Hello everyone! its Loshi, your friendly neighborhood furry. Today ive come to you all with an important issue. That being, the way events are handled on this site, as well as some ways they could be made better.
Obviously, im not a member of staff, so i can't speak for any staff-only boards that may exist. However one of the biggest problems ive seen is that there is no member-viewable board for events. Sure there's the Plot/Rp section. But that is honestly for more member to member level setup. Adding a Event Board, with proper sub-boards for Upcoming events, Previous events, Current events, and Finished events will allow members to properly see what has happened on the site, so they can build their characters around it, as well as serve as a way of properly displaying events so that they can be revisted by people going over them to look at rules and participants and such.
In truth, the way events are current handled here makes it very hard for people to get things done it. Not only is there not a dedicated board for it, But there isnt any event Moderators, whos sole job as mods is to make events, work out the details, make sure posts are getting done, and run individual threads. While an RP mod can certainly do some of those things, An event moderator would be able to make sure an event is running smoothly.
Another issue ive noticed is that staff running events tend to get bogged down doing the event and fitting in the time to do the event posts. An event Moderator would only be focusing on the posting, they wouldn't be doing character grading or any other type of grading beyond the grading for a thread to award PP and gifts for participation.
In summery:
An Event Board, with proper sub-boards will greatly increase the ability of staff to maintain records and lists of rewards for participating in the events.
An Event Moderator would be able to do the following
All in All, its time we seriously look at how Events are handled on the site. As well as some other things, which i will try to make seperate threads for.

An Event Moderator would be able to do the following
- Be able to work solely on events and make sure they are run properly.
- Keep track of posts to make sure event threads are being payed proper attention too.
- Create proper rewards and incentives for participation in the Events.
- Creating Events in and of themselves.
