stepped through, two guards in tow, and immediately felt the sand beneath her feet.
"Athena, do not stray far from us. The Hollow here are plenty and will not hesitate to attack you." Emilia nodded. "That is what I intended." She smiled and began to walk through the desert. Her personal escort immediately drew spear and shield, following her closely, and constantly surveying the landscape around them for any potential threats.
The desert stretched out endlessly in welcome to their sudden appearance. Its vast daunting dunes stretching out for what seemed like eons. This was a wasteland and verily so for nothing lived long on these dunes, their very entrance to the domain of the dead was greeted with an eerie silence, the nervous calm before the storm. For the weak this would be terrifying, their nerves would be on end, their minds awash with creatures only terrified imaginations could conjure; the weakminded would snap within minutes, their more stronger counterparts would soon follow, this wasn't their domain of course, they were in a strange territory, where the roles of predator and prey could switch within an instant.
A shadow fell across the sands behind them, looming over the trio like the coming of death itself. This would be their first test, or rather their last, for their entry awakened a beast of terrifying power, as the apex predator he laid claim to his kill and all potential scavengers would keep their distance till he had his fill. Should they turn to face him they would find themselves faced with a behemoth of a hollow, standing at 7 foot; his large muscular frame the most obvious feature, followed by the orangish golden fur on his tail. At a glance it looked as large as a mans arm if not three or four times as long. His piercing golden eyes would tear into their very souls as a hellish smile tore at his facial features, revealing a set of fang like teeth linked together in a menacing fashion.
More ape than man, yet more man than ape he daunted the lines between human and animal, his body hairy if not furry, large trunk like arms stood to his side, arms that could kill a fully grown man with but a sweep. It was not chance that had brought him here, this was not a fateful occurence, he had smelled power in the air; it called to him, bid him hearken, and he responded in kind. His eyes panned across his line of victims, the two carrying spears and shields would be easy pickings, their bodies were frail and their minds even frailer, though they masked their fear well, he could see it in their eyes, deep down it lurked waiting to be freed.
The one they guarded however looked significantly stronger, she might just entertain him as well.
It's funny you speak like you actually have a means of protecting her. . .
The words rumbled from his lips like the tremors of an earthquake, deep and unsettling. It wasn't hard to guess that they were protecting her, but she might as well have come alone if this was all she had in terms of protection. Golden, flamelike reiatsu began to swirl around his body in excitement.
I'm actually curious now as to how you would protect her, but I warn you. . . I will at least be taking one life today so choose who it is among you that will offer themselves to the void.
For most it would be unsettling, venturing into the lands of the Hollow with only a group of three, into the heart of enemy territory, but Emi had been here before and survived. It was not a land she was overly familiar with, but it was not exactly new to her, either. This is where her father had done battle with the fourth espada and barely escaped with his life, this is where they spent a full month trying to figure out how to escape these blasted sands, and yet here she was, willingly venturing into a place they once so desperately tried to escape. This was different, though, there was no desire for a fight, for an invasion, yes she wanted to draw attention, but only to bring out the one they call 'Tyrannus'. With each step she took, her white robe bellowed behind her, there was an unusual wind that you would not expect in a place like this, but it was the only thing to break the silence between the trio, that, and the soft taps of their sandaled feet touching sand. Then she stopped, dead in her tracks, the two Olympian guards halting and coming to full attention. "Athena?" She turned just as the voice spoke out, the two soldiers spinning on their feet and entering a defensive stance, crouched low with their shields in front of them, and spear placed over top. She looked up at the behemoth of a Hollow, resembling that of a large ape creature, but her shock soon turned to a smile. The Oracle had failed to give her a physical description of the Vasto they sought, but somehow she knew this was the one they were after.
"Athena! Behind us!" The woman shook her head and continued to smile up at the Hollow. "It is quite alright. I do not frighten easily." She would have much preferred to avoid any combat at all, and simply get straight to business but it appeared that this Hollow would not be so easily swayed. She felt the reiatsu swirling around him before she saw it, it was heavy, powerful, and nearly overwhelming. Good, this is what she was after. Although she was not nearly as strong as him, she was curious to see his power, to have a little show. Even if it meant taking a little bit of a beating. "Hand me my sword." The soldier on the right glanced up at her. "Athena?" She stepped forward and passed them. "My sword." The man nodded and reached behind him, removing a sheathed zanpakuto and handed it to Athena. Holding it by the center of the sheath, she made no advance towards the Hollow, but spoke to him. "You have my attention, Hollow. Come, allow me to see a sliver of that power you so proudly boast of." To most, this seemed like suicide, but she had everything under control. Hopefully.
The grim smile warped morbid, fang like teeth making the briefest of cameos upon his lips as she stepped forward, her lackeys handing her her weapon. How odd that she would not carry it herself, perhaps royalty had spoiled what would otherwise have been a killer instinct; then again he had no need for weapons either way. His gaze pierced into hers before sliding onto the two behind her.
You'd have this woman defend you? what of the bravado you spoke of but moments earlier?
Pitiful, if they were indeed strong as they said she would not have needed to step forward. No doubt a ploy to spare lives. His large fingers twitched for a moment as his eyes returned to hers, dark and defiant but not without fear. She knew she was outmatched and yet was prepared to risk much more to fight him, an unusually admirable look for one as petite as her. Even more admirable was the tone of her voice, commanding and assertive then again it might have been a front for those she tried to protect but still nonetheless a point of note.
Interesting. . .
As he spoke his reiatsu grew in volume, fanning from the flickers of an ember to a bright golden bonfire, as with the weaker opponents it always took a little something to get him into the mood but it was also a good measure of resolve; to see if what he was facing was indeed more than just the brave words that it ,or rather she, had so easily spoken.
You'd rather fight me yourself knowing little of my powers rather than sacrifice an ally in order to better understand my capabilities.
Obviously given the gap in their strength such an avenue was pointless since he would dispatch either of her bodyguards so quickly she'd have gained nothing from the venture, but he wanted to gauge her intelligence, no doubt she wasn't here for your average stroll. Craning his head from left to right as the soft crackle of bones shifting into place could be heard.
Very well then. . .
The bonfire of reiatsu, as well as his large frame vanished; appearing right before her with the speed and ferocity only a sonido could achieve, positioned somewhat diagonally above her far enough that she could register but close enough that a reflex or instinctive swing of her blade would prove futile, his legs tucked just slightly above his own waist as they hovered but centimeters from either of her shoulders. As sudden as his appearance, both legs would cannon out of their suspended position towards either shoulder.
The direct kick was aimed to, if it connected, floor her given his position and obvious advantage in size. Given she was a sword user, losing the use of her arms would immediately take her out of the fight; but at the same time should she dodge, he would be able to land quickly enough should she try to counter. His large tail remained behind him to that effect in anticipation of such.
He spoke in an attempt to belittle both her, and those that served her, as if expecting some sort of outburst of rage or insult, but it merely caused her to smile. It was true that she was constantly surrounded by bodyguards but it was less about cause, and more about stature. She was in a position of power, and this was how things worked. There was no reason to try and explain it to this creature, she wasn't here to explain position. While she watched his display of reiatsu boasting, she shifted her weight to the right leg, gripping the sheath of her zanpakuto tighter, preparing for whatever the ape-man had planned for her. She was outmatched in almost every regard but she only needed to endure, last long enough to gauge the extent of his power and determine whether or not this was the Hollow she sought. She heard it before she saw it, the familiar crack of a sonido, displaying a speed that she had not seen in quite some time. Still, her reflexes kicked in, utilizing a shunpo of her own, she moved ten feet ahead, narrowly dodging a bone crushing strike to her shoulders, stumbling slightly out of her shunpo, his feet having just grazed her as she moved. "I must admit, your speed is quite impressive. If I was unfamiliar with Hollow and their abilities, I may very well have been laying dead beneath your feet." She smiled at him and straightened up, the guards that once stood behind her now backed away from the Hollow, not daring to interfere with their queen's fight.
"It seems I'm going to have to even this battle up a little bit..." Raising her right hand to her face, she slowly pulled it from the top of her forehead and down across her face, reiatsu swirling around her as a mask covered her face, one that you would see an assassin wearing. She exhaled sharply as the sand around her kicked out. She was still at a disadvantage, but it would at least buy her a little more time. "That's better. Now, where were we?" Her voice had changed, now holding a voice mixed between a Hollow and that of her own. Drawing her zanpakuto from its sheath and holding it in front of her, she discarded the sheath and threw it to the sand. "Ah, yes.." Glancing just above Tyrannus and to the left, two large red orbs of Hollow energy began to form, she had every intent to completely engulf him with two cero's. Not only that but it allowed only two directions to move; towards her, or to the right.
Description: Having focused more on the Hollow side of powers, Emi has learned to use Cero in a much more versatile way. No longer is she limited to charging a beam via a limb, instead, she needs only to look where she wishes the Cero to form and the energy will begin to form there. At her current level of mastery, she is capable of charging a total of two cero at a time in any given empty space, however upon mastered, she may have a total of three.
His feet crashed solidly into the sands, sending waves of the stuff rippling out around him as he sunk a few centimeters into the dunes; crouching into the impact so as to prevent himself from sinking too deep. As anticipated she wasn't underneath him, rather she had dodged some 10 or so meters ahead. Even so she fumbled about in her manner and though it seemed like he paid it no mind he couldn't help but smile a little wider, given that this was indeed the desert of hueco mundo the sands had masked the true force of his landing despite the waves that he'd sent rippling around him like water, no doubt the sheer ferocity and speed had caught her off guard, though she had done quite well to mask it.
The gap between them set, he slowly rose once again to his full height, his golden eyes directing themselves to the sound of her voice as she appraised his power. As flattering as it was he needed no reminder of his power, scores of carcasses had lined his path before and even after this encounter; he was a menace, a terror, the desert made him and recognized him as such. Her words would simply confirm that which he'd known since he'd set foot on these dunes.
The smile grew into a grin as she reached for her face, pulling what seemed to be a mask over it, the gaze in her eyes a little more similar to his this time, her voice notably altered but more importantly, her reiatsu spiked. Considerably so, for whilst the two could not sense it he could feel it bubbling underneath the surface just waiting to be unleashed. Sadly it seemed to plateau just below his expectations but now they could have some decent amount of fun.
Ooooh, you didn't tell me you had some hollow inside you.
His fingers twitched excitedly, sensing the accumulating reiatsu above him and to his left. Though she had performed no obvious motion aside from discarding her sheath the cero's were no doubt hers, a commendable skill that was a testament to her now hollow nature. The smile warped into a grin as the titan stayed perfectly still, more than aware of the orbs of energy amassing larger and larger above him.
They would engulf him in a sea of red, both bright and large enough to put the very moon to shame, a cloud of dust and sand rising from the explosion. Obscuring his large frame from view for all their size and power the cero had done nothing, the energy generated was tremendous, but she was still far too inferior to cause him any kind of damage. For a few moments a tense silence hung, pelted by the sounds of falling sand and debris.
My turn!
As the ominous voice echoed from within the cloud the female would find her feet rooted to the very spot where she stood, not a single muscle would respond to her mental command should she try and attempt it, before this would even settle Tyrannus' gigantic form would obscure her vision, the loud whip crack of sonido carrying him forward, assuming exactly the same position as he had in their first exchange, his legs kicked out once again; her shoulders their intended target as he attempted to spring board off her into the air.
Name: Telekinesis 2.0 Class: Hollow Power Tier: III-VII Type: Offensive/Defensive/Binding Range: 0-100m Description: The more refined, deadlier end of Tyrannus' telekinesis, this power translates as a unique type of binding that can be manipulated offensively or defensively to suit the vastos need, anything he sees or senses within 100 diameter of himself falls victim to this telekinesis, even techniques are not exempt from his power as he can halt reishi/reiatsu/reiryoku and redirect the technique ( using an equal or greater tier of course), though he cannot form blows, he can push, pull (apart or together), crush, mash together anything withing range, the strength of which is equivalent to a bakudo of similar tier, however the strength of his telekinesis still wanes with distance and as such only at close quarters is the full power of his telekinesis realized such that:
Drawback: The tiers are locked into the aforementioned distances, as such extending or travelling telekinetic techniques weaken as they travel farther from the user, losing a tier every 10m after the initial 30m.
OOC: Used Telekinesis to hold your feet in place. Binding equivalent to a TIV Bakudo
Had this been a fight on equal footing, her grand display of overwhelming power would have surely ended the life of the enemy before her, but she knew better. This Hollow was strong and knew that he would either dodge it, or the damage done to him would be minimal. It didn't matter though, her intent was never to so severely damage him that she would come out victorious, her purpose was to search for an individual that would be a perfect match for Olympus. She stared at the blast zone, watching the sand pelt down around them, it was quiet. Until the damned Hollow spoke, and appeared before her once more. She widened her eyes under the mask and attempted to move, but it was no good. He had positioned himself the same way as before, intending to take use of her arms away. She couldn't shunpo and had nothing to defend against the attack, so instead, she merely twisted her body in a way that it would only strike her left shoulder. And it did. And it hurt like hell. The blow not only shattered her left shoulder, but sent her rolling across the sandy dunes, coming to a stop a good sixty feet away. The pain was absolutely overwhelming, but she forced herself to her feet with the aid of her Zanpakuto. She had lost all function of her left arm and knew this fight was over.
The two guards she had brought with her had immediately rushed over to check on her, but she had gestured to them that she was fine. "I've had worse." She chuckled slightly and looked over to the Hollow. This was the man she was searching for. It was undeniable now, His ferocity, his power, it would be a great addition to Olympus. "It seems that my traveling to Hueco Mundo was not in vain.... I've found you.." She smiled as the Hollow mask on her face cracked, and broke away. "Tyrannus." There was no need to continue this battle, not that she really could, even with Bankai, she had lost use of an arm and it put her at an even bigger disadvantage. "I concede, however my business here is not finished. I have an offer for you, and I believe you'll find it most... tempting." The smile never faded, though it was far more soft as opposed to her confident attitude earlier.
That was the thing with one sided fights, they always ended too quickly. Especially given how gung ho the vasto was in battle and how he tended to push more than need be; this was made evident by the give he felt neath his feet as it collided with her body. The look of surprise on her face was indeed pleasing though, the instinctive flash of fear that spasmed acorss her eyes was somewhat satisfying as it added to the impact, the collision seemed to send her flying into the dunes and it was then that he knew it was well and truly over. A disappointing scowl lined the vasto's features, he hated getting himself worked up just to be let down like this, even worse was that it was getting to be a frequent occurrence. It was the worst kind of blue balls, given how he loved to simply cut loose.
I'm disappointed
Her pawns scurried about her, he remembered his earlier words about claiming a life and pondered at taking one of those lower beings she called henchmen, but that was no fun and this fight would do nothing for him or her. Turning to walk away he would let the lesser hollows have at his now considered sloppy seconds. That was until he heard her call out his name, the notion of an offer seemed to catch at him, she was in absolutely no position to negotiate anything with him, yet she chose to do so regardless. His head slowly rotated about his body to stare at her with one eye.
If its anything like your fighting then you'll forgive me if I'm not immediately interested. . .
Curiosity however got the better of him as it always did and he would allow her at least an ear to whatever it was she would suggest.
Besides, what would a halfling like you offer me that I couldn't have or take anyway?
Using her Zanpakuto as a walking stick, she began to close the distance between the two of them, her guards in tow and with shields raised just in case. She could only smile at his words, because in reality she really had nothing of overly great interest to a being who in theory, could take whatever he wanted. However, the fact that she did not lay dead at his feet right now meant that she had gotten his curiosity, which was more than enough. She winced slightly as the pain began to increase, after this, she would certainly have to visit a healer in order to get this fixed, though she imagined it would be quite some time before it was fully functional again. "My name is Athena, and I represent Olympus. You speak truth when you say there is not much I can offer you. Power? You already have that. Money has no value in a world like ours. We have women, should that interest you, however what I can offer you is a place to belong." Not everyone was seeking for a place in this world, some were merely content on being alone, wandering, getting stronger. Her father was that way for quite some time. However, as the Hollows grew stronger, so did the Shinigami, and soon they would outnumber even them. "There are others like you, Tyrannus. Beings of such immense power, with like-minded ideals. I'm gathering them. You would walk among Gods, and your enemies will tremble at the mere mention of your name." She grinned with a look of ferocity. "And I can promise you war. You will be handed Shinigami to your very feet, and you will be free to slaughter them without mercy, I intend to destroy the Gotei and recreate Olympus in their world. We will reshape how this world works, and only the strong will survive."
She stopped a few feet away from him, signalling for her guards to lower their shields and stand at attention. "Besides, my power is dormant, and when it awakens, we can have a rematch. I will show you what a God is truly capable of." Behind her, pillars erupted from the sand and opened a portal of blinding white, allowing entry to Olympus. [b'}So what do you say? Will you join me on Olympus? You will be granted the name Poseidon, like the sea, your power is overwhelming and many will be swept away. I require only your loyalty, and aid in this war."
Athena. . . .Olympus, the very names hung heavy with the notion of ideals and was no doubt her real name, yet she knew his, which was by and part his fault for having garnered for himself a deadly reputation, but she knew his none the same. He couldn't help but chuckle at her offer of women, there were those who did share a lustful allure for the monstrous but even they had yet to come across him, even so it was something he did not care for in the slightest. Battle was his greatest joy, pain and adrenaline his drug, he only achieved true climax when the bodies of those before him lay spattered across the ground in a canvas of crimson and entrails.
I have no need to belong, I didn't get to where I am riding in the comfort of multitudes. . .
Camaradarie, the chance to align one's self with a host of other similar individuals, whilst that notion was tempting, it was more so for the chance to cross his fist with theirs or whatever other weapon they had, camaraderie would only serve to be the shackle of his desire until such a time when he was able to . . . .
"And I can promise you war. You will be handed Shinigami to your very feet, and you will be free to slaughter them without mercy, I intend to destroy the Gotei and recreate Olympus in their world. We will reshape how this world works, and only the strong will survive."
He cared not for the end of that speech, the creation of a new world was always the talk of one individual or other, no it was the destruction of the gotei that rang strong in the ashen titan's ears like the sweet aroma of a barbecue, pictures of a battlefield littered with the dark robed gods of death plundered his mind. War. . . the very word sending tingles along his long spine and tail, in but an exchange of words this halfling knew him a lot better than others would and in some aspects she would gain some mild respect from him in that regards.
I have only two conditions. . .
He said as the sandy pillars rose behind her, his golden eyes drifting to her guards flinching at the sound of his voice, they were so close to the portal that they could run away, not that that would be beyond them to do so.
The first, you say your name is Athena, the name of the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy, an excellent name were I to work for an ideal.
His tail twirling and untwirling around his body as he spoke.
But I do not work for an ideal, neither do I, nor you, accurately represent ideals of power, I will slay shinigami for you and whatever agenda you serve but not under the name Athena, you will tell me your real name just as you know mine.
Turning his attention briefly to his knuckles, spending a moment to crack each one while he pondered his second condition.
When your power does awaken like you say, we will have a rematch and if you hold back even an iota of your power. . . .
He paused momentarily, primarily so he could hear her name but also to allow the silence to finish his sentence for him, swallowing his true intent and no doubt allowing the imagination of the hearer to take control.
She knew that it would capture his attention, the desire to crush and destroy the Soul Society, to lay waste to the 'death gods'. They were self proclaimed, and had given themselves the responsibility of protecting the human world, yet they failed even the most simple of tasks. Now it was her turn, and upon his agreeance of his service, she smiled wider. Like many, he had terms and conditions, of course. It's not like she wouldn't accommodate but he would reap more rewards than risk, there were few Shinigami who could stand up to his might, but even those that could would find themselves buried under the might of Olympus and its Gods. He wished to know her name but she merely shook her head at his term. "It is true I was given my name by my father, Zeus, but do not misunderstand. The names do not merely represent power, but position, purpose but I can agree to your term, to an extent. I will tell you my name, but upon Olympus, our mortal names will not be used. There, we are Gods and nothing less, and in times of battle, we will know each other only as Olympian Gods." She stared at him for a moment, to make her point clear. "In the mortal realm, I am Emilia, though most call me Emi. I am Athena everywhere else. And you? You are Tyrannus here, but Posiedon upon Olympus." There would be no debate on the matter, they were given these names for a reason, and she would follow tradition.
However his second term brought a smile back to her face, and this time she nodded. It was a term she would gladly agree to, because when her power did finally awaken, she would wish to test it out, and Tyrannus would suit that role perfectly. "We will fight again, have no fear of that. I look forward to testing out my true power, but until then.... let us go to Olympus. Come, see your new throne, and soon you will bathe in the blood of Shinigami." Turning, her guards entered the portal first, and then Emilia followed, on the other side, they would emerge upon Olympus, a true sight to behold.
The name echoed with power, a strong name if not a respectable one. He'd have returned his own name had she not already gone to the trouble of looking into him. Still the name would afford her a slight nod and a pensive smile from the ashen titan's lips, they would know each other by their olympian names for now and in front of her cohorts he would oblige that alias. But in his eyes he would know of her true name and her halfling nature . . . not forgetting of course her tantric reiatsu and the power she exuded in their fight; even now his nostrils rang with the echoes of her new scent, no doubt she had great potential and once realized she would be a sizeable morsel of an opponent indeed, no doubt time would prove the greatest tender of this fruit.
Poseidon
The name rang through his mind as he stepped through the portal she had made, into unfamiliar territory, he had yet to fully experience this place and whilst normally he'd have paid it no mind given that he would be conducting his business here from now on he took a moment, letting his reiatsu pan out to explore the area. Perhaps the name was more fitting than he assumed, his power was indeed overwhelming like the oceans and waves of foes littered his path in hueco mundo. She knew him a little too well with that name choice and the thought of it brought a glimmer of a grin to his lips now.
Impressive
The environment definitely reeked of order, of standing and authority, but of standing and authority gained by one's true power, amongst these he stood out as the monster, rather a god. . . . a god of the sea at that.
I take it I am to wait for you to recruit more people like myself before the battle with the shinigami starts then?
His eyes panned the land, taking all of it in a final time. The shinigami would indeed drown in a sea of their own blood before him.
Things were slowly falling in to place now, each piece of the puzzle had begun to fit and would eventually form one picture. She had already spoke to Ares and gained his support in the war, her army grew every day, and now she had recruited another God to her cause. It would only be a matter of time before each of those thrones were sat upon and destruction rained down upon Soul Society. The Shinigami would cease to exist, her father would return, and they would recreate the world. Together. As Poesidon stepped through her portal, she followed, with the two guards in tow. The gate closing behind them, she stopped to allow the Vasto to fully take in all that was Olympus, and to appreciate its beauty, its power. There were still some portions under repair, time had eroded away some of its ancient monuments, but for the most part, it was intact and literally radiated with the power of the old Gods. Their secrets, knowledge, and tactics would all be made known to her and the others, but the scholars needed time to work. Smiling at his words, she merely nodded her head. "Beautiful, isn't it? What you see, and what you feel? It is only a portion of what Olympus has to offer. There is more. Below us lay Tartarus, where many secrets lay. Even now, my scholars work to uncover it all." Their soldiers were unique, powerful, but there were more.
There monsters of legend that they would use to their advantage. "War will come soon, Poseidon. Even now, my Oracle searches for more like you, and she has not failed me yet. Ares has joined my cause and there are many others that seek a place to belong. I will provide them with such." She moved, wincing, remembering that her shoulder was broken. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must have my wounds tended to. Please, feel free to explore, immerse yourself in the mountain. Seek its power." She began to walk away, retreating to her healers and the Oracle. Stopping momentarily. "Be patient, Poseidon. There will be much to conquer in due time." And with that, she was gone.
She was right about one thing, the place did look appealing, nestled upon the very clouds themselves as though carried by them the buildings rose and sank into them as though they were as strong as teh very concrete land itself. In all his time he had yet to see the mastery of architecture as he did here, yet he did not allow himself fully to engage in awe, all buildings fell to time no matter how spectacular. No their power would not come from the view but from the strength of the gods she had supposedly recruited, these building would only house power and not contain them and to that extent the beast king restrained himself, still he had to admit it was a true spectacle if he ever saw one.
Beauty is temporary and fleeting, and always subjective, Athena.
He spoke not breaking away to look at her, it was easy to get carried away with the image of grandeur and power, for the very earth stood below the clouds upon which they stood, one might as well mistake them for gods, but no there was work to be done, the shinigami would not slay themselves nor would they be slain willingly.
