So I've read through all the threads, but I still have my doubts. I want to do two things with a solo thread.
Firstly is up my Hollow techniques mastery up to above average so that I can advance to ML-A.
Secondly is to train a custom release skill.
My doubts are as follows: Can I do both things in the same thread if I write enough, and if so how much is enough? And I have doubts for the skill because it is specifically a summoning technique which are simply -
When I write the skill, do I include the release themed techniques I want to give them? If not, when do I train those? And do they have to all be written in separate technique applications or can they all be included as part of the summon?

1.) Yes, you can train both in the same thread. How I used to train (note that this was way back before the plot point system existed) was that I would split a training thread up into one post per technique/training target (i.e. if I wanted to train five different Kido spells in a thread, I would do like, an intro post and then five training posts, one per spell).
2.) There has never been a flat word count requirement for training techniques/masteries as far as I know, it's always varied on the quality of the work. It's been a while since I've done training, but I recall roughly 600 words being good for mid-level techniques if the quality is good, and obviously less for lower level techniques and higher for upper-level techs.
My best guess would be that your summons' techniques would have to be trained individually. Asfor how to app them, depends on if you're putting other techniques with it and how many. If you're just putting up one summon and its techniques, that can be on one app, but remember that each app has a 5-technique limit (i.e. the summon and their four techniques, of less if you so choose.)

Well then that answers almost everything. All I need then is confirmation as to whether I need to train the summon's techs separately.

Ah. Bummer. No matter, it's sensible enough - I just had to make sure.
