Las Noches... one of the few places within Hueco Mundo the Hollow still made to avoid. Arrancar were strong, and the fortress reeked of their presence... While such creatures seemed to tolerate one another and even worked together as he'd once been keen to notice, they rarely shared the same pleasantries when it came to their lesser Hollow brethren. Recently he'd detected an especially strong presence coming from the fortress on occasion. It seemed to him that a powerful Arrancar had recently taken up residence here... Nadezhda cared little for what purposes this place served for the Arrancar. The issue at hand would not likely be an problem for him. Rather a different, rather peculiar problem had arisen. On one visit to observe this fortress he'd felt the Arrancar's presence. But within that presence he'd felt another. One that, by all historical recollections, should not have been possible to feel within Hueco Mundo.
Nadezhda slowly crossed the dunes overlooking the fortress grounds. He did not feel the Arrancar's presence. "How foolish... to leave such a creature alone unguarded..." The old hollow muttered to himself. But the Hollow noted the difference in this individual's spiritual pressure. Could it be possible for such a thing to have grown stronger than himself in such a short period of time? The first time he'd noticed it the presence had felt weak, it's only saving grace being the Arrancar who stood at its side. But now... Nadezhda slightly dreaded going down there. It was strong... Strong enough maybe to even beat him... But not strong enough to survive here alone... Not with the state his master was currently in...
Peeking over the final dune, Nadezhda stopped, gazed down to the Human below. She seemed to be training herself, if it could be called that... He watched for a moment as the girl would shoot out energy in the form of blue balls, vanish, reappear in front of her released attack and slash it with a similarly colored sword. Strangely this energy took on a form reminiscent of the Cero Hollow typically used... To think that a Human would mimic Hollows... Nadezhda didn't watch long. He had a goal in coming here and it didn't involve watching the girl train...
Avoiding the girl's line of sight, Nadezhda cautiously descended the dune. The old hollow couldn't feel the Arrancar's presence but If the Arrancar were still around Nadezhda sure as hell wouldn't want to alert him. The girl paused in her training, Nadezhda paused. She'd noticed him. The two watched each other for a moment. Nadezhda, uncertain what this girl's move would be. He'd never encountered a Human on the Hueco Mundo side before but... He was close enough. He couldn't be certain how she would react but if he could get her to pursue him away from the confines of this fortress he could properly do what needed to be done without the potential for interference from the Arrancar. Nadezhda wasn't completely convinced he was out and about and not somewhere nearby.
It was foolish, and he'd likely be dead for trying if the Arrancar was here... Nadezhda opened his mouth as Reiatsu gathered. There was little delay, practically none actually as the old Hollow launched a small volley of three Bala straight at the girl.

Training... that's exactly what she was doing. It was a combination of speed and defensive training. She'd fire off an attack and then Spark Step in front of it to block the attack, cutting it with her sword. What purpose did this serve? By varying the speeds of her attacks, it allowed her to increase the accuracy of her steps. By cutting the attacks she could hone the edge on her offensive energies.
She'd sensed its presence before she'd seen it. Looking up she noticed a large black wolf standing on the dunes, not more than one hundred meters away. Upon looking closer she noticed the mask. "A Hollow? What's it doing here?" She hadn't seen any hollow near the fortress. Not even one. For being the land of hollows the area around the fortress seemed to be rather devoid of their kind. The place normally met with visiting Arrancar and even those were rare sometimes. It stared back at her. Shiro got the sudden feeling the creature wasn't here just to look and her thoughtful concerns were confirmed when the beast opened its mouth and released three speeding Bala right at her. Timing her Spark Step, Shiro stepped behind the Bala as they approached, bypassing them completely. With her next step Shiro released, stepping further this time. She stopped. The Hollow had moved but not more than she had... It then launched another Bala but she made no move to avoid it. The attack fell harmlessly three meters in front of her. Was it taunting her? Another Bala shot off, this one aimed at her. Readying her sword she swung, cutting the attack in half and causing them to explode in passing. The hollow had moved a little further away. With how easily Mr. Rose had kept up with a constant barrage of these kinds of attacks it didn't seem right that this hollow appeared to be hesitating each time it attacked her... So instead she decided to share with it some of her own power.
Holding her hands in front of herself Shiro charged Reiatsu into an electric blueish white ball before launching it at the Hollow at Bala speed.
As Expected he'd managed to goad the girl into pursuing... to some degree at least. The majority of the time, attacking someone of the human races prompted one of two responses. They either fled in fear, or they would swiftly attack and try to suppress the hollow that'd attacked them. He couldn't help but commend the girl for her hesitation in pursuing him. Did she perhaps think he were attempting to lure her into a trap? Nadezhda launched a second Bala, not aimed at the girl but in front of her. When all it proved to do was cause the girl to continue watching him, the old hollow shot off another Bala. This one aimed at the girl herself. Perhaps he could gain the same results as his first volley had if he continued the attacks aimed at her instead of shooting and intentionally missing his target.
Much to the Hollow's dismay, his second aimed shot proved to have different results than the first... Instead of dodging the attack and continuing to pursue him, the girl swung her sword, now bathed in blue energy. The attack cut Nadezhda's Bala in half, much to his surprise. "Keh, Figures... humans don't seem to share the same killing intent as the others..." He was both disappointed and relieved at this fact. If she harbored no ill will towards him then perhaps getting his warning across to her would not be an impossibility. So long as the monstrous Arrancar wasn't around to intervene... His thoughts were cut short when he noticed the girl taking a standing stance with a ball of blueish white energy focused between her hands.
This girl could use spells!? Nadezhda made to dodge the girl's incoming attack. He'd been shooting Bala at her and while he was surprised to notice the energy she fired off moved just as fast as his bala, the real problem came in the form of the feeling he got which suggested this one shot was easily four times as strong!
Nadezhda barely managed to avoid the ball of energy as it passed mere inches away from striking him. To think that so much power could actually come from a human!? This method of luring the human girl away from Las Noches was not going to work... Not if she was going to keep firing ranged attacks at him whenever he distanced himself... The old Hollow would need to come up with a different plan of approach if he was going to properly warn her and fast.

Shiro didn't give the hollow any time to react. As soon as she released the energy towards the offending hollow she moved into a Spark Step. While it was distracted by her attack, Shiro aimed to cut off its retreat. A seemingly confused Hollow made to avoid the girl's energy attack and while he succeeded in avoiding the brunt of its damage, he simultaneously lost sight of Shiro.
She'd only killed once before, and even then it had only been due to the fact that there'd been no other alternative. Ironically it too had been a hollow, perhaps the willingness to end its life had been because the thing had killed her parents. Even the first hollow she'd fought hadn't actually been killed by her... But her knowledge of these spirits and how they acted was something she could not deny at this point. They attacked because they wanted to kill. To eat and consume the spirit of their prey. She had doubts about this one's intents due to it's unusual lack of outright aggression but regardless of what those might be, it didn't change the fact that it'd attacked her first.
She'd moved enough to gain an advantage over the Hollow's position and with it she made her move. Her sword swung down, splitting the air as its path threatened to crashed down upon the hollow and sever its head from the body it was attached to.
The attack went off and the girl disappeared... But how? And where had she gone? His question was answered not more than a second later when he heard the distinctive crack of static and felt the presence of the girl's spiritual pressure bearing down on him from above. Nadezhda looked up in surprised realization that what he'd seen just a moment ago in the girl's movements had been something akin to flash steps. But how did a human know how to do something like that? He could have sworn the only ones capable of something like that were Shinigami, Arrancar, or really powerful hollow...
Forget whatever reasons this human had for being able to perform steps. Something deep inside told him he would regret it dearly if he didn't do his best to avoid her incoming attack. Forget blocking the girl's attack. The spiritual pressure he sensed built up in the girl's weapon as she descended upon him was massive! He was glad she'd aimed for his head. Relieved even more that she'd chosen, for some reason to descend from above where a footing or change of direction would be something difficult to perform. Using all four legs, Nadezhda pushed off backwards, away from the girl's flow of attack. He would escape safely... or so he thought. Even as the old hollow moved to avoid, this girl's attack systematically adjusted. No! This was bad! The girl clearly didn't lack battle experience. He wouldn't be able to dodge with the way she was adjusting her attack mid descent! "Wait!!!" Nadezhda's voice cried out. This whole plan had backfired dreadfully. There would be nothing he could do to help his master if he died here right now!
Shiro's sword slammed into the ground even as the girl adjusted her aim to ensure a certain hit. What stopped her immediate intent to kill this beast before her? The raw and simple fact that it'd actually spoken to her. Surely a hollow intent to attack and eat her would have thrown a verbal taunt if it felt itself confident enough. It wasn't unlikely for Hollows to be able to speak. Half the ones she'd encountered had been able to do so, although the number of these things she'd actually seen up close was only just now bumped up to three...
The force of Shiro's attack sent a wave of pressurized Reiatsu directly into the ground, carving a five foot wide hole fifteen feet deep and nearly thirty feet long. The force of the attack sent up an enormous wave of sand and dust. Shiro stood still, waiting for the dust to clear. She could sense the beast's presence but it didn't appear to be retreating, nor was it advancing to attack her again... Why?
When the dust finally cleared and Shiro could visually see the wolf-like hollow again, she whipped her sword out in one hand, aiming it in the direction of the Hollow. "By now it should be obvious that you can't beat me. So why are you still here, Hollow." Depending on the beast's answer, the girl was prepared to spare it no mercy.
The old hollow was shaken. The devastating attack had been avoided... somehow. He hadn't succeeded in luring her away as planned but for the moment it seemed he at least had her attention. "I must apologize for my rudeness... Had I'd known you would become as powerful you are now so quickly I would have considered a more appropriate means of approach..." Nadezhda was beginning to wonder if any part of this optional endeavor he'd engaged in had even been necessary. Worse, to think if the Arrancar which resided here noticed him he likely would have already been dead without so much as a sliver of a chance to explain himself... Judging by the fact he hadn't already made an appearance, it was probably safe to assume he wasn't here at the moment. Nadezhda was very relieved if this fact were indeed true. Judging by this human's strength, contending with her master would be one of the last things he would want to do.
Straightening his stance to assume a less defensive posture, Nadezhda raised his head. "I've come to issue you a warning of caution, child... The lands of Hueco Mundo are not a safe place for humans, especially now that my master has deemed all such life to be a threat towards her existence. I advise you leave this place lest you become a target of her misguided wrath. And if this bears any consolation to you, I smell on you, the aura of a Shinigami I met earlier in the human world. One named Kugami, Mitsuoki."
With the hollow showing no intent to attack her anymore, Shiro lowered her sword and let out a long heavy sigh. She already knew the fact that Hueco Mundo wasn't a safe place but in all honesty Las Noches seemed to be one of the safest places she could be at right now, even without this Hollow's warning to her that it was unsafe... With her sword lowered to her side Shiro stared at the hollow with disinterested amusement in her eyes. "Are you an idiot or something? Why would you risk your life coming all the way here just to tell me something like that?" Shiro's bluntness caused the Hollow to start. "For what it's worth, I appreciate the warning but you really shouldn't stick around here if you value your own life at all. I'm pretty sure Theocelese hates hollows and would kill them all if he could. If he knew you were here he'd probably have killed you already..." Just because her teacher was a mass murderer, didn't mean she needed to start becoming one as well. As long as this hollow didn't threaten her or other human lives she didn't see any reason to end its life. Judging from the fact it thought enough to warn her, a Human, about another hollow, the least she could figure was it didn't actively seek out Humans to eat for itself...
... With the girl confirming what he already knew to be true, Nadezhda was starting to think his precarious visit here had in fact been an utterly pointless endeavor. He had nothing to measure it with, but from what he understood, this Theocelese character was likely the same Arrancar that all hollows in the area feared. It eluded Nadezhda's understanding, why an Arrancar would take a human child under his wing but if his hatred for Hollows was as great as he'd heard...
While he didn't appreciate being called stupid, this was one of very few times in his life where he really couldn't argue with the accusation... "I... will take my leave. If you feel it is your master whom will protect you then so be it. I shall not argue with that logic, but be cautious human. He may seem gentle to you now but know this; As he is an Arrancar, what remains of his heart will be forever tainted by the blood and souls of those he has consumed." Nadezhda retreated a few steps backwards, watching Shiro to make certain she wouldn't launch any form of attack before he made to actually leave. When he deemed himself to be in the clear, the old hollow dashed off into the sandy dunes and out of sight.
"Isn't that the same for you too though..." Shiro muttered as she watched the hollow disappear, letting the Hollow go. With the hollow now gone, Shiro allowed her energies to dissipate. Whatever interest she had in training herself had fizzled out in light of the random Hollow's appearance before her. "Didn't think hollows had the boldness to come right up to this place like that..." Shiro turned to look up at Las Noches. It was indeed a fortress, and a damned big one at that. Either way the encounter just now had been bizarre... A hollow so strong that another hollow felt the need to warn a human about it? Just what was that anyway? Weren't they all out to eat humans and consume their souls? The lizard popped up in the girl's mind. "Oh right... there was Iiname too. To think I actually forgot he was a hollow..." So that actually made four hollows She'd seen. And with this experience that effectively made half the hollows she'd come across something she could only attest to as being friendly... "Ugh... this is so weird..." Shiro complained, rubbing her free hand through her hair while shouldering her sword with the other. "I might have to ask Mr. Rose if he knows any other friendly Hollows besides Iiname..." She thought out loud even as she made to return to the confines of Las Noches.
