APPEARANCE
Hitomu wears the standard Shikasho and shinigami garbs, as well as the standard tabi and sandals. The white undershirt is also present. However, what really makes Hitomu stand out is the red cloak he wears over the standard uniform. He wears grey bandages around his face to conceal his disgust toward himself, to frighten and unnerve potential targets, and conceal his identity, as is standard for a member of the punishment force. He possesses tan skin, messy white hair, and lifeless black eyes. He’s around 5’8 in height, and weighs 190 pounds.
PERSONALITY
Hotumu isn’t much of a talker, due to his focus on his goals and ideology. He is accustomed to working by himself or in small groups when carrying out assassinations. As such his social skills dip on either on the side of his philosophical standings, or in the area of how he intends to kill his enemies. He aims to volunteer for the more dangerous missions in the seireitei in order to lower the dangers among fellow shinigami. He holds strong to the ideological view of being a “Hero of Justice”, and purge the seireitei of what he deems as evil. He almost never sleeps, staying up at almost all hours with the intention of following through this ideal.
He's very sharp, Hitomu is a very intelligent man. He excelled in all of his classes in the academy.
HISTORY
When Rukongai 27 first found Hitomu Daisuke, he was already without hope. Emotionally and psychologically scarred from his life, even when he couldn’t remember it, he set out to find a family of his own. He was 22 years old. He walked the days and nights aimlessly, like a ghost, no, like a phantom. No food, no water, no friends, nothing to hold his gradually growing rage at bay. Who was he? Why couldn’t he remember? He ate out of garbage cans, refusing to steal like others. Eventually, he was found by the rich Barron Daisuke, a notable cloth salesman in the district, and Hitomu was brought into the family business. It wasn’t until after Hitomu was brought into the family that his true colors were revealed. Barron led a double life as a notable merchant, as well as a hitman, indulging in a power fantasy and desiring more money. Hitomu became accustomed to spending his days selling cloth at one of his stands, and not seeing him at all.
After around four years of actively trying to find and reach Barron, was Hitomu able to convince him to take him on an assassination in an effort to bond with him, Barron begrudgingly complied stated, “If that’s what you want...just don’t get in my way.”
Hitomu regretted his coming instantly, the sight of the killing of an innocent-no the killing of someone in general brought a nasty taste in his mouth, but, even after witnessing a gruesome murder, he still desired Barron, no, his father’s company, so he kept going. Time and time again he watched him kill innocents. Each death took a toll on Hitomu, until he eventually fell into depression. Barron was a serial killer, that much was certain, it was as if he had some sort of addiction, he was never rude about it, he always seemed like a personable guy, he just had a serious problem. Alas, something within Hitomu stirred, a feeling he never felt before...hope, what if he killed...no, could he…?
It would save a lot of people. He kept going on the killings, waiting for many years, attempting to bring up the nerve to kill his father, and just like that, he killed him in cold blood, stabbed him right in the back as he was slicing someone's neck. It was...anticlimactic, but desperation and guilt led him to do it. He knew he couldn’t cover his tracks with a big name like Barron Daisuke being exposed. So he fled to the shinigami academy, taking a red cloth he was given as a symbol of his family with him. He supposed he could have turned Barron in, but he feared that his connections would enable him to go scot free. It was out of fear that enabled him to become a shinigami, but, ambition soon took hold. Yes, he soon wanted to become a hero of justice. Becoming a member of squad to and then the punishment force was the only choice for him.
