Gaen was running as fast as he could through the white washed halls of the Seireitei, though now they were bathed in the sombre colours of twilight as night began to set in. The quick pattering of his feet against the stone work walk-ways echoed strangely to him in the absence of the usual hustle and bustle that permeated the streets. Still, it was all background noise to what was playing through his mind, what he had read just ten minutes prior. He fumbled to tighten the medical kit on his back as he thought through the mission statement that had been handed to him. It had been a single sheet of paper, and a small package wrapped in brown paper.
4th Division Tactical Dispersion Office South Wing, 4th Division Hospital
To: Gaen, unseated
Subject: Field Mission – Seek and Apprehend unit, Medical Attachment
A fugitive has been detected by the 12th division Rietsu Monitoring Department. A field team will be dispatched immediately to apprehend the fugitive and return them to the Central 46 Courts for trial and sentencing.
Do to the threat level the fugitive represents, it has been decided that a dedicated Field Medic be attached to the unit.
Report to Seikaimon Gate 6 for transportation to the staging area immediately.
The first thing that went through Gaen's head, of course, was that he wasn't a field medic. Field medics were a very specific group of medics in 4th division, they had combat experience, they scored inordinately high in the bi-annual Hakuda or Zanjutsu testing, well, inordinately high for 4th division anyway. They even sat at a different lunch table in the 4th division cafeteria, and had a red medical bag sash tie instead of the more standard green. It was at this point that Gaen remembered he had been handed a small package with the sheet of paper. Opening it, he found a small card that was attached to a red medical bag sash tie.
Congratulations Gaen!
Due to your high scores in this last terms Hakuda trial, and the recent acquisition of your shikai, which also involved subduing a Gillian class hollow, you have been annexed by the 4th division field unit.
We look forward to working with you, have a lovely day.
I'm not a field medic! I'm not a fighter! I'm an anesthesiologist! I just want to work in the hospital. He said to himself, his breath exasperated, stressed, his hand tight around the new, red, sash tie that now kept his medical bag strapped to his back. He came to an abrupt halt as he rounded a corner and saw the Seikaimon Gate, his breath ragged, not from the run, but from his anxiety about what was coming. I... I can go back... I'll just tell them they made a mistake, I'm not field medic material... He said to himself, his feet starting to move to turn around, run back, get away from that gate.
I'll protect you. You need to protect them. Go. Came the familiar voice of his avatar, though much softer than usual, calming, caring, it felt like a warm hug. His trembling stopped, his heart beat came down and his resolve finally showed up. He jogged over to the gate, up to the attendant who was waiting there.
Gaen, unseated Feild Medic reporting for Seek and Apprehend mission. Gaen said, handing over his mission statement. The attendant took it and gave it a quick glance before giving a nod and stepping aside from the gate.
Good luck. He said, the gate opening and Gaen stepping through. He was still terrified, he really, really wanted no part in this, but it was his job now and he had to do it.
Already on Earth, Mana stood at the staging region (and designated Senkaimon access point) with a patience born of long practice. Disdaining the idea of wasting otherwise unoccupied time, she began running over preliminary plans for the operation silently, along with the data she'd recieved on their target. Shiori Sasaki. Traitor. Rogue.
Vaizard.
The thought of facing off against one of the Tainted struck a very real thread of fear in the librarian's heart. She'd read every bit of available information on them (and, given her position within the Great Spirit Archive, no small amount of classified detail), and none of it was good. Tendency toward immense spirit power, corrupted personality traits, sudden resurgences, none of it was predictable and what was, would hurt. What made it even worse was that Shiori was former Kidoushu, just like Mana (sans the "former" part, of course). Mana despised treachery, and her own experience with rogues was...unpleasant. The fact that she'd survived contact with a bankai-capable rogue, mixed with her own interest in hunting them down, had given Mana an unusual number of seeking missions. Most were much simpler than this one. Rogues rarely possessed any great deal of power, knowledge or support. This one though...Mana was utterly certain that she'd fail the mission if she'd gone alone. While proud to the point of arrogance at times, she refused to let that overcome her intelligence. So, when the initial reports had come in, she'd made a few personnel recommendations, in particular for a shikai-capable field medic. Getting caught without healing support was bad enough, but the thought that this mission wouldn't end with some blood was laughable. It would have been better to know who it was ahead of time, but since the request wasn't approved until last minute, she'd make due. Her kidou, the 4th's healing, Calvin's tech and Akatsuki's all-rounder would, hopefully, give a broad enough set of talents to make the mission a success.
The old-fashioned door to the Seireitei opened next to her in the darkened alleyway, and out walked a familiar face. Mana's eyes, which was about all one could make of her face, given the veil, raised in surprise. She'd worked with him briefly before. Perhaps the background check had noted it?
Hello again, Gaen. She gave a brief, polite nod as the 4th Division member arrived.
"T-There..I DID IT! ARE YOU HAPPY?!" Calvin screamed at the Zanpakuto.
"Yes, Yes I am. About time you stop being such a fucking pansy so WE CAN GO KICK SOME ASS TOGETHER!" Giteisho Hametsu (Ruin: Protocol), aka Troy, replied. The spirit's hands rapidly slapped against an old fighter jet's left wing, a grin on his face.
"But I like to make things..."
"Well so do I god dammit, but you haven't made my Fifties yet like you KEEP PROMISING, all this talk about waiting for the right time to be active and all that other bullshit. Seriously man, it gets boring here. I wanna see the Human World again, its been so fucking long. Plus we're ON A MISSION LIKE REAL SOLDIERS GO ON...and REAL SOLDIERS ARE ABSOLUTE BADASSES!"
"...but I'm a scientist..."
"..." Troy glared at Calvin
"..." Calvin blinked, staring back at Troy. "W-what?"
"I love you and everything bro, no homo, but you keep being a debby downer and I'm gunna slap the ever loving shit out of you." The Zanpakuto scratched the top of his head, and he looked away. "I suppose you did actually listen to me for once. So you're off the hook. Just keep doing what I say and we'll be golden, pony boy. So what time do we need to meet up with the goons?"
"Uh...I-I should have left um...Fifteen minutes ago..."
"....YOU WHAT?! GET OUT OF HERE SO WE CAN GET WITH IT YOU FUCKIN' RETARD!"
Just like that, Calvin snapped out of the trance via a mechanical hand slapping against his head a multitude of times. The 12th Squadman, Calvin Farrin, fought back the hands with his own words of frustration. Yeah, he got the hint. It was time to go and meet up with the others. He hadn't quite gotten around to reading up on the actual mission, something about hunting down a rogue. Troy had been so relentless in his mental assaults in regards to going out and doing something, and the need to 'kick some ass'...Well, when Calvin finished pulling strings here and there, he wound up with the chance to get involved in something he knew his Zanpakuto would like to do. The Shinigami didn't do this for himself, in fact he would have preferred just staying home in his personal laboratory...but Troy wanted out, and Calvin was too nice of a person to deny the more uh...crass part of himself this gift.
Calvin hurriedly went to the Gateway areas, making a mental note he'd have to work on blueprints for his own means of transportation out of the Soul Society for when he needed to go out shopping. The two mechanical arms held themselves up, all fingers on each folded into the palms, save for the middle fingers. It was his own way of saying 'Fuck this place, WE'RE OUTTIE 9000!' "Oh..uhm...I'm with the Seek and Apprehend unit..." The Guardians prepared the rift for Calvin's. They just glared, and he knew they wanted to scold him for being late...but what were they going to do? Nothing. At least, that was Troy's perspective on the matter.
Into his Gigai and now rushed into the human world, Calvin appeared down the alleyway. He spotted the other two, smiled and waved. "H-Hey...you guys with the uh...you know...group for the um, mission?"
"Ninth squad-," a loud and hurtful coughing, a hesitant and pained swallow and a pained grunt. "Akatsuki.. Out for the human world-.. Seek and Apprehend unit," the guardians nodded, still wondering why this man bothered to talk. They all knew he had a signed document he could use for passage, they all knew how much Akatsuki struggled to speak. But yet, here he was. unwilling to swallow his pride and bear the scars inflicted on him. He wouldn't let the pain stop him even once. The dangai was opened and Akatsuki pushed through the gate, simultaneously into a gigai that was prepared for him.
And he moved through the dangai quickly. An uneventful journey, surfacing ontop of the small building bordering the dark alleyway that was their rendez-vous.
With a soft breath, he moved his way down the fire ladder, before flicking over the side and slowly lowering down. Hanging upside down infront of the group, raising his hand in greeting. Before he flipped around and landed on the ground with a soft-.. Nothing? Not even a noise made. Not even his footsteps had resounded at all. "Akatsuki, Ninth squad," he introduced himself with the deep, gritty and most of all, damaged voice. Struggling to speak properly once more.
When Gaen came out into the dark alleyway, it took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the light, nearly tripping over a garbage bag as he moved away from the gate. It wasn’t until he regained his footing that he heard a familiar voice. The voice belonged to Mana, a kidoshu member Gaen had worked with briefly a little over a year ago. They had been trying to help with a strange viral epidemic at the time, and Gaen was honestly surprised the woman remembered his name. Between the stress of the event and the fact that Gaen considered himself largely innocuous, he just figured she may have remembered him as ‘that short one-armed guy’ if she remembered him at all.
Uh… um, h-hello again. Gaen stammered out, still feeling a little out of his element here on Earth, the looming knowledge that they’d soon be set out into a dangerous mission likely fraught with scary, powerful and angry things. Gaen was about to inquire into the nature of said scary, powerful and angry things when the gate opened again behind him, flooding the dark alley way with bright white light. Gaen turned to see something very odd that made him jump from a mixture of the oddity of it and the anxious nerves he was home to. When the gate vanished, Gaen realized that the fellow before him was wearing some sort of apparatus, and wasn’t some sort of deranged mutated, multi-armed creature. At first blush, Gaen figured this man must have been 12th divisions contribution to this mission, though Gaen had to remind himself not to label based on appearance. While most of his division was small and meek, he knew several exceptionally large medics who were constantly mistaken for 11th divisioners.
H-Hey… you guys with the uh... you know… group for the um, mission? He asked, and it actually put Gaen at ease slightly. He didn’t seem to be the only one a little out of sorts, which was comforting. Then he remembered that they all had to be very, very on point for such a mission, so being out of sorts wasn’t the best state to be in.
Hey, um, ya, I just got here, I’m Gaen, from 4th division. He said, giving a little wave, not sure of the etiquette for shaking somebody’s hand who had a surplus of arms where Gaen was actually at a deficit. He was about to introduce Mana as well when Akatsuki soundlessly swung upside-down directly beside him. Gaen wasn’t sure if his heart stopped, or just started beating too fast to notice the thumping, but he definitely jumped higher than when Calvin had come through the gate.
COOKIES! He exclaimed, as he got his heart rate under control. Akatsuki, man, you scared the daylights out of me. He said as the man found his way to a standing position soundlessly, introducing himself to the group. Gaen noted the still damaged voice, remembering his promise to get his friend some herbal teas that could help. It’s nice to see you again. Do, uh, do you know if anybody else is coming, o-or what the actual mission entails? My mission documents were pretty, uh, scarce on details. He asked, more to the group than to Akatsuki, who he knew had a hard time actually talking.
There Are No Limitations. Only Ignorance Demands Otherwise.
Mana gave a bit of a start with Akatsuki's sudden arrival, but halted the reflex to begin casting when it became clear who it was. Releasing the tension, she addressed the group collectively. It would appear everyone has arrived who was to be assigned, so let us begin the briefing. This mission is a apprehend-priority, with target death an approachable option if capture becomes unfeasible. Despite that, holding back could prove fatal. I care significantly more about the team's survival than that of a traitor's. Reaching into her robes, she pulled out a scroll with a detailed image of the target, taken from general records.
The rogue is Shiori Sasaki, former member of the kidou corps. Unsurprisingly, she is a capable user of kidou, as well as a shikai-capable opponent. Known abilities include damaging counter-technique usable in response to our own abilities, as well as body-disrupting abilities on contact. Full details are unavailable due to her departure. Most critically, she is no longer a shinigami proper. She is a vaizard. She let that slip in for a moment. If it was a bit too dramatic, so be it. This needed their full attention.
The infusion of hollow energy makes her more dangerous than most rogues, capable of utilizing cero and bala, and potentially other non-kidou abilities. We will need to be operating at our utmost, with a wide variety of options. As a kidou corps member myself, I will be able to provide support with long-distance offense, bindings and point-to-point transport. I am of...limited use in physical confrontation. Given Shiori's ability to disrupt energy forms at close range, once combat begins in earnest, I will be forced to keep even further away and rely on indirect methods. Nevertheless, if need be, I can teleport you to me if necessary. Don't rely on that exclusively, as it's not instant. her tone was the utmost seriousness as she described what little they knew about their target and their options. Continuing from that point...
Given the danger, we will need to exploit every option we possess and use them in proper tandem. While I have a general overview of your abilities from your dossiers, that doesn't paint a complete picture, and we all need to know what we can do. Therefore, I propose we each describe any potential strategies and abilities we possess and how we can combine them.
OOC NOTE: Post order is disabled for the duration of the brainstorming.

Ones' only option is to strive for ones' own goals. If one cannot even do that, then one is lower than garbage. Worthless, for that one takes up space in this world while giving back none. That one would be better off dead.
The end is the only thing certain
It was one of those days. The sun was shining, birds were singing, people were smiling, and hollows were running amok. Well, one in particular being an adjuchas that seemed to settle on the idea of having Shiori as it's next meal. She on the other hand had different plans. Now this was the first time she'd had any real confrontation since becoming a vizard and well she was curious as to how much her power had grown. She was bouncing around from roof top to roof top dodging the attacks thrown at her by the hollow, none even coming closer to her. Well she knew she was fast enough to out run the thing, without shunpo. Now her mind was more curious as to how she could deal with the bala that it constantly fired at her.
She came to a stop her right hand raised and then moving swiftly as she batted each bala away. There wasn't a single scratch on her, her lips broke into a smile as she closed and opened her hand. She was tempted to pull on the mask, but for something like this it would be a waste. As she thought about it she could feel a gathering of reiatsu somewhere close by behind her. She turned to look, noting a group of people down in an alleyway about five blocks away. From what she could tell, they were all shinigami, perhaps she should let them handle this situation here instead. Her train of thought was broken when she saw a red light heading her way, at first she thought it was another bala, but upon inspecting the attack she noticed it was a cero, and it was close. She entered another shunpo, narrowly dodging the charged beam from the hollow. When she reappeared she was standing within the centre of the gathered shinigami. Her long hair hid most of her face as she touched down around them.
"Ah, you guys might want to look out," was all she said before entering another shunpo getting out of the way of the incoming cero. Whether or not the others managed to dodge it wasn't really her concern, but she supposed she'd had enough fun. She exited her step behind the hollow with her blade already drawn and swinging downwards. It cut through the hollow effortlessly and she watched as it slowly faded into nothing.
Gaen was both happy and sad to hear that this was the sum total of the mission group. It meant they could get started, and while Gaen was in no means eager to start a mission of this variety, the anticipation was worse. He was a little sad though that they didn't have more back-up in this mission, he figured many hands made light work, one person out of this team seemed to exemplify that very ideal. His concern in that matter was exacerbated when Mana had mentioned that holding back, regardless of the preference for capturing the target alive, was not advisable due to the supposed strength of the target. Gaen didn't think he had anything to worry about, if all things went well, he could go all out regardless because his targets were his compatriots. His most powerful techniques were aimed towards restoring life and keeping others healthy, so he didn't have any issue putting everything he had into the mission. He was more worried about his team mates who would be substantially less removed from the task of subduing a dangerous and powerful target. He doubted Akatsuki would have much issue attacking to kill, their previous mission together showing how far the masked man was willing to go in the name of his duty. The very well armed fellow who had, at this point, not introduced himself, Gaen didn't know enough about to say whether or not he took issue with attacking with the intent to kill. He seemed to be from 12th division, and much like Gaen, may not have the combat capacity to actually kill if he DID go all out. Mana... she seemed almost enthused about the idea of forgoing the 'capture' part of the mission, and while Gaen appreciated that his life was valued by the kidoshuu member above the mission objectives, he didn't like how tenable murder was as an option.
As Mana went on with the briefing, Gaen grew less hopeful that capture was the most achievable option. Their target could disrupt their bodies with her shikia abilities, knew potent kido, and could draw on the standard play book for hollows. And other stuff they may not even know about. While Mana certainly seemed off-put by the fact that their target was a Vizard, Gaen had no opinion on them one way or the other. The academy had not covered them in depth, and from what Gaen understood, they were somewhere between a victim of some kind of spiritual infection and a delusional militant bent on the destruction of Soul Society. Either way they were quite dangerous, but he felt an insufficient amount of study had been put to the matter. Could they be cured? Was the Central 46 blanket policy of hunt and capture strictly necessary if these people didn't seek out this disease? He even thought of bringing up the idea of opening a dialogue with this... Shiori lady, ask if she would like to return to Seireitei and plead her case. He decided to keep that idea to himself until after the briefing though.
As their leader was going over her own abilities (some of which Gaen had seen first hand) the one armed medic was suddenly faced with how few ranged options he had available to him. He would have quite enjoyed working from the side-lines, firing in healing kido to help his allies, but all of his abilities required a fairly close proximity. His shikai could heal at a distance if they were connected by something living, but barring the eventual confrontation occurring barefoot in a grassy field, he'd have to get more inventive. When Mana had finished listing off her capabilities, she offered it to everybody else to go into their own. It made sense to know what everybody else could do of course, best way to make up a battle plan, though nobody really seemed to be jumping at the bit to be centre stage.
Uh, I uh, I know the fairly standard, you know, healing kido, and uh, I recently got my shikai. Her name's Holla, she turns into a new arm for me. He said, pointing to his shortened stump of a right arm. She allows me to heal more efficiently than standard kido, I can heal anybody I touch, either personally or through a living conduit like a tree or another person. I uh, I may also be able to help with the body disrupting powers. Holla lets me make chemical cures and inoculants for poisons and other ailments. I don't know if that will help, but, uh, I'll try if it comes up. He said, looking over to either of the other men with him to start up.
What about when I take the drivers seat? I turn your whimpy little body into a damned tank! Didn't think to mention that? Holla said, sounding a little indignant.
I'd rather we didn't do that if we can help it. I can't heal anybody in that form, and that's my job here. He thought back to her, though he didn't expand on the fact that he was a little more than nervous to use that particular power. It was uncomfortable, invasive, and he felt it was a perversion of his healing powers, focusing everything that made his shikai a potent healing tool into a weapon. He didn't like it.
Oh, uh, is there any chance we can just, you know, talk to - Gaen was about to put forward his somewhat naive idea of opening a friendly discussion with their target when somebody with long dark hair in a martial art's outfit appeared in their midst. She said something about 'watching out' before vanishing as soon as she had arrived. The alleyway lit up with the red light of a fired off cero and Gaen suddenly realized what she had been talking about. He vanished as well, jumping up to the top of one of the buildings that made up the alleyway, dust and debris flying up from where the cero had hit. He was concerned for his team mates, but he considered himself rather slow, so if he was able to vacate quickly enough, he doubted anybody else would have had an issue. He looked up to see the mystery woman dispatch the hollow with relative ease before asking if they were ok.
I'm okay, thanks for the heads up! Gaen shouted up to her, waving happily before hopping into the air to introduce himself properly. I'm Gaen, it's nice to meet you! He said, coming up level with her, putting his hand out in greeting.
Gaen... uh, that's her. Holla said, a little surprise and concern in her voice. Gaen was actually a bit confused by what she said.
Her who? He thought back at his avatar before he finally actually bothered to take in the face of the person he was looking at. Honestly, Gaen was horrible with faces, but it was kind of hard to miss the eye-patch. It took what felt like a full minute before Gaen reasoned that their weren't likely to be many shinigami wandering around in human clothes with an eye-patch in the area they were looking for a human clothed shinigami/hollow hybrid with an eye-patch. To the young medic's credit, he handled the sudden realization with a very fluid and simple response of passing out and falling from the sky.
as long as you remember me, i don't care if everyone else forgets.

This was still all so surreal to him, everything that had ensued was still far too good to be true. Ever since he had graduated from the Academy his entire world had flipped upside down. Literally. It's not like the Hirashi were jumping for joy when they found out that he was admitted into the Academy. He was a bit of a softie back then. He was so scared of his own shadow, to say the least, but he didn't complain. He had been deemed unfit for the Academy so early on you can imagine the shock of the family when he strolled in one afternoon and announced he was departing. Just as they had been shocked then, the family's jaws dropped when they got word of the young softie being skilled with a blade and graduating near the top of his class with consideration of joining the Ichiban-tai. The Hirashi family weren't surprised however when he declined their offer to join the Yonbantai. He remembered when they said, "You may have learned how to pick up a sword, but you're still a coward if there ever was one."
Fast forward a few years and Harume was in Karakura Town on his first mission to help subdue a rogue Shinigami. For someone who was such the crybaby, he managed to be volunteered for a dangerous and equally important mission to subdue a rogue Shinigami of the Sasaki house. He wasn't really the fighter though. That wasn't his style. He was a pacifist that preferred not getting his hands dirty unless push came to shove. And this? Well, this was just a standard mission with members from other divisions some of which were built for combat. Good thing too, he had decided that he was going to stick to the sidelines unless necessary and play the famous White Mage.
The lad had it all planned out too. There was a reason he was selected and he was more than happy to show that he could hold his own. But he wasn't ready to share the details of his battle plan to anyone just yet. The sun was beating down on the city of Karakura Town when he arrived through the Seikaimon. It was a sunny day, the bright rays were glistening across the concrete and the birds were singing high in the skies. There was a cool breeze and the hustle and bustle of the Human Realm were music to his ears. His time of arrival lagged behind Gaen as he had gotten caught up tying up loose ends before leaving. He didn't want to come back with a bunch of shit on his plate, too much of a hassle. The minute he was devoid of assignments, our young lad followed the pretty butterfly and arrived only a few meters from his comrades. There were four of them: three boys and a girl. He trotted towards them with his hand in the air, holding up the universal peace sign as he approached them, face in a neutral expression. It seemed he was already late to the party as when he arrived, everyone seemed immersed in deep conversation the pleasantries already out of the way.
"Yo. Harume Hirashi, it's nice to meet you all." He paused and took in everyone's features up close before he spoke again. "Enough of the pleasantries though, do we have any leads on the target aside from what little information they briefed us on?"
He gripped his zanpakutō with one hand and put his free hand on his hip. He was ready to get this party started. Something told him the party already started as a girl came landing in front of him. Raven black hair, styled short, an eye patch ... good lord if he didn't know any better he would've sworn the girl was his sister. He wanted to look at her a bit longer but her warning made him turn his head over his shoulder and notice a bright red beam coming towards them that made him choke on his spit as he cracked a silent shunpo onto the closest near by building. When he reappeared he would be hunched over panting and clutching his chest all the while glaring daggers at the other eye-patch Shinigami then back to the vaporizing alley.
"Akatsuki, assassin, duelist," he managed to say with fractured voice towards the newcomer, another shinigami. Before letting out a soft, hoarse cough and shaking his head, turning on his heels slightly as he felt reiatsu flaring, the sensation of a high powered hollow discharge closeby. He ducked through his knees slightly, hand resting on the hilt of his blade, before he flickered out of existence. Being the only one who seemed to decide going for the adjuchas was the wisest idea. With a soft click, the wakizashi slowly slid from it's sheathe. And Akatsuki reappeared again behind the Adjuchas. His movements swift and price as he caused a rather agressive move for the hollow-..
Only to have it stolen from underneath him by someone that was swift and stronger than him. Yet, she fit the description. Eyes behind the mask went wide. Lips pressed down in a thin line. And Akatsuki flicked forward with the same momentum, aiming to slam his wakizashi down into Shiori's shoulder and impair her before a proper battle even started. With a soft sizzle, the blade came whirling down. No questions asked, no respite or breaks given. This was the only chance he had at this time. While it was not a killing blow, he presumed it'd cause enough damage to cause shock and relay the message that if she didn't comply, there could be serious harm in it.
Description: Ninjutsu, in a literal translation, is the art (or ability) of ninja. Ninjutsu is an incredibly uncommon martial arts, learning it would be hard unless you knew somebody who had the art passed down from a previous dynasty. But you never know.
Ninjutsu in it's main form is to assassinate people, simple as that. It's attacks are focused around hit-and-run, remaining silent, and killing in one shot. No exceptions have been since made, and those who could not do this as a Ninja often times got executed for being terrible at what they did.
While the details are foggy, the most prominent of Ninjutsu styles or stances is a simple, non-formed style which focuses on keeping the weight on the left leg to allow for pivoting attacks. Outside of that, Ninjutsu is only detailed on how much they included within scrolls from ancient times.
Name: Chinmoku [Silence]
Class: Hand to Hand Technique
Type: Supplementary.
Range: Self.
Tier: II
Description: Those who take up the mantle of a Ninja are taught to be completely silent, to make no noise, to leave nothing behind. Chinmoku is the spiritual equivalent, for while a ninja could be quiet, absolute silence is only achieved through ones spiritual energy masking all sounds from the user outside of abilities. Chinmoku, while being a passive, is instantly broken upon using an ability that causes sound (i.e: flame, shikai, etc) or visual antics, and requires two turns for the spiritual energy to reform and create the silence again.
Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)
Class: Stepping
Type: Stepping
Range: N/A
Tier: I
Description: A movement technique that allows the user to move extremely quickly over short distances. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. Therefore what determines the level of skill in a user for Shunpo is best characterized by how fast one can get from A to B in the least amount of steps.

The end is the only thing certain
The first one came up to her and began to introduce himself before he seemed to recognize her and then fainted. Well that wasn't good, if he recognized her that meant they were here for her. Perhaps she'd been a bit too active lately? Still it seemed most of them were scattered after the sudden cero so she probably had a decent chance to get away before things got complicated. Or so she thought anyways, one of the shinigami had attempted to take out the hollow and had been closer to her than the others. The masked shinigami decided that if he couldn't have the hollow she was his prize then. As he came at her she swung her sword upwards towards her left shoulder so that the flat of it would come into with his wakizashi and parry his attack. At the same time she would step back with her left foot so her side was facing him letting her dodge the attack if she failed to parry it, and also setting her up for her next attack. Her right hand jabbed out quickly, her intentions of slamming the hilt of her zanpakuto into his stomach. Regardless if she hit him or not she would immediately enter a shunpo and carry herself away from the rag tag group of shinigami.
She wasn't sure she wanted to be their entertainment for the evening. She would reappear about 75m away from her previous position. "Now what exactly did I do to warrant such treatment? Is that how you say thank you for having your life saved?" She tucked stray strands of her long black hair behind her ear as she spoke, revealing her eyepatch over her left eye.
