The deafening roar of people cheering filled Jin’s ears until it felt like he was drowning. His heart felt like it was beating out of his chest with the excitement flowing through his veins. The stage was set as a caged box placed in the middle of an stadium. Surrounding the cage is a crowd of people both rough and well-dressed alike mixed into the crowd. It was dimly lit for the most part, but that was only because the spotlights were focused on the arena as large screens displaying the fight at least fifty feet above for all to see.
“How are my wonderful fans today?!” A voice speaking through a microphone headset that everyone knows as the Announcer/Narrator. Everybody cheered louder in response as if the crowd was one body. “Are you ready for action?! Are you ready to witness the fight of your lives?!” The crowd cheered once more as the Narrator chuckled since he was obviously pleased with the response.
“Then I’ll start you off with the first fight today. Most of you may not remember him, some might recognize him. He’s a slumbering dragon that has been out of it for the past five years since the last time he was here.” There were people anxious to see a fight rather than hear a short story, but the narrator was just building up the tension on purpose to get them even more hyped. “I give you, the Drunken Dragon!” They cheered once more, but they quickly became confused as Jin walked up the short staircase to the caged arena. All while taking a drink from a stainless steel flask.
“So who am i fighting today?” Jin asked the well-dressed man with short blonde hair who is commonly known as the Announcer and Referee of the underground fights. A flash of white teeth can be seen on the man’s face as Jin enters the arena. “We were just about to ask that question. So who wants to try their hand on fighting this man and win ten thousand yen? Who wants to climb the ladder to become a champion of the night and win a hundred thousand yen?!” There was a pause for a couple of moments before walking up to the arena was a big guy with muscles large as a cannonball. Almost immediately Jin lost interest because this guy looks like he could be a wrestler. Maybe a karate practitioner, but Jin honestly doubted it.
The challenger paid the referee his ten thousand to get into the arena after entering the arena. As much as Jin wanted to back out, but he seriously needed that money. Booze was one thing, but what Jin wanted to start was a whole another level. “Our first challenger is known as Strong Armed Phillips!” The referee announced to the crowd while tucking the roll of money into his pocket. He made sure that both Phillips and Jin knew the rules of this arena which is mainly if the other is knocked out the one standing wins. They can forfeit the match, but only before it starts. Otherwise just beating each other until they can barely move.
A countdown began starting at five, and when it struck at one a buzzer went off that was the signal of the match starting. Phillips blinked as Jin quickly closed in the gap with a leap that Phillips instinctively blocked his face with his raised arms. However that wasn’t what Jin had aimed for as he delivers a strong, focused punch into the abdomen. Phillips gasped and doubled over as Jin quickly raised another fist and slammed it onto the big guy’s face. Causing the poor man to fall completely down as specks of blood can be seen on the arena floor. “Rule number one. Never take your eyes off your opponent.” Jin stated as the buzzer went off again and everybody cheered. That match only took four seconds total to complete and there were some who were shocked at the turn of events.
As people who works in this arena quickly came up to grab the sprawled out Phillips, Jin took out his flask from underneath his shirt and took another swig out of it. The referee came up as he held a roll of ten thousand in his hand. “Win or lose you still have your ten thousand. Do you wanna continue or are you done for the night?” Jin raised a brow at the question, and at least he’ll earn the money back that he spent to start this event. “I’m up for another four rounds. If i lose then i simply wasn’t up for the task.” The man nodded his head as he tucked the roll back into his pocket. Afterwards the referee will be asking who is up next to try their luck.
An underground fighting arena. Yeong-Hui loathed these places. She was often thrown in here since she started to grow some semblance of muscles on her, it made her tough. And enforcers had to be tough. That was the verdict of her boss. The man she gladly saw show and die a slow and painful death. Her ears flattened against her skull as she moved through the cheering crowd, up to the ring. Though as much as she hated these places personally, she couldn't deny the fact how useful they were in terms of profit. She just had to bring the deed of ownership.
And that was what she brought with her here. Dragged behind her was a man in cuffs, battered and beaten. The ex-manager of this fine establishment.
She moved up to the ring, just after one of the contestants knocked the other flat in a manner of seconds. Admirable, but not in her interest right now. She crawled into the ring, glancing at the announcer, before pulling her captive in as well. Holding him up for everyone to see. A gun was drawn and pointed at the blonde announcer. To cease any kind of bright idea they may have had to interrupt her.
Though it was then that she felt Jin's presence. It was faint, but there was a presence nonetheless. She glared at the drunkard and flared her reiatsu just a little bit. A display of power, obvious at just how much more power she held. "Mic," she snarled to the announcer, who shuffled closer and threw it at her, shaking. "Please, all remain sitting," she stated, kicking the manager in the back of the knee, holding the gun to the back of his head. "Myself and Mister Masumoto have an announcement to make. This place is now mine." Yeong's japanese was broken and everything but fluent. Though she was at least understandable. She dropped the microphone on the floor and glanced down at the man, before letting out a sharp whistle.
Some people in the crowd, as if on cue, got up and moved towards the arena. Taking the owner away, kicking and screaming. She then glanced at Jin, tilting her head. "Announcer. I fight," she hissed sharply, slowly taking off her duster and tossing it to the side. "Let's make up for my interruption." she stated to Jin, the faintest of smirks appearing on her face as she put up her fists. "Sae jibhaengjaleul siheomhabsida."
As the newcomer holding a man in cuffs entered the ring Jin sighed in a slight hint of annoyance. Not from the fact that she interrupted the flow of things, but rather the fact that he just ran out of his whiskey from the flask. “Great. Now i definitely need my money back so i can get a refill. I wonder what kind i should get this time?” Jin asked himself in fluent japanese though a bit slurred from the drunken state. At this point anything Yeong had said about taking over was blocked out from his ears because he was pondering on what kind of alcohol to get this time. “A bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey again? Nah, that is better served on a glass and not in a contained flask. Maybe get that cannonblast rum? Sure it’s strong, but mix it with a coke and it’ll sweeten up in a heartbeat.” If he did sense Yeong’s presence in a spiritual sense he didn’t show it as he put the topper on his flask and tucked it under his shirt.
It wasn’t until some people from the crowd came up to grab the man in cuffs that Jin’s attention was directed to the two that are in the ring. He seemed out of it a bit as Jin leaned over to the announcer and mockingly attempt to whisper. “So i still get my 10,000 from this right?” Of course the guy looked at the drunk almost as if he was insane. “I mean if you choose to walk away sure, but… I don’t know how things are going to be now.” Jin was confused about the man’s answer. How can he not be sure? Sure Jin will admit this was a different announcer than when he used to come here daily during his teen years. That however, has never made a man uncertain before.
With the duster dropped to the floor Jin glanced over at the maiden with his hazel eyes. His body language and the smell is like a drunkard. His eyes however, shows that he is well aware of what he’s doing and capable of thinking. It was mainly when she said in a basic tongue of japanese that she is fighting. But he didn’t see her pay her entrance fee. So he got to wondering if maybe she did and he just didn’t pay attention for it. But whatever he thought; it’s not like he’s going to be hurt by it financially wise. At least as far as he can tell.
“Well kid…” Jin started to say until he looked into Yeong’s feline eyes and got a strong sense of maturity from them. “Ah, my mistake. For once it’s not some random kid or wannabe enforcer who wish to dance with me.” Jin looked like he was going to belch, but he kept his mouth shut as the vapors of alcohol coil from his nostrils. His body seemed loopy and probably awkward to approach, but even Yeong can see that no matter how drunk his guard is never truly down unless he passes out. In fact he seems to be looking forward to this now, but whether he can still sense Yeong is still a questionable manner.
The drunkard actually assumed proper battle stance. His feet were slightly bouncy at first seemed to keep him from staggering, his left arm extended with a cupped hand as the right hand stayed at waist level in the form of a fist. The announcer started the countdown, and the instant the buzzer went off Jin was virtually flying across the ring quickly closing the gap with a single leap. Jin focused his power into the muscle of his left hand which is the already extended arm. Within a second he was on her as Jin hurls his right fist into a hook, and it wasn’t until then that Jin released the built up power in his left hand to suddenly lash out in a fast and powerful fist. The right hook was coming for her face while the empowered fist was coming at her solar plexus. The empowered attack traveled at the speed equivalent to a cero and with it aiming for the solar plexus could prove devastating if Yeong isn’t careful.
His fists would probably be noticeably callused around his palms and knuckles. As it’ll show sign of him at least trained his hands to endure and prove to have a solid power behind them. If anything Jin shows a sign of using tactic for using his right fist which was the most obvious to see coming for an attack. It is more of a feint, but it still holds power behind it as really faint traces of reiatsu trails behind his hands. At least then Yeong may pay more attention to the swinging hook, but if she ducked Yeong would quickly find herself at the mercy of his empowered fist that suddenly formed and lashed out towards her face. Granted Jin doesn’t know how much she is capable of, but least to say that he’s countering her defensive measures. Even if she did took a step back, Jin’s sped up momentum from his leap will carry over and he’ll just end up shoulder bashing into her chest. In a metaphorical sense Jin is a speeding bullet in this arena and has the power of an ox.
{Spoiler}{techniques used}Name:: Kazaguruma [風車, "Windmill"] Class: Hand to Hand Technique Type:: Offensive. Range:: Self. Tier:: III Description:: Kazaguruma is comprised of two movements, one is which the user jumps into the air at 3x natural speed, leaving a trail of the condensed physical energy behind them, before crashing down with a hard kick at a target knocking them away, up to 50 meters to be specific. Kazaguruma can be used in any manner, either in a frontal kick, sideways, backwards, any numerous amounts of ways to utilize it, and can be used to set up an advantage.
Name: Kihon [Fundamentals] Class: Hand to Hand Technique Type: Offensive. Range: Self. Tier: II Description: The fundamentals to Karate revolve all around the user's ability to utilize their form and then their current grip on the art itself. The fundamentals of Karate grant the ability of utilizing them at any time, which if the user wished, would invoke power from their core and power whatever hit they are throwing out with extra power. This can be easily spammed, requiring no downtime, and has no sign of it existing outside of a sliver of their reiatsu appearing along whatever appendage they just used to land a hit.
Name: Kata [Shape] Class: Hand to Hand Technique Type: Offensive. Range: Self. Tier: III Description: The "shape" or "form" of ones stance in Karate is dependent on how high they are up, your form - and all variants - showing how powerful you are, for each form in on itself gets harder to master, but more deadly in the long wrong. There is one universal thing about all the forms though, they put emphasis on the thrusting hand, to which each form allows to release the arm at incredible speeds, this simply emphasizes on it. By focusing power into the muscle and hand and augmenting the swing, the user of this ability can speed up their hand to the speed of a cero from no speed at all. Most people wouldn't walk away from this.
{technique clarification}Jin uses the Windmill technique to utilize the x3 natural speed with the above average mastery in stepping. The right hook and the possible shoulder bash will be utilizing the Kihon technique as it applies to his appendages. The left fist obviously uses the Kata technique and is the reason why it'll be stronger than the other two attacks. All attacks in terms of speed are affected by the x3 natural speed due to momentum and kinetic energy. Though i guess they're both the same thing.
{Possible advantages assessment (Jins Side)}- Equal mastery in H2H (0 Advantages) - Using a maximum Tier of 3 (+1 to +3 Advantage) - x3 speed boost (+1 Advantage)
Total outcome on Jin's side: +1 to +3 Advantages depending on the opposing side.

The slurred, drunk japanese was too confusing for Yeong to properly grasp. But she heard and understood the word kid. Was this man mocking her? Her face split into a soft smirk, not one of amusement, but one more akin to anticipation. In more detail, the anticipation to prove Jin just how wrong he was now. She had to hand it to the drunkard, he had some serious skill in his deck. But he'd come to realize she was far more skilfull, and that this time, the deck was stacked completely against him.
A huff of annoyance, however, came from her as he seemed to fly through the ring. Yeong could accurately sense the fact he was expending reiatsu in his moves. Here she was hoping for a fist brawl, a one on one as equal humans. But alas, it seemed like this would not be the case. A soft puff of smoke started to secrete from her eyes, Yeong stepped forward and pulled a sleek, white and beautifully designed katana from thin air, holding the blunt side up to catch Jin's right hook, ducking underneath it and sliding sidewards, her body flowing around the left punch like water. Small sparks of green energy on her feet as she narrowly dodged the fist. Yeong-Hui had no intention of stepping back, no. Not at all.
She had every intention of stepping forward. Which she did, pushing herself up and using the leverage of her blade to attempt pushing Jin's form out of balance, by pushing herself up. And if she succeeded within that, she'd move up to smack the back of the hilt against his jaw with a punishing blow.
{OOC note} Don't worry about advantages too much in these kinds of threads. They're mostly used as a means of fair combat, solid numbers when there's a dispute, in this case, we can just throw punches around etc.
Name: Bringer’s Light Class: Stepping Type: Stepping Range: N/A Tier: I Description: At its core, this is a Fullbringer’s high speed movement akin to a Shinigami’s Shunpo or a Hollow’s Sonido and aesthetically, it’s accompanied by a green luminescence. The speed is achieved through a variety of the user’s Fullbring abilities as unlike other Stepping techniques, this one has a lot more freedom and versatility. It’s at first initiated by pulling on the soul of the ground or air beneath their feet, in which Fullbringers can increase its elasticity to bounce off objects, turn quickly, enhance jumping ability or slightly boost physical strikes as well as the ordinary high-speed movement.
Name: Weapon control Class: Fullbring Tier: I Type: Passive Range: Personal Description: The ability to use and control the weaponry on her back, allowing to swap out between various weaponry. This technique is the foundation to her other ones. It also allows for her to manouver the swords on her back, using them to defend from blows per durability of release level items.
Name: Dutiful Dignity Class: Fullbring Tier: III Type: Supplementary Range: Personal Description: Dutiful Dignity is the bread and butter of Yeong's weaponry. A long, white and sleek katana that is very light to handle. An x2 speed boost when this is activated. The sword remains on her back even when the tech has ended as per the weapon control technique.
{Declaration} Using Dutiful Dignity to parry the strike, dodging the cero speed arm by using bringer's light in an almost static fashion. She sees the Kata strike coming by sensing the amount of energy Jin is charging in his left, so she is on gaurd. Yeong is in a ducked position at this point and tries to push Jin slightly off balance, by extending her legs fully, to deliver a hilt strike to the left side of his head.
{All possible advantages} Your advantages make sense, though there are a few you forgot. Firstly, Yeong is ML-A, Jin is LL-A. This gives a global 2 advantage to Yeong.
Global: Yeong + 2 H2H: Equal Stepping: Yeong + 1 (Advanced Stepping) General speed: Yeong - 0.5 (x2 speed buff from Dutiful Dignity vs. Windmill x3 speed buff) Techniques: Yeong +1 (tier III to tier III is equal. Yeong is using release techniques, so +1 on her)
Coming down to this, without tanking the hits, 3.5 Advantages for Yeong's side. In this case.
This isn't to discredit or give you an instant lose. As I said, they're guidelines, we're free to scrap and go about this as we please.
It was a strange feeling that Jin sensed for a brief moment there. One second it seemed like he was going to hit the female in a two hit combo. Then Jin saw the blurry physical energy move under the hook and pivot around it. He recognized a similar move that enables faster time to move out of the way. But that's not what Jin sensed as it felt like energy was crawling down his spine.
Before that he felt the sharp slap on the right hand as the drunkard’s eye caught the sight of a pure white katana. It seemed she used the blunt end, and while Jin honestly disliked its use this was a ring where just about anything goes except killing. The drunk knew this and wasn't going to disrupt a fight because it wasn't how he preferred. Then the blur happened as his eyes tried to keep as best as it could. That's where he felt the change of shifting controls where he was going while still carrying over his momentum.
There wasn't much he could do, but the drunk quickly brought his right hand back while simultaneously grabbing the blade as he pinched it with his fingers to keep a grip on it. As his momentum carry over even with the extra push Jin used the accurate yet strong grip on the sword in order to briefly pull him back with a strong yank. Causing both legs to fly in front of him just before Jin’s feet hit the caged wall. Still in motion, Jin more or less wall run sideways for a brief moment as he empowered his left hand once again. Where he'll leap off at surprisingly fast speed at close melee range to slam his Kata on Yeong’s side. With the strong amount mix of physical and reiryoku energy Jin could potentially cause her to fly hard to the other side of the arena.
