Kira was the name of Squad Three's lieutenant, as well as their temporary captain while they waited for someone worthy of the position to take up that seat. He had a great deal of duties to fulfill, from filling out paperwork, to directing the flow of the squad members. Recently, a human had somehow broken into the soul society rather unceremoniously, raising many alarms and attracting the attention of the thirteen court guard squads and the members stationed within the seireitei. She had ended up wounding only a handful of soul reapers, but for some odd reason, the squad four barracks had still had a massive influx of soul reapers being rushed to them from areas that the invading human was not even seen in. These soul reapers had found themselves in the squad four barracks because they had been consumed by the potential for honor and glory, notoriety, and possible promotions for having caught an allegedly very powerful enemy. Their hubris, their thirst for glory had lead them to fight amongst other squads and in some cases among themselves, resulting in more casualties than just Kenji and his group. An issue was raised for the medical squad when their other duties were pulled into the equation. |

They had to help with repairs to the damaged areas of the Seireitei where all of these idiots... these soul reapers were having their glory duels. They also had to help maintain the other squad's barracks, feed prisoners, maintain the sewers for the entirety of the seireitei, clean just about everywhere, and on top of that- they had to fix shattered floors and seven obliterated walls from where Squad Three's officer had been defeated by the invader. They simply did not have enough people to handle all of that, and because of that, they had to reach out to former members. Kira, having been a former member of Squad Four, had been asked to help with the overflow with his experience in the art of healing. The lieutenant was already inundated with work and could not find any time to help at all. However, he did know that Mitsuoki, a recent addition to his squad, had a very considerable amount of experience with kido since he was a very high ranking member of the kido corps, back when he was part of them. He was not high ranking in the sense of being an officer, but rather, he was high ranking in the sense that his mastery of the demon arts had relatively few equals. |

He also knew that the kido corps' soshi was a fairly experienced healer, so it was a possibility that she had passed on her knowledge of the healing arts to her subordinates. Mitsuoki was called from the field via hell butterfly to Kira's office where the situation was explained, and he was asked to take Kira's place. Mitsuoki had said "It would seem you overestimate my abilities, Kira. My healing capabilities are very basic at the best. I would be able to assist with analgesic and sterilization, and highly superficial damage work at the best- if you would still like me to change tasks." in a very calm tone that also relayed a sense of humility. Kira had said that any help given the the medical corps would be better than none at all, and signed off on an official order for Mitsuoki to have his duties switched from patrolling the Squad Three district to aiding in healing of the injured soul reapers. The soul reaper had bowed to Kira respectfully and said that he would immediately head over to the squad four barracks, as well as had thanked his kind lieutenant for entrusting this task to him. It was quite possibly the most important task that Mitsuoki was given ever since joining the third squad. |

Upon arriving, Mitsuoki had sought out the first form of authority he could find to explain that he would be stepping in for Kira Izuru. They were not particularly pleased with the fact that the person they requested had not shown up, but they understood his situation and was grateful enough that he sent someone to take his place that they did not have to devote time to training. Mitsuoki was shown to a room with a group of men that had gotten injured by being hit by debris that was a result of a nearby fight. They had very minor wounds, and Mitsuoki and the other medical workers could tell that they were just milking their injuries to get out of working. Regardless, his orders were to get these six people back to one hundred percent and out of the barracks. Mitsuoki had looked at the men with an unimpressed look, with all of them looking back at him with a fairly arrogant one. They knew that he was obligated to heal them, and he knew that he was obligated to heal them, even if he honestly did not want to do anything to help them with any of their injuries. |
