APPEARANCE PERSONALITY
Unlike his young appearance, the child prodigy of the Gotei 13 is mature, calm and collected. Almost in line - Hitsugaya is represented as cold just like the zanpaktou under his possession; the captain of the jubantai runs his division and daily activities with utmost respect, honor and serious capabilities. Annoyed at the slightest display of laziness and is easily annoyed by others drawing unneeded attention to themselves, Hitsugaya hates anything that he deems childish as well as being described as something close to a child, such as an elementary school child.
Despite his cold nature however, Hitsugaya does have a soft spot, especially when it comes to his closest friendship; as such he is overly protective of Momo Hinamori, due to the fact that they were old childhood friends. Most outbursts and out of character reactions occur while in the presence or caused by the fukutaicho of the gobantai.
Contrary to his serious nature and wishes to be taken seriously as an adult-figure, Hitsugaya himself has his own streaks of childish behaviors, such as his wishes to write and finish his duties swiftly - not for the sake of being productive, but to being able to take an afternoon nap (He believes in the saying "children who sleep well, grow well," and hopes to grow quickly, a wish shared by his subordinates.). Likewise, Hitsugaya still returns to the Rukongai where he grew up watermelon and amanattō. While here he also plays "spinning tops" with the neighborhood children he grew up with, retaining his title of the "undefeated champion" due to his unparalleled skills.
For such a cold interior, a fire burns within however; Hitsugaya does find much anger and reckless tendencies when provoked (especially when Hinamori is involved), or when people do not refer to him to his title which he worked hard to attain.

The hail stones swarm around the enemy until the user crushes their outstretched hand into a fist, and the hailstones all collide into the opponent at the same time.

Description: The caster throws their arms back and then heaves them at the opponent, as if shoving a large object towards them. A strong, chilly gust kicks up behind the user before blowing towards the opponent and passing them by completely. Right behind the last of the breeze, hundreds upon hundreds of spear-shaped icicles fly towards the opponent at Cero speed, following the trajectory of the wind. With incantation, the icicles freeze upon contact and can cause frostbite at equal advantages.

By using the ashes of Rangiku's Shikai to create layers of ice, and then by removing the ashes and having Haineko return to its sword form, Hitsugaya can create a multi-layer ice wall with several empty layers. This enables the little ice Hyōrinmaru can create to be able to withstand fire attacks with little damage.

Within his right arm, his whole arm is encased as the end wraps around the zanpaktou's hilt up to the guard. The end is shaped like a dragon's head. The left arm is also encased up to his wrist, and both feet are replaced by what appears to be dragon's feet.

Description:
Hitsugaya trained and strengthened his Bankai considerably, completing its development after eighteen months of hard work. While using this ability and form, it is when the last petal of his bankai falls, and he matures and ages.
In his matured form, Hitsugaya can flash-freeze extremely large objects at a distance with a simple hand gesture; this also extends to objects that his sword cuts. Additionally, anything that he freezes will have all of its functions and abilities negated. If anyone touches Hitsugaya while he is in this form, they will be flash-frozen as well.
Shikai Hyōketsu (四界氷結, Four World Freeze): In his matured form, Hitsugaya can freeze all matter in front of him after a single post of building up his power.

The light panting echoed off the silent backdrop of trees and wooden structures. Desolated besides one lone figure whom stood in solidarity amongst the nature-esque scene. Young, and short-standing, simple black kimono top with a matching black hakama and a weapon in hand; the silver glistening in sunlight.The simple sound of a blade cutting through the air was the only complimenting feature to the panting that came in unison with each stroke of the blade. Momentarily pausing, emerald eyes gazed skyward to the heavens above before releasing a sigh, the grip on the hilt loosing. The days merely seemed to blend and fade together. How long ago had it been? Peace was a good thing, it helped the days go in order, but war, but conflict? The drums of violence never helped keep a beat. Ironic. " Shiro-chan! Come on! Grandmother wants us to cut the watermelons!" " Hinamori..." a soft whisper escaped the young man's lips. The Jubantai Taichō could not help but think of his closest and oldest friend whom had just called out his name. The same irritating name that usually came with the retaliation of her bed-wetting days. It had only been a week since the Quincy invasion: many shinigami had lost their lives, including his own fifth seated officer. Many captains were injured at the cost of the quincy defeat and force back, including Hinamori Momo's own captain, Hirako Shinji. Within that very battle however, Hinamori was unable to be protected by her superior and sustained injuries from the Quincy later reported by Akon of the Juniibantai as Sternritter "L"- PePe. ARGH! Anger was vented outward in the form of a violent downward slash from the katana which was held by the white drained hands of the Jubantai taichō. The pure immense pressure of the white-haired prodigy's reiatsu sprang forth from the silver edge as the light blue energy collided with a nearby tree as it came crumbling down in pieces. ".. Shit." he cursed beneath his breath as he took a deep breath in to calm himself. It was unlike -- yet so very much like -- the young captain. Known for his calm, collected and serious demeanor, many shinigami and those close to Tōshirō still find shock and surprise at the violent outbursts and moments of reckless aggression. Finding his composure from the anger that bottled up from thinking about how he failed his friend, the one whom he had always promised to protect. Resentment still filled the jubantai taichō's heart. Memories of Aizen's betrayal, and the injuries she sustained during those days, and even his own blade piercing her back because he too recklessly rushed forward to stop that same man. He had made a promise yet failed countless times so far and this was but another tick to the tallies. Each time the sentence he faced self-served was lengthened within the goal called remorse. Footsteps echoed across the grassy fields. The bells that would save the young boy from his own demons within. A deeper breath than the one before would follow as the glistening silver blade swiped through the open air before enclosing itself within its wooden sheath. He knew he had to do something. He knew he needed to improve and to adapt if he was to keep his word, the only way forward that did not result within losing his words that he solemnly swore to his friend; but until then he would do what he could now, to be there for the one he could not be there for earlier. He would do what he did best, watch over her and make sure she would recover. "Shiro-chan! We also have tea cakes! Your favorite!"
" I told you, that is still Hitsugaya-taichō to you Bed-wetter Momo!" the insult did not last, a feminine giggle echoed much like her footprints as the boy turned to face the oncoming shadow.
