CANON CHARACTERS So you decided to NPC a canon that somebody needs for their plot, talked to them about it, and are ready to go on the NPCING? You've come to the right place.
Here at BSRP Internatio-/shot
If you wish to NPC a canon character for a plot and have discussed it with the plot's owner (Since it's a plot thread that must be submitted prior to requesting the actual canon) you can post here to request it, but you will few things.
Use the following template to request the canon:

[b]Character to be NPCed:[/b]
[b]Plot in which NPC will act:[/b] The user that needs the NPC must submit the plot for PRE-APPROVAL, explaining what they have in mind for the canon to do (It should be noted that it wouldn't be incredibly specific, for it's up to the NPCer how to act, but it should include a general idea of what they expect of the thread).
[b]RP Sample:[/b] Must be a FRESHLY WRITTEN Sample in which you play the character and demonstrate why you feel you would do well in NPCing them properly for a plot. Must be at least 400 words in length.
It should be noted that the NPC will only last for THAT plot, and THAT plot only, meaning you must re-submit (can use the previous plot thread you did as a roleplay sample once you have been declared eligible once) and must be re-approved to do another plot as the same character. Once done, staff will either PM OR POST with confirmation as to whether or not you are allowed the NPC and for what reasons you are allowed or disallowed the role.
It wasn't as clear before, but adding this in. You may NOT NPC the canon for your own plot threads, to ensure that it remains unbiased and authentic, and to promote interaction between our members.
For some even greater clarity here is also a reminder; outside of Ichigo (as stated in post below), you may not NPC locked canons in any manner. The same also applies to larger governing bodies such as the Central 46, as well as figures of immense political influence in the human world (i.e prime ministers, presidents, etc.). These are to be left exclusively to staff to handle.

There was something about warm sake trickling down the throat that just made a man want to ease on back and close his eyes. Or maybe it was just this particular old bag of bones the rice concoction did it to.
“Well now what do we have here?”
A heart felt sigh, the kind one gives only when his blissfull peace has been ruined, passed through Shunsui’s lips as he opened his eyes. Katen, one of two of his zanpakuto spirits was sitting just to side of his left temple, black garb a hair’s breath from touching his own skin. The zanpakuto didn’t seem to be looking at him but off to where Nanao was ordering one of the other girls to help carry some paperwork into his office...that he hadn’t been in all day. “Katen! How good of you to join me on this fine day!” The captain of squad 8 smiled warmly up at his zanpakuto. “What ever have I done to win the grace of your presence today?”
Long lashes blinked once before teal eyes turned down to him in a half lidded stare causing his warm smile to falter ever so slightly. “As if you do not know.” The liquid voice of his zanpakuto chidded him.
“Ah,” Shunsui stalled, pulling his hat brim over his face as he stalled, churning his brain for a reason. “But today isn’t such good weather for cards. Too windy.” He said the last part as if it were a complaint. Kyoraku could feel Katen’s glare even through his woven hat. What could this woman possibly want of him now?
WACK!
“OOPH” Shunsui shot up into a seated position, hat tumbling backwards. He blinked over at Katen only to find her sipping on his sake like she hadn’t just smacked him in the gut.
“It could come down to a fight with that one.” She warned him as she had so many times before.
Kyoraku sighed once again only this time out of frustration. “I do not think it will come to that.” He said frowning at the thought of fighting.
“But it could...”
Shunsui sat up and reached for his sake to refill his own cup.
“What will you do?” Katen mused allowed, seemingly more to herself than Shunsui.
Moments passed with a breeze as Shunsui pondered the question. “Perhaps....” He said wistfully while looking over to where the other half of his spirit was watching blossoms fall. He sighed again. “Perhaps I’ll just finish my nap.” And with that the captain of the 8th plopped his head very unceremoniously onto his zanpakuto’s lap.
THUD!
Or at least he tried. The floral covered captain rubbed the back of his head where it had only met the floor. Cruel woman. Hmm... speaking of women. “Oh Nanao-Chan~!” And with that the captain went looking for his Lt.
