It was rather an unusual day for him. He found himself atop of his school, resting in his uniform. His body was reclined across one of benches with his right arm hanging down, finger tracing on the ground. He’d already decided he was going to end up skipping the rest of classes, so much so that he was just waiting to hear the chime of one more bell before he left. Tick tick tick filled his ear from the watch that sat on his left wrist. His eyes were covered by his forearm so the watch sat against his ear. He was bored with everyday life. Since he unlocked his powers, whatever they were, he was starting to get annoyed with being a normal person. Going to school, dealing with classmates, and listening to teachers. In the back of his mind he felt that they were slowly falling into a level lower than him. A lower plane of existence.
His right hand rose up to his side, and braced himself before pushing the weight of his body upwards so that he was sitting. His pale blue eyes gazed out lifelessly at first. ”The hell am I going to do today?” He had muttered to him. It was in that moment that a burning pain lit up his shoulder.
”Die” Was a voice that slipped across the air. It was rather soft, and had a lovely ring to it despite the one word uttered. His eyes gazed over to the door which had led to the roof top, and his heart sunk. His former love, Akari stood there. Her arm right arm stretched out with a bow formed of mostly light extending from a glove around her wrist. Her pale lavender eyes framed with her dark hair was a beautiful sight, but the expression that contorted her face was far from it. It was terrifying. It was pure anger. ”Today Vetur, you die.” She said once more. Her voice betrayed her expression. As her look was of anger, her voice made her seem happy. And like that, the bullshit of his day had began.
Before he was able to move, like a snake her wrist had snapped back, drawing the string of her bow. Like a train professional, she had launched yet another arrow in his direction. This time piercing his left shoulder below the collarbone. It burned. His flesh seemingly seared by the arrow of reishi ripping through his ill prepared form. He’d been dealing with the white masked monster, not even thinking about people who would’ve attacked him at school. ”Fenir’s Kin” He quickly called out. His voice was filled with pain, and he failed to realize how she flinched to the sound. The air around them began to change. Around him, the gaseous molecules of hydrogen and water began to combine and blend. As the wind blew, water formed a pack of three wolves and just like that they flash froze. With the next gust, the moved to block what could’ve been the next blow.
She took note as soon as his spiritual energy had flared to call form his wolves. She didn’t have the reaction time to accurately aim and fire on him, instead capturing one of the wolves in her sight instead. Her arrow fire free from the spiritual bow, and crashed into the wolf. Crashing upon the ice, it shattered one of the legs, but it soon reformed. It was no longer on the same path, instead having been tossed back towards Vetur. The other two crashed into her, knocking her into the door.
He wasn’t going to wait around to see what was going to happen after that. He leaped up from where was, his right hand applying pressure where he’d been shot before. He soon turned and moved from roof of the school, jumping quickly from the ledge. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he moved as fast as his feet would carry him from the school. If he’d activated his powers here, it’d been bad. There would’ve been some damage.
He’d made it as far the street outside before he felt the connection with his icy companions fade, and the moment after that he realized she was done playing. It was like a million militant archers had fired in his direction. Arrow after arrow struck him, this time grazing him mostly. His eyes closed in frustration, and pain. There wasn’t anymore real playing around for him, and not that there was to begin with. His eyes opened to stare in the direction of the school. Conscious of life around him, something clicked. He was going to die. There wasn’t any way to avoid it. Adrenaline began to pump through his system as his pulse sped up. He wasn’t ready to go.
She was less than 20 meters away before she readied yet another volley just before him. ”I’m not sorry for this Vetur. I don’t know how you were able to hide from me this long, but I’m going to end you.” She yelled before releasing her arrows. Hundreds of them flew in his direction. His right arm flew up in a horrid way to shield him. In that in that moment that a large pulse of energy left his body. The arrows that were still flying his way shattered as the dome rattled through the area.
Akira stood there in shock as she watched that release from his body. She felt it. Finally! She yelled. There it was.”I’ve known from the start there was something different about you, and you’re now release it. Fight me you dirty hollow.” She demanded. Her wish was his command. This would be the only time that she commanded a king.
”As the king demands.” Slipped from his lips in a raspy voice. There was something different about him. As he looked up at her, his eyes no longer held the idea that he could save her. No, it was time to end her. His reiatsu sky rocketed for that one moment as the area around them took a step back to the ice age. From his spot on the ground ice expanded outwards, covering everything in ice up to 50 meters around him. A ghostly crown appeared, and hovered over his head. She’d awoken a king.
”Though, let me introduce you to my Kingdom of Ice and Snow.” He said with a cruel grin as he would’ve risen from the ground. The ice that had already settled across the ground gained a new layered of ice across it as it soon expanded farther, reaching out to a 100 meters from him. Snow began to fall. He soon made his move. Despite the pain he was in, he took to moving in on her. In shock, she didn’t catch what was going on. Before she realized it he was on her. He soon delivered his right fist to her stomach. There was a smile on his face as he felt her recoil from the hit. Her cry of pain made it spread farther. Taking what he had earlier, he took the feeling of the explosion and reapplied it to his fist. Releasing a shockwave of spiritual energy into her core. It felt nice.
He pulled back from her, and watched her fall to the ground. The content of her stomach soon met with the iced over street. His head tilted at her. His hand stretched up towards the sky as the forces began to converge once again, this time like the wolves earlier, water began to form into a large mass of ice over her head in the form of a chunk of ice. ”Goodbye Akari.” He muttered before he dropped it on the woman. The one woman he’d come to love.
While he was being arrogant for the moment, she’d gotten a chance to move some. AS the ice came down, blood splattered on the ground. Instead of dropping on her entire body, only her legs were crushed, but crushed they were. He stared at her with the same uncaring eyes before turning to leave. She wasn’t a threat to him anymore. Her tears from the pain filled his ears with joy. I’ll see you later Akari dear~ He said joyfully as the crown vanished from his head, and the area began to thaw rapidly. There was something he needed to check out.
