Located in a very specific building in a very specific district of the 320 Rukongai Districts... The
monument consists of six concentric circles, totaling a width of twenty four feet in diameter or twelve feet in radius from the center. There are twelve pillars on the outside of the monument that are four feet thick, nine feet tall, and cylindrical in shape. Each pillar has the first name of a specific individual engraved on them, those names being, in exact order: Michino, Haan, Shizuka, Kuromi, Mikoto, Jun, Hiro, Inuzashi, Akiyama, Soujiro, Saito, and Miyuki. The first step is five six inches off the ground, and two feet wide. The second step is five inches above the first, the third is five inches above that; and, both are two feet across. The fourth step is twelve feet long and angled at fifteen degrees. The fifth step is five inches above the fourth, which is three feet and five inches above the third due to the incline. The sixth step is a six foot wide circle that is, once again, five inches above the last step.
In the middle of the arrangement is a fifteen foot tall pillar that is four feet across. There is two feet between each corner and the sides of the circle. The pillar is square at the bottom, and at the fourteen foot mark (the last foot of the pillar) it becomes a pyramid. The name engraved on all four sides of the pillar is Haruka. The entire monument, every pillar and step, is made from white marble that has been polished to a reflective shine. Leading from the front of the monument is a walkway made from white marble, that has also been polished. The walk way is made of 1 foot wide, three foot long, and six inch thick slabs of white marble. There is a five inch drop for each step. The steps are made to spiral around the hill, ending at the bottom where the beginning of Mitsuoki's village begins. When raining, the steps become slightly slippery due to the extremely smooth surface. A kido enchantment protects the marble from being scuffed and scratched by others walking on them. Every tenth step has a single incense burner next to it that is a 6 inch wide/thick, four foot tall block of polished black marble with a bowl cut in the middle.
Training Grounds
Only reacting to a very specific individual's Spirit Pressure -those beings, being Mitsuoki Kumagai, Shiro Inazuma, and Akane Kumagai- all twelve panels of the largest ring in the monument -third from the middle, fourth from the outside- will lift up like some sort of hatch. The end closest to the center of the monument lifts upwards to form 12 walls. A light blue energy collects in the gaps between each panel to complete the wall, making it one large circle that would protect those inside from being seen, as well as from incoming attacks.
Once the hatch is opened, the individual will be staring down at a 65 foot deep, 8 foot wide, ring around the central 2 circles. The walls of this ring are made of a glowing, light blue, metal-like substance appropriately named "Soul Steel" by its discoverer. At the bottom of this ring is hundreds of 3 foot tall spikes that will impale whoever decides to jump.
The central pillar acts as the focusing point for a hidden lock that has no physical key. By using Reiryoku and Kido together, the individual must put in the correct sequence for 130 different locks, each lock consisting of 81 options. None of the combinations form geometric shapes, patterns, or easily guessable sequences. There is also no way of knowing if the correct sequence has been put in, until all 130 sequences are in and the individual attempts to work the mechanism. In total, there are 21,060 possible combinations, including geometric shapes, patterns, and easily guessed sequences.
Each lock consists of 81 Spirit Particle Stone pins that must be individually raised or lowered to create the correct sequence.
Once all 130 locks have been correctly put in, the user must keep them held in place while also using their Kido to activate seals inside the lock, causing the mechanism inside to begin turning. The first step to the training base will expand, moving from the end closest to the central pillar to the outside wall of the ring. Once that step has reached halfway across the ring (4ft), the second step will begin moving. Once the second step has reached 2ft out of the central column, the third step will begin moving. From then on, once each step reaches the 2ft mark, the next step in line will begin expanding towards the wall, until all 130 steps have expanded. As these steps are all arranged as part of a cylindrical structure, the steps spiral around the central column.
Moving down the steps, one would notice that the spikes mentioned before simply do not exist, nor are there holes for them to come from. You will now be facing a portal that's 10 feet tall and 7 feet wide. The insides of the portal appear as a shiny, black, undulating liquid. Stepping through this portal will lead you straight to the inside of the Garganta, forever falling to your demise.
The inside of one of the walls contains a hidden lock that consists of 10 concentric circles, each with their own specific seal that they align with. Each ring must be moved through the use of Kido. The first ring will turn as normal; but, all of the other rings will cause one or two of the others to turn when they are worked. There is no sound to go off of to know when the seals are aligned, nor is there any key or legend to use to know which rings turn which other ring. It requires special training from the man who made the lock to open. Once the lock has been successfully undone, the black liquid will fade to reveal a room that is 500 meters in all directions, with several smaller rooms attached.
The expanse appears as a room with light blue walls made of the same Soul Steel as the walls from the stairwell leading down. The ground is some sort of sand-like material, but will give off the same reishi as the walls due to them being the same substance.
With the aid of a specialized alchemizing construct of Mitsuoki's own creation, who is vastly more capable of processing the appropriate data to perform such a task, the walls and floors may be altered in such a way that they can recreate almost any environment for training purposes or for general relaxation.
Gol, the Reiryoku Golem
Standing nine feet tall and being proportionately sound, Gol is a golem made of Mitsuoki's Reiryoku energy. He has the ability to perform alchemic actions, all of which following the law of equivalent exchange. He can turn iron ore into an iron ingot without needing to heat it up since he can separate the two, producing a block of stone as well as a block of pure iron. He may do the exact same thing with any other material, so long as he has the required amount of material for it. He may also form materials from the air, such as combining Hydrogen and Oxygen to create water.
His most notable use is that he acts as the central intelligence for Mitsuoki's training room. He is able to process information rapidly, and send his power out over a vast distance. Through the use of several devices in the floor and walls of the training arena, his range is expanded to cover the entire room. Gol is able to make the room into any non-snowy terrain required for training, as well as create targets and training thralls. The training thralls he can create are controlled directly by him, but have no abilities beyond charging at you and trying to punch. They're better for target practice than increasing your martial arts.
Aside from controlling the room's systems, Gol has very few uses. His large build makes him highly resistant to damage; but, it also makes him quite slow. He's completely unable to speak, and communicates with deep groans, grunts, and an occasional huffing sound. The five lights on his face change color between Green, Yellow, and Red as a secondary form of communication.
Workshop
Mitsuoki's personal workshop. The largest object in the room is hidden behind a massive, thick wall with an equally thick door. From the teleportation wall, facing the opposite end of the room, this object is on the far side of the room in the left corner. There's yellow paint on the floor instructing others to not touch the wall while the 'Pressure Smelter' is in use.
The Pressure Smelter is a specific device that Mitsuoki himself created for the purpose of heating raw materials to their boiling point while also putting them under roughly the same amount of pressure as being halfway to the earth's core, which is more than enough to create a diamond. It can only do this for a few hours at best, and holds up to 2 cubic meters of material at a time. Naturally, after the pressurization, these materials would be significantly less massive. There's no way of removing impurities from materials in the Pressure Smelter while it's in use, so only already purified materials can be put in. The main function of the Pressure Smelter is to force otherwise incompatible materials to fuze, and to change the density of other materials that are already fuzed, therefore changing their utility in the creation process.
Other than the pressure smelter, there are tools on a wall rack that has each tool labeled. These range from chisels and hammers, to more advanced tools like ratchets. There are no air compressors or air-compressor-reliant tools in the workshop, since Mitsuoki is currently unable to make a stable enough electrical source to power such things. There are, however, rotary power tools that use reiatsu as a propellant to turn the moving parts. These are limited to saws, grinders, and other similar devices- nothing mechanically complex.
An anvil, located in the near-left corner can be used for working metal. A set of wire brushes, hammers, and tongs located next to it can further aid smithing endeavours. A workbench near the anvil has a series of measuring tools, a roll of blue-print paper, and various cutting and engraving tools to go with it. This can help with the more subtle things that a hammer and anvil could never accomplish.
