Alex opened the door to his apartment for the first time in months. With a heavy sigh he locked the door behind him and tossed his heavy duffel back down on his tiny kitchen table. The apartment seemed so small now after having lived in a cabin out in the Colorado wilderness for several weeks.
Alex lifted the blind on his third story apartment, staring down onto the hustle and bustle of Karakura town in the middle of the afternoon. Things were so peaceful back in Colorado. The sky had been clear and the air fresh, the nights silent and cool. Karakura was none of these things, but it still called to him the whole time he had been away.
Plopping down on his battered couch, Alex slid a beaten Military issue laptop out from under the couch. He dusted the heavy beast off and opened it to the sounds of struggling fans through thick metal plate. With a few quick searches Alex’s fears became reality.
During his little vacation things in Karakura had gotten worse. Reports of mysterious accidents and people labeled insane for seeing monsters and strange men in the night seemed to be increasing drastically. Alex held his head in his hands as a sense of dread gripped his chest. He had seen just how far the gap between themselves and the abominations of the night was. He had watched in horror as he could do nothing to stop the Monster that was firebombed him and innocents not but a few months ago. He had ran from her after he had been saved, showing his cowardice and fear as he turned tail from his problems.
With an audible snap he shut the laptop. At first he had felt guilt, but now he was really pissed. Walking over to the bag on the table he pulled out a black hoodie, some dark cargo pants and a pair of well worn boots. Turning off the lights in his apartment and locking his door Alex stepped out into the night. Returning to the hunt once more.

Alex steps out into the street in front of his apartment just in time to see the sunset paint the sky a pallet of burning hues. As the sunset dwindled alex made his way down the road to his place and set sights for his target. A target he had fresh intelligence on.
Thankfully people who see insane things like to ramble on online forums, and a new ghost story prevails most of them right now. Apparently a man fell off a recent construction site, a day later another worker falls. Then things get interesting. Apparently an inspector was sent late at night after a call about teens making noise at the site. The next morning the inspector was found with his head caved in.
The police had officially stated that the inspector had simply fallen as well but Alex smelled bullcrap. People find the easiest solution to these supernatural problems as a way to cope. That meant that he needed to sneak in and check the place out himself.
It didn’t take him long to find the place. Caution and police tape surrounded every entrance and exit to the week old scene of tragedy. Thankfully enough time had passed that the only car on the scene had a very tired officer sleeping soundly in his cruiser. With these good graces Alex slid under the tape fences and pulled his hunters goggles out from his backpack.
The world turned a dark green for Alex as the infrared sensors kicked on. With this advantage Alex calmly surveyed his surroundings. The construction site seemed to have been halted fairly early. Only two solid floors had been erected and bricked so far, with another three floors of scaffolding above that. As Alex looked for the best route to the top he saw a shadow move in the distance. Something dark and large prowled back in forth slowly on the second floor of the site.
Patrolling was such a boring job. All you did was patrol and look for thing to see and hollows to cleanse. It was such a boring dreadful duty to do. But someone must do it right? He sighed, As he made his way towards the construction site. Upon arrival at the compound. Sithis would glance around, outside of his gigai, he would blankly stare at the human that was at that location. He wondered if he could see him or not. Sithis was outside his gigai of course. Sithis sighed slowly. And made his way towards the location of this coming behind him he'd ask him something. "Can you even see or hear me mister?" He ask the man very slowly. Hoping he would hear or see him. If he didn't see him he would have to use his imagination and uses something very interesting. That would help him in terms trying to get this man's attention.
With that said he would speak. "If you can't hear or see me that would be sad. But this job is boring as hell. Patrolling that is? Not that you know anything about it? But do you?" He went on about ass if he was talking to himself.

Alex had been creeping up on the building slowly, trying to keep a low profile and not announce his presence to anyone. Unfortunately just as Alex had started to step foot into the construction site proper he heard a voice behind him. Alex froze as the voice asked if he could hear him, and then began rambling along like he was talking to himself.
Alex weighed his options for a second. Obviously this guy, or whatever he was, wasn't going to attack him. If he was going to he would have done it already. If he feigned ignorance he could use this chatter mouth to draw whatever was hiding out with him.
Alex turned for just a moment, a look of perplexion on his face, lifted up his NV goggles and looked around. After a few seconds he shrugged his shoulders as animated as possible before turning back towards a set of recently constructed concrete stairs and ascending to the second level.
Hopefully, this guy would believe him. He would also hate if the guy attacked him while his back was turned. Alex kept a careful ear on the guy as he finally made it to the second landing. A few seconds of surveying revealed a mess of a situation.
The second floor was wrecked. Construction light and tools lay broken and scattered along the floor. The scaffolding that had been set up had been smashed, bits of wood scattered along the floor.
Alex turned to look up the stairs when he heard a tumultuous sound above him. he froze for a moment, a forest green mist starting to surround his skin as he prepared himself for a fight.
Sithis looked at the guy as he turned around almost as if he was acknowledging Sithis's existence. But never speaking to him directly it would seem he heard him. But was he able to See Sithis that was another matter to reveal. Sithis choose to follow this man. He was floated in the air as he took each step towards his location, His sword on his back. Just in case a Hollow had arrived and decided to hurt this man. It would be within hi duty to protect the man for such causes. His eyes narrowed as he saw a mist. This mist would spread. Was this toxic? Or was this just a fog to mix the eyes and view of this. No matter. Sithis dropped to the ground, now standing besides this new found person as he looked to the side. "If ya, can hear me or but can't see me. You best be on your guard." he took a Fighting stance, he would use Hakuda against what ever hollow that was about to be displayed before them. He'd have to protect or help this man out. No Matter the cost.
His eyes fixed, on the area wondering when this these hollows would finally strike. He'd have to relly on stepping to move the human out of the way if he choose to get in the way. He wouldn't let that kind of guilt eat him away. Of allowing a human to die before his eyes.

Alex continued to stand completely still, watching and listening. His head tracked the ceiling slowly, his eyes watching the concrete above from behind his NV goggles. Suddenly his head snapped upwards, looking directly above him.
If he hadn’t been wearing a ski mask then the Shinigami might have seen him smile. The aura of mint mist began to steam off of him like hot flesh in the snow. With a cracking sound, like joints being separated, the mist intensified to the point that the wintergreen smell became noxious.
Alex crouched lower to the ground, as if preparing to take of sprinting, his face still pointed upwards as the concrete at his feet began to crack and crumble a bit. With a sound like bones cracking he leapt, hand outstretched to the ceiling before it broke through the concrete like paper mache. A monsterous howl could be heard from above as Alex dangled, about elbow deep into the floor above. He braced himself pressing his free hand against the ceiling and with a resounding grunt he began to push against the barrier before him.
Cracks began to form in the concrete as he shoved against the roof. As the cracks began to grow the roof collapsed in one section sending Alex and whatever beast he had in his hand tumbling to the ground below.
Sithis looked at the location of this man before he would sigh to himself and look as the mist begun to grow and become more dense, His eyes looked at Alex. So this mist was coming from the man. Interesting enough Sithis felt dizzy. This was rather akward. His eyes narrowed as they got foggy. Interesting how these things came to be. He would look around and then at Alex whom crouched down, and leaped into the air, plumping the ceiling above. As it was rubber, breaking it as he took the creature and the concrete with him down to the ground. That was a very impressive display of strength on his part honestly. It was impressive that such a man can do that. Maybe he could see Sithis. Sithis finally regained vision within hiss eyes he took a step back, and eyed Alex. "Oui you're quite impressive for human. You have amazing strength and power what might your name be?" He asked him curiously. Not paying attention if the monster was dead or not he was more focused on what this human can actually. If he could see those monsters, or sense them Maybe Alex can see Sithis too and not just hear what Sithis said.

Alex held the beast down, mounting it from the waist, and started smashing its skull mask in with his bare hands. The beast lashed back, taloned fingers shredding the black coat he was wearing and revealing bloody marks beneath. He continued to smash in its face despite the pain until the beast managed to get its feet against his chest and push him off. Alex flew through the air for moments before smacking into a concrete wall.
Alex slumped to the floor for a second before pulling himself to his feet. He finally got a good look at the beast, and boy was it ugly. It stood about eight foot tall, mostly human in shape except for the massive arms with birdlike talons and the owl-like skull mask on its face. Its skin was a deep purple, almost black, with a white vertical stripe along its chest and arms.
Alex looked over at the Japanese ghost for a moment as he strode forward. Maybe this guy could be useful. Alex was fairly certain he could beat it himself but it would require a lot of strength and probably put himself out of commision for a few days.
"Hey, ghost boy..." He lifted one hand, finger extended out to point at the Monster. "What say you help me with this."
He eyed him very slowly. As Alex was was pumping his fists in and of the man in and out. Like a blood rekt machine. However, the beast managed to send Alex back. As if it was fueled by anger itself. Sithis just eyed him and the monster till. Alex finally addressed Sithis. Sithis looked at him and shook his head. "I would but. Man you had to be rude and such and not notice me till you needed my help." He said. He shrugged his shoulders. "You're more then capable of handling this problem on you're own." he said almost coldly. Before the monster gave him a cold glare. Something Sithis did not like to see from hollows directed it's attention at Sithis. Sithis took a stance and spoke. Got himself ready. Waiting for the right movement to strike, and then vanished, appearing in front of him, taken his right hand out, and palm striking the chest, it was pushed back just by two or three feet. It was tall, and well built. So it was most likely a Hollow related to Strength, Stamina, and Endurance. This could get really tricking, lifting himself up, he placed a hand over the Hollow's mask, hand standing in a single arm over his head, it's hands clapped it's mask, as Sithis released his hands, from it sprung back, and aimed a dropped kick to his back, Causing Sithis to recoil backwards from how hard his skin was. He would back flip and land on his feet. "The hell is he made of." He said.

Alex took two leaping strides and closed the gap between himself and the Hollow. It tried to swipe a claw at him, but Alex threw his left hand out to parry the blow. Alexis left hand began to change color mod motion. At first a mite green then finally a marble color as it clashed with the hollows claws.
With a clang like metal on stone the Hollow’s hand flew back, causing it to lose it balance and recoil away. Alex took the advantage, spun on his heel and drove a mighty uppercut into the beasts jaw. The beast was launched into the air momentarily, letting loose an unearthly howl as it came crashing back to the ground.
“Whatever it’s it’s made of…” He cracked the knuckles in his right hand by clenching his fist. “It can be broken.” He slowly strode towards the monster as it writhed in hatred and agony, clutching it's now broken mask. Reaching down he grabbed that mask, hoisting the beast up into the air with one hand.
The Hollow was much taller that him, feet still touching the ground, and was very displeased about being manhandled. It reached up with its clawed hands and tried to pry Alex's grip away. Alex did not relent, though. Instead he launched the beast backhanded, causing it to fly through the air before crashing hard a meter or two away from the Ghost boy.
Sithis slowly look at Alex making quick work on the enemy. In fact Alex appeared to be quite amazing at what he had done. To a point where sithis found himself. looking in amazement. His eyes narrowed and fixed as Alex unleashed a mighty of chain attacks towards the enemy. It was so impressive. That once the monster that been slammed to the the ground, Sithis leaped at it, and took his hand out with an open strike he would land a blow directly into the Hollow's already damaged mask, as he begun to unleash his own chain of attacks at the hollow's mask, Hoping to break the mask. After what seemed to be a minute of unloading his attacks at the mask. It finally broke.
The Hollow had perished and vanished from the plane of the living, sithis stood up and looked at the location of the man. "You don't think we can be friends, er? We did share battle together; and came out quite the victorious bunch?" He asked in a questioning tone. His eyes narrowed as he would make his way towards the man, not once did Sithis need to raise his zanpukuto against the hollow. Though he still had help from Alex. "You life mighty weights to lift someone as large as that hollow for your weight, How much do you press?" He asked him.

Alex turned towards the Ghost asking all the questions. He remained silent just for a moment, wondering what he should say. In his several years of hunting monsters and ghouls not once had any of the more human spirits he had seen assist him. Except for that one time...
He knew what he wanted, An explanation. "Who are you?" He tried to keep his tone somewhat non-threatening, and in an attempt at most likely ill-chosen goodwill, he removed the ski mask from his face. There was a small trickle of blood running down the side of his cheek, from where he had not had time to protect his head when being flung.
"Choose what you say next wisely because my job is to hunt Oni and I am quite good at it." Unfortunately, his lack of general knowledge of the spirit world, and Japanese mythology meant that Oni was the only word he could really use to describe what he hunted. "*I've never fought a Ghost before though<English... But since you helped me..." He took a few steps towards the boy, the mist that formerly leaked from his skin slowly dissipating as his muscles seemed to relax a little. "I will give you this benefit of the doubt."
