Her home. The first place Shiro could think to go after being released from the hospital. Though her arm was still sore and her right eye still throbbed with pain, nothing hurt more than her heart at the sight of her family's ruined house. At some point during Shiro's absence it'd been wrapped up in caution tape. Large sections of the front wall and even part of the second floor lay strewn across the ground in the front yard. The foundation that remained looked as if it could give at any moment.
Shiro clenched her empty hands into fists and she fought hard to hold back the tears welling up inside of her. This was reality. An undeniable proof to Shiro that what she'd experienced before had not been just a dream. Proof that her parents really were gone and that they likely wouldn't be coming back to get her.
Taking a cautious step forward, Shiro reached for the front door. Sure there was a large gap in the wall and she could have just stepped through it but it still didn't feel real to her somehow. The young teen pushed the door in with a loud creak, its top hinge, damaged from the earlier encounter, failed to hold the swinging weight. Splintering wood sent the damaged door falling to an odd angle as it tore its own hinge out from the bottom. Boards groaned, complaining underneath the weight of Shiro's footsteps. There were no lights inside the house, though it mattered little with the noonday sunlight beaming straight through the nonexistent wall.
A long, choked sigh escaped Shiro's lungs. She'd given up on holding back tears by this point, letting them run freely down her cheeks and off the tip of her chin. Her home, her parents, and her livelihood were gone and she didn't know if there was anything she could even do about it. Her heart heavy from fatigue, Shiro passed through the kitchen, into the hallway and up the stairs to her room.
Shiro’s room was located towards the back of the house. Her parent’s room sat near the front where most of the devastation had occurred. Aside from the layer of dust that now covered the surfaces, Shiro’s room remained exactly as she’d left it the night of the attack. Crouching down under the bed the teen pulled out a wooden Kendo sword, she was rough on her training swords so often kept spares hidden around her room. The one she’d protected herself with wasn’t going to do her any good now, she’d noticed its splintered remains scattered all over the living room floor. She wondered how she could have sustained nothing more than a simple bone fracture if whatever hit her before was capable of completely obliterating a solid wooden kendo sword like that.
Something strange caught Shiro’s eyes. Waving her sword in hand in front of her she noticed a strange aura of sorts floating up from her sword arm. Waving the wood back and forth she noticed an inconsistency in its glow. Whenever she moved her arm over to her left side the aura seemed to fade and vanish. When she returned her arm to the right it would reappear. Experimenting, Shiro closed her right eye. The aura disappeared. Opening her right eye and closing her left, the aura reappeared.
A chill ran down Shiro’s spine. W-What is this…!?” Shiro’s eyes went wide. The aura appeared but it was clear that only her right eye was seeing this aura her body was producing. ”Could it be… from that time…?” Shiro pondered but didn’t have time to think on it as something large and very sinister feeling came crashing in through her bedroom window.

Senta had been in the house drinking. What the hell else was he meant to be doing. That bastard fullbringer had stolen his zanpakuto. The shinigami investigating hadn't let him leave back to the Seireitei, and so while the kerfuffle of fixing the street after the hollow attack had occurred, Senta had slipped away quietly, nicked a bottle of cognac from a liquor store and had found the first vaguely dilapidated looking house and threw himself down to drink. He was some quarter of the way through, the burn of the amber liquid down his throad making him feel truly alive, when he sensed two things. Firstly, a little baby spiritually aware human, and secondly a hollow that was determined to go and eat it. Senta cursed to himself in a long string of colourful swears that included some choice words from Blodeuwen's language.
He threw himself down through the ceiling where he'd been sat feeling sorry for himself, and dived across the room, pushing Shiro out of the way of the hollow's gaping maw, and landing on top of her. Uuuuuuuuh oh god she was just a girl. She smelled pretty nice too. Bah! No Senta had had enough of humans today. He got to his feet, hoping that the alcohol wouldn't kick in for at least the length of time it took to take care of this hollow.
"Three chimes, rattling bones, the savage Raijin lets loose his fearsome roar!" he cast, ensuring that Shiro was close enough to him that she wouldn't be struck by the crackling electric blow of the kido. "Bakudo number fourteen... Hibiku!" he cast, and a dome of electricity erupted outwards from Senta's outstretched hands, simultaneously protecting them and sending the hollow skidding backwards and out once more through the window. Senta panted, out of breath. It wouldn't hold the beast off for long- he needed to save this girl while he still had a chance. Would she even be able to see him though? Could she see the hollow? Most likely not... He would go towards her and try and pick her up, calling in backup from his Soul Reaper phone as he did so. She'd probably not be able to see the shinigami and have no idea what was happening to her.

Shiro stood motionless, Kendo sword in hand, staring blankly at the creature that came crashing through the window. Like her own aura, the creature seemed to be something she could only see with her right eye. Awe and confusion raged through Shiro’s brain well before the more reasonable feelings of fear and reaction kicked in at the sight of the monster she beheld. The creature’s massive jaws were mere inches from snapping down on Shiro when a sudden force pushed her to the ground, taking her breath away.
Shiro stared up into the face of what appeared to be another human laying on top of her. He seemed to be blushing as he stood up to face the monster, or perhaps was it the alcohol she smelled on his breath, Shiro couldn’t really tell. She had little time to ponder his appearance before witnessing a spectacle of lightning play from the man’s hands, sending the grotesque creature careening back out the window and down onto the lawn below.
Just with anything one cannot see with both eyes, this man too appeared to be only partly there. Closing her right eye to confirm, Shiro noted how his visage vanished within the view of her still spiritually inept left eye. Fear washed over the teen. Was he perhaps the same as that creature he’d just shoved out the window? Were they both perhaps vying for control over a prey they wanted to keep for themselves? With both eyes now open, Shiro could see the man, as if a ghostly visage stood before her. He approached, seeking to grab her and carry her away?
Fear converted to resolve, the resolve to defend herself from anything this stranger might try to do to her. Gripping the Kendo sword in both hands she resolved to speak to the man. He seemed capable of speech so she reasoned he might listen to words. She wasn’t so sure about the other creature though…
”D-don’t come any closer!” Shiro yelled at the man while brandishing her sword. ”I don’t know what you are but I won’t let you e-eat me!” The young teen backed away slowly towards the door to her room, resolving herself to escape should he attempt to attack her. Was it just her imagination or was the man starting to become more solid? Shiro wasn’t going to take the risk of closing either eye this time to check.
Shiro, unknowingly focusing her reiatsu, alerted the recovering hollow outside to her increasingly obvious presence.
Ahh god damn shit for brains. Of course she could bastard see him, and of course she was going to be a little bitch about it. He grit his teeth and sighed. He couldn't blame her, not really. He was still pissed off that he got his zanpakuto stolen by that damn fullbringer; Humans were not his favourite right now. She'd backed away towards the door, leaving Senta not wanting to turn his back on either her, of the gaping hole where the hollow would likely be coming back any moment now. He was running out of time, and with no zanpakuto he would have to think and act quickly.
"I ain't gonna eat ya dammit," he said, holding his hands in the air as a display of submission, "but that thing will. And if we don't run it'll eat me too, hustle!" he told her, feeling her tighten her reiatsu and cursing internally. He could hear the hollow recovering outside. "We need to get you away from here, so I can kill that thing." Senta told her, with much more confidence than he actually possessed. With no zanpakuto, and only a handful of weak kido to utilise otherwise, he was basically screwed. He should have just let Vetur kill him earlier, then he wouldn't be in this mess now.
No. Senta had got this far dammit. He was no Eiji or Yuki- he was certainly no Blodeuwen, but he was a Hirashi, and a fighter. He'd get them out of this alive, even if he had to resort to Hakuda.
"I promise I'll keep you safe." he said to the girl, who must have been terrified.
That was good to hear. Whoever this man was he apparently wanted to help. As he hadn't made any further attempt to approach her, Shiro lowered her Kendo sword, shifting it to her right hand. Reassured by his words, realization then crept over Shiro's face. Had it been one of those grotesque creatures that'd attacked her before? Was the one that attacked just now perhaps the same one that'd attacked her before? It could even be what had taken her parents away...
Shiro tightened her grip on the lowered kendo sword. If the creature was in fact the culprit then she couldn't just let things be as they were. Shiro stared the man in the eyes, his visage now strangely solid compared to just a moment ago. "I can't run... Shiro stated bluntly. "If that thing is what you say it is and is here to eat us then that means it ate my parents." Shiro choked back the lump building up in her throat. "I have to beat it. For my parent's sake." Though she spoke with bold words Shiro wasn't sure she could beat the creature on her own, maybe running was the better option.
Shiro stepped up to the man, Tapping him on the shoulder with her Kendo sword before climbing up onto her bed. Her self imposed test proved correct, for whatever reason he seemed to be as solid as her or the floor beneath her despite his looking like a ghostly figure just moments ago. It shocked her to be able to touch a ghost but if she could physically touch him then maybe she could do the same to the monster down below. Fear began mixing with her resolve as Shiro stood on the bed looking out into the yard below. The beast lay sprawled on the ground but she could tell it was slowly returning to its feet. It would be after them again soon...
"I think we can beat this thing if we work together." Shiro stated to the man before turning to the hole and jumping out, kendo sword at the ready.
Why had she done that... this was the second floor of her house. Had she thought it would be cool to be able jump down like the hero in the first game of Darksouls to deal a devastating first blow to to the boss below? She'd never even done something like this before so why had she suddenly been so confidant...?
What felt like minutes to Shiro passed by in an instant. Words escaped her mouth subconsciously. And for a moment she thought she could see a strange explosion of seemingly magical white energy play and dance around herself as she descended. It was too late to ask questions, too late to regret. All she could do now was commit. Commit to what she'd thought in her mind had been a good idea and hope it played out better than her uncertainty was telling her it would.
The creature, having recovered it's bearings, looked up towards the hole to gauge it's re-assent but in that moment Shiro came slamming down on top of it. The creature let out a shrill shriek as the teen tumbled off the monster's body and onto the ground nearby. A noticeable crack in the hollow's bony, almost seemingly masked face appeared where Shiro's Kendo sword had struck.
A mix of emotions filled Shiro's mind. Fear, shock, wonder. She'd actually somehow made the fall without injuring herself. If she could hurt this thing then maybe, just maybe she could also defeat it. Ignoring both the strange sparking aura she now seemed to be emitting and the fact that her kendo sword was now enveloped in a strange electrical aura, Shiro quickly readied herself. The beast was going to attack and she needed to defend.

Released: HUMAN POWERS WHITE DRAGON'S DOMAIN LIGHTNING TEN NO KARUI FUNSAI
RELEASE APPEARANCE
A large electrical discharge engulfs Shiro's body. Afterward, and for as long as she remains released, Shiro's reiatsu appears strangely white and crackles with an almost electric appearance, occasionally arcing from one area of her body to another nearby area. (Shiro's release form manifests a two-handed sword of pure electricity.)
Senta wanted to scream. Why did humans have to be so stubborn!? She was just a little girl, with a boken, facing down a monster. There was nothing brave or admirable about that, did she not see? He couldn't understand why anyone would so willingly throw their life away, not for honour, not for anything. She approached him and he acted guarded, raising his hands in a hakuda stance if she felt the need to thwack him, but instead she just tapped him on the shoulder. Testing to see if he was solid? Perhaps she had only recently become spiritually aware. Where was this confidence that she could kill the monster- she had just said that it had killed her parents, why was she-oh and now she had jumped out of the window. Senta stared after her, absolutely dumbstruck at her idiocy for a second before scowling, and leaping out after her.
"Broiling black, fervent heat, be rejected! Hado number four... Byakurai!" he cast, a triumphant bolt of blue lightning shooting forth from his hands, and straight into the hollow's eyes as he leapt down on to it with an elbow drop to the stomach, before rolling off to the side nearest Shiro, bouncing quickly to her side to gain some distance from the hollow. He hadn't executed that drop quite right, but it had nearly been there. Something to work on.
"Are you out of your mind!? Why did you go and do something so stupid and dangerous?" Senta exclaimed, as the hollow, now mostly blinded, howled in pain. "Not only is jumping out of a damn building incredibly risky, but that monster- it's called a hollow- is astoundingly dangerous." he chastised, assuming an offensive stance next to her, facing the hollow. "Don't be so keen to throw your life away, kid." he told her. A plan was beginning to formulate in his mind, though he needed a little time to work through it.
Shiro watched in amazement as the Shinigami leaped out of the broken window after her, calling down lightning upon the creature she'd fallen down onto and rolled off of. Was there a bit of clumsiness in his movements? The girl couldn't tell, no one she'd ever known would have done what he or herself had just done so she had literally nothing to compare it to.
"That was amazing! What was that lightning thing you did? Can I learn it too?" Shiro exclaimed and immediately directed questions towards her newfound companion. Perhaps she felt overconfident, after all this hollow didn't feel the same as the one from before. Actually, since she'd never seen the first one to begin with she couldn't be sure if this was the same one or not.
Shiro pouted at the Shinigami's rebuke. "I-it's not like I didn't have a plan... I just kinda got caught up in the moment... The girl lied. She'd gone in headfirst, entirely throwing any concept of planning to the wind. She had been lucky nothing serious happened and she was even more happy she'd been able to land on her feet. But she wouldn't admit this fact to him lest he scold her for being straight up reckless.
"I don't plan on throwing my life away." Shiro responded matter-of-factly, retaking her defensive stance next to the shinigami and focusing her attention back to the writhing hollow before her. It may have been blinded but the creature lashed out in every direction it could, attempting desperately to hit something, anything. And strike it did. It's massive tail flailing around until it struck home. Shiro barely had time to put up her sword and block the attack, fear washing over her at the memory of last time. The girl reflexively shut her eyes, bracing for the shattering snap of her sword, the bone cracking strike that would send her to the hospital again in an unconscious mess.
It didn't happen. Cautiously opening her eyes revealed to the girl that, while the creature had attacked her with seemingly as much strength as it could muster, her sword had actually managed to block the attack. Shiro jumped back away from the hollow's reach and glanced at her sword, checking for damages. She couldn't tell if the attack had damaged it at all, a strange bluish white force of electricity seemed to flow from the weapon. In fact with the odd electricity pouring out of it, it didn't look remotely like a kendo sword at all right now.
The hollow, having found its mark, didn't wait for Shiro to realize she still had an opponent. In a frenzy the creature lurched forward, mouth agape and ready to consume the increasingly tasty reiatsu it could feel the girl exuding. Shiro's mind snapped back into the fight. The hollow's speed was too fast for her to dodge but her years of sword training instinctively showed her that the beast was full of openings. Despite this, Shiro threw logic to the wind. The Shinigami had been throwing lightning around like it was nothing and her sword kind of resembled it as well right now. Shiro held her sword out in front of her, pointing it towards the charging beast.
This would be a test, a terrible test given that if it failed then the monster would probably crush her with its massive jaws. What seemed like moments flew by. The shinigami had uttered words before releasing lightning, should she do the same? Did it even matter? Teeth of the monster, the strange lightning enveloping her sword. That was it! she would call it...!
"White Dragon's Fang!" Shiro shouted the first words that came to mind, opening her eyes to stare down the beast that charged her. Deranged and deformed but full of the determination to eat her alive. In that moment a burst of reiatsu surged forth from Shiro's sword, arcing into the form of a bolt of lightning as if called by the heavens, striking the Hollow right in its gaping mouth.
The Hollow's forward momentum failing, it crashed to the ground in front of Shiro. Sparks of electricity played around the monster's mouth, jumping from one vicious jagged tooth to another as the beast lay there twitching. Shiro's eyes were wide with amazement. She'd actually done it! what was this feeling her body produced? It felt strange and new but for some reason it didn't feel unfamiliar to her. "Erm... I can throw lightning too... apparently...? Shiro turned, a confused look played across her face as she looked to the shinigami for confirmation.
Abilities used: Name: White Dragon's Fangs (Unlearned/Untrained)

Tier: II
Type: Offensive

"That was Kido-" he began to explain. No time. "Maybe you can learn it one day." he felt bad at having upset her, and gently (not to mention slightly awkwardly) placed his hand upon her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze of reassurance. He ought to have more sympathy for the poor human. In a world far out of her depth, not really understanding anything. It just seemed really important to him right now to ensure that the girl stay alive. Saving her seemed like it might just make up for losing his asauchi.
What happened next Senta couldn't prepare for. The hollow's tail swung straight at them, and he only just about managed to leap out of the way, landing in a pile of rubbish on the other side of the street. The girl! He leapt to his feet, only to see her about to get munched on by the hollow. He wouldn't make it. There was no time! Dead.
Except Shiro seemed to exude a pulse of cracking electricity, and she struck the beast with lightning straight before her. He had to act quickly; he grabbed a loose steel pipe that had been a constituent of the refuse left on the side of the alley, and leapt forward into battle. He reinforced the pipe with his reiatsu such that it wouldn't shatter, and sent it whistling down as hard as he could onto the hollow's bony white mask. It shattered with a loud 'CRACK!' and a squelch. Well, that was one hollow whose sins wouldn't be purified by a soul-cutter's sword. It was dead, through their combined efforts. Not only that but the impact sent a jarring pain up Senta's arm, he could feel his radius completely snapped by the brute force impact. He swore loudly, dropping the pips with a clatter to clutch at his broken right arm with his left.
"Apparently so." he told her between gritted teeth. His Denreishinki began to ring. "Kid- what's your name, sweetheart?" he asked her, tears welling up in the corners of his eyes as he tried not to cry in pain at his broken arm. "Look- my associates are coming any moment now. If they find you here, they'll erase your memory. You'll forget all of this. You need to run, and get as far from here as you can, only return in the morning." he advised her. He could feel shinigami presences on the horizon. "If you ever meet my family- the Hirashis, tell them you met me. They'll treat you kindly. Now run!"
"A-are you alright!?" Their joint efforts seemed to have ensured the hollow would remain permanently silent, but the shinigami had dropped his weapon and appeared to be in great pain from the blow. "You need to see a doctor!" Shiro thoughtlessly suggested, dropping her kendo sword to try and assist him, failing for a moment to remember that no normal human could see the shinigami. Before she could offer any assistance the man ordered her to go.
Shiro clenched her hands into fists at what the shinigami told her. Why did she need to lose her memories over this? Is that why she'd never heard of or seen this type of thing before? Why no one seemed to know or care about these bizarre occurrences? Shiro began to wonder if maybe this hadn't been her first time being able to see spirits. Surely if they could wipe her memories they must also have some way of sealing away one's ability to see ghosts.
No, Shiro shook her head. This was no time to think about what might have been. The one thing she knew was that she absolutely refused to let anyone tamper with her memories. "M-my name is Shiro. Shiro Inazuma!" the girl announced, trying her best not to think about the shinigami's injuries as she picked up her wooden sword and ran off towards Karasu River.
She'd intended to come back the next morning and thank the shinigami, but it was not destined to be so... OOC: See The Aimless River
