The way of life is as always, an amusing speculation. One could enjoy various things in life, if life allowed, but usually it does not. That is how things usually go for those who stick to the mundane in their thoughts and their actions. They find life to be droll, boring and over all lacking. This is how is considered as she refuses to acknowledge anything that is not in front of her eyes, and that only she sees and no one else does. She would probably be a horrible detective because of that. Luckily, that was not what brought her here to the park. This was a day to relax and rest. So that was what she had intended.
The feeling of the sun on her skin, and the light breeze was enjoyable enough, but she could not help but feel she might be sick in her head. That or had been at her father's too long. She could not decide that, but she felt that she was hallucinating, and when ever she shook her head or wiped her eyes, the imagery would disappear and she would face reality again. She had finished up her homework, and she had finished her chores today, so did not really want to think about her older sister and her father's antics and delusions. She was the epitome of normal, and she would maintain that, even if she thought that her family had history on both side of mental illness. This would just have to be accepted by her, and hopefully when she was more able to take care of herself, she could seek counseling and other things to keep her mind in order.
The Diligent girl in question, middle of the road in all aspects of normal life. This is Hitsugi Erisu, age fifteen.
She was currently looking off into space, and sitting at the edge of the park, under a tree. She did not know if she was sick or not, but she was getting sick of the feeling that she was hallucinating, or maybe her father and sister were getting to her. That being said, she would just reinforce it by saying that she was okay, and that she did not seem to have a fever or anything. There was no evidence of anything that she saw being real, especially since what she saw was inconsistent. It was not like she was really seeing it anyways. She pushed it to the side, and just looked on to people playing or hanging around, the flowers and trees. The birds occasionally flying by, or the furry rodents gathering things. She needed to focus on the average and normal. She had been feeling this way all day. This is why she hated days when she was not going to school, it just got in the way of her normality by allowing her family more time to infect her mind. She would shake that off again. No, she came here to get away from that, and to try to recover herself, it did not do any good if she just thought about that stuff more.
She looked out at the various people, wondering if anyone she had seen at school, or anyone that seemed interestingly normal were around. She just had to figure out if she wanted to break her usual routines or maybe improve upon them in order to facilitate a return to normalcy. She would sigh at this. What was a girl like her to do?

Simple days continued without end, overwhelming dulling senses. To provide for oneself meant waking up and completing the task given by another. The task giver compensated with capital. If one wasn’t wasting away at the grindstone then they were assimilating repetitive information at school. In the end, Humans lost nearly all individual value. People bored her, stupidity irritated her. If you weren’t productive to society you were useless. So, people were boring and life was simple.
She could count how many she truly called friend on one hand, even less in an foreign country. While her nobility often made her distant, seeing herself being better than common fodder, she remained observant of her own flaws. Today’s weather felt pleasant, and passing cool air so she’d stay comfortable. Skin wouldn’t dry nor burn, and she could freely enjoy exploring the town. Her arrire simple yet lavish.
She groaned While looking down at her phone. Figuring out where she was and this Newtown wasn’t easy. Scratching and pulling on her hair she flopped her ass into a bench nearby a Oddly dressed gothic girl. Kanji, why so hard to read? This town, why did Charlotte, her maid, input the wrong directions in the phone?

Spotting a foreigner was easy enough. Generally, like all people their appearance would place them some how out of place. Even with her own European ancestry, she would stand out a little, but not as much as the lady who sat near her on a bench. The lady seemed like she was agitated. She could be lost, but was it Erisu's place to offer assistance? She did not know. It was a chance to get distracted from her own problems though, and to possibly have a conversation with a stranger. That is not a bad idea per se, just not one that could be considered average for Erisu. She did not like the thought of imposing on people. She rather preferred to let other people do as they please, and avoid getting in the way of their lives, but it was not in Erisu's nature to not help people who were in need, if it meant that she could possibly feel like more than a person in the background. Unknowingly, that was what she was right now, as the camera angle was showing her from the perspective of the foreign girl's direction. The camera was likely focused on the girl sitting at the bench.
Erisu was a background character according to most logic. Be it Novels, Movies, Magazines, Manga, Comics, Anime, or Television Drama. Even Youtube Videos.
She would slowly get up, dusting off her skirt and fixing the wrinkles. It was the best idea she had to get started. "Hello, are you lost?" she would ask, just looking over the girl from a closer distance, not wanting to intrude upon her. She tried her best to look friendly, putting on a soft smile, and having her eyes soften as well. She wanted to help if she could. She could be wrong though, and so she was being cautious. There was no way to know if ones observations were correct right off the bat, and she was known for not knowing deep intricate things like what people were thinking. She only had average in all areas of life, including the ability to tell what is going on with others. She would hold her hands behind her back, letting the top she wore for today be a able to be observed cleanly. Her bow standing out behind her hair.
She could not help but worry that there might be something more going on though, and did not want to intrude. Before the girl could say anything, she would offer, "I am sorry if I am wrong, but you look like something is going on, so I hope I am not intruding." She had hope, but she was not the more obvious when it came to others. She could only apply what she knew. She ignored the feeling that she thought she saw something more to the lady, there was no way that she had some odd energy about her or anything, it was probably her imagination, or maybe a fever acting up.

A servant's job employed more than planning and record keeping. Both friend and personal assistant to Rayla, secret information was shared between them. From cooking cleaning and preparing her schedule, Rayla relied on Elizabeth. For without Elizabeth she wouldn’t be alive today. That idiot sent me to the wrong side of town. But she also fudged up a lot. Had Rayla not been intently focused on her phone then she might enjoy the cool breeze, the warm bench on her bare skin. Karakura was but just another small town like others she’d been too. Anyone’s small, simple, life would be uprooted should they venture into a large city. A distinct lack of carbon monoxide did well for Rayla, however, had she not taken allergy medicine she wouldn’t been further bothered by the air.
Emotion displayed easily on Rayla’s face, brows twitching and hand shaking from clutching her phone tightly. Light colored skin turned white from applied pressure. One job Liz, you had one job. Finding a specific cafe shouldn’t be that difficult but an irritable Rayla would punish her assistant later. Today’s task would be completed without Elizabeth’s help. An elongated sigh benchmarked deep irritation being released; Closed eyes partly opening glaring off at nothing in particular. The drudge expression turned droopy, Rayla sliding one hand through her hair while placing her phone into shorts pocket with the other.
Tired and groggy, eyes found something puffed out in confidence ripe with the age of youth. Though her mood had been downtrodden she couldn’t deny her wry smile at the blooming mounds before her. ”How thoughtful-“ Her Japanese was fluent, voice like a distant echo from a far away land of faeries; Silver and honey. Her gaze meet with the stranger’s. ”-the Fates brought me a darling.” She chuckles once. ”Yeah, I’m lost. Cafe, don’t know the name, but turns out the one I need to go to isn’t the one around this part of town.

The reaction would be priceless, but it was to be expected from such a side character, who had taken a pose of taking a step back and covering her face from the unexpected flattery. The expectation of having such a feeling of being told such things was rare. She took a few moments to compose herself. She did not know where to start when it came to this lady, so decided that composing herself was the best bet. "I was not expecting someone to say that to someone like me," She would start, the blood still mostly in her cheeks, but she would stand up straight to try to handle it. "I do not get called a Darling all that often." she would add. Compliments were probably not much for some, but for Erisu, they were a rare luxury, so rare that they were like fine dining for those who were known to starve. She was so middle of the road that any sort of tease, or flirt or positive attention that would normally make ones head swell was taken as a shock you see.
The smile the blond had on made it even worse though. The lady was down right radiant. Erisu could not help but think the lady was an angel or something, but would not admit that out loud. This was to be expected from the girl whose entire existence was just barely average. Even seemingly lower when compared to this lovely sample of humanity or quasi humanity. Divinity Humanity? That could be. She would continue to debate such things with herself as she would study the lady for a few moments more before taking in the rest of what she had said. A cafe? There were several, but she could not guide her with out knowing the name or something about it. If it was a lady like this, she was probably looking for something out of the way, but also of high class taste. Those were thoughts that past through her mind as well.
She would strain her mind, but she only really went to the one around here when she wanted to hang out at a Cafe. She forgot her beret, so she was not thinking of going there... Wait... She did not have a Beret... so why did that come to her mind...
"I am not very familiar with the cafe scene here, I would assume that you are looking for one on the other side of town, but as you know this, there is one nearby if you do not mind, it is not far from this park." She was offering this as a compromise, but was not expecting it to be taken, so added "But if you wish, you could just compete with the sun for who is the brightest light in the park." she mostly whispered that last part as she could not help but wonder if it was her hallucinations, or if this lady was just that radiant looking. She was still not mentally to the point of thinking about love, and had not even decided if she was one for such things. She did not even understand that the statement could be taken as flirting either. If she did, she would not have allowed herself to say it. "Hitsugi, Erisu." she would offer her name up. She did not know if she was being helpful, or just awkward. She would not really understand till later when it was either teased about, or explained to her.
She cursed herself for not having many friends, if any at all... Blast her family and their weirdness. It had rubbed off on her in a way that did not give her much chance to recover from, and now it was making her feel lost in her own attempt to be polite and helpful.

An angel outside heaven surrounded by an uplifting presence caused another’s blood to rise from only one complement. The distance between far like a heavenly and demonic realm, yet so too did devils have beauty. One as a shining star no mortal could reach, for if she or he did either blessings or curses awaited. Elegant bearing and judgemental affection. The other a quiet, dreamlike, night whose existence was uncertain. Should one meet her it would be on a snowy day when everyone was asleep. Uncertain yet pressing onward, Erisu commented about the cafe scene, bringing a hefty headlowering sigh. Just because someone lived somewhere didn’t mean they knew everything about a town. Rayla couldn’t tell someone the tourist attractions back in Berlin, barring the wall. Her head arose, back resting fully against the bench and one arm folding over the back. ”That’s fine.” She responded.
Her comment wasn’t directed at being shown other cafes, but that she couldn’t help Rayla find her destination. Though eyes widened and lips straightened upon hearing a promising event. Had Rayla been playing one of her Visual Novels this would be an Event Flag, granting her a chance to take someone out. She blinked once, then twice. Cheeks peeled back and smirked with confidence. ”It isn’t a competition.” It wasn’t spoken with arrogance or pride, just something casual she said as if it was truth; As though she were greater than the sun. ”Lichtstein, Rayla. Show me this cafe, I’ll treat us both.” She stood up and took a step forwards into Erisu’s personal space.
Chests close enough to touch, hands slipped onto and across Erisu’s cheeks. She’d lean forwards and press her forehead against Erisu. Joyful eyes tensed upon noting a faint feeling of electricity mixed with soil and morning dew. So there was something special about her, even if it was just faint.

”I don’t have time for this!” Cried from the mouth of a young man as he stepped off to the side of a large fist that made contact with the ground next to him. In his right hand was a large white and blue construct greatly resembling a yumi bow. His fingers gripped tightly around it’s base before pulling on the manifesting string before firing a quick volley of arrow into the black creature’s arm. The creature screamed in pain as it’s arm was quick removed by the arrow. The fingers of his left hand soon twitched as a ginto tube fell from their lodgings in his sleeve. His hand quickly tossed it at the hollow that was still recovering from the lack of a limb.
The tube made contact with the hollow just after Orochi’s lips slipped open. “Draw the opponent into my visor – Markier!” Slipped free. The tube shattered upon the hollow’s skull like mask. There was a slight hiss from the liquid burning into the mask. His attitude shifted for a moment as his bow arm lifted once more. He gripped the reishi thread before pulling back. As if a small vortex was forming, a ball of compressed Reishi manifested at the front of the bow before he released.
There was a pause as beast looked at Orochi. Then the man grinned. He released the arrow near point blank in the beast’s face. It passed cleanly through the material before it quickly began to fade away. He was somewhat uplifted to have it out of the way. He’d been tracking this one hollow for a few nights now, and it was evading him. ”Succes-” His celebration was cut short as his phone’s alarm rung, and he swallowed hard. ”NO! I’M LATE!”[/b] He yelled above the trees as he suddenly made a B-line to a certain cafe not to far from the park.
He would be making the B-line anyways if something hadn’t caught his attention. At first it was like a blur, but he saw two girls really close together. He was going to save the knowledge till something clicked. ’Dual colored hair, gothic lolita style. Clueless. Erisu’[/i] These thoughts passed through his mind as he dispelled his bow, returning it to the cross form on his wrist. That was the last thing he’d want to explain again.
He slipped around them, trying to make sure he wasn’t seen before approaching them. His hood was up on his jacket, and the extra bits of clothe were wrapped around his throat similar to a scarf. “Erisu~ I didn’t know you had a girlfriend. Didn’t figure you to lik blondes, but it must run in the blood.”
Post by Hitsugi, Erisu on Sept 11, 2018 22:49:00 GMT
She played the name through her head a few times. Her name sounded German, so that rather caught her off guard as she thought of her father's side of the family. "Sure, I do not mind going to a cafe for a change of scenery." she would suggest, not at all aware of how she might be seen in this moment. That was not different from anything she has done so far though. She also did not know if Rayla had just stated that the sun would pretty much lose to her own radiance.
She started to try to figure out the swiftest way to get from here to the cafe when a voice from behind her brought dread. She would turn around at that moment, and stare at the taller form of her oldest sibling. She sometimes hated being the baby in the family. "What do you mean?" she would ask in confusion as to what he was alluding to. "What do you mean a love for blondes runs in the blood..." she took a few moments, and then blushed as the entirety of it kind of jumped at her, and her face heated up quite a bit.
Her Brother, Orochi of the Hitsugi family... had pretty much made three points. One that he thought that this lady that Erisu has met just today was her girlfriend, two, that Erisu would have an attraction to blondes, and three, that it might run in the blood. All of this would overwhelm the girl in moments as her eyes would become a swirl as she kind of tried to cover her face. Just how did she not understand what his initial statement was? It was because her mind was only average speed. It was not the speed of one quick at thought. So the realization dawned on her quite heavily at that point.
She tried to restrain herself from trying to yell at her brother, or look Rayla in the face for a few moments. She did this mostly because as someone who was average and normal, she did not think her face would look good with swirly eyes or a blush. She would try to compose herself a few moments later, to look at her brother. She had hoped not to run into her family, but remembered that her brother works at the Cafe, and she usually avoided it on days he worked. She forgot because this week she was living with her Father and Sister. She mostly avoided leaving her mother's place, but her father was unbearable. So she had to avoid that.
Finally finding her voice, she would look her brother square in the eyes. "I am not with my...girlfriend... This is Rayla of the Lichtstein Family, I was about to guide her to the cafe nearby." Of course, this is Erisu, so she had not made the situation any better for herself. She was, as her brother's mind had put it, clueless. She might come to actually develop a crush on Rayla at this point just due to the confusion running in her mind, and the emotions running across her. Still, there was plenty of time to develop a crush. For now she still had something she needed to do.
Post by RAYLA LICHTSTEIN on Sept 12, 2018 2:01:13 GMT
So close yet so far away, they’d only just meet yet a common interest was found. The gothic girl named Erisu hadn’t shoved Rayla away. Such boldness wouldn’t go unattended as Rayla desired for a much deeper bond. Rayla would complete all events flags, going so far as to platinum Erisu. Time would eventually unveil their future, should one exist. Personal matters still needed tending. If she had free time then maybe, but she’d just play with the idea for time being. Interestingly enough, the event tosses in another character. A male’s sudden exclamation stirred Rayla’s attention. Body halfway turned, slowly sliding a sensually tickling hand down Erisu’s back.
”We were just about to go on a date. She’s quite the bold one.” Fingers traced down along Erisu’s hip, down across the bottom of her rump, and rose her other hand waving to the newcomer. ”Something always shows up during the first Event.” A bit of venom minced in with her cheerful demeanor. Rayla couldn’t be mad, if at all. The boy just spouted good information. ”So now I know my Affection Points will raise fast with her. Lucky me.” Rayla laughed, seeing if either would understand gamer lingo. If not, she’d need to change tactics.
”Looks like we already have the blessings of your friend.” As though Erisu had no choice in the matter.

A grin slipped across his face all but for a moment. ’Not her girlfriend?’ Then this girl is surely taking advantage of the situation. His fingers twitched some. It was a bad habit, but the situation was rubbing him wrong. His senses were a tad on high alert after the hollow from earlier, but for some reason it was like he was looking at some sort of watered down hollow. The girl just felt odd, and it bothered him. He shrugged some. ”Guess I’m glad she’s not as sensitive as other, or at least she tries to say she isn’t.” He let slip from his lips. ” Pleasure by the way. I’m Hitsugi Orochi, her older brother.” He’d say with a grin as he bowed a little with his right hand over his chest. The Celtic cross on his wrist fell free for a moment out of his sleeve before he shook his wrist to hide it once more. The observant ones would take note of it while others could write it off.
He was opening his mouth once more before the morbid sounds of human screaming left the pocket of his jacket. Said pocket held his cell phone. The screams were the personal ring tone for his boss. ”Holy fuck, I’m late. I’ll see you girl’s later. Bring her by to meet Mom~ Also we can chit chat about him later.” He said before starting to jog off, heading to the cafe. Today was going to be a long day for him.

She could not help but sigh. Her brother was already wanting her to bring this new acquaintance to meet the mother... That was a scary thought. That would have heavy implications, as that meant she would have to wait till the week was over, for there was no way she was going to her mother's house during a time when she lives with her father outside of obligation. Two, this was someone she did not even know if she would be interacting with again after this. She had just met this woman, and there was no way she was going to introduce someone she had just met to the insanity that was her family. She did not want to be called a weird person because of her family... Her brother was probably the safest among the family to introduce people to, and that was saying something.
Though speaking of the lady in question, Erisu suddenly let loose a squeak as she realized she had been groped. Her eyes were wide as she looked at Rayla. The Cheeky girl had just groped her... She did not know how to feel about this. She still was not certain how to feel about her brother and this girl speaking together in the way they did, but she just got groped. That was a first time for her, but she did not know if it was just impolite or something she should admonish. Before she could speak against Rayla's statement, her brother spoke up, introducing himself and stuff, so it was fine. Not the fact that she had been groped, but the fact that the misinterpretation was dealt with. Still, he was going off towards work, and that meant she was free of his presence.
She would move away from Rayla, so as to get out of groping range, and look at her, blushing still. "I do not think we know each other well enough yet for that kind of thing..." she would shyly respond, before looking at the radiant blond. "My big brother hates my father, so of course if you ever were to date me... you would have to be advised about both interacting with my mother, and father, not to mention my Twin sister..." she would be getting ahead of herself before she knew it. Then she realized something and blinked rapidly. "So, the cafe, that is that way." she would state, as she would start to move ironically in the same direction as her older brother. It was not like he worked at the cafe, or maybe the cafe was the one he worked at... she could not remember. She just knew that she needed to head the same direction. She was oddly not comfortable right now. Maybe it was the fact that her brother came by. Maybe it was the groping that had happened, or the fact that her brother had apparently given this virtual stranger permission to date her.
Either way, she was going to have to head towards the building. Who knows, maybe Rayla would choose a different course of action, but she did not know if she had any evidence to follow. Her mind was average, and reading other people was not a strong suit of Erisu.

"I can sense things too. I have a bullshit detector installed directly into my brain. It isn't going off right now though." Had Orochi hinted towards the possibility of being spiritually aware? Did he know Rayla could see spirits? Her cheeful face had dulled during the following moments of passing thought. The, once nearby, Hollow had brought worry to Rayla's mind. Karakura Town was likened to other areas with high spiritual activity. That meant Hollow would ofen be a problem, and Ralya being spiritually gifted meant she too would attract Hollow unless she surpressed herself. Maybe that's why Orochi was nearby, keeping an eye on Erisu or just going around slaying Hollow. That brought up another issue, his bracelet.
She'd seen bracelets before. Of course Rayla would've considering her family situation, but her ill feelings towards the bracelet could be off. Rayla would openly stay off the topic for now, as Erisu didn't seem aware of her own gifts. Brows perked up, Rayla turning head from Orochi to Erisu, who was walking to the cafe. This girl, she was an odd one. Normally people would either scream or hit someone groping them. Erisu just passed the whole situation off as thought it either happened often, air headed, or just didn't care. "So, is all your family going to have an odd ring tone? Or is that just your brother's work ringtone? For a moment, I thought that was you screaming or his pants screaming because of really bad gas."
Post by Hitsugi, Erisu on Sept 17, 2018 0:01:27 GMT
She tried to understand the concept of them and sensing things, but it was too much for her average and normal brain to comprehend. So it went over her head, and promptly flew away. She would watch as her brother left them at a speed faster than what most would consider normal. When asked about the ring tones, she just shrugged. "I do not really use my phone, and I do not think anyone else uses that ringtone, it is an odd one for certain." she would state. It was a strange one, but with how crazy her family was, she had no way of knowing if it was normal or not. Apparently it was not. She would have to keep that in mind, if she wanted to be able to be seen as more normal. Mentally she checked that on a list for her versus her family in the normality corner. She liked the way sorted lists looked and acted, it made her feel clean, neat, and talented, even though sorting things was not really a talent, and more of a part of pattern recognition. She was average in that.
She would guide the way towards the cafe slowly, passing by people as they went. She would not really notice them, and honestly, they did not really notice her. She had little in the way of draw or presence. Even her duo colored hair did not draw people's attention. It was natural by the way, just so people reading would know. She did not know how hers would show up like that. If Rayla was watching, many people would almost run into Erisu, but she would just move before they would hit her. It was like they were blind to her. Not that they were. It was just something that Erisu was used to. She was too withdrawn.
Still, as they got closer to the Cafe, the feeling that Erisu was teetering at the thought of going in increased. She was thinking about her brother, and the work environment that the Cafe was. Ultimately she was also worried her brother would end up taking care of their order. That might be awkward. Still, she would just have to brave it out, Rayla offered to treat her. She wanted to spend time with someone else... even if they were a perverted girl who had groped her, even if they were a radiant angel who apparently had the ego to say that the sun was no contest for them. She wanted to spend time with her.

An old oracle once spoke: The villages drown the m a sea that had no end, A pitch black sky and land where nothing remains but ashes. From horrid, all consuming, flames bodies crackle like charcoal. Such a vision had been promised to Rayla should she continue walking down her path. Vengeance hadn’t crossed Rayla’s mind, more so setting right the wrongful atrocities started by her family. Rather vengeance justice or something else Rayla believed in the prophecy. The bones and runes hadn’t betrayed Rayla yet, even if their meaning wasn’t hardly ever clear. Her ancestors paved their roads with salt-water blood and bones. To bad they lost their way. By being in Japan Rayla could start them on the correct path again. As to how had not yet been revealed to our readers.
The runes said nothing about another assisting Rayla during her venture here. Maybe she’d play around and tell Erisu’s future at some point. It’d be a good way to have fun. A few friends back in Germany often pestered Rayla for readings, often to her annoyance. If this date went well maybe for a second or third. Couldn’t give away everything on the first day. Give Erisu a desire to know more about the oddity that was Rayla. ”How is the service here?” An important question. She didn’t suggest this place but she was going to pay. Rayla liked knowing the quality of food before going somewhere. She deserved only the best. But a good coffee or tea? Simple could be called best.
She’d rather not impose Erisu by opening the door. Instead, she left it to Erisu to open. Sure she was paying and there was a culture gap, but normally the person in front opened and held doors open. ”So an important question, tea or coffee? I’ve seen it make or break friendships.”
Post by Orochi Hitsugi on Sept 26, 2018 21:56:17 GMT
”Coffee.” Would’ve been an answer to the fullbringer’s question as the man who had just left them moments ago had been standing at the podium before them as they entered through the door. However there was an attire change. His hair was pulled back into a bit of a short pony tail, and his causal clothes were replaced by a semi-formal butler attire. He gazed flicked up from the book he was gazing at as he looked at them, realizing who exactly he’d answered the question of. ”Oh lovely. He would first mutter under his breath.
”Welcome to Ayume’s Reserve Harem Cafe! With the early morning we have to unfortunately inform you we are not yet serving tea, but we are providing coffee with the purchase of a breakfast. He spoke out with his usual apathetic tone. As was his cliché in the cafe. He was the one who “was a punk” or “didn’t care about his job” which was the exact opposite of who he was, but it wasn’t going to be something he was going to argue with.
”Seeing as we’re short on staff today, I will be your Harem boy Lets get to the table so I can get your damn order in.” He said with a sharp tone before grabbing two menus from the shelf behind the podium, and walking off to a clear booth in the back.

"I do not usually come here when my brother is working, but the service is rather good, as for Coffee or tea-" she would start, only to be interrupted by her brother. She would not finish the question though, as her brother had started his spiel. The other reason she did not like coming here when her brother was in action. It was part of the work persona, but he was so pushy. She did not like being pushed by him in such a way, it made her think of her father and how he was pushy a lot. She did not want her brother to turn out like that. Her father pushing her sister in 'Training' and pushing for dinner to be done by a certain time and such made her rather annoyed with the act. She would hold her tongue though, as she did not want her brother to realize that such thoughts were in her head.
She would follow her brother to the booth in the back. "I do not mind coffee or tea" she would finally answer. "Coffee I like with a bit of honey and milk, tea I like strong but with a hint of berry added." she would add. "With a possible side of pastry and cream." she would smile as she would finish. She did not make her order, just answered how she would usually go about a place like this. She did not have a usual drink of choice, instead going back and forth depending on if she was her to do homework or not. Simpler was better when she had homework and decided to do it here instead of at home. Either home. She hoped that the potential friend did not see her as a bad person for being one who swaps so casually. Still, it was about a sense of taste, and she liked her taste to be a mix of bitter and sweet for hot drinks. For cold drinks she preferred the taste of something a little sweet.
She realized she had not really thought about her taste palette. She would have to consider that carefully in the future. She would lean towards contradicting yet complimentary flavors. Heat and soothing cool. Sweet and Sour, Sweet and bitter. Things like that really helped her enjoy food more. Her cooking on the other hand was generally home Japanese home cooking. Curry, rice, bento and the like. Some meals were more traditional, and some where a little less traditional and more easy to fix. She could possibly expand upon her cooking skills if it was necessary.
"What about you? Coffee or Tea?" she would ask. She figured it was only fair to get an answer in return for the question that had been offered. She looked over the menu, choosing to go with what ever Rayla went with, just to make sure to not overburden the person who was paying. She wondered how her acquaintance would handle things.

Cosplay themed cafes were not common where Rayla came from. Her hometown cared more about sports rather than video games or anime. As someone who enjoyed alcohol one might think her to visit bars often however two factors prevented this. One being her age with the second she didn't care to drink with people who weren't friends. Japah, however, had cosplay cafes in many towns; Espcially the famous Akiba that was on Rayla's radar for sight seeing. Erisu's brother, Orochi, completed changed personalities. A wide eyed Rayla tried taking in Orochi's personality swap, as though he held multiple personalities. A once mouthy Orochi seemed detached, uncaring about job or others as though he didn't even want to be here. Rayla's left arm crossed, pressing against her breat while her right hand tapped her chin.
"I think I like him better this way." He wouldn't talk as much. Being less energetic would mean an easier time for Erisu and her. When meeting new people Rayla didn't like being interupted by others, but that wouldn't stop her from poking at Orochi or Erisu at given opprotunities. If only Rayla had a special dialog option that gave her a few choices, and she'd pick a choice that had a chance to increase her Affection Points with either of them, or even trigger special events. "It's gotta be tea. I'll add in some raspberry but lemon and honey are my favorite." But being this early Rayla didn't have a choice. Hands resting on hips she leaned towards Erisu and spoke. "But I'm willing to try out new flavors." She whispered into Erisu's ear before going to the table and pulling out a chair for Erisu.
Sitting down herself, she'd look at the menu. "Black coffee. For food I think I'll go with the apple fritter."
