The BSRP Timeline Split

With the site moving into a more AU plot with the introduction of the 1000 year blood war; I think now if the perfect time to get the BSRP timeline and important past events straitened out so everyone is on the same page in regards to where why are and how we differ from the canon. To that end, this page will include a list of major plot points surrounding where we are and how we got here.

Note that all times are approximated because this shit is confusing enough in the canon without also adding site stuff.

Approximately 8 years ago attempted to complete the prophecy of "The Sealed King" which stated after 900 years of being sealed, he would regain his pulse; after another 90, he would regain his intellect; and after 9 more years, he would absorb the power of every "impure" Quincy to make their abilities his own.

This is the first point where we split from the canon. While the exact reason is unknown, Yhwach failed to absorb the power of all "impure" quincy. Perhaps 1000~ of mixing genes with normal human had hidden those with mixed blood from the power of the Auswählen, perhaps those of pure blood who did not hold to his ideals had developed ways to shield themselves from his power. The exact reason isn't important, what is important is that he failed, and was therefore unable to free himself from dormancy. This is also why we have mixed blood quincy and pure blood families outside of the Wandenreich's influence.

After waiting 8+ years beyond what their prophecy foretold, Haschwalth is mentally contacted by the still dormant Yhwach. The king explains to his other half that the Auswählen used 8 years previous only recovered a fraction of the power needed for him to awake. He tells him that, despite this, they cannot afford to wait forever, the Wandenreich will dissolve in impatience if they are forced to wait inexorably.

Yhwach order Haschwalth to send out their weakest Sternritter to assess the enemy, and to take footholds in Hueco Mundo and in the spiritually active area in the human world i.e. Karakura town. Haschwalth does as commanded.

In the Rukongai the invading Sternritter kill a large number of shinigami and grievously injure Kensei Muguruma, Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi, Jūshirō Ukitake, but are defeated by a group of  shinigami that arrive to backup the injured captains.

I the human world and Hueco Mundo, the Sternritter are confronted and defeated by powerful unaligned spiritual beings, revealing Karakura Town and Las Noches to be anything but unprotected as they previously assumed.

Surprised and defeated, the quincy realized they are ill prepared to take and hold all three worlds without the complete power of their king. With their previous plans no longer a viable option, the temporary monarch goes in a new direction, focused on the powerful beings in the human world and Hueco Mundo that he had previously been ignorant to. If the Wandenreich can be bolster its ranks with enemies of the Gotei 13 and those among the mortal races who desire power, then they will be prepared to march on the Seireitei.

After the Wandenreich's surprise attack on the Rukongai, the Gotei is understandably shaken. And old enemy has returned, shinigami are dead, and three captains have been maimed and may not recover. Not only this, but reports are coming in that the human world and Hueco Mundo were similarly attacked, but all shinigami have been recalled to the Seireitei in preparation for another attack and no additional information is known on the aftermath of these other incidents.

Under pressure from the Central 14 for answers and action, the captain commander calls an emergency meeting of all remaining captains, declares that as of now they are at war with the Wandenreich, and lays out his orders:

First, replacements are to be immediately found for the injured captains. On top of this, all lieutenants will submit immediately for combat assessment, those that fail to meat expectations will be replaced.

Second, the Onmitsukidō is to split from the 2nd division. Suì-Fēng will leave her captain position and take the entire stealth corps to the human world in force to find out what happened there while the Rukongai was being attacked.

Third, the Kenpachi must be brought to full fighting strength.

And finally, allies must be found. The size of the enemy force is completely unknown, and they were clearly more than a match for even the most powerful shinigami. Known allies of th Gotei 13 must be brought into the fold, and if the quincy were defeated in the human world and Hueco Mundo then their betters must be located and recruited if the war is to be won.
