Rin had never liked Hollows. She always carried out her purification duties dutifully, but she never felt any pity for the creatures she slayed. To her, they were just mindless beasts, and it was her duty to put them down. This Arrancar however, was proving to be anything but mindless, but her discontent with the rival race only grew with every word he stated. He seemed to represent the vile race well, and Rin would see his body broken at their feet if she could have her way.
Then the Arrancar went and mentioned Hollowification. She didn't know much about the process, only that the Vizard captains went through the process decades ago, which caused their exile. She also knew it was very painful (as the Arrancar so kindly pointed out), and that it did not have a very high rate of success.
She'd pass on the offer.
But the Arrancar brought up a point Rin hadn't considered. What if she did survive? Her eyes flicked briefly to the captain, before focusing back on the Arrancar. He would do what was required of him by the laws of the Seireitei, and Rin would be content. There was no appeal to living a life with a Hollow hanging over you. Still, there was a part, however small, that wondered if he would. If it came to that, would Hitsugaya do it? And more importantly, would Rin allow it without a fight? Or would self preservation prevent her from doing what was more dignified?
My subordinates trust me and I them
And she did. Hitsugaya already stated he wouldn't allow the Arrancar to leave here alive. Rin wasn't alone in this fight, and she had to believe the captain was stronger than this Arrancar. Together, they would manage to fell this beast together, and someday, the fear that was clawing at Rin (and she would obstinately shove back down) would fade into some kind of bad memory.
The Arrancarr couldn't help but give a huge grin towards Toshiro as he spoke so confidently in his own abilities.
"I can't begin to count the number of times I've heard such confidence in one's own abilities... Truly the legend of the Gotei's arrogance knows no bounds." His grin completely vanished in almost an instant as he swung his blade down to his side, the sudden lack of emotion from the Arrancarr was all but unsettling.
"Eldest neither of you may be, but savages you are still. Killing Hollows and Arrancarr left and right without mercy, never once truly stopping to do anything. I didn't pull my blade because I was testing you, just like I tested them." He said, pointing to the dead bodies of their comrades "Had they ran, they'd of lived. But they didn't, they drew their blades and attacked me. I gave them all quick deaths, though I did prolong the one and I admit that was truly vicious and savage of myself."
He paused, taking in a deep breathe before letting out a slow sigh "You both failed your test, When faced with someone who you do not control you draw blades and attempt to kill them unquestioningly and without mercy. And that is something I cannot forgive. Just remember, Hitsuguya Taicho, even some of the greatest of you have become infected by a hollow, Even your own precious Ichigo Kurosaki."
With that he slowly raised his blade to point towards the sky "How fast are you... When you can't find me?" He asked softly "Desaparecer" And with that, The Vasto Lorde Arrancarr vanished from in front of the two, his Reiatsu Signature all but vanishing. Reappearing behind Toshiro he brought his blade down quickly "Ensombreza huelga" He said quickly as the blade came down aiming straight for the Shinigami's backside and aiming to gash right across his back in a long line from the top to the opposite side on the bottom of Toshiro's back. Regardless of contact or not, He'd vanish again from view mere moments after to reappear behind Rin and once more reach to grab her by the front of her neck and pull her straight back, this time onto his blade however. His blade positioned to pierce right through her stomach.

Toshiro listened to the arrancar as he spoke, his words still confident and condescending. It was not without its points, even if they might be unfounded or preconceived based on the hatred the two races had for each other. The arrancar spoke of the arrogance of Toshiro’s confidence in his abilities, but at the same time spoke simply of how he slaughtered so many, how he was the slayer of the savages. Although it wasn’t direct, couldn’t he see that his confidence was displayed in the same manner? If anything the two of them were certainly on the same level.
“Why would they run?” Toshiro said calmly yet sternly, “Why would anyone run from an aggressor such as yourself? You yourself speak of how you’ve killed many, yet you say you test people to see if they should leave or die based on cowardice they are? Your logic truly is flawed.”
“Drawing blades does not mean that you will die or that I will attack you, but rather that you will not sway me to back down if it comes to it. My words are fueled by your ignorance in attacking my fellow squad members, for killing them solely because they would not bow to your will and run away as you said."
Toshiro watched quickly as the arrancar disappeared, a deceptive little trick of hiding, not too surprising from a hollow by any means. They were always trying to hide themselves instead of attacking directly. There was no doubt that this arrancar was powerful, powerful and strong, and as he reemerged Toshiro only had moments to bring his own blade up to counter the one that came down at him, however in the exchange it seemed as though the arrancar was able to release a vast amount of energy into the captain, effectively stunning his body throughout, he only could move in slight small movements, but effectively was locked in where he was for combat sake. It already was not looking good for this battle, as the arrancar disappeared again reappearing behind Rin this time. Clearly he was calculated and effective in his movements and strategy, he certainly wasn’t reckless either, it would be a battle worth fighting despite how much Toshiro hoped it would have been a much weaker opponent they faced.
“Miyagi-san!” Toshiro shouted, having seen the arrancar reappear again, although it would rely on her hopefully quick thinking to effectively dodge the incoming attack. Damn it…
The captain thought as he tried to move his body only able to twitch slight muscles at this point, barely moving at all.
The Arrancar's demeanor seemed to change in an instant. Instead of finding pleasure in tormenting the two, he'd suddenly grown serious, as if deeming the two worthy opponents for him to cut down. But then again, his arrogance was still present in his logic, flawed as it was. Maybe he hadn't changed as much as she'd thought.
The arrogant words he spoke caused Rin to narrow her eyes in anger, knuckles turning white under the strain of the grip she placed on her Zanpakutou. He spoke of her deceased squad members like they were the sole party responsible for their own deaths. This Arrancar's arrogance truly knew no bounds if he believed the nonsense he was spouting at the two Shinigami. He was the invader, the intruder here, and this was their world, their home. He'd trespassed onto territory where he was not welcomed, and he felt it justified to cut down the warriors who challenged him and try to shift the blame that belonged solely to himself onto the shoulders of the defenders?
He had to die. The Arrancar would not make it out of her alive.
Though Rin was beyond the point of words, Hitsugaya continued their verbal spar. She was tired of talking, tired of trying to reason with something that could not be reasoned with: if it had been any other squad member with her, she would have snapped at them for it and would have attacked. But she had respect enough to wait for his command.
And in the end, it wasn't the Shinigami who started the battle, but the Arrancar. Perhaps it wasn't that surprising, considering the cruelty the race was known for. He disappeared from view, and Rin tried to use her reiatsu to try and locate him, but it was useless, he was completely hidden. Typical Arrancar behavior. He reappeared, and it surprised Rin momentarily that his target was the captain instead of her. But then again, the Arrancar probably saw him as the greater threat, and the greater threats were usually targeted first. There was still also the threat he revealed earlier: her hollowification.
The female knew it'd be useless for her to try to intervene; Hitsugaya was stronger, and she would likely only make matters worse. Besides, the Hollow had disappeared again, and Rin knew this time, she was the target. Hitsugaya, who seemed unable to move, called out a warning to her, and Rin spun, her blade coming up to clash with the Arrancar's own. He may have been the stronger of the two, but Rin would prove to be a much tougher opponent to fell than her squad mates had been. She wasn't the type to roll over and die. "Sokkou Shikkoutou." In a flurry of movements, the female aimed strike after strike at the Arrancar. She doubted it would be enough to kill him (it'd be a bit of a disappointment if it did) but hopefully it would keep the Arrancar occupied long enough for Hitsugaya to regain his movement before the Arrancar decided it would be the perfect opportunity to kill him off.
{Spoiler}Name: Sokkou Shikkoutou (速攻執行, Swift Attacking Execution Sword) Class: Weapon Technique Tier: V Type: Offensive Range: Sword's length Description: Allows the user to perform a flurry of rapidly executed attacks at a single opponent within the span of a single post. Each sword strike does tier I damage, and the amount of strikes possible depends on the user's Weapon Skill mastery.
The user imbues the final strike with the equivalent of a tier IV amount of damage, but alternatively, the user may also choose to keep the final attack at the same tier as the other strikes. The user may end the attack early, but he/she will not be able to use the tier IV attack.
"You're both very quick... Very astute... When faced against a stronger opponent you are still able to react quickly, truly an admirable feat. Your teamwork, impressive." He said as he watched her blade, his own moving to counter each of her strikes with care and precision. Rather than block them directly, he pushed the blade to the side just enough to miss his entire form now whether or not she would be able to catch this subtle movement would be interesting to tell. He kept his attention on the female Shinigami, keeping his reiatsu senses on the Captain. ""Tell me, Taicho, Will you endanger yourself to save your subordinate? Or will you sacrifice her to try and strike me down?"" He said, using his Sonido once more to vanish just as her final strike might've managed to strike his head.
He would then reappear over top of both of them with his finger pointed down as a small bead of energy began to form directed towards Rin "Cero" That was all he said before the beam fired out, the powerful beam of energy moving rather quickly to strike hard into the female shinigami if it wasn't blocked. If Toshiro moved to block it, it would indeed provide Rin with enough defense to easily survive it with minimal damage... However that would mean Toshiro would lose his chance at striking the Arrancarr while he was potential off-guard. "You know I've heard tales of your deeds, Hitsuguya Toshiro. Tales of your Bankai, the ability to freeze someone in ice forever. Tell me how does it fair against fire? Labrar por separado el hielo, Hielo Destructor" With that his sword was swiftly engulfed in fire before it spread over his entire body, replaced now with an entirely new and more demonic form. "Tell me, Hitsuguya Toshiro! HOW WILL YOU DEAL WITH THE RESSURECION OF A VASTO LORDE!" With that, the two Shinigami's would begin feeling the rise in temperature around them as the buildings around began to erupt into flames by his mere presence. "Go on, Hitsuguya Toshiro! Release your Bankai! SHOW ME THE POWER OF THE GOTEI! Oh, and you Female Shinigami... There is more than one way to infect a Shinigami with my Reiatsu... I do not need to pierce you with a blade to do it, Not anymore."
Name: Decaimiento (Decay) Tier: III Type: Passive Range: 30 Meters Description: Decaimiento causes the very area around him to begin to wither and decay due to simply the intense heat that emanates from him. Creatures around him take damage equivalent to tier 2 constantly while within the radius, as well as their internal body temperature begins rising rapidly causing minor hallucinations and causing Water and Ice techniques below tier 3 to evaporate immediately, rendering them wholely ineffective.

Toshiro watched as a flurry of attack unleashed by Rin towards the Arrancar occurred. It seemed his warming, or maybe her intuition had been enough to catch the Arrancar blocking his attack and creating a counter-attack. Toshiro tried to move again, it had become easier, but it still he was restricted he had to watch as his squad member took on this rather arrogant and impressively strong Arrancar alone for the most part.
Again the Arrancar disappeared, it seemed as though this was common with him. He was all about quick, sudden attacks. He did not take his opponents head on, but rather he wanted to keep them off guard, separate them, and surprise them. It certainly wasn’t a bad strategy, many different combatants happened to implore that tactic. The downside of course was that it was terribly cowardly move, but when it came to war and battles that often times means nothing. Times were increasingly more deadly and with this Arrancar it would be no different it seemed.
Toshiro watched as quickly the Arrancar reappeared, the functions of his body coming back to him now. He pulsed his reiatsu throughout his body with increaseng pressure, in an attempt to break the lose bonds that still held him and finally with some effort it had broken as the beam of energy began to appear at his finger. A burst of energy again and Toshiro placed himself in front of the blast that was headed for his squad member, Rin.
His blade drawn Toshiro swung his blade sending out a massive surge of reiatsu, his Kenatsu stopping the impeding Cero. However it was clear this was a simple technique for the Arrancar a quick one at that, meant to surprise someone and not necessarily injure them severely. As the dust settled Toshiro turned to the Arrancar as he began speaking, sensing that Rin was uninjured at least for now. His speech was short and to the point as he unleashed his blade and his power, shouting the words that altered not only the severity of the situation, but at the same time the atmosphere and the Arrancar himself. It was more demon than human anymore as it stood in front of him, flames all throughout his body. The air around him and around Toshiro felt unusually warm. It seemed the Captain and this Arrancar had opposing elements as their guide, often times not a good sign for him to be up against. Ice and fire were never friends and often times fire was the one to trump ice.
Toshiro would be a fool to say he wasn’t worried, the situation had escalated drastically and it seemed as though there would be no easy way around it all. It was clear that the Arrancar’s goal was to assess the true power of Toshiro, however it would not be needed at least not yet, his Bankai would be at a disadvantage and right now he certainly could not risk it’s use completely.
“Sit upon the frozen heavens!” Toshiro would shout as he unleashed his shikai, the minor changes to the blade around him and the graying of the sky above them would all be indication of such. His reaitsu would pulse with more strength as the Arrancar spoke again, now speaking to Rin.
“Your hate is towards me. Your anger. Why involve so many others when you simply want me to be the one to test your powers? Are you that cowardly that you must resort to such deceptive tricks?” Toshiro’s voice was without motion, his eyes lacking them as well as he looked at the creature in front of him.
“If it’s a test of strengths you want, that will be the contest you lose at.”
The captain pointed his blade at the Arrancar, the heat pounding around them, only made slightly better by the change in temperature given off by his own release, though the heat itself was clearly there. He prepared himself for the Arrancar’s attack, he knew it wouldn’t be long.
Finally, you can use Ken'atsu, the ability to swing beams that are simply the normal sharpness and pressure of your blade at the speed of a Cero without a single cooldown post
As the Arrancar countered her blade again and again, the female realized he was toying with her. Rin was an expert when it came to sword fighting, and there were few in her division that could match her skill. It was easy enough for her to tell when someone was toying with her or when they were truly struggling, and it was clear the Arrancar was clearly not part of the latter group. And the Arrancar outright dodged the final attack.
Rin looked around, her blade held in front of her as she searched for the Arrancar. She was really getting tired of this disappearing act, it was pure cowardice. Not seeing him around her, she looked up, and spotted him. A familiar reddish ball of energy was gathering along his finger, and Rin knew in an instant what that was: a cero. She'd noticed him too late so there wasn't any time to dodge; she'd have to counter. The effect would be useless against the Arrancar she was sure, but with the energy from the kidou surrounding her, it should lessen the damage. There'd be no time for an incantation, but hopefully it would weaken the ability enough for Rin to survive. "Hado forty one, Hotaro Shi-" Rin didn't have time to finish the words before Hitsugaya was in front of her, sword held out and ready to counter. Seconds later, the cero collided with the burst of energy Toushirou had released, stopping the cero. Rin huffed, knowing the Arrancar was right, much as she loathed to admit it. "You should have attacked him." Rin was never a fan of others stepping in and saving her from an ability, it made her feel like a burden to the other.
The Arrancar was speaking again, and his form changed drastically. Heat poured from the reiatsu that surrounded him, some of the buildings closest to the Arrancar even become ablaze from the heat. Great, just what they needed. Rin hated the heat, and it was just their luck that the Arrancar who decided it would be fun to break into the Soul Society happened to employ a fire release. He tried goading the captain into using his Bankai, but the child prodigy only released his Shikai. "Squall, Raiu." Sparks of blue lightning danced down the length of her blade, engulfing the bladed part in lightning. A part of Rin suspected by the time this battle was over, the captain would be forced to use his Bankai. Rin hoped his would be enough: she was far too inexperienced with her own to use it in combat. Her shikai would have to be enough. "Raijuu Tsukai, Itachi." A small weasel floated around the pair, its white body crackling with lightning as it zipped around in the air, almost in a playful manner.
{Spoiler}Name: Denkousekka (電光石火, Quick as Lightning) Class: Shikai Technique Tier: II/III Type: Passive/Augmentation Range: Self Description: Grants the user x2 natural speed passively. Alternatively, the user can bolster this to an x3 boost with a tier III.

The familiar then is summoned, and proceeds to fight alongside the user. The summons have a maximum range of 100 meters that they are allowed to be away from the user.
Itachi (鼬, Weasel) A small white weasel crackling with lightning. It is the same as a tier II, and moves at the speed of a bala. Lasts a maximum of eight posts, but is often summoned repeatedly with its lack of a cooldown.
The Arrancarr let out a soft chuckle as he shook his head "What a shame... What a shame, what a shame" He repeated over and over, his chuckle turning into a bit of a maniacal laughter "What a true shame! Only your Shikai..." His laughter suddenly died off as he looked down directly at Toshiro "And here I thought you were taking this fight seriously, I guess I'll have to truly endanger you and your subordinate!" He raised his hand slowly as the fire that coated him began swarming towards his hand "Incinerar" He pulled his hand back before swiping it forward, almost like he was backhanding someone before a gout of fire spewed forth to envelop everything in front of him. Over and over he swung his hand forth, enveloping not just where the Shinigami were but also everything around them "How long until you release your Bankai, Hitsuguya Taicho? If this doesn't persuade you then how about this; Agotar su Carne" He pulled the fire surrounding him into him for but a brief moment before allowing it to explode outwards, the firey explosion enveloping everything rapidly as it moved at Cero speeds. "If you don't start taking this battle seriously Toshiro, you and your companion will die beneath my flames!"
After the explosion he vanished once more, however this time appeared in front of the two "Now, the time for games is over. Show me your Bankai or I won't hold back anymore and my next attack will kill you. By now you should've already guessed what my Ressurecion does, and you should realize why I was sent... So if you truly wish to stop me, STOP TOYING WITH ME!" He raised his hand once more to send another gout of flaming spewing out towards Toshiro.
Name: Decaimiento (Decay) Tier: III Type: Passive Range: 30 Meters Description: Decaimiento causes the very area around him to begin to wither and decay due to simply the intense heat that emanates from him. Name: Incinerar (Incinerate) Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: 30 Meters Description: Incinerar calls forth a gout of fire to spew forth from his hand, enveloping everything caught within and searing their very skin. Unattended objects (I.E. A building) are completely destroyed by this attack.
Name: Agotar su Carne (Consume their flesh) Tier: VII Type: Offensive Range: 50 Meters Description: Agotar su Carne is clearly his most powerful attack, by sucking in the flames that coat his body he can unleash a devastating explosion all around him that attempts to completely consume everything within. This attack alone is powerful enough to badly scar the flesh of anyone if caught off guard and even if someone is prepared can severely damage them regardless.
