HISTORY
The name Reiner was widely unknown to the larger scheme of things when it came to pure-blooded families, mainly during the prime of the Quincy and prior to the Quincy Massacre. The Reiner were a unique part of the family and the Quincy bloodline in the fact that while they remained Echt, they not only associated themselves with Gemischt but claimed themselves to be mixed bloods as well. This was in a ploy to keep themselves from the confrontations that were starting to rise with the Shinigami. The Reiner were a group of the family that kept Quincy values but were not ones to openly express hostile nature toward the Shinigami or the Quincy themselves. They aimed to please most of those around them but knew that holding the blood in their veins above others was only a road that ended in disaster.
When the Soul Reaper's began to crack down upon the Quincy to put a stop to the elimination of Hollows, the Reiner were some of the Quincy that supported the subject that Quincy could simply be there to stop attacks that the Soul Society could not. This went poorly within the Quincy but having the pure blood meant that their voice was in equal standing to any other. But that also meant that if the overwhelming voice of many other families voted in mass, they were unable to fight the majority. One of these things were that no matter what the person would think, being a Quincy meant that you killed Hollow when they presented themselves and no amount of reasoning could change this and the Reiner were no exception to this.
It was made that a portion of the Reiner line would be made a 'sacrificial lamb' of sorts. These individuals would be pure of blood and be raised as any Quincy would be by tradition and kill Hollow's like any other. These would not have the relaxation that the rest of the family had as they would live completely different lives within the family. This meant living with those that did not enjoy the things that they did and having a life separated on its own but it was a small price to pay and it was one that was easily paid. It was something that was hard to adjust to at first but soon, months and then years would pass and it became somewhat of a tradition.
This seemed to work till the Quincy Massacre fell into effect. When the talks were done and the Shinigami would not comply with the terms of the Quincy being used as an on-the-scene unit, everything turned sour. It would be deemed that the Quincy would be a risk to keep at the numbers they were growing and in that time, the Soul Society would decree that this needed to be rectified. It was then that the extermination of the Quincy masses would ensue, great numbers wiped from the world of the living in fell swoops. This continued to the Quincy were not only few in number but faint all together and because of this, times were forced into change.
In the years to come, the Quincy were forced into a solitude. The name Reiner began to diminish in its status. This was partly due to the fact that while a good number of Reiner were spared from the slaughter, those same Quincy continued to call themselves Gemischt or Mixed Bloods. While these were proven time and time again to be false, the Reiner felt that using the term Echt or Pure Bloods would only cause more turmoil. But given all of this, they did inherit the hatred toward Soul Reapers for what they had done and how wrongly it was and because of this, they continued to devote a line of Reiner to the Hollow killing cause but like all Quincy now, this was to be done with few and far between as to not attract attention.
Because of the lack of numbers that the Quincy had, the want and need to keep Echt was a priority. This was rectified by simply receiving or sending those of the family to be married into the Quincy lineage. While this seemed to be a promising venture, some families did not wish to dwindle themselves and so, with most families, they were forced to marry inward to keep the blood pure. It was years later that a young boy was born. This boy was like any other human being, healthy and spry, cried like any baby did.
The practice of arranged marriages were still going on when Lee was born as Echt to the Reiner clan. He was promised to an girl about five years his senior when he was a toddler. While he didn't see her every day, neither were they strangers. He was taught from a very young age the importance of him and his family and the importance of his betrothal. It didn't seem odd to him at all and he didn't dislike his fiance, so had no quarrel with the arrangement. Admittedly he didn't love her but they were good friends. So it was a blow when her and her mother were killed by hollows. His parents had always told him that they (Quincies) were more at risk from hollow attacks than normal humans because of their spiritual power but to be massacred by such a number... It only reinforced his determination to follow his family and their rules.

Name: Hohl Bekodern [Hollow Bait]
Description: This item is a small, coin-shaped disk that attracts hollows when crushed.
Name: Seele Dolch [Soul Dagger]
Description: A weak, short, but capable close combat dagger alloyed out of Soul Silver that should only be used in desperate times when a Quincy is forced into a range where they cannot function. The dagger is as sharp as a sealed Zanpakutou of a single rank below, and clashing twice or thrice with a Zanpakutou or Shikai is enough to break it. However, the sudden pull of this weapon has saved many Quincy.
Name: Seele Schild [Soul Shield]
Description: A small shield alloyed out of Soul Silver, enough to fit on a Quincy's arm. While they are useless against more powerful attacks, it's small size being only enough to cover ones forearm, it's durability is enough to deflect strikes of a sealed zanpakutou, or even a shikai.
Name: Blitz [Flash]
Description: A very simple one-use item that, when thrown at the ground, produces a powerful disorientating flash, stunning anyone in the immediate vicinity and providing an opportunity to attack or escape.
BATTLE SKILLS Name: Blut (“Blood”) or (“Blood Guise”) Class: Tier: I Type: Passive Agumantation Range: Self Description: Blut is an advanced technique used by Quincy. By making reishi flow into their blood vessels the user can increase defensive or offensive power. While Blut does pose amazing effects there is one significant flow. It is independent making both operate on two different reishi systems thus they can not be never employed simultaneously. This makes one completely ineffective whilst the other is in use. It also takes a few moments to switch between adding in greater danger for it's user. While Blut houses no cost it certainly requires focus to keep up. Name: Omoi Kobushi. Class: Tier: I Type: Martial Arts Style. Range: Self. Description: Omoi Kobushi, or Heavy Hand, is a heavily fist-oriented martial art, the practice of anything else, including knees, legs, arms, or elbows, are strictly forbidden in it's use as a style. It's style is composed of two types of boxing; Muay Thai, for the stance, and American Boxing, for it's jumping, ending up with an incredibly different feeling martial art. Omoi Kobushi focuses mainly on the pressure of one's fist, palm, or finger into a focal point, the hands are beaten through training, and the arms are constantly bound with a metal mechanism as to further increase the strength of one's punches. A common way to train the use of both is to use the metal mechanism, which would otherwise bind you at the ribs with your arms, and do pushups on your index finger, and usually hundreds at that, or until you collapse; your choice.
