Here she was back to wandering the streets of Karakura, though this time there was something different about her. Now she was much stronger than the last time she was here though she was hiding that very well at the moment. The most obvious difference for anyone that knew her would be the missing limb from her torso. Her left sleeve flapped in the wind as it folded just beneath her shoulder where her stub was. Unconsciously her right hand reached over and rubbed the proof of the cost she had to pay to overcome her most recent trial. Still she couldn't just sit here and dwell on it while feeling sorry for herself. She did tell a certain someone that she would kick it into high gear from now on, with that being said she needed to get out of this town. Right now she wasn't currently feeling the idea of joining the angel squad, so she supposed for the time being the Gotei would be smarter choice.
"I could get Mayuri to make me a new arm, but I don't trust the son of a bitch." Though she supposed he didn't bug her eye, which was unusual when it came to him. Perhaps she would look around a bit first, if she didn't find something within the next two weeks she'd head back to Soul Society and just get it done there. Hopefully she wouldn't come to regret that decision should it come down to it. "Now, where to start?"
{Item}Monban no Me [Gatekeeper’s Eye] - A prototype collaboration between the 12th division and kidoshu following the events of Aizen Sosuke’s rebellion. In order to better police travel between the three worlds, the shinigami sought a method to track garganta, with the intention to tune the Seireitei’s barrier to permanently prevent it being breached from the outside by hollow-based sources. The “gatekeeper’s eye” is actually a misnomer, as the kido formula and physical enhancements do not actually affect the user’s vision, but rather require attachment to nerves close to the brain to function properly. Hollowfied cells are also utilized, which have the unfortunate side-effect of warping the eye’s appearance and tainting the optic nerves. It is advised that users wear something over the eye to prevent headaches and vertigo, as a hollows vision, while only slightly different from a shinigami’s, clashes with the visual information from the other eye. This eye gives the user the following abilities: First, the user can sense garganta being opened in a massive radius around them, though pinpointing the exact location takes time. Second, using the temporary dimensional “scar” left behind by garganta, which can be seen using the eye, the user can re-tear a recent garganta open. Lasty, because of the tampering done to user’s nerves, a special extrasensory perception develops, described as almost identical to that used by jigokucho. This allows the user to navigate the senkaimon and precipice dimensions without recourse.
{Kido Specializations}Eishōhaki (詠唱破棄, "Incantation Abandonment"): is the skill in which a Kidō practitioner skips using a spoken incantation completely, but it drastically weakens the spell. This is applied as a 1-2 tier drop in the spells power depending on ones Kidou mastery, 2 for Beginner up to Advanced, and 1 for Mastered and above. However this also lowers the spells cooldown to match the lowered tier, to a minimum of Tier I.e.g A Tier IV Kidou be cast with Eishohaki as a tier II, its cooldown will also be the same at 0 posts.
Zen Sanshutsu Eishohaki (全産出詠唱破棄, Full Yield Incantation Abandonment): A specialisation of the arts that enables you to unleash the full Tier power of a Kidou without saying the incantation. Kidoshu members are able to do this by default, with how well they can do this dictated by their Kidoshu Perk Mastery. For other Shinigami to achieve the same effect, they must train each Kidou spell separately without incantations. [The spells noted to have this effect must be marked with a * on your profile. Ex-Kidoshu members can ignore this]
Nijū Eishō (二重詠唱, "Twofold Incantation"): A class of Kidō Incantation where the Kidō practitioner mixes the incantations of two entirely separate Kidō spells together to save time and confuse opponents simultaneously. Using this will allow players to mix and match two separate incantations and fire the Kidou spells back to back, not at the same time.

[attr="class","aritext"]“Thank you for the business!” Yelled a man over the counter as Arashi exited the establishment. A sign over the door read ‘Pasties Pastries’ an odd name for a pastry shop in the middle of Karakura. It was some sort of new building that just popped up overnight. Arashi had decided to pay them a visit to check out their food and see if there was something different about them. He came walking out with a small brown bag filled with goodies. In his free hand he already had a small cupcake unwrapped and within seconds was devouring the sweet, chocolatey goodness. The texture of the cake was soft, moist, and most importantly it had a strong chocolate taste. It wasn’t overbearing though and made him want more. He was truly a fat kid at heart.
As he walked down the street he saw something peculiar. A woman that was a bit shorter than him walking down with a missing arm. He wasn’t going to pay it much mind, but he also noticed that there was a familiar sense of pressure radiating off her. Nothing that would be dangerous of course but it was enough to get him intrigued. They happened to be walking towards each other which would work to his benefit. As they got closer he accidentally tripped into her to start a conversation. “Oh, look out!” he bellowed as he fell forward at her.

As she walked through the street not bothering to avoid anyone because she simply phased through them she became lost in her thought. The chatter of the crowd around her droned on and on and seemed to drown out anything else, eventually becoming white noise. She'd become so lost in her own thoughts that she hadn't sensed the reiatsu signature right in her face until he was literally in her face. She instinctively did a half step and swung around to his left letting him fall by her, her right hand extended itself and she tried to catch him by the shoulder from behind to avoid him falling face first.
She wasn't sure why she was doing this, this man was a shinigami, she should be running right now. Though this could be one of her better chances to gain favour with them, so running was probably going to be one of her last options in this case. "Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going, are you ok?" She would ask regardless if she managed to catch him in time or not, either way starting a conversation and getting information was her best bet right now. If need be, she could probably get away from this guy, but from the feel of his reiatsu... out right beating him would still be a challenge, even with her powers.
"My name is Shiori, Shiori Sasaki." She introduced herself and waited for him to respond in kind.

[attr="class","aritext"]He let himself be caught by her as he felt her hand bracing him. Arashi stood back up while she begun to introduce herself and just listened. “I’m Arashi.” He stated briefly before inhaling one of his sweets he ordered. “It’s nice to meet you.” He smiled kindly as he shifted his weight. “So, are you from around these parts?” He coyly asked. He masked the question with an almost oblivious tone. Arashi could feel her pressure even better now but wanted to see what her response would be. She should have felt his now as well. It was obvious both came from the same place.
As he waited for a response her extended his hand to her with the bag. “By the way if you’d like one?” A sweet aroma wafted out of the bag towards her. It had to be tempting like a siren at sea. He had enough sweets in there for about five people and considering he was just one person he wouldn’t be able to eat them all in one sitting. He would try though if she declined the offer. Arashi was truly a fat child at heart who wanted nothing more than to eat all of the food.

Her hand grasped his shoulder firmly, yet with a gentle touch as she pulled him back from his fall. She let him go after he caught his balance, properly introducing herself once he turned to face her. He responded in kind giving his own name, Arashi. She glanced at his white hair and figured the name was meant to be a pun. His personality didn't seem to be one for an overly aggressive person. "From the area," she responded with a very vague answer to his question. So far it seemed he hadn't noticed that she was a vizard, that or her was ignoring the fact. Either way it didn't matter to her currently.
"What about you?"
She looked down as he extended a hand with a bag of treats in its grasped, offering her one. Shiori reached out with her own hand and dipped into the bag, pulling out something that resembled a donut with chocolate icing on the top it. She brought it to her lips and took a bite, not only did she taste chocolate, but a burst of custard filled her mouth and drowned her taste buds in it's sweet thickness.
"Mmmm..." The sound left her lips before she even had a chance to realize what was happening. She blushed unconsciously, embarrassed at herself. "Sorry, it's just that this tastes really good." She took another bite before speaking again. "So let's be real, why is someone like you hanging around here?" She couldn't sense any hollows, nor did she feel, hear or see any other disturbances. So just what was it that brought this shinigami around here. Perhaps he just wanted sweets? She wondered this as she looked down at the delicious pastry in her hand.

[attr="class","aritext"]After she begun to speak the man took out a doughnut glazed on top with chocolate icing and covered in sprinkles. He ate it in a few bites while listening to her speak. As she finished he wiped his mouth quickly with a napkin from inside the bag before he answered. “Oh, I’m from here.” He smiled softly when he heard her let out a joyful noise due to the taste of her sweet. As she started to blush he noticed some of the more delicate features she had in the face. She was a looker, however he had to focus on the conversation, or he’d be in trouble again.
“It’s no problem at all, enjoy it.” He said as he shuffled out of the way of the bystanders walking by. One of them giving him a dirty look for standing in the way. Arashi maneuvered over to the wall of an establishment and placed his back against it. He placed his right foot backwards on the wall as he looked around them quietly taking in the scenery. “Someone like me?” He said repeating her question to himself. “Well, I lived here before all my life and being I recently returned to living here after all the time away.”
He looked at her with a softer expression than before. Arashi was trying to appear more innocent in nature and not how he truly could be. “As far as someone like me, I assume you have figured out what I am, and I’m sure you know I can tell what you are. Don’t get me wrong though I’m completely friendly here. Let’s just say that I’m one of the more permanent residents who doesn’t belong there anymore.” He emphasized the part about belonging to another place. It was true that he did not belong to Soul Society anymore but he was going to hide the reasoning for now.

He answered in the same vague fashion that she did, normally it would annoy her but this made her laugh on the inside a little. As the conversation carried on and she tried her donut, making the indecent sound at the wonderful taste it left in her mouth. She couldn't help but notice that his gaze had become just a tad bit sharper than it had been before. It wasn't long before they both noticed they were standing in the way of other pedestrians and where normally Shiori wouldn't care because she would simply phase through them, she moved aside because she was talking to Arashi.
She didn't catch herself until she had her back against the wall, standing to the left of him. She threw her second question to him, pretty much dropping all pretence and still he answered her vaguely. Stating that he'd been there for some time, left and then came back. Well if he didn't want to divulge his full history to her, that was fine. She was about to move onto another tactic when he revealed that he was indeed a shiigami and that he knew what she was. Him admitting he was a friendly didn't do much to make her drop her guard, but she at least wasn't nervous around him anymore.
"Well, we both know why I can't be there, what's your excuse?" she asked jokingly while taking another bite of her donut.

[attr="class","aritext"]“Oh, you know the usual.” He grinned a little bit. “I supposedly betrayed them and caused a big scene. Truthfully, I just went undercover for them, but something went wrong. I haven’t been in contact in awhile and I kind of like it here. It’s not so bad being on my own.” He looked over to her as a few men passed by glancing at them. “I think maybe we could take this conversation somewhere else though? Maybe somewhere less crowded, just in case.” He was certainly the friend in this situation but that did not mean an enemy would stay away.
They both had something about them that could attract a hollow, a quincy, or a bount to their location. He had a few people on his shit list that could pop up at any moment which would ruin the moment. “So, what do you say?” He asked as he pushed off the wall. If they were to go anywhere it should be a small café or potentially a bar. Arashi had a few places in his mind as to where they could go but he would also be open to her suggestions. He plopped another sweet into his mouth taking the time to savor the flavor as he waited for a response.

Betrayal? His brazen confession had her somewhat taken aback. She wasn't quite sure how to take it, especially while he had a huge smile on his face. Then came the rest of the story of how he was playing double agent. So he was a spy, but why would he tell her that? A spy was only useful if one didn't know you were a spy. She now looked at him with pursed lips as she nodded her head slowly as if he were a crazy person. "Usual, huh?"
She supposed in some ways her own situation was similar. She had been branded a traitor simply because she didn't choose death, but things were different now, she had the option of going back to Soul Society. This one had it all along, sure it could possibly blow his cover, but if was out here blabbing about it to her it couldn't be that important to him now could it?
"Have you never thought of going back?" she asked as she followed suit, pushing off the wall and snagging another treat out of his bag in the process. He wanted to change locations, she supposed there was a park nearby that shouldn't be very occupied. She started walking, assuming he would follow her as she moved to avoid oncoming foot traffic. There walk wasn't long it took them to a large park. Nothing massive, but for the size of Karakura, it was one of the bigger ones around. Shiori made her way over to a bench and sat down, waiting to hear the shinigami's response while she munched down.

[attr="class","aritext"]He purposely ate another sweet to avoid answering the question. As they walked down the street he pointed with his left index finger at a small cafe that was locally owned. “We should go there.” He smiled back to the Shiori. As he turned to face back to the cafe he saw that a small group of children had just exited the building, running excitedly away with bags filled with sweets, and cups filled to the brim with chocolate milk. A soft smile graced his features as he remembered a time back when everything was simpler. As he came back to reality his free hand extended to open up the door. He shifted to the side to allow for her to enter first. “After you.”
Arashi saw that there was only one other person in the building besides the owners who were busy talking with one another. “To answer the question, I haven’t considered it. I feel like I am more useful being a freelancer.” He finally replied. As he entered into the building he spotted a small booth far in the back that looked like it would provide the best support. “What about you? Also, let’s sit over there.” He pointed in the direction of the booth while he waited for her to lead the way.

He popped another treat into his mouth before pointing out another establishment he thought it would be a good idea to check out. Shiori was no fool, she could tell that he was avoiding her question, though she supposed she wouldn't push it. She watched as he smiled at the small group of children running out of the cafe, his expression seeming very soft and genuine. The female vizard herself had never truly developed any emotional attachment to the humans and wondered what it must be like to feel so strongly towards them, at least from what she saw Arashi seemed to have some connection.
She glanced up with a slight smile and nodded as she entered the cafe, "Thank you," she said as she walked pass.
It was rather empty in the building, only one other person being there besides the employees. Then finally came her answer, not far from what she was expecting. He did seem to be more the free spirit type. "Yeah, that fits," she would say as she pulled up a chair and sat down. Crossing a leg over the other she made herself comfortable, "I myself like playing by my own rules, but I'm also not in this situation by choice. I did enjoy my time with the Gotei." She paused for a bit, raising her one hand, tapping her index finger to her chin. "Yeah, I wouldn't say no to going back, but I know my worth." If she went back, she would have some demands that would need to be met. More than simply forgiving her for not choosing to die.
