| RUSSELL LOWELL | "DON’T GET ME INVOLVED... THE ONLY THINGS I NEED IN LIFE ARE A COMPUTER AND WI-FI CONNECTION." | lone wolf || transmale || biromantic/asexual || 18 |
APPEARANCE
PERSONALITY The first thing anyone notices about Russell Lowell is that he's a coward. In fact, some would say he's just about the worst coward and the lowest of the low. Truly, the scum of the earth. Even Russell would agree. He's lower than a cockroach.
The next thing someone notices about Russell is that he takes compliments too well. His head gets swollen easily from compliments, which, while usually a bad thing, is often manipulated by others to get him to do something he originally didn't want to do. So, if one ever wants him to do something, all they have to do is thrust compliments at him and sweetly ask him to fulfill their request.
Of course, there are only two things in life Russell will never do, complimented or not. And those are: fight for someone/defend them and get a job. Russell, being the most cowardly person anyone knows, will run the other direction if he sees danger, regardless of whether that danger is threatening a “friend”. Russell also loathes working with a fiery passion. His parents are wealthy enough that he can live in luxury at home, but they have tried many times to coax him into working, only to fail every time.
Russell will also ignore anyone crying or seemingly needing help, as he hates getting involved in anything complicated. Even if you cling to his legs, he will try to run away.
Still, in a life or death situation, if there is no way for him to run, Russell will stand his ground and fight, even though he has no fighting skills whatsoever. He’s at least brave enough to try to survive, even if the chances are slim.
HISTORY
Russell Lowell was always a quiet child. Like all Fullbringers, while his mother was pregnant with him, she was attacked by a Hollow. She was scratched along the back by the Hollow, though a Shinigami managed to save her just in time, eliminating the Hollow and healing her. Her memories were also replaced, so she never remembered the incident. Russell’s birth parents were your average middle-class working parents, save for the fact that every night when they came home, they drank alcohol and beat their son to vent their frustrations. They would blame him for their terrible income and even more terrible bosses, shouting that because he was born, they were forced to quit their previous jobs because they were high-maintenance and required more time than they could afford with a child. As a result, they had to apply for office jobs with a low pay and a two-faced superviser who pushed all the work onto them. Every day was hell, and a child eating up their hard-earned salary made their tempers worse. Because of their treatment towards him, Russell became almost entirely mute, never speaking out of turn or when he wasn’t spoken to, and was afraid of everyone and everything.
Luckily, when Russell was six years old, his parents spiralled out of control, having drunk themselves to death one night. After days of not hearing from his parents, concerned neighbors phoned the police, who then found his parents lying dead on the floor of the living room while Russell was locked in the bathroom. Russell refused to answer any questions and was terrified of anyone who approached him, but people managed to deduce that his parents had locked him in there to keep him quiet. Now that his parents were dead, Russell needed guardians to watch over him. The police phoned his next of kin, his aunt and uncle, to let them know what had happened, and they took Russell in without hesitation.
Poor Russell had initially thought that they would be just like his parents, and so was quiet unless he was spoken to and carried an almost haunted expression on his face every second of every day. But as time passed, the child slowly grew accustomed to the fact that he wasn’t going to be hurt by his aunt and uncle, and began to smile again.
II. When It Happened
Russell grew dependent on his guardians as he grew older. Throughout his time under their care, Russell never left home save for going to school or to buy snacks. He spent most of his time on his computer, and since he had stellar grades and was well-behaved, his aunt and uncle left it be. But once he turned 18 years old and graduated high school, they had hoped he would start to become independent.
He did not.
In fact, it only made him more dependent on his guardians. He never left the house and confined himself to his room. Concerned, his guardians decided to finally “kick” him out of the house, sending him to live with a friend of theirs in Japan, where they hoped he would do well. Over the years, Russell had picked up programming skills, as well as hacking and coding skills, something that his guardians hoped would aid him in finding a job while in Japan.
Of course, it still didn’t change anything, as Russell simply stayed within the room provided for him in Japan, and received a monthly allowance from his guardians that was to be used at his disposal. As such, he stayed much the same as he did while living with his guardians.
However, the event shocked him somewhat, as he felt his guardians were abandoning him. His aunt and uncle seemed to realize this, which was what caused them to send him a monthly allowance and let him live as he wished. They dearly loved him and didn’t want him to ever feel alone, so they left Russell be. They still worried, however.
And they grew even more worried when Russell got into an accident at a convenience store. He hadn’t even meant to cause them worry; it was more a case of the world seemingly hating him. [wip]

| BATTLE SKILLS Name: Please Don't Hurt Me!! Class: Soul Communication Tier: III Type: Defensive Range: Self/Short (5 m.) Description: In which Russell pulls on the soul of the ground or whatever hard substance is nearby and causes the material to wrap around him protectively. (Ex: If he was pulling on the ground, a layer of the ground would uproot itself and wrap around him.) Name: Screw This! Class: Hand to Hand Tier: I Type: Supplementary Range: Short (2 m.) Description: In which Russell pulls a dirty move grabs a fistful of dirt, sand or whatever material is available and thrusts it into the opponent’s face to allow himself time to run away. ITEMS REIATSU FEATURES Russell’s reiatsu is a bright orange-red with flecks of gold. It gives off an eerie glow but is very translucent. The reiatsu wraps around his neck like a long scarf, though its ends seem frayed as if with age. FULLBRING |
AVA PRO DIMENSION ”ANTIVIRUS-ACTIVATION PROGRAM, GO.” | |
ITEM FORM
AVA PRO (AntiVirus-Activation PROgram, pron: ay-vuh proh) resembles a harmless smartphone in its item form. It’s silver in color and very sleek. A clear case protects the back from being scratched.
FULLBRING APPEARANCE When AVA PRO is activated, the smartphone glows a red color that, if Russell is touching it, spreads to surround him, as well.
FULLBRING ABILITIES Name: --- Class: Fullbring Tier: I Type: Passive Range: N/A Description: A holographic keyboard can be “pulled up” in front of Russell from the smartphone’s screen that he can use. It hovers in the air and follows him around, but it can also be “put away” if necessary. Russell can also pull up a holographic monitor to see things in the distance using the smartphone’s camera, but the quality isn’t the best (it’s a phone camera after all) and he can really only see as far as 50 m.
Name: Digitize: Quarantine Class: Fullbring Tier: II Type: Defensive Range: Short (radius of 3 m. from self) Description: Similar to quarantining dangerous files using an antivirus program, Digitize: Quarantine “downloads” a projectile attack (that is, at most, three meters away from Russell), turning it into data, and “quarantines” it, locking it away in a sub-dimension located on a “server” connected to AVA PRO. This technique’s “quarantine” only lasts for three posts, after which the attack is expelled from the “server”, though it is unpredictable in which direction the attack will go.
