The universe holds many secrets that science alone cannot define. Mankind's curiosity gave birth to figures both big and small. Certain people strove to understand that which could not normally by waving wands reciting words and drawing circles where the universes energy could flow. And thus, magic became part of day to day life. It was sold in stores and used in nearly every home, but, for some, magic was an art. To those people, who lived where this magic prospered, they were given the name Soul Reaper.
Morgana was hardly a simple child. By appearance alone, her wing like horns could attract attention. The young Wizard traveled from town to town in search of a home. Being on the run from people who wished her harm meant she couldn't stay in one place for long periods of time. Today, she came across a town near a large river. The primary source of income with fish and food. The big go-to area was a strip mall. Various stores were lined up on both sides of the street. Stands that sold foods and weapons, along with clothes. Some shops were around too, including restaurants.
Morgana was standing outside a clothing store, and her face was pressed against the glass. She was looking inside at the various types of clothing. Her wide eyes went from a dress to some sweat pants and shirts. She was wanting some new clothes since her current dress was somewhat roughed up, but she didn't have a lot of money. She wondered around until she came to a stand selling various fruits. Her stomach growled and she walked towards the stand. She looked for but a few moments before grabbing two apples and running away, with the stand keeper yelling out "Thief!"

OOC: Intending to train the following techniques. Name: Au Batido (Broken Cartwheel) Tier IV Class: Hand to Hand Type: Defensive Range: Close Description: The user begins a cartwheel towards their opponent, guarding their face with one hand while supporting their body on the other, usually in response to an attack. Using the momentum of the cartwheel, they kick or push the oncoming attack away before falling back or moving to the side. If used when no attack is being countered, the user kicks and pushes their opponent away, creating distance and allowing them to move around the field freely.
Name: Escorpiao (Scorpion Kick) Tier IV Type: Offensive Range: Close Description: The user brings their body down to the ground, pivoting on their leading leg while using the momentum to bring their back leg up to kick an opponent standing in front of them. This attack is very hard to see coming and is often mistaken for a low dodge before the kick comes up to strike with the sole or heel of the back foot.
Name: Martelo (Hammer) Tier III Type: Offensive Range: Close Description: This is the bread and butter of the capoeira school for offense, being the most common attack with many variants and types spawning from this very simple kick. It functions almost exactly like a roundhouse kick, but requires less lead up and in the hands of a master can’t be seen coming.
Gaen was enjoying his afternoon quite a bit today, having taken the day off to venture into the closer districts of Rukongai. Despite this being one of the nicer districts, it had a problem that most of the rather feudal era themed districts had: less than stellar medical aid. On a recent trip through the area, he had lamented how poor the quality of life had been here, despite being mere moments’ walk from the white walls of Seireitei. So, with his medical bag in hand and a positive attitude in his head, he strode out and started offering to help people with their boo-boos. Most of the morning was spent in this particular manner, disinfecting and bandaging cuts, prescribing antibiotics, he even set a broken finger around lunch time. At the moment he was wrapping up a sprained ankle and giving proper instructions on continued care for the young fellow who had miss-stepped and rendered his ankle useless. It had just put a pin in the wrap and got up to look for the next malady when he heard ‘Thief’ being called out over the crowd in the market. Huh… He was actually a bit surprised that thievery was an issue around here, but supposed that even in the richer areas of Rukongai there would be those who were down on their luck with few enough options. Gaen picked up his bag and was about to head in the complete opposite direction when he spotted the kid he had just patched up staring at him. Uh, are you going to go after the thief? He asked, and Gaen just then realized that Rukongai didn’t have a regulated police force of any description, and that it was generally up to the Shinigami to keep the peace and uphold the law. While it wasn’t generally in his job description, he let out a sigh and figured he should at least take a look. I suppose so, um, that way I guess? He mumbled to himself before vanishing from in front of the boy, reappearing on a nearby roof to get a better view of the market. He saw an angry vendor shouting some obscenities or another and a girl in a white dress running for her life, dodging through the crowded streets with impressive agility. Welp, if I had to take a guess as to who the ‘thief’ in this scene is… He said to himself, jumping to the next roof over to follow the girl. He managed to keep pace well enough, hopping down from a roof to land more or less right in front of her. He didn’t really know what the policy was in these circumstances, so he just looked at her and said, in a less than authoritative tone: Freeze?Word Count: 463

Small legs carried Morgana's small frame quicker than most. Those within the Rukongai rarely held much spiritual power, therefore eating wasn't a requirement. The ones that did eat did so out of preference, finding enjoyment out of taste. This particular district was known for good food and that was one reason Morgana resided here, however, she had became a slightly known thief by some."Run run, all you want. You can't ever catch me!" Like the Gingerbread Man, Morgana moved quickly. As she did, she took a bite out of one of the apples and began eating quickly.
Over the years Morgana had been caught several times. But from failure something prospered, and that was the knowledge that she needed to eat her food fast. So, maybe in a way this was fast food? Morgana had already started on her second apple not long after her escape from the stand, but a black robed figure has landed in front of her while she had the apple in her mouth. "Mmmffff!" Unable to speak, and her eyes wide from shock, she couldn't stop herself and tripped. Thusly began rolling forwards and with her head ramming right into his junk.
Unfortunate for him if he got it.

He had startled her, which Gaen felt a little guilty about, he very rarely tried to be imposing or frightening. He also thought that perhaps the surprise would lead to a hasty return of the stolen… apples? He noted the apple in her mouth and the very slight sense of spiritual power he could feel from her. If Gaen had the time, he may have deduced that she had stolen food to help feed and nurture the still burgeoning rietsu in her soul. It made sense, food was a luxury for most, and due to that simple fact it was quite expensive. He could have noted her dishevelled appearance and concluded that she wasn’t really in a position to afford things like food. Knowing all of this, he would have likely just wandered over to the apple merchant and paid for the apples since it wasn’t particularly likely he could return them or get her to pay for them. All of these things however, more or less escaped his attention as her head collided unceremoniously with his groin. He was damn near bashful at such an even taking place (he was quite shy and that was… a personal area) but was a little too busy doubling over in surprise and pain.
He fell to his knees, trying to catch his breath and bring his brain back into good and proper working order. He managed to think of one thing that may help in this particular instance, and hastily started trying to recount how to cast kido.
Pain, I revoke thee… Torikesu…[/i] He said as coherently as he could, focusing his rietsu into the… area that the pain was originating from. With the kido giving him the distinct blessing of not feeling the single worst pain most men experience short of having a limb removed. Now that he had his senses back in order and not horrifyingly distracted, he went back to the task at hand. He looked around to see if the girl had made a run for it while he was indisposed, hoping she hadn’t gotten too far.
