WORDS 357 TAGS Everyone! NOTES small notes | H op, skip, jump! It was fun dashing from platform to platform like this with the precipice opening up into a deep dark void before them! The thrill of being on the verge of tumbling into the deep. It was all a great experience! Even with the whole...dangai spirits were invading and causing mass chaos thing. Half listening and half jumping from platform to platform, she nodded as the doc explained. "I mean, it makes sense. It's a place that is constantly in flux with our spiritual energies. It was bound to absorb our reiatsu eventually!" Her tone was still completely cheerful, though the look on her face was one of more concern. She understood that this trouble was far more serious than any she had faced. One of the last to hit the bottom and head into the cave, Nanami looked around at the walls of the Dangai, the swirling blackness piquing her interest. Usually calm, it was now chaotic, showing the unrest of the dimension apart from the world. She walked closely behind the Doc and Liam, arms behind her head, "So Doc, if it's a hivemind, why can't we just hit the core and take out the entire lot? There's gotta be a way to destroy that consciousness." Another thought occured to her as she spoke, "Oh! Wait, what has happened to the cleaner? Shouldn't it be taking care of the Dangai and preventing those spirits from accumulating, shouldn't it?" She was so close to the other two, that he almost bumped into Doc when he changed to take the fight fork rather than the left. Nanami's gaze ran along the threads coming from the pods, trying to look into the distance at where they were heading. "The end of all worlds...well, the Gotei 13 won't just stand by. Hell, I think even Squad Zero would get involved if needed. She nodded to herself reassuring herself. That was what she felt was true, and would stand by it to the very end. But, until then, she would fight to get them out of there. |

 He could only move forward as they continued with their inquiries. While he knew that they would eventually discover the truth, it wouldn't be for him wanting to keep, but rather to make himself appear more ignorant of the reality of the situation. His partner, Doctor Noble, had branched off their intent studying this world, and the effects of it had garnished something even fouler. The towers out in the real world have already begun their final phase of assimilation, and everything would be consumed in the utter blackness of the void.
The hivemind is ahead of us, but, destroying is not something that can be merely accomplished by force. You may risk distorting time and this world's influence on how time affects you; because of this place, my body hasn't aged. I don't crave food, water, any nutrients... and that's partly due to what happened to me during our last days studying this world.
As they cleared the tunnel, they would see an illuminated chamber, several walk ways leading to the center, which encompassed a near transparent cocoon which surrounded a dark core engulfed by amethyst light. Before they could travel any further, the entire chamber began to quake as a piercing beam of light broke through one of the walls surrounding this massive chamber and strike the core directly. The shriek that followed would bring pain upon to all those that heard it, as Doctor Hal stood there, his body also began to glow in the same ebony light.
I never seem to have enough time... before I go, those who stand before me... if the contamination spread upon you and the corruption infests your mind; you will forever succumb to an infinite loop of time. I seem to only have 10 minutes of life before I reset. Its the reason why I cannot escape this place. If you see Doctor Noble, let him know that he is wrong; this world will swallow him too.
With those last words, Doctor Hal would blink out as if he was never there, leaving the five that had followed him to this location on their own.
