Wrist Issue

Update time!

My hand is now back to normal and I've taken steps to keep it that way. So, posting should resume soon.

The not so great news is my grandmother, who had a heart attack last night and was rushed to emergency. For obvious reasons, we're very worried. If you're the kind of person who's willing to pray for that sort of thing, she (and I) would appreciate it.

The better news is that
a) They caught it early enough to do something about it.
b) Preliminary checks show that fairly little damage was done and that there are (presently) no signs of worse things that tend to come with this. She's conscious and joking, currently.
c) She is a tough cookie in many respects. This is a woman who has lived on her own for about a decade, with zero assistance beyond someone driving her on occasion. She still makes food for many people (family and friends), does puzzles, operates computers at a basic level, is very, very good with sudoku, and has a very sharp wit. Full faculties, basically. Two years ago, when she was 91, she was deemed fit for highly invasive surgery and recovered very quickly (this is a totally different situation now).

So: while we're not out of the woods yet, and thus I'm not sure I'll be jumping in just yet, I'm hopeful things will be back to normal. Sorry again for the delay.

Okay, new update.

First and most importantly, my grandmother's a-ok. She was released today (she probably could have been earlier, but obviously you want to be safe) and is healthy enough to be going to parties. Not parties for her, mind, just other stuff that she didn't want to miss. She's going to have some of her extended family (my Mother, in particular) staying with her for safety, but all things are looking pretty good in that regard.

Second and much less importantly, my wrist is back to what appears to be full functionality. It was fine earlier, but for obvious reasons, I wasn't much in the RP mindset.

Third, my laptop's charger has apparently taken a few levels in Sorcerer, and proceeded to shoot lightning at me. This is an exaggeration, but smoke and tiny bolts WERE a thing. Anyway, I've gotten it to the point where it's still charging, provided I'm very careful to avoid making it move (and thus put it in danger again). The program in question that drew that much power to run has been temporarily stopped until I get a new cord, which will take some time. I say this to point out that, while I mostly have my computer, the ability to charge it is unstable. So, if I suddenly stop posting for a while, this is the likely reason.
