Passing the torch[invite]

He'd feel the pain before he'd see the first blow. He was used to this feeling. It had happened many times before. Oh how he was going to rend Apollo for this lack of information on this human pet.

A noise like a sigh would pass beyond scaled lips as he felt the second blow coming. He HATED when this happened...

The second blow would send him into two pieces, each going to opposite sides of the bed. Tail portion being slung into the wall on the right, and head portion being sent skidding across the floor on the left.

It was a snake...not a wolf....and not a bat....but a snake. Only her creator would be able to describe what the reaction that that strange deception of her eyes would play out.

Kludde's eyes would stare at Shiro in annoyance before blue glowing orbs began to dim. Why did hero's always do this? Go to hacking and slashing at him like it'd help?

Well it never did help, and only made it very hard for him to pull himself together after his blood lust was sasiated. Shiro would begin to find cutting him....hadn't really made things better for her.

Reality was, it would be worse. Where once was one Kludde corpse was...seven more of the same beast sprang forth. Well actually it would depend on which end she'd be looking at.

Three from the head portion seemed to split open the skull of the beast she'd just cut into and launch themselves with way too surprising speed at her form on the bed.

Four more from the tail portion moved out from the tail. Though these were poised silently, recoiling then launching themselves into motion. Two retained their wolf form, and the other two shifted. One going skyward in the shape of a raven and the other diving back under the bed in the shape of a frog. The two wolves meanwhile too went for a better position on the bed, one going left and one going right.

Silence, once a friend was out the window considering how much noise she'd probably just caused with that attack of her's. He'd have to kill her quickly before the arrancar came to see what the noise was about.

One wolf maw went for arm holding the sword, one went for her torso, one went for her throat, and the last went for the other arm.

Meanwhile downstairs, Theo would find a very perturbed Goddess of night frowning at him once he'd round a corner. "You really need to wisen up Achilles..."

Surprise! Followed by an order. The familiar voice of her teacher sent her into action and she immediately set her back to his, facing the forces in front of her. Theo's presence was a welcomed relief but if this was another of his tests then she'd likely need to figure out how to deal with this self duplicating beast.

Her power was like lightning, something strangely akin to what she might think to be Thor's power or in more modern terms, like Pikachu's. Waves of thunder. Pikachu's Thunderwave! Despite her ridiculous thought process on how it could work, Shiro decided to try it. If destroying this thing was what had caused it to multiply in the first place then all she needed to do to subdue it was prevent it from being able to do anything at all. Something like a paralyzing bolt of electricity for instance.

With a mere instant to react before the remaining beasts struck home, She'd need to act fast, focus hard, and pray to the gods her thought process wasn't in vain. In the instant of impact Shiro closed her eyes. Though she could feel a surge of energy come from her she could not be certain of it's effects while her eyes were sealed.

From whichever angles he could still see a beast approaching Shiro from, Theocelese would witness the all too familiar bolts of electricity. Similar in state to the arena she'd produced, but far more akin to tendrils lashing out. With a speed similar to that of his own bala, the tendrils sought out and struck each creature, entangling them each within a net of electricity. Their advance seemingly halted.

Shiro dared to look. She pressed her back closer to Theo's as her eyes opened to a beast just inches from her face. It seemed to be struggling within midair, that is until Shiro noticed it was her own electrified powers which held the monster at bay. A deep sigh released itself from Shiro, Her focus unshaken though her heart was racing.
