The sky began to fill with cracks of bright, yet ebony light. Falling, falling.... more particles seem to flow out from these gaps than before, collecting in large numbers and consuming the world around them. The threat continues to grow. Those brave enough to have fought the spirits before were consumed by darkness, sent to a world that can no longer be reached. The precipice world is no longer accessible via a Senkaimon Gate, or Garganta, or whatever other method to travel from realm to realm. The danai is now home to a complex distortion, mass of the dangai walls forming into spirits as they disperse again and quickly disappear. The outside worlds are in turmoil; large towers began to erect from different areas across the three realms, attacking people, souls and hollows nearby. These towering structures seem to be be composed of the same material of the spirits and possess nearly the same abilities.
A new wave of spirits may come, perhaps stronger than the first wave... the source of these creatures... they must be destroyed.
Those in the dangai world... there is something within, something omnipresent and at the same time, off in the distance. Not to worry, due to what has happened, time has begun travelling at equal pace to that of the outside world... so no training! Locate the source!
A splash echoed out as Seran's body was regurgitated into the precipice world, the strange mass of particles that had consumed him melding away into the ground beneath him. His body twitched an writhed as residual energy from the particles reacted with his reiatsu, before it too faded back into the liquid around him. After a moment he rose, the spiritual shock to his vessel slowly wearing off. Liquid dripped from his hair as slowly got off his hands and knees, shaking off the strange sensation of the dangai particles. He ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it out of his eyes in order to examine his surroundings.
Fog sat heavy on the area around him, hiding anything discernible from his sight. He turned a complete 360 degrees, wiping more of the liquid off his face with a sleeve, it was all the same purplish gray. His movement caused a sloshing sound in the knee deep liquid around him and his eyes were drown downward, through the clear liquid, to the substance on which he currently stood. It was soft, but not like sand or mud, but living tissue, and its color and appearance shot chills down his spine.
Is this.....
His eyes widened as the realization hit him. But no, that was impossible. The Dangai didn't look like this, and this liquid.... he had no memory of anything like this within the precipice world. Those things.... the strange evolving spirits he had encountered, could this be their doing? A million questions gnawed him, but standing around here theorizing would get him no where. The black iron making up his clothing rippled, and the material below his knees faded away, there was no point in keeping fabric around that would slow him when wet. As he finished he looked off into the fog again.
"Dunno about you. But I think that's where we need to go." A voice fro behind Seran piped up. The Mod Soul would have most likely sensed Liam's coming. Appearing behind him in a blur of Hirenkyaku, Liam gave the Mod Soul a cheerful wave. Almost as if the severity of the situation had little to no effect on him.
But that was simply how Liam was. He had yet to be exposed to danger in this realm. So for now he would remain his usual carefree self. He had an idea of how much was at stake. But there was little point in getting worked up about it. Stress would simply lead to him making mistakes and acting hasty. The best option for him was to simply remain calm and plan his way through this one step at a time.
The first step of course, would be meeting up with anyone else who happened to find themselves here. It was rather unlikely that Liam would be the only one to show up. This stage seemed to be far too important for just a single actor to strut about. Especially one like Liam, while his resolve was up there with the best of them. His raw power was sorely lacking. The main protagonist of this little act he was certainly not.
"So are you going in mostly blind like me, or do you actually know what to do?" Aside from the brief explanation Urahara gave him. Liam knew next to nothing about this world he had found himself in. While he could gather that destroying the tower was his main objective, he had no idea how to go about it.

~Fryst Dronning AL-A~
It was a normal day for fryst, she waved to the vendors on the street as she walked along towards the dance studio. Her hair up in her regular braid on her left shoulder. The weather was beautiful in Karakura town, it was a perfect day.. so far. She felt a little pang of annoyance as her senses picked up a shinigami's reiatsu flaring not far away, it was fighting something but what? She stopped as her curiousity got the best of her, humming a soft song as she turned into a back alley and disappeared in a buzz of static re appearing about twenty yards away from the scuffle, her hands shooting up over her mouth in surprise, the shinigami was in bad shape! He had blood flowing down from his hairline. The thing.. whatever it was, was going in for the final blow, so Fryst acted on instinct leaving a shockwave of dust behind her as she sprinted forward at almost impossible speeds she knocked the shinigami out of the way as the creatures technique came down on her instead. Everything went black, her mind panic'd for a moment. It was like she was back in that prison!
Then slowly the light faded in as she did, her physcial body technique disentigated by the transportation she faded into this new, scary world with a burst of reiatsu, a natural reaction since it had been bottled up for so long, leaving the ground around her frosted for a moment. She looked around and shivered... spotting two forms on the horizon one of which she recognized. Liam? What in all the gods names was he doing here? Where was here?! She had so many questions! She took off in a jog towards them, her fear clearly showing in her inability to completely control her reiatsu, leaving a frozen trail behind her as she ran over.
"Liam-kun!!!!! Where are we? It's.... it's scary.."
She shivered for a moment looking around, giving a smile to seran and nodding at him as a gesture of greeting.
drop of sweat beaded on Nanami's brow as she stood over the dissolving body of her former opponent, grinning at her victory. That was what you got when you tried to fight against the Seireitei. She had kneeled down to examine the body, trying to learn as much as possible before it fully disappeared, and didn't notice the sudden quiet around her, the sudden disappearance of the screams and shouts of those who were fighting.
As the last remnants of the body disappeared, she stood up, only then noticing the advancing black liquid from the sword of the beast and quickly backing away, raising her fists to prepare and fight it. Though she had sealed her bankai and shikai, she was still plenty ready to attack whatever this was, and when the...thing...surged towards her, she threw her fist forward, deliver what should be a deadly jab to its closest point. But, as fluids did, the black sludge simply absorbed the blow, wrapping around her fist and pulling her closer. Panicked, she delivered a kick to it, with the same result, and before she could continue to try and break free, it had surrounded her, enveloping her body and cutting off the scream she had been about to release.
In what could have been perhaps moment, or was it hours, she had been thrown from the being, landing crouched in the knee deep liquid that sat in the Dangai Precipice. Sputtering and cursing under her breath, she scrubbed against her tongue, "Grossgrossgrossgrossgross!" Even though she really should be more concerned with where she was now, the matter that was of most importance was the fact that some of the black liquid had gotten in her mouth, and was providing a foul, bitter flavor for her to complain about.
Eventually however, she managed to get the last of it off her, and stood up, noticing the three others that had also been dropped in here. Of course, it was pretty obvious that this was the Dangai, she had traveled enough to recognize this moody atmosphere around her, even if it didn't look like the Dangai she knew. But, just who were these other people? She could feel...a Quincy...an Arrancar...and...what was that third person? Not bothered by the presence of the two greatest foes of her own race, she tilted her head, looking at Seran, puzzled by who he was. "What...are you?" Her voice was upbeat, despite the conditions they were in, and she seemed to be completely unfazed by the other two that were there.
There was a brief moment of silence as Seran waited to see if anymore people other then these three would appear. He had no desire to explain what was going on multiple times, and it was likely that every second they spent would be precious. He eyed over the assembled group, it obviously wasn't ideal but he'd have to make do if he wanted to get out of here. He glanced at the shinigami who approached him, what was he? He pondered for a moment telling her the truth, but this was no time to introduce information that might stymie cooperation.
"Its not important."
He returned to silence until it was clear that no one else would emerge from the surrounding fog, then turned, addressing the quincy directly but speaking to the entire group.
"I don't know exactly how much time we have here, so lets keep this brief. I'm going to assume each of you have encountered either one of those towers or the creatures being spawned from them. Its apparent that whatever is causing them to appear in in each of the three worlds has also brought us here, intentionally or otherwise."
As he spoke he held out his hand, forming a memory gem. Above it frozen images of both the dangai spawn and one of the towers appeared, taken from his memories just before being sucked into the dangai.
"This place is the dangai, but something seems to be negatively effecting it. If you have the ability, I'd like to you to attempt to travel back to whatever place you came from, but I think you'll find it fruitless."
He waited a moment, giving them time to try. As suspected the various methods, including his own portals failed to open into one of the other worlds.
"I was afraid of that. Our only option is to keep moving, there must be a place were we can return back or disable whatever is preventing us from doing so now. Any objections?"
His head quirked to the side as he heard Fryst calling out to him. With a smile and a wave, he greeted his Arrancar friend. Acting as if he had met her on the street ad not some sort of hellish void dimension.
So par for the course with him when females were involved. But the simple fact that a creature as powerful as Fryst was any way frightened disturbed him quite a bit. Not that he would let such a feeling show on his face. He would strive to maintain his calm surety at all times. "If you want, I can hold your hand?" He asked, extending said hand for Fryst to hold. There was a hint of suggestiveness in his tone. But for the most part, Liam was genuine. He didnt like the idea of someone he actually liked being in such distress. He would offer comfort if he could.
Turning back to Seran, the Quincy patiently waited as the Mod Soul gave a little explanation. Most of it was what he already knew. Strange spirits from the Dangai showing up and generally causing a massive mess. "There also have this odd habit of learning any abilities they see. So be ready for anything if we run into any inhabitants." He added on for the sake of the other two who may still be ignorant of their opponents.
Personally, Liam had no issue with Seran calling the shots. So long as the Mod Soul acted in a somewhat moral manner, Liam would follow. "Not really, but it would probably be best if we try to make the most of our time here. So if we see anything important looking." A small grin appeared on his face. "Boom."

~Fryst Dronning AL-A~
Fryst blinked as the scary caveman looking man... thing... whatever he was suggested they try to find a way out. So she sorta shrugged and reached over tapping the air attempting to open a Garganta. Nothing happened, and she furrowed her brow. This was like getting stuck in that stupid prison dimension. No way out.. scary and dark all around, at least there was another girl. Fryst couldn't help but see the silver lining, at least she wasn't alone with nice and yet pervert Liam.. and the scary cave thing... he had such long hair.. and it wasn't brushed at all yuck. At least he seemed smart, so when liam offered to hold her hand she gave him a look as if to say "Do You want to be slapped again?" and shook her head moving closer to the shinigami that had appeared, at least she seemed nice. She answered Seran's words as to his suggestion of what they should do next and nodded as she did. Her voice upbeat as the shinigami's.
"I'm okay with that Cave thing-kun!"
Oops.. she let it slip.. crap. she covered her mouth and gave seran and apologetic look. His hair was crazy and he had those intense eyes.. cave man.. but he wasn't a man hence thing.
"Maybe we should at least introduce ourselves as we walk though? I mean I trust Liam-kun enough not to stab me in the back... but Cave thi-.. umm Mr. and Shinigami-san , well I don't know you two.."
She said with a little nervous giggle. Well crap now she was giving them ideas...
"I'm uhh Fryst.. Fryst Dronning..please take care of me?"
anami puffed out her cheeks in irritation at being denied an explanation as to just what the man was. If he had had any idea as to who she was, and what she was capable of as one of the few members of Squad Four who had a very blurred line between helping and hurting, then perhaps he wouldn't just shrug off the question like that. Then, to make matters worse, the man shifted to talk to the Quincy! Of all people! Even though he was talking to all of them, his back was to her, and she was taking the opportunity to make faces at him behind his back.
She stopped however, as the memory flashed in front of her vision, showing the tower and enemies like the one she had faced spawning from it. And as the picture faded, she returned to looking at the man, hands of her hips and head tilted slightly as she listened. "Of course it's the Dangai, it's got that...you know...Dangai smell to it!" She glanced around at the others before speaking again, "If we find more of those things it shouldn't be too much trouble to kill them, I mean, the one I faced couldn't take my punches once I got going."
Before she could continue and agree that there was no problem in her opinion, her attention was snatched away by the look that the other girl, the one that smelled like an Arrancar, was giving the Quincy. A wide grin spread across her face as the blonde moved a bit closer to her, moving as well to stand with her ally. The look was one that Nanami was familiar with, considering she had given it to a number of people, and already she was hoping that this could be an instance of friendship between the two of them. But, nothing could have prepared her for the nickname that Seran had been given. She laughed loudly, a snort punctuating the hilarity she found at the comment, but quickly cut herself off upon hearing the nervousness in her new friend's voice.
Upon being asked who she was, she quickly stood up straight, hand up in a quick salute, "Nanami Oda! Medic and surgeon for the Fourth Squad! But, don't let what you've heard about Squad Four give you ideas about what I'm like." With her introduction out of the way, she returned to keeping pace with Fryst, holding her hands behind her head and looking around at the disrupted Dangai in interest.
Seran's eyes narrowed as the shinigami behind him cackled at Fryst's comments. Seran followed the arrancar's eyes up to his hair, and subconsciously he reached up to run his hand through the still wet strands.
"Its just because its wet......."
That was hardly true though, he rarely, if ever, did so much as run a comb through his hair mainly because it wasn't really "hair" at all. Seran sighed, realizing he was actually trying to think of a way to explain his appearance to someone he didn't even know. The shinigami introduced himself as the group set off walking. Fourth division, perhaps her usefulness would be greater then Seran originally anticipated. There was a lull in the conversation, and he realized everyone had introduced themselves but him.
"Its uh.... Seran.... just Seran. And Liam is right, those things seem capable of mimicking abilities, it would be best to finish them off with physical attacks unless absolutely necessary. Are you all armed? If not I can whip something up for you to defend yourselves."
As he spoke his untied the cloth belt holding his sword and retied it from shoulder to waist to let the blade sit on his back so it wouldn't drag in the liquid they were all sloshing through.
Darkness. Seething thoughts. He was in the dangai, no doubt. But there was no cleaner out to end his life here and now like a bug, splat on the window of a fast moving train. Raiden slowly walked through the precipice world, wary of what surrounded him. These spirits seemed to originate from this place. They were dangerous, they were lethal. He heard voices. Different voices. At least two of them he could tell apart from the rest with certainty. A voice from someone he had once dreamed about. And none other than Fryst. He navigated through the oozing goo that surrounded them.
With a slow sigh, he raised his hand for whomever watching. "Raiden Saitou. Seventh squad representative shinigami." He stated his name rather casually. Way too relaxed for the situation they currently were all in. "Now. Let's just start off with sayin' we might be the most makeshift team ever made. 'N this all seems like the start of a bad joke." He let out a slow chuckle, resting his hands on his belt. "But, I'm thinkin' it's safe to say we all wanna get out of here and return to our lives." He stood next to Seran, nodding slowly, somewhere, feeling as if he had seen the man before. Fought him before, even.
"Well since Fryst introduced me, you already know who I am." Liam commented, giving the other two a cheery wave. The same was later extended to Raiden as the substitute showed up. No reason to not be rude to the people he would be fighting alongside after all. Cooperation would be needed if they were all going to survive.
And they had a medic as well. It seems Liam's luck was getting better and better. Not only did he have a powerful ally he could trust nearby. But even if he got hurt, there was someone there to patch up his wounds.
At Seran's offer, Liam pursed his lips. Should he take the mod soul up on it? He did hate owing others after all. But then again, chances are a lot was riding on their shoulders in this realm. So he didn't have any right to be picky. "I left my Seele Schneiders behind." He spoke up, attempting to get Seran's attention. "Don't suppose you have anything on you that I can use in the meantime?" While he doubted that Seran would have anything on hand that could match up to a Seele Schneider in terms of pure cutting power. Liam would still feel more comfortable if he had something other than his Blut and Bow to fall back on.

~Fryst Dronning AL-A~
Fryst noted all their names, giving seran and embarassed yet kind smile and nod. She felt bad for the new nickname the man had gotten but he seemed to be playing it off nicely, she appreciated his restraint. He asked if anyone needed any weapons. Fryst shook her head for a moment, her braid moving from side to side as she did so. She had all the weapons she needed, crossing her forearms she felt the daggers hidden in her sleeves. Her eyes widened in surprise for a moment as she felt a very very familiar reiatsu signature. His voice rang out, non chalant and un caring no matter what situation he was in, it made her giddy and yet sad. She did a little skip over towards him smiling.
"Rai...den...-kun!"
She broke his name up into three syllables one for each skipping step she took over towards him giving him a smile.
"You got stuck in here too?"
She had stopped right infront of him tilting her head looking into his eyes with her own crystal blue ones curiously. As a substitute it was possible that he had volunteered to do this. Either way she was beginning to get worried, this made two of her friends caught up in this mess, and who knew how many more in the soul society and hueco mundo if it was happening there too.
As the group conversed onward, contemplating about moving as oppose to actually moving and going about, a dangai spirit had appeared, attempting to charge at the small group of invaders... only to be stopped and ripped to shreds. The smear of black particles soon descending onto the ground. As it slowly cleared, a figure of a man appeared in a lab coat.
None of you truly understand the gravity of the situation that you are in.
The looked down, watching as a single blob of dangai mass crawled away, and almost without sympathy, he stomped on it without a feeling of remorse. Drawing closer to the group, he noted the individuals who were in this world, almost as if scanning them, until he turned around began walking away. He had no connection to these people, no attachment... there was only one thing on his mind. He paused before taking another step, turned his head slightly as his black locks swayed with the movement of his head.
The woman in blue... somehow... you're here, yet you've not been copied by the demons. I am sure some of you have fought these demons, and found that they possessed interesting abilities. Some may even have concluded that they have the ability to mimic abilities and movement, and now you are trapped in this realm.
He began to turn away, only to stop, almost feeling sympathetic, yet remorseful for the group. It was individuals such as these who corrupted and brought life to these masses; their endless passing through, and careless manners created a chain reaction that not only befell onto him, but now to the worlds.
There is a way out... but its not easy. If you are interested, follow me, if not... well, the demons will come and take you by force, at least I can tell where they are, and of course where they aren't.
Finally looking forward, he stared down over a cliff onto total darkness. It seemed the deeper this fissure got, the darker it became, yet... everything was clearly luminescent. A few areas protruded from the side of the cliff wall, allowing safe spots for jumping on to for a slower descent. Throughout his entire time with the group so far, he had not change the serious, straight expression on his face. He seemed nonchalant about everything, and though he would not say it, there was something else he wanted to prevent from the group from doing. The balance within this world was already shaky as it is. Anything to upset that balance may prematurely cause the entire realm to collapse.
I would suggest deciding quickly, more of those Demons are on their way to this position.
With that note, he would jump down, slowly descending as his lab coat wavered in the descent, revealing dark black slacks, a tucked in blue collared shirt, and white tie.
Seran watched as the man in the lab coat hopped off the cliff's edge into the cavern below. He didn't know exactly who this man was, or for that matter what he was, though human seemed most likely with his use of the word demon. The mod soul looked down at scattered particles of the Dangai spirit. This individual either had extensive knowledge of these creatures, or he was exceptionally powerful, either way Seran wasn't eager to be in close proximity. But it was either that or continue wandering blindly through the precipice world.
"I guess there's no choice then."
He stepped up to the ledge and hopped off, following after their guide. His jacket flapped about as he fell, sliding against the walls to keep his balance between platforms. On one of the platforms he stopped, taking in the surroundings again and waiting for the others to catch up. The dangai had never been a particularly welcoming place, but now with each decent Seran's apprehension grew. He called out ahead to the man in the lab coat who was still descending to lower platforms.
"I don't suppose you'll tell us where we're headed? Or what exactly is wrong with this place?"
hose inquisitive brown orbs of Nanami's darted between her comrades, everyone was so...different! It was exciting to be able to meet people that were from such different backgrounds! There was the weird one, Seran, and he had sword too! Though a lot of people had swords, she had daggers, but they were like cute versions of swords, and...well...it was cool that he had a sword too. Then there was Liam, who had apparently forgotten one of his weapons, "Green! How can you forget your weapon like that? Didn't your mom tell ya not to forget your stuff? I mean, I have my weapon's right here!" She held up her sleeves, the pommels of her daggers sticking just out of the cloth. But, before she could say anything else on the matter, another voice, one that was apparently from the seventh squad, revealed itself.
Nanami only had to look at the man for a couple of moments to lose interest, he was just a human with spirital awareness it looked like...nothing special about that, she had seen enough of them around. But, there was Liam, who was going to be fun to tease, and there was Fryst, who was someone that she wanted to get to know, simply because she was adorable and must be fun to talk to, and Seran, the weird one, and...wait... Pointing from one person to the next, she counted, one, two, three, four, five...six... She nearly recoiled when she saw who was extra, a man in a white lab coat. He reminded her of the people from Squad 12 really, but that wasn't too bad of a thing. About to reply, she paused mid sentence watching both the lab coat man and Seran drop off the edge. It wasn't optimal but...it was more fun than standing around. Looking back at Fryst, she beckoned, jumping to the first platform, "Cmon Fryst! This way!"
She waited for Raiden to reply but he wouldn't have a chance as the new creepy man arrived. She shivered a little bit and hid behind Raiden for a moment. He had creepy eyes and felt weird, but apparently wanted to help them. After his action of just cutting down and stomping on the dangai demon.. thingy he clearly didn't like them.. yuck so icky and gross looking. He then addressed her, or what she assumed was her, since she was the only one in a blue dress. She shook her head to indicate no, she had not fought them.
She didn't even have time to think about why the hell Liam didn't have a weapon on him... She sighed as the man dropped off the cliff and hopped down into the cave, then Cave thing-kun followed saying how they really didn't have a choice, then her new shinigami friend who called to her. She smiled big and nodded, moving to grab Raiden's hand and drag him with her as she leapt off the cliff giggling like a school girl following after them
"I'm coming Nanami-chan!"
She said cheerfully and very possibly dragging Raiden along with her giggling as she leapt from platform to platform. She thought about something as she touched down beside the scientist man.
"Ummm Mr Scientist-san.. if you know a way out why are you still here?"
She tapped her chin as she thought about it innocently.
"I dunno. I woke up here.." He stated towards Fryst as she came to greet him, rubbing the back of his head. But, any further conversation was interrupted by a dangai spirit, that came charging at the group, Raiden merely sighed as steam rose from the metal gauntlet. "I'll take care o' this fucker." He stated, rather lazily, before the dangai spirit was ripped to shreds, causing him to arch an eyebrow. "Or not." He stated. His initial thought of the man was a mad scientist, the way he tore through that dangai spirit. But, his face was way too cold, his voice was way too emotionless to be a mad scientist. He didn't talk nearly enough to fit that criteria. "Then do fuckin' enlighten us." Raiden stated as he stepped forward. Yet his question went unanswered.
Raiden sighed as the scientist monologued on. Typical. Stereotypical even. The substitute shinigami walked forward, standing next to the scientist as he stared down from the cliff. He arched an eyebrow as he jumped down, nodding towards the who noted they had no choice. It was true, there was a bitter amount of choice. The stranger that talked jumped down, and soon enough, his hand was pulled and he was forced down behind Fryst, his initial descend accompanied by "wait. What the fuck?!"
He pulled his hand loose mid-air, missing a platform. "Well. Shit." He said as he swooshed around, smacking down on a platform that was just a tad too far to be healthy. With a loud thud and an 'uff'. At least he caught up with the guy and the scientist.
To be honest, away from the demons. They have a keen sense of this place, and I do believe it has a lot to do with the current state this place is in. By now, I am certain you all have sensed it... the omnipresent reiatsu this entire world is emitting. It has become sentient. Not just the creatures you've faced, but the entire world itself. It is why you cannot open a portal out of here; it has not willed you out.
As the new makeshift group began to descend, they'd land onto a platform, leading up to a cave. Hal was only able to answer so many questions all at once, however, he'd get to them all eventually. He knew that they may be anxious to leave, and wanted some explanation at the same time, however, as he proceeded down the hallway, lit up by the amethyst walls and ceiling, he turned back over to the woman in the blue dress. His curiosity began to peak, especially since she was not contaminated.
The danger you are all facing is in fact you. This world has seen its travelers, destruction, and high volumes of energy fed into these walls. It has grown to become aware of itself, and the world is one large hivemind. The only reason why I haven't been able to get out of here is because I am still looking for a colleague of mine. We've been studying samples from this world, and we discovered how they adapted to and mimicked us. Eventually my Partner, Doctor Ederick Noble, was consumed in the idea of assimilating his physical body, and DNA with the substance.
Another fork through the tunnel, he initiated going to the left, however, he stopped and paused. Quickly, he turned around and headed the other direction, wanting to avoid anymore demons along the way. He didn't truly understand the circumstances on what had happened, and how this woman was unaffected by the demon's contamination, this may be a key later on. He continued to lead the group, finally coming to a large opening.
My apologies for the late introduction, my name is Doctor Halberd Oswald Gen, colleagues simply call me Doctor Hal.
Upon the opening of the area, the group would pay witness to the severity of the condition of the connected realms. Tears across the voided space, revealing real time visions of some of the battles outside as well as visions of the towers that have erected in the wake of the current group's disappearance from their respective realms. All around this area would be pods of deep purple, within them, people of both human and spiritual races encased, unconscious... or dead. Wires connecting the pods all seemed to be heading one direction... the same direction Doctor Hal was now travelling.
As this goes on... I fear that this may very well spell out the end of all the worlds connected to this place... we must continue on without delay.
"So the realm itself is against us. How wonderful." Liam drawled, his usually joking lilt and cocksure smile faded from his face as the soon to be named Hal explained the situation to him. It was hard for even him to maintain such a facade in the face of such a massive threat. It was one thing to fight a strong opponent or army. Both would be difficult to deal with, but not impossible.
But an entire dimension? Where would one even start when it came to such a task? Did the realm have some sort of core consciousness? Was it intelligent or simply a wild beast lashing out at whatever it considered a threat? Would it even be willing to listen to reason at all?
All those questions and many more buzzed through the Quincy's mind. But there was one thing he noted.
"Hey Doc? They didn't by chance, get smarter or more aggressive after your friend did his weird sciency stuff? That was certainly an interesting question. Was it the experiments that brought upon the change to the realm or were the scientists here investigating said changes?
He cast his head to the side, a frown crossing his face as he eye'd the people in the strange purple cocoons. There was no other way to say it. That sight certainly put him on edge.
