Plot details: In an attempt to follow up on a case involving attacks on children and consumption of souls, Ceira and Meara end up splitting up to find two possible locations of where the missing souls could be. Both locations, however, are infested with Hollows and the immense and abnormal spiritual activity seemed not to go unnoticed by the Soul Society. Two Shinigami and a Quincy, of all possible team-ups, end up meeting the twins at their respective locations, but the sheer number of Hollow alone are enough to topple the split groups. The Quincy is struck down, and a Shinigami not to far to follow. When the other is saved by an injured Meara and the situation becomes desperate, one Shinigami follows the other in transferring their remaining energy into the twins. With their added powers, the twins are able to conquer the infestation, though not without tremendous loss. During the fight, Ceira becomes infected and in a berserker-mind-state, continues to lash out at any and everything around her, causing destruction and loss of life. When Meara is finally able to wake her sister, Ceira becomes horrified at what happened, having been awake and unable to stop herself. Weeks pass as Ceira succumbs to alcohol and seclusion while Meara does her best to distract herself with continuing to pursue the case. For backup to help Ceira, as she's unable to break through her sister's personal walls, Meara calls in Aiko, detective of a police force in a neighboring city and Ceira's old partner. Aiko is finally able to break Ceira to confess everything she's bottled up, though weeks of drinking and perhaps something else, begins to finally take its toll on Ceira's body... and she's rushed to the nearest medical facility.
Note: I figure only one of my two characters will likely get points and since Ceira is more of the focus toward the second half of the thread, I figure if I'm forced to pick only one, then I would side with Ceira's advancement in plot points.
