"Hm?" Iiname asked of lunch hour. Only an hour for lunch? A scheduled lunch? After the brutality of this theater class? He wondered if the winners of this class were only allowed to fight. Well then so be it.
"Let us vanquish these foes and then commence to fill our bellies!!" He'd say proudly then blink at Shiro's notion of Sayuri being an Arrancar. It was a notion that prompted strange kisk kisk kisk noises from him. No mechanical sounds just highly jovial and amused lizard ones. The noise increased in volume as Sayuri sniffed herself. What silly creatures they were!
Iiname would perk up from shiro's shoulder at the mention of snacks. The tiny but mighty hollow would zip down Shiro back to the ground and began walking with him like a proper escort should. Best to have all feet on the ground after all if there were folks out to eat other folks. It was only the proper thing for a defender to do. "You must be very powerful indeed Miss Sayuri to command such respect as to dismiss such tardiness."
The tiny lizard would tilt his head as he skittered more than walked following between the two girls. "I suppose that is true of all sorts." He'd make conversation to Sayuri's dog eat dog world comment. "But if we pride ourselves on any thing on as elevated creatures it is the ability to look past our instincts and create bonds based on rational thought is it not?"
His snout would move to look at Sayuri at the not a friend comment then seemed to make a murrr noise at the protection bit. "Not a friend...but a COMRAD IN ARMS HUZZAH lucky am I today to meet such a warrior and such a scholar." Iiname said of each of the girls. "Come mighty Sayuri and wise Shiro! Let us prevail through this class then engorge ourselves on the finest of strings in soup!"
So sure of he that these classes must be some sort of two legger battle rituals that he practically strutted down the school halls between the two girls, chest puffed out and chin held high with pride.
"...Eh?" Shiro's eyes glazed over in confusion as Sayuri lifted her arm to sniff herself. "N-no I didn't mean that you smell bad or anything! I just-" Shiro, confused and flustered by what Sayuri thought she meant, held out her hands and shook them, trying to break the misunderstanding. Shiro didn't know what to say, and Iiname's off-the-wall comments quickly dissolved shiro's worries.
Iiname was right about one thing. In that instant, Shiro had instinctively guarded herself against Sayuri when she'd glimpsed upon the remote possibility of her being an enemy. The girl's pent up reiatsu completely dispersed with Iiname's comments hanging on her thoughts. "Erm... so if you're not an Arrancar... then what are you exactly?" she asked, returning her posture to a less guarded standing one.
Shiro couldn't help but laugh at the hollow's thought processes. "Theater isn't a fight or a competition. It's an opportunity for us to unleash our creativity." Shiro felt a little disappointed when Iiname opted to walk between them instead of on her shoulder. The girl wondered if thinking like this was right, he was a hollow after all. Did she really have no problem being this close to the very type of creature that had taken away her parents? Shiro shook her head. No, it wouldn't be right to think that way about Iiname. Besides, he seemed to know Theo, which drove the girl's curiosity in circles as she tried to figure out how they could possibly know each other.
Shiro couldn't help but smile while she followed behind the two. Sayuri seemed strangely stoic and lacking in emotional animation, while Iiname seemed ecstatic about pretty much everything. She found herself wondering where that would put her within the lot as they approached their next class.

She teased the naive girl—The reaction was nothing short of cute in mind. Peeking over her shoulder, her gaze fell upon Shiro’s shoulder and something seemed a miss. Where the hell did the lizard go? As the creature choose to converse with the pink haired girl, she halted on a dime and turned right around. He was not going to be allowed to stay on the floor, no way in any figure of hell. Extending her right hand with her bend downward, she made a swift grab to the lizard and if he allowed, the grab was quite gentle with care in mind. Once within her hand, she flipped her palm upward to allow him to rest within it without the need of her holding it.
“I am just a human.” She said with her gaze moving to look to Shiro, her head even canting a bit and with that, she turned right back around with lizard in hand. Despite having a rough nature, she had quite the delicate flesh and hold in mind. Moving the lizard in her palm to her shoulder for him to sit there, if he so allowed it at that point, she would’ve moved her hand to hide him. “I am, also, a part of the student body council. A rank given to those who are excellence in performance and leadership. So. I can dismiss the such a lateness.” She told to Iiname, explaining it the best way possible.
“Theater arts is a form of self expression and storytelling. A single person can take a single role, pretending and re-enacting historical event or a fantasy tale. It is an interesting place to put one’s creativity for storytelling and directing for telling such a story.” She explained the course and class all together, hoping it would get a better understanding and saving Shiro the trouble. After a few moments of walking, Sayuri turned to her right and faced a door, written upon it was “Teacher’ lounge”. Taking her left hand, she pulled the door open for Shiro and gestured her in. However, a teacher sitting at the table fifteen feet away from the door, which she looked too, her gaze finding Sayuri.
She seemed to be in her 20s, but she was actually in her 40s. Her eyes were green while her hair was brown, she kept ivory skin and a gentle smile that beamed to Sayuri. “Hello, Suzume!” She greeted, leaning a bit to her left to look at Shiro before she was able to enter. “Oh! You have a friend too!” She seemed quite excited with delight in her gentle feminine tone.
“Greetings, Himari.” Sayuri waved her hand, stepping right in after Shiro. “I do hope I am not bothering your break, Shiro has had quite a day and seemed to want a snack. I hoped to get her one.” She admitted and with a bit of awkwardness. Tugging at the corners of her lips, Sayuri offered a slight smile. A small smile that would’ve been unnoticeable when worn on anyone else, but considering how stoic Sayuri was. It was quite visible for only a second. “Not at all, Suzume!” The teacher replied.
Pulling her wallet from her back pocket, Sayuri moved over to corner of the room and stood before a vending machine. Her hues looked to Shiro. “Pick something.” She said, not just to Shiro, but Iiname too! There was quite the list of options, going as far from ice to soda, sandwiches too! Even chips! “Don't think about the prices either.”
"Kree aye tiv itty?" The mechanical voice sounded the word until it sounded correct. "Unleash creativity." Hmm what sort of power was this creativity that it needed to be leashed Iiname wondered. It would be lost in this thought that Iiname found himself being grabbed.
"Merp." An actual lizard noise came from him instead of the collar's human noise. He'd allow it even though it took him by surprised. Iiname found himself resting in a palm that wasn't quite large enough to rest in comfortably. He more than happily took to her shoulder wondering if there was something maybe on the floor's coating he shouldn't touch that the girl creature's footwear protected them from.
His eyes would widen slightly at the idea of part student body. He of course wondered how parts function on their on and if they combined to make something else. This place of learning was for sure a strange one.
The poor little hero's mind whirrled with more questions to Sayuri's explinations but he'd not be one to just give up because these creature's culture was confusing. Oh no not at all. If anything it only ignited a need to know more.
A little lizard head poked out between sakura colored locks of hair as Sayuri spoke to this Himari person. Hmm he sure was meeting a lot of people today. His head would tilt at the strangenes of the machine filled with food. "What are ...prices?" Iiname said then saw a very familar cup with the script on it indicating his favorite food.
"OOh!" and with that Iiname had launched himself from Sayumi's shoulder right at where the ramen cup was in the vending machine. There would be a resounding thunk as his little head collided with the plexi glass of the machine. The little lizard clung comically to the clear barrier for a moment before sliding slightly down numb with the shock he'd stopped before reaching his goal.
Little liazrdy legs scurried to find hold and with all little claws spread he sunk them into the mystical clear barrier that was sudden his greatest foe....Vending Machine.
"What matter of sorcery is this?" He'd ask seeing his prize but not being able to reach it. Iiname's mouth would open as if to try to grab the ramen cume with his teeth only to have little clatters sound as sharp points collided against the barrier. "Hmmmm...." He'd say moving his head so that one eye could inspect this barrier better.
His head then would crane back over at the two girls "There seems to be a magical spell between us and the food. Worry not I will find a way to our prize..." He'd tell them then began to try to head but the barrier down, tail thrashing behind him as he did so, all the while still clinging to the plexi glass window with his claws.
"Human huh..." Shiro didn't really believe those words, not with the energy she felt coming from Sayuri. The girl felt too hollow-ish for such a simple explanation to sate her curiosity about what Sayuri really was. "Whatever you say I guess..." Shiro visibly shrugged. If Sayuri wanted to keep her identity hush hush then who was she to question it.
Shiro entered the lounge behind Sayuri, a bit disappointed that Iiname now sat on Sayuri's shoulder instead of her own. She waved to the all too young looking teacher in the lounge. "Ah you don't need to do that for me..." Shiro protested. Before she could further her protest and explain why she didn't need to buy her food, Iiname seemingly launched himself at the vending machine, tossing any sense of politeness or consideration out the window as his tiny body slammed against it.
"Strings...!" Shiro finally pieced together what the Lizard had stated to her earlier. "Ah! I see!" Desperately trying not to laugh out loud due to Iiname's antics, Shiro punched the number code for the cup ramen into the vending machine's interface. "Cup ramen!" Shiro noted to Iiname, hoping to correct his earlier description of the food. The machine's gears turned and one of the cups dropped into a heating element for a short amount of time before moving the heated product in front of the dispenser for retrieval. With this she could make it look like she got the ramen for herself when in reality she was simply avoiding having Sayuri purchase her food for her. With the teacher here and likely unable to see Iiname, Shiro figured Sayuri wouldn't raise suspicions by insisting she get more than this.
The real question now was whether Iiname would be patient enough to wait until they left the lounge before jumping onto the cup ramen in the same manner as he had the vending machine.

She blinked. Her gaze fell to the lizard with her head canting a bit to the right. This poor misguided creature had no idea what the human world was like, he seemed to have as much awareness as a goldfish in a bowl and all he wanted was the ramen. One part of her wanted to grab the poor misguided thing, but the other side of her thought it was too adorable to stop. “Is everything alright?” The teacher turned to ask, beaming between Shiro and Sayuri. Almost with curiousness and concern, the concern being the least expressed.
“Yes.” Sayuri replied with a light lull to her tone, she was not embarrassed nor bothered by the display. However, her head turned with haste to Shiro who ordered her own food. The betrayal, she narrowed her hues to Shiro. Taking her hands, she moved to grab Iiname with a firm grab, but not one to hurt him—Just one to keep him still. It’ll be quite awkward to explain why needles were disappearing or floating if he was to attack the cup that Shiro collected.
“We can eat over here.” Sayuri motioned to the left, moving to a door and with a hip check, she went into the next room. Beyond the door were places to seat with round tables to match, nothing too fancy, but not like the lunch room. Once at a table, she placed the lizard down upon it, near the salt and pepper items. Paper towels too. “We have about ten or twenty more minutes until theater, so don’t rush eating.” She advised. WIth that, she motioned away from the table to another device, a refrigerator with different drinks. Most being water.
“Do you want water or an orange soda?” She asked Shior, even the lizard too.
Iiname blinked twice as Shiro did battle with the magical machine beast. "Huzzzah?" He was mystified as her powers of persuasion coherced the sweet treasure from the barrier creature. "You are truly powerful Miss Shiro to vanquish such a crafty foe!"
"Fear not fair maiden we three heros of light have this vexing foe under control!" Iiname would say to the teacher, not realizing she too couldn't see him. The mighty hero relesed his grip on the barrier and began to slide purposfully down to the disping area to claim the prize, only to be scooped up by Sayuri's hand right as his jaws were about to clamp down on the styrofoam rim of the cup. He'd blink the nod to her explination of moving location. "Ah yes, best not to not drop our guard around such a creature." He of course was speaking about the vending machine. He'd be glaring all the way out the door at the machine in case the beast tried to attack the girl's flanks.
Once released onto the table top Iiname skittered around the rim, looking underneath as he did. Almost if he were scouting for danger. "Yes Mighty Sayuri this area seems most secure." He'd comment with a approving thud of his long tail.
Once the cup of ramen was placed down he'd visably be drooling. But he'd wait. Shiro had made the kill so the majority of the reward would be hers. It was only polite of course.
Tiny nostril's flared at a combination of new terms. "Orange...soda..." The mechanical voice said each word normally but the cadence seemed off. "Orange soda. What is orange soda?"
It proved comical as the lizard nearly succeeded in clamping down on the externals of the styrofoam cup before Sayuri snatched him up and carried him away. "Alright." Shiro nodded, following Sayuri into the other room, she could almost feel the cold look the other girl gave her when she'd taken the opportunity to get Iiname something instead of herself.
"I'm not all that hungry right now so it's fine if only Iiname eats." Shiro stated after they were securely within the room and out of earshot of the teacher. She then broke off the supplied chopsticks, pealing back the seal on the cup of ramen. Steam and the fragrance of freshly heated ramen rushed out of the opened cup. "If you care to use them, this is how you use the chopsticks." Shiro set the chopsticks between her fingers, moving them to show Iiname the correct gripping motion to use. She wasn't sure if he would use them though. His hands, or rather feet, didn't seem like they had the opposability to be able to handle chopsticks. She set the sticks in front of Iiname regardless. He could choose to use them or not, it was up to him. "Feel free." Shiro motioned to Iiname towards the cup.
"I'll take an orange soda then." Shiro chimed in, not wanting to be doubly rude to Sayuri by refusing drink as well. "It's a bubbly drink that tastes like oranges." She smiled at Iiname as she explained. She could see why she'd warmed up to this Hollow so quickly. He was full of questions about literally everything. It was a thing that might quickly annoy others but it strangely relaxed her somehow.
Perhaps she'd ask some of her own questions that she'd been holding back from Theo the next time she saw him... Maybe. Probably not.

Ah, Sayuri hadn’t been that bothered by Shiro humble nature, but more so off-guard by it. The girl seemed to be a pure-naive heart, through and through, she didn’t desire to be a bother and wanted nothing more than friendship with the world, understanding too. Hm. Maybe Sayuri shouldn’t be too uptight with the girl and her friendly lizard. It was an interesting change between her day, a new student with a kind heart and a lizard held to that of a hollow in body, but a british heart of a gentleman. Quite interesting, indeed.
“Orange soda, it is.” She confirmed their request—Her right hand collecting two glass bottles, her left hand collecting a bottle of water and her hip closing the refrigerator. Motioning right back to the table, she offered her the lizard and Shiro their orange sodas, walking away to grab a bowl and then walk right back to find a seat. The bowl was for the Lizard to drink from, but she was a bit curious to see if he could eat with chopsticks and drink without the need of the bowl.
Comfortable within her seat, her head turned to look to Shiro. She thought about her question and even went as far as to debate on answering it. She wasn’t going to say she trusted the girl, but she was curious. “A Fullbringer.” She said, without any context to it. Twisting the cap from her bottle of water, she took a small sip.
The little lizard at the idea of the other's not eating. Strange creatures indeed to pass up a meal. His drool would increase ten fold as the smell caused his nostrils to flare in appreciation. Iiname's thought of devouring the cup were interrupted by Shiro demonstrating the chopsticks. "Chopsticks...." The mechanical voice whirred the word over a few times before saying it correctly. "That is a very odd word indeed." He idly wondered if the wooden tools of Shiro's trade actually chopped sticks or not.
Mighty front claws began to wrestle with the little bamboo slivers in an attempt to mimic what Shiro had done. It became quickly clear lizard hands were not suited for such a tool. Would Iiname give up? He most certainly would not. No tool would be the best of him.
It would take the fearless hero several strange attempts in several strange positions wrestling with the sticks before he'd end up flat on his backfront claws grasping one stick and back claws grasping another, tail entwined between and around both, before he'd get the motion Shiro had down. "Huzzah!" He'd say sounding proud of himself. "I have the craft now." It would be more than a few moments later of silence and the bizzar chopstick motion happening, that he'd look over at Shiro. "What ever do you do with this particular skill set?"
She'd offered to teach him an interesting skill but....well he'd never connected the idea they were used to eat food with.
All curiosities about the sticks were dropped when Shiro gave up her claim to the cup. Nay those very sticks were dropped faster than a quincy could step and in not so equally fast motion, Iiname was gobbling down the ramen...cup and all.
"I like the shell the best." He'd explain to the two girls.
"Bubbly?" The word seemed a bit strange and he had no reference to compare it against....well at least not yet.
Sayuri would set the object in question in front of him and he'd circle the bottle in curious observation of the glass. "LOOK THERE! WE'VE BEEN HAD UPON!" He'd declare suddenly as a glimps of his reflection in the glass startled him. "I'll take care of this handsom invader!" and with that...Iiname tackled the bottle jaws spread wide for a fight.
Teeth landed solidly around the glass as best as they could with a sharp tink sound, and the confusion could be seen in the little lizards green eyes. "Huzzah?" He'd say letting the toppled bottle go and preening his head around to get a better look at what he'd accidenly ran into. "Eegads, He like that vexing mechanical beast has a barrier!"
Iiname then began to claw at the bottle, shaving into little claw marks scratch by scratch. "Hmmm....quick toss the trinkets at it so it is dispelled!" He'd say rolling the bottle back over to the girls with his snout.

Iiname had opted out of trying to use the chopsticks. Shiro had to hold back her laughs at his uncanny attempts prior to throwing them aside and simply launching himself at the cup ramen. She was too lost in his antics to realize he'd also eaten the styrofoam cup itself until it was already consumed. The girl had no taste for styrofoam but she shrugged it off. He was a lizard, at least Shiro was pretty certain he had been, so his tastes were likely different than hers.
"Full...Bringer...?" Shiro cocked her head at Sayuri in curiosity, picking up the soda bottle Iiname rolled in her direction. She'd heard about several different types of people and creatures, Shinigami, Hollow, Arrancar, even Quincy after becoming spiritually aware but Fullbringer was one she hadn't heard about yet.
Looking around the room revealed a shelf of disposable dishes which Shiro promptly took a shallow styrofoam bowl from. Returning to the table, she set the bowl on the table and popped the cap off the bottle, pouring its contents into the bowl for Iiname. The soda fizzed and bubbled up as it was poured, most of the foam disappeared quickly, leaving the carbonation from the drink. The bubbles forming around the interior of the bowl would occasionally break loose and make their way to the surface before disappearing into the air.
"So... What is a Fullbringer exactly?" Shiro returned to the topic after attending Iiname's curiosities, taking a seat at the table and hoping Sayuri would indulge her. She popped open the soda Sayuri had handed her and took a drink of the bubbly concoction.

The purest expression of nothingness painted her collective and youthful face, the simplest reaction as her gaze met the lizard was a single blink and another blink offering as a double take to understand the creature—He had no idea what a reflection was? “Iiname.” The single word was nothing more to grasp at the lizard’ attention for just a moment, her right hand extending to the glossy-glass bowl. “Have you not cast your eyes upon a surface of still water?” She asked the creature, gripping the bowl and moving it with the lift from the table. Her hands cupping around it as her head canted to look down into the bowl.
“It is a reflection. Our reflection. A reflection is when light, easily known as a natural or man-made agent that stimulates our ability of sight, bounces off an object. An example of an object is this bowl.” She tapped her index fingers against the sides of the bowl as she presented the smooth-shiny sides of the glass bowl. Oh sweet lord within these realms, if she had to explain what an agent or which definition of agent she meant, she may actually become sad. She may actually cry a little bit. “Had this bowl been rough, the light would bounce unevenly and our reflections would be murky. In a sens—” She paused for a moment, her hues looking to the lizard… Shiro not knowing what a Fullbringer caught her for a moment and caused her to question… Was she really explaining a reflection and how light worked… Cutting all her what she explained, she pressed the bowl into the table with gentleness. She must seem like a nerd right now… She read too many books to the point she could reveal information like one.
“Do you know how to read?” She asked quite simply to the lizard with the cant of her head and with that single question. Her attention moved to Shiro, the human that had no idea about the human subrace known as Fullbringers. So. Shiro was not a Quincy nor a Fullbringer, she couldn’t be a Shinigami or anything relating to the hollowfied races. Instead of answering her question, she thought to humor the girl by just a little example of her abilities. Taking her right hand index finger, she pointed to the styrofoam bowl filled with bubbly and fuzzy orange soda. Motioning her index finger in the come here gesture, it almost seemed there was an invisible string she pulled upon or pulled on for a soul to respond to such a suggestion.
“A Fullbringer.” Once the gesture and motion was made, there was an increase in bubbling from the orange soda and it seemed to be blowing bubbles filled liquid soda, fifty mouth sized bubbles for the lizard to easily catch. With a casual float, they danced within the air in a naive levitation, almost an orbiting around the lizard and under the control of Sayuri’s now spinning index finger gesture and watchful gaze. “Is a result when the mother is attacked by a hollow creature and thus, our abilities and powers come from a hollow.”
Iiname would watch Shiro conquer yet another clear barrier in awe. That was two barriers the girl had felled with out so much as breaking a sweat. Amazing. Even more amazing was that the intruder had disappeared the moment she'd touched the item AND it was pouring out strange fizzling blood. "What sort of...strangeness..." His little lizard nose would twitch at the strange sensations the fizzy blood had on it. It...tickled... maybe some sort of defensive reaction to not be eaten? But....it also smelled....tart.
His head would quirk over at Sayuri as she began to explain the science behind what he'd seen. "So...this isn't blood?" He'd ask about the orange liquid.
He'd beam at the question about the reading. "Oh I love to read! Though I still am not sure how I learned." He'd say like not sure if that was important or not. "Mrs. Shiro has a very nice book on her person. Was one of my favorites. I also enjoyed Goodnight Moon, Stellaluna and ....Are You My Mother." The lizard was listing children's books of all thing.
Iiname's focus went back to the bubbling drink and he'd smack his reptilian jaws together as if he was licking his lips. Now that he knew it wasn't blood he was very curious of this liquid. He'd go to delicately stick his tongue out at the liquid to taste only to have it freeze mid position at the now growing bubble. He resisted the urge to hiss at his...what he now knew to be...reflection in the bubble.
"Hoooo?" He'd say as Sayuri made the droplets float around him like little fireflies. Both girls would find him then sitting calmly entranced by the new magicks. It reminded him of fireflies....one of two insects he'd never attack. "Very impressive Miss Sayuri...can you make them flicker?"
"...I'm sorry, I... didn't realize..." Shiro lowered her drink into her lap suddenly feeling saddened. She watched the bubbles inside the bottle fizzle and grow, then pop. "It was... probably a week or two ago now... well... since I was freed from the hospital that is..." Shiro paused, not really wanting to think about the past, even if it were the recent past. "My parents were taken from me..." She glanced at Iiname, thinking of a way to explain without Iiname being confused into thinking she was accusing him. "A monster took them while I was in school that day..." Shiro stopped. It was probably enough for Sayuri to understand without going further into detail. If Shiro had to continue her explanation she wasn't sure she would be able to hold back her emotions. Everything was still all too recent for her...
A smile cracked along Shiro's somber face from listening to Iiname's excitement over Sayuri's performance. He really was much like a kid, still grasping at all the new experiences and wonders of life. She'd be lying though if she'd said it wasn't impressive. "Everyone has different types of abilities huh." Shiro directed the question to Sayuri, watching the same bubbles that Iiname watched. She was a bit surprised he chose to sit and watch rather than leap at them like he had everything else up till now.

“Sorry..?” Repeated within the questioning process of a thought, her head canted with a bit of confusion as to why Shiro found herself being sorry—Oh… There was something deeper unfolding itself. With a wholeheart, Sayuri listened to the emotion filled words that the girl spoke, despite being devoid of emotion in face and holding a fragment of feeling inside her, Sayuri understood what Shiro displayed in grief on a spiritual level. However, with her trailing words, the only word that made Sayuri react was ‘hospital’ and that caused her fingers of her resting hand to dig into the table in a clawing motion. How sad. For the safety of Shiro, she felt the slightest urge of concern for the girl and her emotions, should Sayuri stop her? She didn’t want to cut her off… But. Shiro cut herself off.
“I do understand the burden within your heart.” Lifting upon the corners of her lips, a gentle smile revealed itself and it wasn’t a simple display of forced or empty emotion, it was a simple technique Sayuri had learned to ease wry hearts or charm them—Often used on plus souls, children and clients. “Despite their departure, you should remember you are their legacy and the memories of your parents should be honored by being strong. Be the best possible you, you can be and pass on what they left you with.” For the first time in for awhile, she spoke with a sensation of warmth to Shiro and the friendliest air danced from her.
“It will not be easy, but having friends and activities aid the process of recovery too. But.. Don’t try to forget it. Feelings and emotions are important. So. Don't be like me. Ha.” Wrapping up her speech, the friendliness and smile that added itself to her face fainted away. Collective and empty held itself regaining control while her voice rendered itself back into monotone. Her hues looking to the Lizard, moving out of the emotional conversation.
“I will give Shiro study books, I do not need them anymore and you should read them Iiname. You’ll understand a bit more.” She suggested to the lizard, her index finger gesture the fuzzy bubbles of liquid. She kept one still, the one that the lizard wanted to drink and the rest moved aimless around the table between Shiro and Sayuri. “What do you mean flicker?” She questioned, her head looking to Shiro who seemed to think her ability was something impressive too.
“It is something all Fullbringers can do.” She stated with a sense of modesty.
"Freed?" Iiname asked eyes following the orange bubbles. "Are hospitals like dungeons?" He'd wondered out loud only to blink at the notion of a monster taking a child's parents away. "What horrible creatures...." He'd puff up. No poor Shiro didn't deserve that. He'd make it his personal goal to find these parents. Well he had at least until Sayuri spoke and he realized Shiro was using a euphemism for death. One little lizard claw would be placed on top of Shiro's hand trying to comfort her.
"Wise words Sayuri-san." He'd nod at the fullbringer's speach about honoring one's parents. Not that he remembered his but it was a notion that was portrayed often in story books enough that he could understand and agree with it.
"Huzzah? Why shouldn't she be like you Miss Sayuri? You are honorable, kind and wise. Those all seem to be good qualities." Iiname seemed genuinely confused.
BUT at the mention of books his head and body language would perk back to attention. "I do enjoy a good book." Iiname would say tail thrashing back and forth excitedly. "Come Shiro I shall read to you and make you feel better." He wasn't really sure why but he liked it with then golden hair one would read to him. It had been how he'd learned of course. So obviously since Shiro was sad he'd read to her so she wouldn't be sad.
Green eyes met with Sayuri's ruby ones. "Flicker like sparkle, shine on and off. Like fireflies." He'd explain. "These dancing ...bubbles... remind me of fireflies." The reptilian warrior sounded more than a little nostalgic.
Then as if to interrupt the moment the most horrible of noises broke through their conversation. A metallic screaming creature mounted up on the wall. It was round in shame and seemed to be hitting itself repeatedly to make a shrill clinking sound. "BY ALL THAT IS AND ISN'T PLEASANT THAT IS A HORRID NOISE!"
"All Fullbringers...?" Shiro looked at Sayuri's hand which seemed to control the bubbles, then she looked to her own hand. Sayuri was still human right? Maybe that meant she could do something similar? Like telekinesis or something. Shiro set her now empty bottle down on the table, glancing stealthily over at Sayuri for posture in case it was required for this to work. She held out her hand and concentrated, wondering if she needed to will the bottle to move with her mind or focus her thoughts through her hand.
The girl was almost too focused which might lead to some odd stares as her posture betrayed her futile intentions to move the bottle telepathically. She was so intently focused on the bottle that she couldn't hear Iiname's words, words that probably would have made her laugh again if she hadn't been so blindly focused.
Then came the boisterous ringing of the fire alarm. It threw Shiro out of her mode of concentration so fast she mistakenly released a small amount of Reiatsu. The spark flew from her hand, striking the bottle and pushing it into the far wall on the other side of the table, bouncing once against its surface before falling to the floor with a clatter. The force of her shock sent Shiro, chair and all, tumbling to the floor as well.
"...Ow..." Shiro moaned, a dull pain rocking the back of her head. Pulling herself up to a sitting position on the floor Shiro reached for where her head had been struck, groaning again. Iiname's shouting brought Shiro back to her senses and she blushed. She couldn't believe she'd tried to do something so foolish. Sayuri said Fullbringers could do it but she'd foolishly tried to do it herself thinking she might be a Fullbringer too.
"It's the fire alarm...We should probably get ready to leave the building shouldn't we?" Shiro looked to Sayuri, she wasn't familiar with this school's evacuation planning.

“That is due to the state of peace.” A sharp glaze had been made towards the lizard, her words held more meaning than she desired to give off and she wasn’t going to be the one to admit, the darkest truth, how heartless and unkind she truly was and could be. Possibly, that was her opinion and what she viewed herself as… A monster or a beast. So.. She became quiet with her hues lowering themselves to the table, her hands and for the moment, she could see the impression upon her hands, the crimson and the scars. Things that were no longer there in reality, but to her hues, it was a feeling and memory she would not forget.
Shiro was an innocent and sweet girl, with a painful experience and despite being naive, which was something that annoyed Sayuri quite a bit—There was something she liked. Maybe, she wanted to be like her brother and preserve something within Shiro. She couldn’t tell. “Oh.” Her attention hadn’t been gone, but she turned her hues back to the lizard. “I am not able of such a feat.” She was unable to perform something on that scale, maybe turn it into a gas? As her hand went to gesture, she paused to look to Shiro. She was like a mirror or mime, she hated mirrors, so Shiro was a mime instead!
As her tongue wiggled to form a collection of words, without a doubt aimed to Shiro, she was cut off by a sound—Mother. Fucking. Fire. Alarm. Impacting straight into those delicate eardrum, Sayuri sunk a bit into her seat as her head canted to the opposite direction of the alarm. No. Never mind, her whole body leaned in the opposite direction of the alarm. With her wiggling fingers, the bubbles of soda was gestured towards the sink and she motioned into standing up, her hands fled to her pockets and she pulled out two little objects. Those went straight into her ears, her hands motioned her loose bits of hair to reveal her ears holding a sharp point and adjusted her hair right back.
“I do not recall an evacuation drill today. So. I will treat this seriously.” She said to the lizard and Shiro, getting herself up and walking over to the door they entered from—The teacher wasn’t there either. Once she entered the room, she moved beyond the round table to the window, which she opened. “This way.” She said. Hallway of noisy students? Hell no. Check and window please. It was a large window and Sayuri went first, with a small one and a half drop to the ground, with the view of the parking lot beyond it. Where students may or may not be running to. She adjusted herself and offered out her hand for Shiro, if she needed it.
“It was a nice try, Shiro.” She was talking about the soul communication attempt. Oh yes, she wasn’t going to let this embarrassment slide.
Iiname's head tilted as Shiro knocked herself back and on her rump at the screaming noise of this fire alarm. "Are you ok?" He'd ask looking over the edge of the table. Shiro would speak of running from the screeching monster of the wall. Sayuri too seemed to have the same reaction to the bell that he seemed to be having.
"Drill?" Iiname would ask the pink haired wonder. "Like a combat drill?" He'd ask as the girl went to move. To say he was confused was an understatement. Sayuri would move and so would he...though not toward the windo, to Shiro in an attempt to help her up. "Come wise Shiro, mighty Sayuri has a plan to vanquish this new foe of screaming metal."
This....school....place seemed to be the most bizarre torture arena that he'd ever been to. Why would humans send their kids here? He wondered if Theo knew that Shiro was a part of this system. It was very strange to him. Not even lizard kind put their spawn through such trials. Tho....it did seem to make these two stronger for ones so young. Hmmm.... maybe there was something to this school after all.... And with that Iiname too would move toward the window, perching there in wait for Shiro to follow.
"Thanks" Shiro reached for Sayuri's helping hand. "Awawawa...!?" Her face flushed deep crimson at the other girl's mischievous comment, causing her to nearly slip on the linoleum floor even as Sayuri helped pull Shiro to her feet. "Please forget that you saw that." Shiro pleaded. She thought she'd been discreet but apparently she'd been far more obvious than intended and could feel the heat rising in her face.
"It's an alarm to alert us to the building being on fire..." Shiro scooped up Iiname once she was solidly back on her feet, attempting to distract herself from the overwhelming embarrassment currently coursing through her veins. "This kind of drill would be more like a practice or procedure in case the real thing were to actually happens." Shiro followed Sayuri to the window. "The window? Shouldn't we use the normal way?" Shiro cocked her head in confusion. If it was just a practice drill then there was no reason to go out through the window. And even if it weren't, Shiro figured the closest door exit would make the most sense. Her thoughts pondered but her actions didn't argue as she passed Iiname over to Sayuri in order to get him out the window first.
She still couldn't help but smile at Iiname's bizarre commentary that accompanied their actions and the new words he struggled to interpret and understand.
