NEVER GIVE UP
⚔
Sam floated on her back, sea water spraying over her astral form while the night stars glimmered above. Again? This dream… She'd had it earlier in the Human world... before she'd returned from her post. Shortly after she'd been attacked by an Arrancar... The face of her enemy still lit upon the edge of Sam's memories, but now wasn't the time to think about such a thing. This dream was not her calling. She recognized it now as the inner world of her Zanpakutou. It's spirit world laid out before her. Sam floated up much like before and looked to the shore, to a house so very reminiscent of the one she'd lived during her life among the living. The form of a small creature zipped past her head, aimed straight for the house's porch. Sam followed, floating over the shallow waves and up onto the porch. She didn't make to chase the creature like before, simply watched it vanish through the solid wall of the building. Reaching for the door, Sam pushed it open, stepping beyond its threshold and into a long dead expanse of hills and grass.. She didn't need to turn around this time to know that when the door swung shut it, as well as the house were now gone. She now stood seemingly alone in a vast and seemingly endless dead landscape. The sky bore crimson yet there were no flames licking at it to bear such a color. The wind carried screams, as if from some long distant battlefield. Tortured souls, wailing in agony and pain. No matter how long she stared, the hills remained desolate, and covered with dry, dead foliage. "I see you waited for me this time..." Sam's eyes fell upon a creature, the one who'd passed her up before the house. Sam's Zanpakutou spirit fluttered upon opaque silver wings, and though her body was no larger than six inches in height, she appeared humanoid. Her hair streamed from her shoulders, past the waist. And eyes that Sam could not see stared off into the distance. "I have healed. But your heart is still a long way from recovery..." Though the spirit addressed Sam in response, it did not turn to face her. Only continued to stare out into the vast wasteland beyond as she spoke.
Sam was glad she'd chosen a rooftop sitting within the shade of several large trees. Opening her eyes to the swaying leaves above her the Shinigami sighed before pushing herself up into a sitting position. Her Zanpakutou lay by her side and she picked it up, unsheathing it to reveal its newly reformed blade. "So you have healed I see. But what exactly is it you find so wrong with my heart?" Sam re-sheathed her sword, laying it at her side once more. It'd been about a week since she'd returned from her patrol in the human world and reported the whereabouts of the Arrancar to her captain. He'd seemed both eager to fight this monster named Gwen Olivarez, and equally disappointed in Sam for not keeping tabs on her long enough for him to fight the Arrancar. Impossible expectations. Even for Sam, tailing someone as powerful as Gwen without getting caught or killed in the process? Sometimes she felt glad to not be a higher ranking member of Squad 11. Such expectations were far beyond her pay grade... A gentle breeze passed through, ruffling the Shinigami's hair. Several long platinum-blond threads fell, threatening to tickle her face and she blew at them with a halfhearted effort to reassemble the loose strands into a less annoying position. "What am I even doing..." Sam muttered, wrapping her arms around her knees, gazing out over the wall that separated the 75th Rukongai district from the Seireitei.
Shiro pulled the Shihakusho up off the closet door. She'd seen Mitsuoki wearing these things and figured it was some form of official uniform. Based on what Kouta had said, Shiro checked the inside tab. It did indeed have the symbol for 6 written inside. That was a good thing to know. She probably didn't have to sneak around since she'd been offered this uniform earlier, but Shiro couldn't shake the feeling that what she was planning to do with it once she'd put it on was somehow wrong.
Kouta was out but Shiro moved to the bedroom she'd been borrowing during her visits and closed the door anyway. The last thing she needed was for him to come home, see her, and make some comment about her nakedness. Her face turned red even at the thought of such an incident happening. Sure she wouldn't be completely naked in this thing but she doubted she was supposed to wear her regular street clothes underneath of it.
Shiro glanced around at the entrance to Kouta's house to make sure he wasn't nearby. Since she'd never really worn anything like it before, the Shihakusho felt strange and foreign to her. At the same time it felt oddly liberating, kind of like wearing skirts really. And for that reason she'd kept her underwear on. That and the thought of going commando in something Kouta used to wear sent an unbearable wave of heat rising over her face.
A few Spark Steps later Shiro was at the edge of town. She was on the border between curiosity and wariness for what she was about to do. On the one side she truly, truly wanted to see the Seireitei from the inside. It was a place the Shinigami, Mitsuoki, worked. It was also one of the few places in Soul Society in which she hadn't had a chance to explore yet and it was supposed to be the best of the best from what she understood. Home to the noble families and something called the Gotei 13.
On the other hand, she was aware of the implications of entering the Seireitei unannounced. Mitsuoki had explained it and from what she understood it was some sort of sectioned off military base. Which only meant that she needed to be careful while inside. Limit her contact with others and keep her presence hidden. She obviously had a different presence. Everyone did. Mitsuoki's presence was obviously different than Theocelese' and even theirs were both different than the Hollow she'd encountered before. It only made sense for her as a human to have a unique presence as well. She only prayed that her training paid off and no one would notice her while she harmlessly explored.

NEVER GIVE UP
⚔
Sam had decided to return to the Seireitei after mulling over her thoughts. Obviously sitting outside moping about her issues wasn't going to solve anything. "I should just admit to them that I wasn't cut out for Squad 11... Not that they'd really argue once they see what my Shikai really does anyway..." She sighed. Some part of her kept nagging, telling her this decision was just her way of giving up. But at the same time what could she do about it? All that cutting people with her shikai really did was heal them for crying out loud. It wasn't like she'd be useful in any real fight if she needed to get serious. Thinking about it now, it would be better to admit to now than to wait until her aid failed in protecting a fellow squad member just because her weapon couldn't actually cut anything... at all!
"Going back so soon?" The gatekeeper greeted Samantha upon seeing her return to the protective wall. "Yeah. I think I've figured out what I want to do now. Thanks." She stated when the gatekeeper lifted the large solid door to allow the Shinigami back inside. "That's good to hear. Well I hope everything works out for you then." It was genuine. Though she'd never actually come to learn this particular gatekeeper's name, they'd known each other for a while now.
Shiro zipped along the wall at a fair distance, keeping an eye out for the oversized gates she knew existed. The key issue was finding one that was opened, or would be opened for at least a short period of time. She only prayed it wasn't someone powerful guarding the entryways. Shiro had nothing against Shinigami so she really didn't have the motivation to face them in serious combat if it came down to it.
It didn't take long for Shiro to spot someone who would obviously need to return to the Seireitei beyond the wall at some point. Tailing the person was easy, her presence didn't feel particularly strong so Shiro doubted the woman could detect her from the distance she maintained. After an hour of waiting, Shiro finally noticed movement. The Shinigami moved, not in the normal way but quickly, using a stepping move similar to her own. Shiro followed, careful to stay back with just enough distance to keep from being noticed. This one was indeed heading back it seemed. Shiro was glad too, had she waited any longer she might very well have given up hope of getting a chance to enter the Seireitei.
The Shinigami woman walked up to the gate, where the all-too-obvious gatekeeper stood. After a short exchange between the two, the gatekeeper lifted up the heavy door. His presence didn't feel particularly strong either but looking at him lift the enormous block of wall did make her wonder... The passing thought was gone a moment later and Shiro returned to her focus. Judging by how easily she'd kept up with the Shinigami woman, it was likely after a while that Shiro could lose her if she chose to give chase and follow.
Shiro gulped. Once she was inside she likely wouldn't be coming back out through this gate again. That was fine. She had other ways of getting out if the need to do so became an issue after all.

NEVER GIVE UP
⚔
Sam was about to say her farewells to the gatekeeper when she felt an unusually strong presence wash over her. It was a foreign presence and something she couldn't recognize. It didn't feel Hollow, or Quincy, or even Shinigami for that matter. But it was in every sense of the word, Strong. It didn't click that she'd only sensed the presence because the person it belonged to passed by her, mere inches away until it was already too late.
Sam's hair scattered to the wind as Shiro Flash Stepped passed the unsuspecting Shinigami and her gatekeeper friend at speeds neither of them could properly gauge. The gatekeeper's eyes were wide-eyed in fixed horror as Sam twisted around, equally wide-eyed, to grab a glimpse of the figure, fading far too quickly into the distance for her to properly recognize beyond the obviously worn Shihakusho and the long flowing brown hair belonging to whoever it was that'd just shot passed them.
"I... don't think that was a Shinigami..." The gatekeeper stated matter of fact.
"I think you might be right." Sam replied, still gaping at what'd just happened.
"That was my gate she just passed through wasn't it?"
"Uh... huh..."
"I really don't want to get into trouble for this... Are you going to report it?"
"Uh... Nope..." Like hell she could report this incident to anyone... She'd get way more flak than she could bear from her current squad if she reported this and had to admit she hadn't at least tried to give chase. And now the intruder was a speck on the wind. Yeah, there was no way she could keep up with that kind of speed... Sam looked over her shoulder to the gatekeeper and frowned. "Shouldn't you uh... I dunno... close that?"
"Oh...! Uh... Right!" The gatekeeper responded, stepping back outside the gate and allowing it to slam closed.
Mitsuoki was in his room, reading a book to a particular human child about a guy who ended up getting randomly transported to a fantasy world. They had gotten a few chapters in before he heard the loud and rapid thundering of feet, as well as a panic in the halls of the barracks. Mitsuoki held Akane while getting up and gently set her down once he was standing. He marked his book where he left off and set it down, saying "I'll be right back." before heading out. Leaving the room, Mitsuoki grabbed the next person passing him by the shoulder and stopped them dead in their tracks. "What the hell, Noble!?" the man asked with an annoyed expression, immediately switching to "GUAH!" when Mitsuoki's forehead slammed into his nose. "That's Mitsuoki, to you. Why is everyone rushing about? Be swift before my patience runs out with you." he said in a cold, heartless tone. The man, covering his nose, said "We got a-" he was interrupted by the squad's temporary captain and actual lieutenant holding Mitsuoki's wrist. Mitsuoki let him go and turned to face Kira, waiting for the debriefing.
Kira had explained that there was an unfamiliar spiritual pressure felt roaming around near the squad nine barracks and all squad members of all squads were to head in that direction and close off all routes. Normally, the captain would send the lieutenant and other four officers with their own small team to cut off the invaders. They would also head out on their own as a much faster, much more mobile, army of one. Kira was the acting captain but knew he wasn't able to fight on the same level as them. The spiritual pressure sensed was pretty heavy, so he wasn't going to try and be a hero. Mitsuoki was informed that he would be taking four members with him to cut off the Ryoka, and ordered Mitsuoki to go with one of the officers, a man name 'Kenji.' who was reasonably strong. He was the fifth seat officer at present and his zanpakuto was supposedly a physical one, which made him a lot stronger and faster with better cutting power.
Following behind Kenji, Mitsuoki ran through the Squad Three zone and continued moving while trying to think about the target's movement. They were in squad nine's zone, and had been in the area for an unknown amount of time. It would mean that this person was likely disguised as a shinigami. There haven't been any alarms going off prior to the last few moments, so they haven't destroyed anything. It's possible that they've assassinated all of their targets, but no missing squad members have been reported lately. Well, except for certain captains and those deployed outside the seireitei. This person's spiritual pressure was fairly massive to stand out so greatly... Mitsuoki's eyes opened wide and he said "Kenji, hold up." causing their leader to pause and scold Mitsuoki, stating that he better have a good reason. "Our target is in squad nine's zone, they could not have gotten there without passing through any other squad. I will break from the group to relay this message- any of you who come across another shinigami, even if you recognize them, make them show their squad insignia. You would be looking for someone with five, six, eight, ten, eleven, or thirteen- likely traveling among a group of nines." Kenji's expression changed from annoyed to accepting and he nodded, saying "Right. Squad three, move out!" and the two split.
Shiro would see various black butterflies with violet accents, the hell butterflies, moving about. There would be enough of them to reach every squad officer and captain. If Shiro was traveling in a group, she would immediately be asked to show her squad insignia. Once it was discovered she was the member who didn't belong, they would attack her in an attempt to subdue her. If she was not traveling in a group, she would not have to deal with this issue. By this point, it would have likely been a couple of hours that she was roaming around the seireitei.
Thankfully the two at the gate hadn't seemed interested in giving chase. Which suited Shiro's fancy just fine. She didn't want any trouble. She was quite honestly only here to look around. When had she become so curious Shiro wondered. Maybe it was her baser human instincts of wanting to know about the unknown that'd brought her to decide on such an unorthodox method of entry.
Once she'd gotten far enough from the gate, Shiro stopped her steps. She figured she was probably giving off more of a presence by moving around at ridiculous speeds so it'd be best not to attract too much attention. She startled a couple squad 9 members when she stopped and they gawked at her in surprise. "Sorry!" Shiro blurted out as she jumped over the two men to avoid toppling into them. Her jump took her over the divide and onto another path before she'd finally stopped moving like a lunatic. "I wonder what section this is..." Looking around, Shiro couldn't locate any way to actually identify what part of the Seireitei she was actually in. It was called the Gotei 13 right? So why wasn't anything marked then? Jumping back over the divide in the paths, Shiro again startled the two Shinigami she'd nearly run into. "Sorry... I'm kinda new around here and I think I may be lost... Would you mind telling me what area I'm in?"
"You're new?" One of the Shinigami asked. He could hardly believe such an idea. After all this woman had just been using steps, something even he wasn't capable of doing yet. He kind of wondered if maybe she was one of the noble's privileged daughters or something. Probably out wandering away from her squad too... "What squad are you in?"
"Me?" Shiro asked, pointing to herself as she asked the question, wondering why he was answering her question with another question.
"Yes you." The other Shinigami retorted.
"I'm in Squad Six." So knowing the number was a good thing then... Shiro let out an inward sigh of relief at having memorized the number on her Shihakusho.
"well you're a long way away from Squad Six's area girlie." The same Shinigami, he seemed to be the snootier of the two... "This is Squad Nine's jurisdiction. Squad Six's district is to the south, Past the Kido Corps and squad Seven's district." He pointed with some arrogance to where Squad Six was supposed to be.
So it was passed that large rocky mountain looking thing and the raised buildings that looked like they towered over everything else? "Thanks. I appreciate the directions." Shiro waved and proceeded to jump back over the divide again. She'd head over in that direction, at least she might stand out less if she was with similar company? She wasn't sure she could really call them that. They were Shinigami and while she was wearing one of their uniforms she was still technically human...
"Zanpakuto...?" The gentler of the two Shinigami noted.
"What?" The snooty one asked him in response.
"I'm pretty sure that wasn't a zanpakuto she was carrying..." He nodded.
No one at the Kido Corps centre questioned seeing Mitsuoki randomly show up and begin working with the hell butterflies. It had been a long time since he transferred out; but they knew that if he was there, there was a reason for it, and it was good enough to justify staying out of his way. One member who was new had cautiously approached Mitsuoki while he was giving the butterflies the message to relay and asked about it, but Mitsuoki ignored him and continued working. One of his old roommates had approached behind him and just said to let it slide, informing him that Mitsuoki was an old member of the kidoshu, predating the current Soshi. Once he had finished his task, his roommate asked the question that everyone else was wondering, and Mitsuoki said "Have a group on standby for defensive combat. There's a Ryoka in squad nine's district and we don't know what direction they're heading. Anyone you see, make them show you their squad insignia. If they're from a squad that's against the wall, and not accompanied by an officer, detain them." and began walking out of the Kido Corps' base. While he didn't have the authority to order them around, no one was going to tell him off when there was a Ryoka involved.
Down on the ground, Kenji and his group had come across a young woman who was seemingly alone, with long, brown hair. She had a zanpakuto with her, but it lacked any spiritual pressure the way other zanpakuto had. The other three squad members ran up behind him, placing their hands on their zanpakuto in preparation to attack. "Sir, is this the Ryoka?" one of them asked. Kenji had said to Shiro "You there, what squad are you?" After which, he would glance at Shiro's weapon and ask "What's the name of your zanpakuto?" If Shiro hesitated, he would say "Your zanpakuto. You're in the gotei, so it's got a name. What is it?" in a slightly impatient tone. He had already figured her out, Kenji wasn't the average dullard. He'd earned his officer's seat because of his intelligence as well as battle ability, not like some of the others who were lucky enough to have super powerful weapons.
Once Shiro had announced the name of her zanpakuto, or if she hadn't announced any at all and just kept hesitating, Kenji would say "Squad three, capture the Ryoka!" to which his three subordinates would shout "Sir!" and charge at Shiro. They weren't the best of fighters, at least, compared to Shiro; but, she would find that numbers counted for something- even if it was minor. Once they were downed, she would have to face Kenji, who was trained to fight by Renji Abarai of squad six after beating him in a game of chess that Renji had no hopes of winning from the start.

So... was the reason everyone had been running about in a frenzy like something was wrong because of her? Shiro had been wondering about it since a few minutes prior to being confronted by Kenji and his men. Everything seemed to have been calm and orderly but the people at the gate must have reported suspicious activity or something... That or they had some other form of detection she hadn't anticipated. This might have been a bad idea after all...
Shiro paused when the four Shinigami approached, clearly looking for something... or someone. "Ryoka...?" Shiro asked quietly to herself. Was it some sort of code word or something? She didn't have much time to think about it when the one who'd first approached decided to address her. She flinched, slightly at the abruptness of his question, but maintained her composure. She could get through this without causing problems. Maybe... "I'm with squad six." It was an honest lie. At least she could prove it if they asked her to... But she was thrown through a loop at turn of the next question. Zanpakuto? Crap that's right! Shinigami called their swords Zanpakuto... but what did he mean about it's name? Shiro looked to her Katana, of which she'd instinctively placed a ready hand upon it's hilt. She relaxed her grip on the sword and looked to the one who'd asked about its name. She hadn't named the Katana she'd received as a gift from Theocelese. Hadn't thought it needed one. "It doesn't have a name." She replied after he insisted again that she tell him her Zanpakuto's name.
Dammit! So this was a trap? Shiro couldn't do anything about not having a Zanpakuto. She should have figured it'd be a dead giveaway... Too late for that now though it seemed. Shiro assumed a defensive stance as the three approached. She'd practiced lots, though most of it had been in one on one spars. Either way these guys didn't seem like they would be all that tough. NO. Don't underestimate your opponent. Shiro flashed her gaze at the incoming Shinigami. Even if they were weak by comparison, she shouldn't underestimate what they were capable of.
The first squad member reached Shiro ahead of his companions and raised his Zanpakuto to strike. It'd been a mistake to do so. A mistake he soon regretted as he took the butt end of Shiro's katana to his jaw. His teeth rattled with the force of the blow, even as his jaw inadvertently closed in on his tongue. She'd only partly drawn her sword, choosing to defend herself rather than go on the offensive against these men. She had no reason to harm them. If anything their actions were completely justified against her. But at the same time she really wanted to avoid the embarrassment of getting caught.
The other two squad members, seeing their comrade fall over backwards from the Shiro's blow only to strike his head on the ground, turned to her with anger written all over their faces. They shouted as they continued their charge. They wouldn't let a stinking ryoka get away with beating down one of their own. Shiro on the other hand, had other plans. She quickly drew her Katana completely from it's sheath and swiftly reversed it so that the blunt end of the blade would face her swings. The second member closed in, his Zanpakuto angled at his side as he dove to strike against Shiro. In a swift, seemingly fluid motion, Shiro adjusted the initial arc of her sword to block. The Shinigami's blade made contact with the back of Shiro's own blade and for a split second he rejoiced in making a successful connection. She would be struck by his companion for sure now that he occupied her blade. The next moment however had him utterly confused as Shiro overpowered the hold he had on his Zanpakuto and sent it flying up into the air. He was still dazed and confused by what'd happened when the blunt side of Shiro's blade connected with his midriff. He Felt, and was certain he could even hear the sound of at least one rib cracking as Shiro's maneuver sent his body flying like a rag-doll into the one remaining comrade. The third Shinigami had prepared an angled sweep which with the coordination of his other squad member, should have allowed him to land a strike on the ryoka. Instead the body of his companion slammed into him with more force than he'd ever felt before. Both went flying into a nearby wall where they simultaneously lost consciousness...
"I don't want to fight you..." Shiro said calmly, keeping a steady hold on her Katana as she returned to a defensive stance and addressed the one remaining shinigami. She really hoped she hadn't overdone it with those three... Giving a quick glance to the ones by the wall... They all appeared to be unconscious...
"Ryoka have no right to refuse. The order has been given to us and you must either be captured or dealt with." Kenji stated with grim assurance. Shiro was about to protest his statement and explain that she really and honestly meant them no harm, but Kenji's form disappeared, alerting her to a clear and imminent threat. He wasn't like his subordinates! Shiro raised her Katana just in time to catch Kenji's Zanpakuto in a block. The force of his Zanpakuto's blow sent debris and even Shiro's own hair, flying back behind her.
Dammit! Why did everyone want to fight her? Even the Japanese police force wasn't this absurdly eager to come to blows. They'd at least have asked her to come peacefully first... Shiro shoved against Kenji's continued pressure, pushing his weapon back before jumping back herself. "I don't want to fight you-" Shiro barely managed to get out. Kenji vanished again, reappearing behind Shiro to deal a whirling blow to her back. Maybe it was because she didn't see these people as enemies... Perhaps that was why when Kenji's attack landed, he more than successfully launched her into the wall opposite the one she'd sent his companions into. Unlike the two however, Shiro striking the wall caused it to explode and collapse into rubble. The force used by Kenji was so great it even sent Shiro into the next wall, which cracked massively but somehow managed to maintain its form.
Months of bashing herself with rocks really had paid off... Though the blow had surprised Shiro, it hadn't really hurt that much. "Dammit... why won't you listen to me?" Shiro groaned in annoyance, pushing off a large piece of wall that'd landed on her. Kenji spared no hesitation, launching himself through the shattered wall and right towards where Shiro was taking her time standing up from the rubble. Shiro caught a glancing blow as she narrowly avoided another attack, resulting in the destruction of yet another section of wall as the brunt of Kenji's Zanpakuto made contact with it instead of Shiro. Shiro jumped out of the way just as the second wall also exploded, sending chunks of debris flying everywhere, some pieces narrowly missing Kenji's own unconscious men. He was going to hurt them Shiro noted, Opting to Spark Step somewhere away from them if she really wasn't going to be able to avoid this fight...
Kenji followed via Shunpo. He couldn't let this ryoka escape. Especially not now that she'd actually injured several Gotei 13 members. So when she stopped moving, Kenji was right on top of her with another crushing attack. The ground cracked and split, dust and debris flew into the air obscuring vision. Kenji waited. He knew the ryoka wasn't in front of him anymore. She'd avoided his blow yet again it seemed...
Shiro's jump into the air seemed to have confused her assailant... or so she'd figured until his eyes darted up to her present location above him. Whatever, this was starting to get really annoying. Reaching out her free hand, Shiro focused her energy into a downward arc.
So far the woman hadn't used any kind of attacks other than through her sword. While she did seem to have the strength, Kenji was wondering when she'd decide to get serious. It came as no surprise when he looked up and saw Shiro pointing a palm at him. Great... so she did have something up her sleeve then besides powerful sword attacks and an uncanny ability to dodge his own. His eyes widened at the scope of Shiro's attack to come. Blueish white, almost electric-looking energy shot forth from her palm. He'd barely had enough time to avoid the attack as it crashed into the ground, right where he'd already struck. He breathed a small sigh of relief. He'd catch a break after this and strike back. Or so he'd thought but this ryoka was proving to be quite tricky. What he'd anticipated to be a one-off attack, turned out it wasn't. The arcing lightning, as it seemed, was now pathing towards him at a ridiculous speed, splitting the ground as it bore a path towards him. It was some sort of sustained attack!? Kenji's shunpo carried him beyond another wall but it didn't seem to stop the attack this woman was throwing at him as she seemed to be guiding its direction to intentionally follow him. The worst part was she didn't seem to be descending from her position up in the sky... How was she even doing that?
Shiro stopped her Arc Lightning just shy of actually hitting Kenji. She still didn't want to hurt him but... she needed to stop this fighting if she still wanted to be able to reason her way out of trouble. And the more they fought, the more she realized how hard that was going to be. The area was really starting to take some damage... She would finish it with the next attack then...
With a single Spark Step, Shiro returned to the ground. Shifting her Katana to her side she charged it. This time with an energy she was fairly certain she could use to stop the fight. What seemed like thousands of tiny sparks of electricity shimmered and arced over and around her Katana. Kenji braced himself before launching at Shiro. His form was good, unlike his subordinates. There would be no avoiding his blow this time as he approached the ryoka at breakneck speed.
Then the world stood still...
Shiro's blade connected. Kenji's... not so much as he failed to lower his guard enough to intercept the blunt of Shiro's blade.
And then the clock started ticking again...
Kenji felt the air in his lungs escape even as the force and an unusual tingling sensation coursed throughout his entire body. He was propelled at speeds which no human or even Shinigami should ever move. Through one... two... a total of seven walls... Each exploded less and less as they progressively absorbed the impact of Kenji's body, until he landed between the seventh and eight wall. In pain. Lots and lots of pain. Though he remained conscious, for some strange reason he couldn't move. whenever he tried to move the tingling sensation he'd felt would intensify and restrict him... Even if she hadn't outright defeated him... there was no way he could do anything to fight back while he remained under the affects of whatever ability it was she'd struck him with...
Standing at the top of a fairly tall building, Mitsuoki had kneeled down and watched as his squad's fifth seat and the ryoka interacted. Kenji had elected to ask the girl's squad rather than making her show her emblem, which ran counter to Mitsuoki's order. Anyone could throw out a number between one and thirteen, very few could show an insignia and tell which squad it belonged to. It would seem, however, that Kenji had asked about something else since the girl seemed to freeze. 'The weapon...?' Mitsuoki thought to himself, making the guess from how Kenji gestured to the weapon. The three subordinate members were the first to be sent in. Kenji would likely say he wanted to stay out of their way; but, Mitsuoki knew that he was using them to gauge the invader's skill- which was pretty much the same thing Mitsuoki was doing. One was dispatched by taking a hilt to the jaw, the next by taking a sword to the stomach and the third by taking the last to the torso. Mitsuoki didn't see any blood so he had figured that the person had used the spine of the sword. 'Non-lethal defeat...' he commented in his own mind, paying attention still.
A longer than expected battle had begun between the girl and Kenji, resulting in a considerable amount of damage that Squad Four would be obligated to clean up. He could see that the girl was trying to talk to Kenji, to which Mitsuoki said under his breath "Pointless." Where Kenji was concerned, once the fight begun, there was no use in talking to the enemy. Mitsuoki had watched the battle long enough to notice the girl finally resorting to using a truly lethal attack, similar in nature to one that he had seen before. It was an attack that was surrounded by electrical discharge, belonging to only one human that he knew. Mitsuoki had only ever once heard of two people having the same zanpakuto, but he never met them in person; so, he highly doubted he would meet to spiritual beings with the same power. However, this person was considerably taller than the human who used that attack.
The battle had ended with the two beings performing a type of duel, with the invader utilizing an energy based attack that was powerful enough to send Kenji flying through multiple walls. Mitsuoki didn't spend any time on thinking whether or not he was alright, he was next in line to fight. Mitsuoki flash stepped to the floor before using his Pulse ability to move himself forward at Bala speed for quite some distance. He did this enough times to catch up to Shiro and place his hand on her back before saying "Activate Gatestone, Repentance Cell." which would cause both him and the human to vanish in a cloud of spirit particles before reappearing at the top of the tallest building in the entirety of the Seireitei.
Mitsuoki would quickly take a few small leaps back before pointing his index finger at Shiro with a sphere of energy already positioned at the tip of it. It was a technique he was working on that he hadn't fully perfected; but, at this distance, he couldn't miss. Shiro would easily be able to recognize the attack as a form of Cero, one that Mitsuoki had created. "I will not take the chance of you being an imposter. What was my order the last time we went to eat together?" The question was something that only Shiro would know. Not many spies cared to jot down what food someone was eating, it was honestly such a minor detail that very few people cared to remember it. Once Shiro had answered correctly, the energy at Mitsuoki's finger would fade away and Mitsuoki would say "Shiro...?" in disbelief.
Once she confirmed it was, indeed her, Mitsuoki would step closer and say "You look different... in a good way. You have grown." in a much warmer tone than usual. He would also look down at her weapon and say "He asked for its name, didn't he?" clearly referring to the katana. Whether Shiro answered or not, Mitsuoki would take a seat on top the repentance cell's roof with his legs flat, brushing them off and expecting Shiro to know the usual routine by this point. "Might I ask why it is, that you were in the seireitei?" he would ask in a calm tone once Shiro took a seat, regardless of where she sat.
Shiro sighed, the energy gathered into her Katana dissipating into nothingness. It was kind of weird really. While she hadn't entirely expected to go unnoticed, she'd thought for sure there'd be stronger people around. Not that she really wanted to fight stronger people... But looking around, it was pretty obvious they'd blame her for this mess... "Figures... All I wanted to do was have a look around and now I get to answer for this mess huh..." Sheathing her Katana, Shiro glanced over to where Kenji lay. Looking at the damage to the layers of wall made her cringe at how much he was probably hurting. "I told you I didn't want to fight. Why didn't you listen..." She turned to step away from this mess. She didn't want to be around the area if any others had heard the commotion and came running. If this was any indication then even if they couldn't handle her strength these people seemed like they'd still come at her. She really didn't want to hurt them but they wouldn't leave her any choice.
A sudden familiar presence struck Shiro and before she could turn around she felt a touch on her back as a familiar voice called out a translocation phase!
Shiro blinked. The scenery had all changed and it looked like she was somewhere in the vicinity of the mountainous construct she'd noticed earlier. She blinked again in disbelief before turning around. It was Mitsuoki alright. But why was he here- Oh wait... He was a shinigami too so of course he'd be here if he was on duty... Her eyes widened and she took a step back while instinctively placing a hand on the hilt of her Katana when she noticed Mitsuoki was charging an attack. "Wait! It's me! Shiro!" Shiro raised her free hand to protest his obviously aggressive posture. To which Mitsuoki asked her a question. "Ramen. With a slice of coconut cake, but why is that important? You know it's me!" The better question was why did she even remember such a thing... Shiro's face turned a small shade of red. Oh Gods! Just how infatuated was she...?
"Yes... It's me, Shiro Inazuma..." Shiro relaxed her posture, producing an apologetic bow. She obviously shouldn't be here and now she had to answer to Mitsuoki for it... "Ah. Thank you... I guess..." Shiro responded to his compliment. Of course she'd grown... Actually she seemed to have hit a bit of a growth spurt which she was kind of proud of, if only for the fact that she'd gotten taller. Shiro's thoughts wandered to other parts of her that hadn't been so lucky... She was still young though so they still had a chance to grow... She buried the thought immediately, her blush deepening as she looked to Mitsuoki.
A name... yeah Kenji had asked for her sword's name... "Yeah he did..." It wasn't customary to name one's sword in Shiro's understanding... Though a great many warriors had done so with blades in the past, so the living world did have its fair share of named swords at least...
She watched him sit and blushed some more. She was getting used to this routine it seemed... Shiro swept her Shihakusho under her herself and took a seat in the usual position on Mitsuoki's lap, only now noticing the horrendous shape her hair was in... She wondered if maybe she should cut it shorter at some point...
"Honest curiosity? I don't know... I am still Human you know. It's hard to say no to something when someone tells you you can't or shouldn't..." Shiro found a lock of her hair and twiddled it between her fingers, a few strands slowly escaped and fell back to their previous position. "Ugh I sound like such a child...!" Shiro groaned, burying her face in her knees. This whole plan of hers had been stupid from the start. She shouldn't have let Kouta tempt her like that! Now she felt like a total fool for falling for his allusions.
Facing south, Mitsuoki had parted his legs to let Shiro slide in. She had answered his question, saying that she was curious and that human nature was hard to counter. After which, she put her face in her knees while calling herself a child. Her tone had implied that she had realized just how bad of an idea this all was, which gave Mitsuoki a reason to not scold her too much. The soul reaper had reached his hands around to her waist and pulled himself closer to her, pressing his torso against her back before leaning forward into her. His hands stayed on her hips rather than wrapping around her. "It's okay." he said in a warm tone, or at least, warm compared to his usual one.
Mitsuoki's hands would slide up Shiro's sides from her waist, up her torso and around her arms up to her shoulders before gently pulling her back to remove her face from her knees. His aim was to get her to look forward to the horizon, where he would say "You wanted to see the Seireitei..."
If Shiro had asked about any buildings, Mitsuoki would tell her what it was after taking some time to point to several key locations. "Central forty six is where all of the major decisions are made. They are in charge of legislative and judicial acts- arrests and executions." he would point to the Squad One Barracks and say "The head captain heads the First Squad, as his name would imply. Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto is his name. He is in charge of the thirteen squads as a whole, and has a modicum of sway with Central Forty Six, but not much." he would then point to the Soul Reaper's academy. "He also started the Academy, which in turn gave way to the thirteen squads. At one point, he was an instructor; but, that was a great deal of time ago." He would move his finger slightly to the side, towards a collection of buildings near the academy's grounds. "The Kidoshu stands as a separate organization from the gotei. Their task is maintaining the various enchantments throughout the seireitei, as well as cataloging and creating combat capable kido. They are not supposed to actually participate in combat, but not all are so short sighted as to neglect training. Shinigami who wish to learn extremely powerful kido would require their assistance with the matter. The exception to that is Captains, who are already quite capable when using kido, and other members of the kidoshu- former members included."
Mitsuoki would then stand up and turn, pointing to a large cliff with a massive gash cut into it that was directly attached to the tower they were standing off. "That is Sokyoku Hill, or what is left of it. At one point, the thirteen squads learned a great deal of humility. There was a shinigami who was going to be executed, framed as a traitor. There was a human who she befriended who disagreed with that judgement. He did that." Mitsuoki pointed to the giant, destroyed execution pillars that were going to be used to kill Rukia. "The one who framed her possessed a zanpakuto that had power that was far greater than even the most virtuous of men should be given... and it corrupted him. He went on to kill the entirety of Central Forty-Six. Hollows had been trying to bridge the gap for centuries, millenia even; but he took it to the next level. The Arrancar that we know now were his creations, and he used them to attempt to take over the Soul Society... That human who stopped the shinigami's execution had many disagreements with that." Mitsuoki paused and let out a sigh of disappointment. "With that said, there are many shinigami who still regard humans as weak without acknowledging their potential."
Mitsuoki then turned to face Shiro and pointed down, at the building they were on top of. "This is the Repentance Cell. Those destined to die at Sokyoku Hill spend a minimum of twenty four hours in this tower. It is made of a type of stone that seals Spirit Pressure out, so they cannot break through it easily since any spiritual attack, including those with a zanpakuto, would quickly impact a barrier that even my kido cannot surpass." he would then turn and look out over the horizon. "Personally, I prefer the view from the top of the cell. Were I any good at painting, I would make a portrait of it."

Shiro felt Mitsuoki's closeness but chose to try and ignore it, though her face was continuing to grow warmer with embarrassment as a result. Mitsuoki's embrace came closer and Shiro regretted her attempts to ignore. He was probably the only Shinigami she could trust not to attack her on sight in this place she'd invaded. Invaded, because she hadn't been invited. Was it even possible to be invited to the Seireitei if one wasn't already a spiritually gifted soul or a Shinigami? Was it really okay like Mitsuoki claimed it to be? Shiro attempted to bury her face deeper into her knees but Mitsuoki's hands shifted up to her shoulders where he gently pulled her up, closer to him.
He was right, she had wanted to see the Seireitei... Shiro let Mitsuoki guide her view and she looked out over the whole of the Seireitei while he pointed out key areas and explained what they were. The central fourty six... So they did have a governing body of some sort then? She'd figured as much but hearing about from Mitsuoki it was even more fascinating. The academy? So... did that mean that all soul reapers didn't actually start out as soul reapers then? Other explanations followed before Mitsuoki stood but Shiro's thoughts lingered on the academy... "So the academy... can anyone go to the academy and become a Soul Reaper?" There went her curiosity again... By her tone it would be obvious that she'd fancied the idea of going. Maybe not to become a shinigami herself but maybe they'd let her go there and learn some of their culture or history? Her normal schooling was one thing and she'd kind of lost track of it lately in light of all the spiritual events in her life... but to learn something no one else could, now that would be something...
So the mountain, or cliff? Was some sort of punishment grounds? And it'd been destroyed by a human? What? So she hadn't been the first to enter the Seireitei then? Shiro felt slightly less guilty for it but knowing this fact still didn't change how wrong she'd been for sneaking in in the first place... "A human did that...!? Do you know his name?" Shiro turned to look at Mitsuoki. Shiro didn't know anyone who could do something like that... Then again knowledge about anything spiritual was kind of hushed. Even she avoided talking about herself and her abilities whenever she was with normal company. Like they'd even believe her anyway... It was the kind of secret she didn't mind keeping to herself.
It seemed like Soul Society had had their fair share of mishaps in the past... But if it changed their views for the better then at least that could be considered a good thing. "Do you think Kenji would accept my potential?" It was a silly question really... if Kenji couldn't accept how strong she was after she'd sent him flying through several walls then he was as dense as he'd seemed during their fight... "I really did overdo it didn't I... Thinking about it now, if I'd been the one in his position a year ago... If I'd been the one to take the blow I'd given him, there's no way I would have survived going through so many walls like that..." Shiro shuddered. She really hoped he was okay and she hadn't inadvertently killed him...
Hah! Repentance Cell... And she was sitting on top of it now after what she'd done.
Shiro lay back on the roof and looked up into the sky. It was a very nice view. Far better than any she'd gotten while down on the ground hopping between walls, paths, and junctions. "You could practice. My teachers in school always told me that practice makes perfect. Besides you don't really age like I do so I'm sure you'd have plenty of time to learn right?" Shiro looked back to Mitsuoki before sighing. "Say... Mitsuoki...? What do I do now?" It should have been obvious but she was referring to the fact that the Seireitei currently had a capture or eliminate order out on her right now. She didn't really want to be eliminated so should she just go ahead and let them detain her? But then how long would that last exactly? And how, if they were going to, would they punish her...?
Shiro's question about whether a human could partake in the soul reaper's academy went unanswered since that was not his place to speak on. He was not the head captain, nor was he in high enough of a position to have any kind of sway with the academy's director(s). When she had asked about the human's name, the one who obliterated and scared the execution grounds, Mitsuoki had said "I do not remember. It was not my business to care for his name when I read the reports. I will say, however, that this human would have been stopped much sooner had the captains of the time not been arrogant when confronting him." Some time later in the bird's eye view tour, Shiro had asked if Kenji would ever accept her potential. Mitsuoki's answer was that he could not speak for other soul reapers. He was a very different person from them. Shiro had also commented with a bit of regret about how hard she hit him. Mitsuoki had said "Kenji is not dead, yet. Squad four will take care of him and he will go on to fight another day."
At the end of her tour, Shiro's comment about him practicing went unresponded to in favor of her question about what to do now. Mitsuoki had told her that if she turned herself in, she would be treated as an enemy since she resisted arrest. It was a very lopsided form of thinking and one of the many ideals that Mitsuoki disliked. Mitsuoki would turn and look over the horizon. "Shiro." he would say, trying to get her attention. "I would like you to promise me something." he would then say, and pause for her reaction. "I know that you wish to get stronger, but I do not know why, and I do not think that it is my place to ask." he would then turn and place a hand on Shiro's waist, pulling her in just a little bit. "I would like you to promise me that on your quest for power, you will not become like the captain whose power made him turn on those who cared for him the most. Do not make me add another pillar to the thirteen I already have." It was an obvious reference to Haruka's monument, where thirteen pillars stood in representation of those who had fallen. It was his way of saying that she held some form of significance in his life.

Mitsuoki avoided answering certain questions it seemed. Either that or he didn't actually know the answers to her questions and that was why he chose to remain silent. "Seems kind of funny. Usually I would think that if someone did a thing that significant then even the reports would want to mention the person's name too and not just what happened..." Then again this was Soul Society. The way news traveled was probably different. Actually she had been wondering how news of her entry into the Seireitei had even spread. The only thing odd leading up to it had been the weird black butterflies floating all over the place prior to her actually becoming caught up in a conflict she didn't even want. They probably had communicators. Shiro remembered Mitsuoki had had something similar to an old style phone he could use to make calls with. They'd probably gotten word around using those devices...
"Squad four?" Shiro turned her eyes from the sky, over to Mitsuoki. That's right the place was divided into thirteen, probably for a reason. All she could really figure is it was probably a way of assigning responsibilities. Did that mean Squad Four was the section of Seireitei that responded with medical aid then? Well either way if Kenji was going to be alright then she at least was happy for him. She'd struck him far harder than his three subordinates, if only because she believed he could handle it...
So resolving the dispute wasn't an option then... That was somewhat disheartening... Shiro sighed and returned her gaze to the sky. Lifting her right hand she pointed into the air above her and performed a small test. There did seem to be something of a resistance against her action but... It seemed that with enough of her energy applied she could still make a dimensional gateway here... Shiro stared at the Thumb sized practice hole she'd created through which she could see the door to her old house. bringing her right hand down over her stomach, Shiro let the micro gate close.
"Hm...?" Shiro responded to her name, sitting up to give Mitsuoki her attention. A promise? Standing up Shiro responded. "Promise you something...? Promise what?" curiosity played in her voice as she questioned his request. Oh... So that was it... he was worried for her. Actually wasn't that a good thing? Shiro couldn't help her face from becoming somewhat red at the mention of his pillars. It was a saddening thought, but strangely reassuring that he'd just admitted her to being someone special enough to him to warrant a place among his memorial, should worse come to pass... Though her complexion was certainly becoming a deeper shade of red when coupled with his physical embrace and their closing proximity. "Power corrupts... I know that..." Shiro averted her eyes, if only for the fact she was too embarrassed right now to look him directly in the eyes. "I... There were people I couldn't protect before because I was too weak... I just want to get stronger so that if I'm ever needed then I can have the strength to protect those I care about."
Mother, Father, Sayuri... All people Shiro hadn't been able to protect. And while she hadn't given up hope on Sayuri still being alive... the signs had all heavily suggested towards the contrary. "I just want to be strong enough so I can protect the people I care about." Shiro's vision became blurry. Great... she was becoming emotional... But it was too late now, the tears were already beginning to flow. Truly embarrassing...
"I just want to be strong enough so I can protect the people I care about." ... It was a strange concept to Mitsuoki, who had been training simply because it gave him something to do. He wanted to be able to fight on par with Haruka, which he had accomplished long before he acquired his bankai. After that, he did not want to get stronger, but found himself with far too much time on his hands. In those moments, he thought about how he had failed to protect the only person he cared about, and the only closes thing to friends he had. He was not so close to anyone that he needed to protect them. Akane was somewhat of a little sister to him, and was more than protected amidst the various members of the Gotei. She had over three thousand swords guarding her from every angle, and Mitsuoki constantly at her side. Shiro was the only one who he cared about other than Akane, but she was as strong as Mitsuoki, and did not require protection. There was no logical reason for him to apply the same logic.
Mitsuoki had remembered a report coming in that there was a large explosion of energy in the Rukon districts, but by the time someone had gone to investigate, the source had already vanished. It would make sense... Shiro was presently in the soul society, and she had clearly gotten much stronger. It stood to reason that she was possible training far from the seireitei to avoid drawing too much attention. "Just promise me that you won't lose yourself in the process." he said in an accepting tone of voice. He couldn't stop her from trying to get stronger, but he could at least ask that she stops herself before she adopts an 'anything to get there' mentality. It was something he had seen far too many times.
If Shiro had agreed, Mitsuoki would let out a small sigh. "Since you wish to get stronger, you will need a place to train that cannot be easily found." he said before standing up once more and walking to Shiro's front and extending his hand to help her up. Once they were standing, Mitsuoki would say "Activate Gatestone, Monument." and send the two of them to Haruka's Pillar. He would then place his hand on the pillar and cause the monument to open up, as well as for the stairwell under it to form. "I rebuilt this monument to keep this a secret. Though, I later found out that it wasn't a particularly well hidden one." he would say before gesturing to the gaping hole around them. Mitsuoki would lead Shiro down while saying "I was unhappy to find that someone had come down here, before; but, I was not too terribly angered since that someone was you. I spent the better half of a week reworking the seals and locks just to make sure no one else would get in."
At the bottom, he would place his hand on the side of the wall, next to the black liquid door and cause the liquid to vanish to reveal a large room with a level floor. "This is my training grounds. The one I had in hueco mundo was not a viable option, so I made this one. What do you think?"

"I promise I won't lose myself. My Purpose in choosing the path to power has always held a reason behind it. Though... I guess it is kind of hard to protect those who are already gone... It, does feel kind of empty when I think about it that way though..." Shiro lifted her eyes to see Mitsuoki's. Though she was still deeply embarrassed by her own emotional state she attempted a reassuring smile. If it helped to reassure Mitsuoki of her promise to him she couldn't be certain, but at least it made her feel better knowing he was here for her right now, if not always.
The next moment saw Shiro taking Mitsuoki's hand and being transported. To Haruka's Pillar, the monument Mitsuoki had constructed, and the one she'd somehow managed to access the secret area of... He started explaining what he'd done with the monument and his reason for rebuilding it. Shiro's face shown with embarrassment. Had it been because of her that he'd needed to rebuild it?
The overflow of embarrassment was unavoidable. Her face was full of the telltale signs and she did her best not to give Mitsuoki any eye contact while they descended the stairs. She mainly avoided eye contact because Shiro wasn't sure she could maintain her balance if her eyes met his. If he hadn't programmed it to respond to her then... then that meant that somewhere, maybe within the monument itself, Haruka still existed, listened, and... interacted perhaps? Shiro willed it to not be true but at this point there could be no way to know for sure whether or not her earlier confessions to the stone had been heard or not. The only consolation she could gleam from all of this was that it hadn't been Mitsuoki she'd spoken too at the time.
"It's... huge...!" Shiro entered the training area, taking a couple of Spark Steps in. She noted that the strange door was probably so vastly different from the rest of what Mitsuoki had created down here because it likely served a security purpose against intruders or something... "Say, Mitsuoki...? This might sound strange of me to ask but... is it possible for a human to ascend into a spiritual state without... dying?" Whether Mitsuoki knew anything about it or not Shiro couldn't shake the strange feeling she'd had back at the forest when her normally bluish-white energy had turned a bright gold in color... It'd been short, and had lasted only for an instant, but it hadn't felt foreign to her.... "You know... never mind, it was probably nothing..." She commented while returning to where Mitsuoki stood near the entrance. "Hey since we're here now, do you want to test it out? I've been developing my own defensive technique but it'd be really helpful if I had a partner to help me test it out with." Shiro's features brightened, her earlier embarrassment now lost. Training seemed to be her salvation from her more... Embarrassing thoughts and emotions...
Shiro had asked if it was possible for humans to become spiritual beings without dying, to which he was about to tell her about the various types of existing ones, but was quickly told to disregard the query. Then, she had asked if they could do some training right then and there. As she asked that question, Shiro would hear a deep, low groan behind her. When she turned around, a nine foot tall hulking behemoth of a construct would be standing there, looking down on her with no true face, just a series of yellow dots in the middle of its body. Smoke coming off of it from the reishi it was dissipating, the creature would lift a hand and poke Shiro in the stomach. After that, his hand would turn to mist and reform around her while lifting Shiro off the ground and bringing her closer to the yellow dots. He would let out a loud groan and the dots would turn greet, after which, Mitsuoki would say "This is Gol. He likes you." If Shiro had asked for him to put her down, Mitsuoki would turn to Gol and nod, which would result in the golem gently setting Shiro down.
Mitsuoki would then explain, saying "I made Gol to help me build this place. His mind is more or less like a computer. He can process countless amounts of data and use that to reform the training room to almost any terrain needed, the limitations being snowy and underwater environments. He can't talk, but he does seem to have enough self actualization to like, dislike, and hate things. You wanted to train, so try it for yourself. Just tell Gol what kind of environment you want to use." Once Shiro had stated the environment type, Gol would press his hands to the ground and the world around them would begin changing to create a near perfect replicate.

She'd heard it before actually seeing it. Figures Mitsuoki would rather show a response than voice one. Shiro turned around to behold what looked to her like some sort of golem straight out of a mythical universe standing before her. She was on edge at the first poke but relaxed when she realized it wasn't trying to harm her in any way. "Ah...?" Shiro uttered a word of surprise when the construct reformed around her and lifted her to what she could only guess were its eyes. "H-hello Gol." Shiro greeted the giant with a smile, though she wasn't completely sure how to respond to being picked up by it.
A computer? Did Mitsuoki even know what a computer was Shiro thought. She hadn't seen any real indication of technology in Soul Society so far but she chose to take his word for it. If Gol was a computer then that would just have to be the case.
A place to train and Gol would make it for her? "Well since it's defensive training of a technique I don't really need obstacles or anything so... how about a desert plateau then?" Shiro made the request of Gol, who then set about transforming the entire area into the desired environment. Wholy... what!? Wow...!" Entire landscapes changing before her eyes had only ever been a visualization made possible through certain movies she'd seen. All of that had been CG with none of it actually being real. This... What Gol did here in Mitsuoki's private training grounds was something she would have considered to be completely impossible six months ago... "This is... amazing!" Shiro shouted once Gol had finalized his transformation of the arena, taking a couple of Spark Steps into the field to inspect its authenticity. It looked and even felt like the real thing. Truly amazing! She'd have to study up on this technique... It had to be some sort of technique right? To create all of this and so quickly too!
Once she was done admiring Gol's work Shiro returned to Mitsuoki. "It's not exactly the same as what you were working on when we trained before but the defensive technique I've been developing focuses on blocking and deflecting attacks. So... I'll need some good attacks to test out the limits and work out some kinks... If you don't mind of course." Shiro smiled at Mitsuoki as she made the request. This sure would beat getting herself in trouble with the Seireitei...
