She could still feel her muscles surging with pain from her last time roaming the human world. Right hand slowly traced the sleeve of her left arm as she carefully walked along the edge of the sidewalk. Nothing really drove her to come outside, she simply felt like reading another book was a waste of time and chose to go for a stroll. She was dressed like any other day, white school cloths with the only real customization resting along her collarbone. The onyx locket, her doll’s sealed form.
Anna was, as far as she could tell one of the last Bounts who still tried to live a ‘normal’ life. She still tried to protect the mortal world, albeit not fight their battles but protect those without the strength to do such themselves. Frame shifting rapidly as she staggered from a slight misstep on her narrow path. The afternoon sun above warming her cold skin and the slightly clouded sky was truly relaxing. That was until she counted the loud engines around her as cars raced past on the road.
”Observation, Despite roughly two hundred years to get used to those metal death traps sound I have yet to adjust… Why can humans not just stick with walking or horse drawn carriages. It does far less damage to the world that they call home.”
Anna’s nose cringed slightly as a car passed and she got a decent inhale of the vile smell of burnt gas into both her mouth and nose. Clicking her finger against her skirt for a moment before she decided to start using the far side of the sidewalk to try and at the least lower the strength of the bad smell and sound during her so far peaceful stroll. A large hope it would stay peaceful.
