♛ Meilin stood in the middle of the training grounds, waiting for her partner to show up. She'd arrived fifteen minutes ahead of their scheduled meeting time, but that was just out of habit for her. She didn't like being late, and being right on time seemed just a bit too...cliche for her taste. She wore the usual black garb of the shinigami, both her zanpakutō hanging on her left as she crossed her arms underneath her bosom. More to help support them than anything else.
She sighed and walked over to a near by tree where she sat herself, resting her back against the tree she waited for the arrival of Tatsuya senpai. He was such a serious old man, well he wasn't old, but the way he acted you'd think he was. She closed her blue eyes and relaxed herself. She'd been with the noble guard for sometime now, though Tatsuya had been there longer than her. He was almost more experienced than she was a shinigami overall and as such she'd hoped to learn a few tricks of the trade from the elder man. Or at least develop her own style better. That was only if he ever showed up however! ulla |

~Tatsuya Akiba ML~ | A gourd of sake slung by a rope over his shoulder as he walked into the training grounds. He was only like... fifteen minutes late give or take ten.. maybe.. sorta. But it was their day off and he had chosen to train with the ever attractive Mei-chan. His sword sister as it were, sort of.. She was a noble guard like him. He spotted her as he rounded the bend and gave a little wave.
"Mei-chan, sorry about the wait, there was a line at the store but I managed to get us a little celebratory gift.."
He had a smirk on his face, not really sure what to expect or well.. anything really. Mei was very talented at not only most martial skills but she was quick too, the thing they had in common was a disdane for kido because after all.,. why use it when you have a sword or two of them at your disposal?

Phantasmal Speed: Picking this perk will grant the Shinigami a x2 boost to natural speed and agility at Beginner Zanpakutou Spirit Mastery, increasing to that of x3 once Average, not affecting stepping speed. Since if you had larger muscles it would critically hamper their mobility, passive increasing of strength becomes impossible, and activated strength buffs cannot exceed x1.5.
You may also temporarily heighten your concentration to the utmost achieve impeccable feats of evasion. At Average, you can dodge nigh point blank Cero speed. This can occur once every two posts. Naturally one has to be aware the attack is coming however, lest no amount of focus will help. Can't be used to attack.

Range: Self
Description: This ability allows the user to ensure their blade hit's its mark through any barrier or obstacle. The ability allows Tatsuya to phase the blade of his zanpaktou through defenses, barriers and anything else of even or lesser advantage and tier when striking. This "phasing" only works on non organic matter, so once the blade hits flesh, it phases back to strike in whatever manner the user is striking with the zanpaktou (slash, thrust etc etc).

♛ "Tatsuya-senpai! You're late!." She'd been sitting there for thirty minutes. Lucky for him, she was a patient girl, though her rapidly tapping right index upon her left elbow would tell that her patience had begun to wear thin.She stood with her arm crossed under her bosom her blues eyes glancing at the gourd. With a quick flash step she appeared behind Tatsuya, no doubt he was faster than her, but perhaps she could catch him off guard here. As she went by before she exited her step she attempted to relieve him of the sake gourd he was holding.
"Hmm, what kinda sake did ya get?" she asked upon exiting her step about ten meters behind him, regardless of whether or not she got the gourd. "It better be really good if it made you fifteen minutes late." It wasn't often she drank sake, but whenever she did it was usually with Tatsuya. Though she wasn't quite sure what he meant by celebratory. She looked over to Tatsuya. "And what are you talking about, what are we celebrating Tatsuya-senpai?" Her blue eyes stared into his own, as if she was trying to peer into his soul.
