Arata Bankai

Bankai Type: Healing

Bankai Appearance: Upon entering Bankai, the rings of Sohan's shikai split into hundreds of rings that line up edge to edge, creating a 100m diameter circular domain. Arata gains a large ring behind his head and upon his back, the centre of which glows, making him resemble an eastern style buddha. He also gains a pair of wings made of interlinked wings, which he can use to both defend and attack, as well as cut and slash. He is able to draw ring-blades in from the edges of the domain which fly at Bala speed, and have bankai cutting power. The rings have different sizes, ranging from 2m in diameter at their very largest, to 5cm at their smallest.

Description: While his Bankai is activated, Arata's anti-negative technique is powered up considerably. He is able to completely cancel the effects/techniques of another's reiatsu. He is able to cancel one effect at a time this way. Aesthetically, the effect he wishes to cancel will be met with an inversely coloured copy of itself and will disintegrate (if said effect even has a tangible appearance). Passive, or area effects are only cancelled in a 10m radius around Arata.

This technique cannot be used to make opponents exit their release, nor can it be used to destroy zanpakuto/other permanent release constructs, however it is able to destroy temporary ones.

Description: Within the range of Arata's bankai, all physical strikes (techless) committed by anyone present will heal their targets instead of harming them. In general these healing effects will be small, minor cuts and scrapes, burns, general bruising and battering.

By striking beings with his own Zanpakuto, Arata is able to increase this effect immensely. This allows him to heal up to extensive wounds, including organ damage, severely debilitated limbs, extreme poisoning, extensive blood loss, depending on the tier used.

Name: 逆攻撃 (Gyaku kogeki) [Reverse Attack]

Description: Any beings within range of Sohan Tenshi no Shisha acquire a halo similar to Arata's. If they are an ally, their speed is buffed by 3x, unless they already possess a stronger buff. Arata can bestow a stronger buff on any targets he desires, up to 5x. The bestowed buff can be a speed or strength buff, but not both simultaneously. He can spread the buff out amongst multiple allies, however the level of augmentation relative to tier is dropped by one relative to the guidelines in the technique guide.

Furthermore, allies possessed of a halo are able to (with Arata's permission) draw from Arata's reiryoku in order to use their attacks. This enables them to make attacks that trigger Arata's release cooldowns instead of their own cooldowns. This works for universal, racial, and release masteries (not items).

Description: By passing someone through one of the rings, Arata can seal them away in a hidden dimension known as the Kankatsu. There is nothing but a white floor, and a gentle ambient light surrounding those inside, while everywhere recedes into blackness. The ratio of time passing in this dimension to the real dimension is 1:597,681. Thus for all intents and purposes they are completely locked away and experience time at virtually a standstill compared to the real world. This technique is nonetheless relatively easy to escape, should the being truly wish it, able to easily avoid being locked away through sheer willpower to begin with unless they are 4 or more advantages below Arata. No other technique can access them from this dimension.

By reducing the extreme ratio of time passed within this dimension, he can increase the strength of the binding (tiers IV-VII), making escape only possible via a reiatsu burst. The time dilation drops logarythmically, such that at tier VII the ratio drops to 1:1. There are, however, powerful negative effects that come associated with this state. The extreme time dilation in the dimension is in fact a protection for its inhabitants- due to its healing, Sohan Tenshi no Shisha absorbs a great deal of negative energy. By increasing the strength of the effect locking those into this dimension, and thus reducing the time dilation, they experience the negative energy that has been absorbed, the negativity of the very space of the dimension acting as a poison on its inhabitants' minds. This manifests in emotions of extreme despair and hopelessness, and a leech of killing intent. Those trapped inside the Kankaku find themselves unable to envision victory, and are only able to imagine their imminent deaths as their bodies fall apart and they are cast into oblivion, and succumb to hopelessness. This is partly also due to the Kankaku being a sink for Arata's own feelings of depression and anhedonia. They are still able to break out as normal, however the effects of this despairing poison will linger for several posts depending on the tier.

Out of combat, Arata is able to move people into and out of this dimension at will by passing his rings over them. In this case, the time elapsed is generally at the normal ratio of 1:597,681. Reiatsu is completely hidden inside the kankatsu, and it cannot be traced or tracked by any means whatsoever.
